No, I wont touch it. Here is why:

Its important that you understand the meaning of the flag of what it was and what it is, and its origins. The writing on the flag reads, "There is only one god, Allah, and the prophet Muhammad is his messenger." or "There is only one god, and he is god", is the best way I can translate. I'm sorry but the British and American democracy are based on free speech. Unfortunately, If people want to have the swastika or the ISIL flag on their gardens let them! It's hypocritical by the people of America to allow the confederate flag but not the swastika. The flag is known as the "Black Standard", and is part of Islamic tradition.
The text at the top of the flag is known as the "Shahada", and is a transliteration of "There is no God but God, and Muhammad is his prophet"
The symbol at the bottom of the flag is the Seal of Muhammad - this was a symbol that Muhammad inscribed into letters he wrote to leaders of Byzantium, Persia, Ethiopia, Egypt, Syria, Bahrain and Kashmir during Islam's earliest days.
The flag as a whole has been around for about as long as Islam itself: Muhammad used a similar flag as a symbol of his conquests, specifically to contrast himself to the Roman traditions regarding flags and standards of their own legions. So in short, the flag has been around for centuries. The ISIS adopted the flag, and twisted its meaning to their own cause. But its origins and its meaning do not change. Because the flag has always had a religious meaning , I cannot and will not censor it. I hope everyone understands.

Vegas

That is a pretty good summary of a very long story.

Not to get into a debate, but it is ALWAYS a political / power agenda that brings religion in to justify a conflict.

Terrorism or war in the name of a religion goes back to the days before the current religions existed.

Ok Ill gonna be straight with you. I think your a great guy, and an amazing FLY supporter, and frankly you deserve all the rewards, but help us understand why Spiralout who shattered our trust in every way sent you a large amount of fly? Im serious, Im not being difficult and I want to reward you, but you are the only one that knows the truth. Please explain so we can support you and welcome you.

Vegas

I think SpiralOut straighten that out in his post.  I don't know him, he doesn't know me.

I missed his big dump on Cryptopia, damn!
I had a few bids up on the buy wall, but nothing near what went through.  Someone was there to catch it, it wasn't me.

So I understand your explanation : Spiralout sent about $500 US worth of FLY to a random address, and you were just lucky enough to have that address? Did I understand this correctly? That sounds plausible. Ill put you right back in rewards, thanks for your explanation.

Vegas

Oh Crap!  Random address?!? you mean it was not on the exchange?
It could be sitting there in an address I used!
I will try open the other wallet I deleted to be S-FLY compliant!  Your freakin' kinding right!?

how would you connect wallets to people without a name claim being done?

Simple, if you don't do a name claim, you will not be exempted from the extra fee.

For this group, all unclaimed addresses are considered Pump & Dump traders.
Prove us the opposite Wink
I agree, if people are holding enough to hit the top 100
 - researched and read the website or BCT OP
 - Still don't make a Name Claim to avoid extra transaction fees...

Either don't read English & Espanol... or are up to something against the grain.

I have my addresses Name Claimed!  All compliant for the day coach is ready to put me on the list.

I just don't do posting on social media, so I need to find another way to contribute.   Undecided

Wait a minute!

I can see the fee schedule hard coded in the source as a temporary measure as it should not change often, but the Fee Exemption List?  You will need to release a wallet on all platforms everytime you need to update the list?

Would it not be a better solution to include or store the Fee Exemption List in the blockchain?  Or as a signed message from a specific address like the Super-FLY wallet?

This would keep the integrity of the list and not require a new wallet release when changes are need.

Just a suggestion, maybe you already have a solution in the works...

We already know that many talented people will try to circumvent the security, and when they do, there will be a nice surprise waiting for them with evidence of which wallet has been tampered with and other goodies. I will then post the names of those who tried to game the system along with evidence here.

and we do.. There is A LOT people dont know. The source is a tiny part of our checks. We already know that many talented people will try to circumvent the security, and when they do, there will be a nice surprise waiting for them with evidence of which wallet has been tampered with and other goodies. I will then post the names of those who tried to game the system along with evidence here. So all I can do is warn everyone.  But for those of you that are honest, not a thing to worry about.

