Hearn is not right, he is the exact reason why Bitcoin is falling, sooner it will rise up again though.
So you're saying bitcoin doesn't have big problems like a huge backlog of unconfirmed transactions caused by it being unable to scale in its current form? Please enlighten us? We have to acknowledge the problems and work to find solutions, not put dirt in our eyes and hope it goes away and we can sell coins to the next fool that is unaware of current problems. |

Not worried at all. I just wished he'd waited a little bit for my tax refund to arrive. Man, it can't get here fast enough. This is exactly the type of situation that money is earmarked for.
He mentioned all of this long before his blog post. It's basically a summary and announcement of him quitting. I can only hope this shakes and wakes up the community to unite us all again and we can finally start resolving bit coins problems to make it future proof. |

Why is kwuk still here? I stopped visiting this forum as much becuase of all the trolls, I come back, and it's worse. Moderators really need to step it up. This looks bad for the face of bitcoin if our community is a big joke.
Kwuk is here for his own reasons... I think we all know what that is.... But nobody listens to his crap anymore..... Yea we should really censor this place even more... we have to recognize problems and take them by the head, not ignore them and let bitcoin die. About 1/4th of my posts are removed.. I think that's more than enough... Price goes up price goes down.. it's all people care about these days... greed... I remember a whole different kind of community. I joined bitcoin for very different reasons... Everything was openly talked about back then, people would actually listen to each other and bring arguments to the table that could help improve bitcoin as a whole. |

We have to stop scamming around and start working on making bitcoin work for the future.
What many of us are doing is just killing it, which also means killing your own investment.
Acknowledge existing issues and try to work on it instead of playing blame games and pump and dumps.

Wow, so many doomsday threads going on here. I say that this is just a dip--a big one, but a dip nonetheless and I believe we'll rebound soon. I could be totally wrong, we could be going to zero but I don't think so.
It's a downward spiral. Already 30% of miners have shutdown their operation over this crash. Making the network significantly weaker and slower yet again. Bitcoins scalability problem doesn't go away with 'oh it will be fine, the price will recover'. Besides an unfounded position it's also a selfish one not considering the potential of Bitcoin for this entire world. There is serious work that needs to be done for Bitcoin to survive. Bullshit.... Yeah I wish I had some liquid money right now because I'd be on a buying frenzy. I'd probably spend the rest of the day buying all the bitcoin I could right now. There's really no reason for the price to crash like this. Yeah there has been some "bad news" the past couple of days, but if I've learned anything in my early career is that people are easily replaceable. I see it settling back out at $400+ once the selloff stops.
There are a lot of reasons why it is crashing and will not recover. Go educate yourself on when you're investing in. |

smart traders are having a good time buying all these cheap coins while the sellers are in a heavy panic trip. these guys will end up buying back at +$400 levels. i bought just over 2 bitcoins at $393 and 1 bitcoin at $385. i am quite satisfied now.
Will you still be satisfied tomorrow when it goes sub 350? |

Sorry but holding is just stupid. If you're a true believer it's stupid because it's an opportunity to sell high buy low and make enormous profits when it rises again as you claim to believe.

I think about 415-420$ there is an important support.
Ehh no... there is no support in that range... check the order books. ... No high value future for btc. With Hearn leaving it's pretty much guaranteed we won't even hold $300... Over the past week almost 2 million btc have been dumped.. that's insane.. |

Sorry for asking again kwukduck, I had posted this in another thread but then I forgot about it, but why are you so against bitcoin given that you registered in 2010? Is it because you sold all your coins for $1? If so, you are welcome to come live on the island once it is ready.
I'm not against it. I just see it for what it is right now and what some of us wanted it to be. I recognize the flaws and the lack of development. Bitcoin isn't dead yet but it definitely needs serious action if it wants to stay in the game. On both the development level and economic/social level. |
