581  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: July 14, 2013, 06:03:43 AM
Hello everyone, quick update for those of you who aren't on the mailing list. I have secured the asset at BitFunder and have been in contact with Ukto. I have also been in contact with the company lawyer. He has agreed to meet with me tomorrow (yes, that's on a Sunday) to finalize the IPO details and a couple other minute things. Everything looks to be in place for the IPO to be this week. Feel free to get ahold of me if you have any questions. Also if you don't receive a reply to any email you've sent me within 12 hours, your email service likely marked the mail as spam. Check all folders for mail!!!!

P.S. To my amusement, but also being a pain in the neck. The mailing list exceeded the amount of people the mailing service can send emails to at one time. So you're now in multiple mailing lists...  Cool

For those of you who are complaining about Butterfly Labs, I'm curious if you know any other Bitcoin ASIC manufacturers who produce mining hardware in any sort of notable quantity?
ASICMINER does.

you meant new pricely AM 10Gh/s and 5Gh/s.  I think you better take look at Bitfury asic miner.

Bitfury is the only other company I have my eye on at this time as they've made something that works and is worth it. I will be contacting them.

It really sounds like don't have much of an idea regarding the current mining environment.

I understand there are other manufacturers out there that are promising to make equipment.  But there are really only 3 companies who have produced anything that works.  Those being BFL, ASICMiner, and Avalon.  Avalon is way overpriced and far less trustworthy than either ASICMiner or Butterfly Labs.  ASICMiner has the ability to produce hardware more reliably than Butterfly Labs but they are only selling a limited amount of highly overpriced hardware.

There are 3 or so companies worth mentioning that have no hardware to show, which will be considered once they have something working to present, which if you read my announcement, I said I'd be considering other companies once they became a viable manufacturer.

Just because something is legitimate doesn't mean it is a good investment. Ordering BFL now is a horrible idea.

Everyone is entitled to have an opinion and make investments as they please.

So, you have been on a 7 months hiatus from the forums. Bought account I'm guessing.

No I've been reading this forum while posting on another. This shows my activity over the last 9 months on BFL's Forum, https://forums.butterflylabs.com/members/lab_rat.html
Oh OK, sorry for the accusation.

I didn't take it negatively. I don't mind proving who I am and that this company is legitimate.

I got to the "Initial purchases will be placed with Butterfly Labs, Inc." and checked out.

It's like an 'unintentional' pump and dump to start a security with future BFL equipment these days....

BFL is not the only company that LabRatMining will be purchasing from, but I've been to BFL headquarters and I like what they have going on compared to some other companies at the moment.

Why not list on an exchange?

It will be listed on bitfunder.

That site is temporary, I'm in the process of developing a new one. I have no problems confirming my identity with a trusted member of the community if that's an issue, but quite a few people in the community know me on a personal level.

I would like to whitelisted please, I have enough hours on other bitcoin forums and don't plan on starting any problems here.
593  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Whitelist Requests (Want out of here?) on: December 19, 2012, 05:44:29 AM
I would really appreciate being whitelisted.  It's in place to prevent bots, spammers, and scammers.  I'm none of the above and have a previous account that I no longer wish to be associated with.  Going through this process a second time is not enjoyable.

People said ltc would never be worth more than .02$ a few months ago; all I'm gonna say for now.

Excited for the day they hit $1.  I'm sitting on a little pile of LTC.

Did you find a pizzeria that will accept LTC? or is someone buying you a pizza in exchange for LTC? I don't consider selling LTC on an exchange for fiat, then buying pizza with it acceptable for this.

I'm new and only just starting to look in to bitcoin, hopefully it won't take me long to fully understand

It's an easy concept to grasp for anyone who has any computer experience, just takes a little bit of time.  Emphasis on the little.

Why isn't there a "stays the same" option?

Man, that's crazy-talk.

Agreed, it's not allowed to stay the same, and it's definitely not allowed to go down.

Make the wait a little more interesting?

A major bonus of Litecoins is the fact that transactions confirm so much faster.  That alone will add to the value of them.