Its truly amazing... Ive said it over and over again. I keep my word. When I say something, I mean it, yet people want to try my patience anyway.. <sigh>, all I can do is warn not to do something, but whatever.

Vegas

If people want to tinker and screw with it, they deserve to be knocked off the chain, exposed, etc.

I am more worried about missing an upgrade on my wallet.

My idea is to keep the wallet out of view and mind for longterm PoS.  If I keep watching it I'll be tempted to play with my PoS dividends...  Shocked

Now IF you support fly, I STRONGLY urge you to put big buy orders in , VERY LOW... 40k-70k? . When the dumpers see this table, all hell is going to break loose, and they will scramble and dump to nothing.. then after the fork it will recover HIGHER than now. If you have high buy orders in, DROP THEM!! Well below 80k.

Gawd I love crypto.

Vegas

Isn't this what we discussed 2 days ago?  You told me it was not necessay, and that low volume was better.

You want to mess with dumpers, keep the buy wall thin (10.0 FLY max per step) until the 0.0001 BTC level.

This allows legit buys until Nov. 21.

I ask a simple question to clarify things so I follow the rules...

I am called out as an idiot for not understanding...  then between yourselve you cannot agree on the proper way to follow the rules...

Not sure what you are meaning that we do not agree on the proper way but the 'rules' are two address. Does not say they need to be in the same wallet. So if you use one wallet (with two addresses) you need to do it a certain way. If you are using two wallet (one address in each) then you need to do it a different way. So there are two different ways of doing the same thing. Which is having a 'main' address and having a 'savings' address.

I started with two wallets.  Was told by Vegasguy, I could not have two wallets.  I gave Vegasguy my wallet addresses and why and where I used them.

I would have preferred having two wallets on two seperate computers for safety and security.

One Main wallet that is for deposit only.  The second wallet for my PoS earnings.

Having all the FLY sitting in one wallet on one computer just doesn't sit well with me.

No I am using only one wallet. Sent my name Claim to Vegasguy & kees a week ago.

In crypto I am the following personas:
 - midnight_miner  (BCT, Reddit)
 - mineur_boiseur (Bleutrade, Cryptopia)
 - jdavid (YObit)

That's all, no time for shinanigans.

To turn on coin control from the menu selection choose 'Settings -> Options' Change to the 'display' tab. Click on the box that says 'Display Coin Control Feature'
Then when you go to send you will see a button called 'inputs' Click on 'inputs' and a screen will show all of you coins and the address they belong to. Choose the coins from the address that you want to send from.

Awesome!  I know it had to be somewhere in the wallet.

Thank you TimC!

Vegasguy:  Change the wording on the OP, this paragraph mentions a secondary wallet... it's confusing.

Quote
You are also allowed only 1 "savings" address.
IF you want to sell some of your fly, you must setup a "savings" wallet (formally called multisend) as a  secondary wallet.
All of your POS rewards will automatically be sent there and you are welcome to sell them ONLY on the sell side

Perhaps describe the coin control instead as TimC explained to me above.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : v1.6.2 wallet released! The most trusted coin in crypto! on: November 19, 2015, 04:03:22 PM

As the fork gets closer, I would like to clarify the details to make sure I am in full compliance next week with the updated wallet.

This is what is stated in the Opening Page:

Quote
You are allowed ONLY 1 "main wallet" address.
You are NOT allowed to EVER make ANY outbound transactions from that main wallet address

You are also allowed only 1 "savings" address.
IF you want to sell some of your fly, you must setup a "savings" wallet (formally called multisend) as a  secondary wallet.
All of your POS rewards will automatically be sent there and you are welcome to sell them ONLY on the sell side

Is the "savings" address in the same wallet.dat as the "main wallet" address?  Because we are only to have one wallet, but sending from that wallet will be the same address either from "main wallet" address or "savings" address, will it not?

