581  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips on crypto investment on: June 05, 2023, 09:45:16 PM
As newbies when investing in crypto don't be satisfied with your leading knowledge attainment about crypto, endeavor to continually do research on the crypto asset's you have invested on as it would aide you on a trajectory course  about your investment's. By so doing you're not easily taking by surprise on any misgiving that may arise about a portfolio you have investment with.

Another gateway to keep abreast is to get connected as a member of an active crypto community or platform. Having membership of different communities is an added advantage but make sure  they are a genuine platform with a good history just like bitcointalk.

As a matter of fact, it's very unsafe to depend on a single coin. In otherwords, invest into more than one token by spreading your investment into potential coins but be careful not to invest into pump and dump coins. Above all, make sure to maintain risk management in which ever crypto asset you are investing in.
Invest in those coins that have high potentials to be profitable. In short, stick with bitcoin and just diversify your investments with stocks, gold and real estate. That way, if one investment fails, at least other investments have still chances to give you passive income.
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Also Girls Should Be learned About Bitcoin on: June 05, 2023, 09:25:49 PM
I’m glad you and your sibling have realized the potentials of bitcoin and it’s a good thing really that you influenced your sister on the positivity of bitcoin. But since she’s a newbie, just guide her in all her decisions so she won’t maximize her losses in this volatile investment. This proves that not only men are capable to engage in bitcoin but even girls too. As long as there is knowledge about bitcoin, then everyone is free to invest knowing they also understand the risks associated with bitcoin investment.
583  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: June 02, 2023, 07:17:05 PM
It's essential to conduct thorough research, understand the risks associated with cryptocurrencies, and make informed decisions based on your own risk tolerance and goals. While Bitcoin has gained trust from many individuals and institutions, it's important to remain vigilant and stay informed about the evolving landscape of cryptocurrencies.

It's our responsibility to be vigilant in the first place especially if we are hodling huge funds towards bitcoin or with other leading altcoins in the market, we shouldn't be complacent of the fact that it is performing good in the past few months because there is no guaranteed profits in the world of cryptocurrency. Even the bitcoin, as the most trusted coin, is still risky to invest on. Being informed and keep updated by what is happening will keep us safe because in that way, we can move in what we think is preferred.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: An Intriguing article: How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy on: June 02, 2023, 05:12:40 PM
A logical fact with your last question, it's true if there's a real winning strategy we might see lots of casinos that's already broke now.

But the fact that we continue to see more and more gambling business to open up, meaning to say that
there's many losing gambler than those who manage to gain something from the house.

I like that argument that the winning chance playing in the long-term might lead you to lose your money
and that's mostly the case.

Playing long-term might lead you to lose your money as soon as your strategy is below 50% winning chance even with proper bankroll management or when it is below 100% with improper bankroll management. I hope I get the theory correct here, but I think so. In a way this is also included in the odds of bookmakers for sports betting. When they offer you a 1.9 on a 50:50 game, you might win 20 in a row, but if you place 2000 bets on 1.9 in a 50:50 situation, you will be broke.

The OP title is "How to Perfect Your Gambling Strategy" and to me that is not possible. You can't have the perfect strategy. It should rather be "optimize" and even then it doesn't translate into infinite winnings.

Yes, I definitely agree. There is exactly no perfect strategy because if there is, casinos would not be blooming since then because the risks of having this kind of business have increased because of that factor. What we only have are the logical ones to optimize our chances towards the game that we've chose plus the factor of luck which is indeed a very good match when it comes to betting but we all know that luck will be not on our sides always, so that brings us back to the most logical strategy.
585  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 02, 2023, 04:40:01 PM
So far the game is going about how I expected. Miami can’t cover MPJ and Ben Gordon. Looks like they’re leaving Ben Gordon open who is absolutely punishing them right now. They’re going to probably switch up and let MPJ run free in the second half. Nice to see Denver immediately exploiting their advantages. Miami is in trouble and we’re only 9 minutes in.
It's Aaron Gordon btw, and he's really punishing below with those smaller defenders on him. The switches Denver are absolutely stunning and I guess this will be a blowout game for the Denver unless Miami make some adjustments and decrease that outside shooting, they're really salty out there especially for Strus right now with 0-6 3PT FG.

Yeah, it was Gordon who are doing the damage and says the guard of the Heat is "too little", so for game 1, he has the impact for the Nuggets.

For Struss, we went scoreless for the first time in a series opener and they've lost big time. Time for him to make the adjustments next game, it might be over if the Nuggets scores 2-0. They haven't been in this kind of score in the playoff, they even went 3-0 against the Boston Celtics. But it seems this is a different team that they are playing and we should also give coach Malone some credit for inspiring his players.