Quote
IF you want to sell some of your fly, you must setup a "savings" wallet (formally called multisend) as a  secondary wallet.

This statement sounds to me that the "savings" wallet is a seperate wallet.dat?

I have been told many times I cannot have a second wallet, but I cannot figure out how I will track my Main staking coins and my PoS dividends without seperating them into different wallet.dat

Am I missing a feature in the FLY wallet the does this?

If I have 2 receive addresses in the wallet can I choose which I am "sending" from?  I don't see how I can.

I am confused...   Huh

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/430

 open to proofs and crits!

one little trouble - the android link in the ANN under wallets seems to point to a linux wallet on vegas' site, i havn't changed it  ?

The Forum title:
[ANN] Flycoin [FLY] An experiment in Trust and Control

Need a better word to replace 'Control'

I know what you intend to say, but it may come across to readers much different.
I can't think of the right word at the moment...
 - Long Term Growth - maybe?

Well, what I can offer to do in order to be eligible for SuperFLY, is to open and maintain a thread in the Spanish section for FLY (Spanish is my native language).

I hope that count Smiley

Ągran idea!  Cheesy

Reminder: We will be hardforking for higher TX fees on the 22nd at 9am PST. This will freeze ALL funds on yobit, that will NOT be recoverable , EVER. You MUST withdraw FLY from Yobit by November 22nd 2015 or lose them forever. Our new wallet will NOT function with yobit. Also because of the logistics we wont be using a % fee. It will be decimals and as close to 10% as I can get, BUT it wont be absolute.

Vegas

Is the plan to have the wallet available before the hard fork?

Will the new blockchain happen at a certain block number or the change made on the hardcoded nodes?

Just curiuos... want to cut the staking maturity time to a minimum.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Team FLY : v1.6.2 wallet released! The most trusted coin in crypto! on: November 17, 2015, 07:37:37 AM

Its scares me when coins mint high percentage like this, if a real world currency did this it can ruin an economy. What does burn the coins mean?

Economies can print more money or really they are inclreasing the money supply.

A Proof of Stake currency is generated through interest, not printing or mining.  The high interest rate means how fast the money supply is able to grow, but this is based on many factors such as how many wallets are staking, and the amount in each wallet.

Crypto currency is not a direct replacement for regular mintable currency.  Each can be designed for a certain type of economy.

There are many toilet-papers sorry white papers written on these ideals by people with lots of letters after their names.

Can I be one of the top 20 wallets and make money from staking?

Some good deals on YObit at the moment.  You can buy 300 FLY for 1 BTC.  That is a good deal.

I think the bigger wallets are waiting for the wallet change before spending staking returns.  But that is just my theory.

Yes if u staked in the old wallet with the old fork so all staked coins wont hit the new fork and cannot exist there. But I am glad, that u found now the right fork and of course, ur coins back!

Yeah, I believed for some coins not shown it should be shown later, because old qt 1.6.0.0 has more block than ver 1.6.2.0, Thank you for the guidance, this will help for others who will encounter same like mine.

Me thinks this will be an issue again when hard coded nodes are used in wallet.  Unless these nodes are testing wallet version and refusing connection, or other sigevent to notify user of outdated wallet.

Hi midnight miner. I will be the first to admit that the same problem of wallet issues when we update has been an issue for a few updates. Kees is fully aware of this issue and we are going to test this new release like crazy before release, and do our best that this does not happen.

I am confident you and kees are on it, it's me the lazy, forgot to check for updates, user that starts pannicking when my wallet don't synch no more... and I missed a hard fork 2 weeks past. Smiley

'cause I am planning on tucking the wallet away to stake, ferment, and perculate FLY coins, and just keep putting coins into it.