The Nuggets have adopted a different approach this time around. Despite having a size advantage, they are not solely relying on driving the ball. They have shown excellent ball movement and have confident outside shooters. Jokic, in particular, poses a significant challenge for the Heat as they struggle to contain him, and he elevates the performance of his team. If the Heat can find a way to make Jokic's life difficult, there is a chance for them to secure a victory. However, the question remains as to how they will accomplish that.

Jokic creates good impact to this team since they don't know on how to handle this guy since if they guard him he can pass the ball quickly to any open teammates around and also if he left open he will make sure that Heat will pay for letting him shoot. Also Gordon perform very well on mismatches so I guess Heat coaching staff will find hard to figure out what strategy they should use since  they know for their selves that Nuggets is big and fast. If they only rely on Jimmy and Adebayo for sure there's nothing gonna happen since for sure they will just be dominated by Nuggets core.

Hard to deny that the Nuggets are just much taller with the Heat and that made the latter's situation a bit more complicated because instead of only thinking about Jokic's height as the biggest challenge of the team, they are also facing some taller guys within the Nuggets roster namely Gordon and Porter Jr. plus there is Jamal Murray whom cannot be left unguarded because Jokic will no longer have to shoot just like what he did in the whole 1st quarter when he commit 10 assists alone as Murray himself alone can carry the team if he will be left unguarded.

586  Economy / Speculation / Re: Know your time to HOLD on: June 02, 2023, 03:31:30 AM
Actually buying can be considered everytime because each day can be considered as good time to buy , but the problem is when we will be the selling.
and that is when the important matter comes , we can wait or not and that is your problem.
Buying it is right when the price is down or when the market is bearish where the price is uncertain, I know buying at any time is good unless you plan to invest in the long term, for example 5 years and above, but many people always do research in buying bitcoin they are then the current that occurs when the price goes down.

Are you still wondering when to sell bitcoins? If you buy at $27K then the bitcoin price goes up to $50K isn't that an advantage? In bitcoin you just need to be patient to wait for the price to rise again even for the long term is the best advice where we have to stick to it, next year will be very much looked forward to because it is predicted that the price will return to ATH again.
It would give us a great advantage if we actually know when is the best entry and best exit in the market.  That way, we can maximize the growth of our investment especially if our goal is for long term. And with the right attitude and patience over our bitcoin investment, it’s a guarantee that we will actually reap a very good outcome after our hard work and sleepless nights. Know that long term hodling is the key to a profitable investment, especially with a very volatile investment like bitcoin.
587  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A good way to help our children. on: June 01, 2023, 09:57:47 PM
Our children will not be as lucky as we are, we have to help them to know about bitcoins on time so they can have some for themselves. We are lucky because we are of age to know and understand what bitcoin is at this time when the value of bitcoins is still expected to increase not like our children who have no idea and it may be too late for them to make any gain from bitcoin when they finally know about bitcoins if you leave them. A good gift any parent can give to their children for their future is to enlighten their children about bitcoins so they have some knowledge about it at an early age and buy some for the children even before they can begin to get for themselves. What do you think?
Parents want only the best for their children so we will do everything to give them a bright future. But I believe by making them educated on bitcoin in the first place is the best legacy that we can pass on. Instead of providing them some bitcoin for their future, it’s best if we can also share with them how to accumulate bitcoin so that they will know what to do in case we’ll not be around anymore.
588  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: June 01, 2023, 09:39:04 PM
Earning money online is far superior to working at a physical establishment during the day. Although offline is highly appreciated and difficult. Trading is a great approach to find your true self. It will put everything to the test, including your greed, emotions, patience, discipline, how you handle failure, control, common sense, and resolve. I strongly advise anyone who is going through a terrible time in their life to learn to trade since it provides them a clear sense of purpose other than waiting for jobs. So, which is better, online or offline?
It’s undeniable how online jobs these days have become more profitable than offline jobs. However, when it comes to trading, though it can give us thousand folds of profits, but know that not everyone too is capable to trade and would make trading successful and profitable. Some just keep on losing and eventual quit in the end, the reason why trading cannot guarantee us with sustainable profits unlike offline jobs that really give fixed income at the end of the month.
589  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not rely on articles as resources to learn Bitcoin on: June 01, 2023, 09:20:21 PM
As long as the sources are adding information for someone who wants to learn more about Bitcoin and it's not corrupting the mind of its readers, that's a fine source.

These sources are even just for free and they've made of course by these exchanges or whoever sponsors them and have it put on their website. And that's the actual fee that every guest or visitor pays them, the traffic in exchange of the resources and information that they've included on these articles.

But it's true that some of these articles might be misleading and bias.
Yes, some of the articles are bias so you have to be very cautious on what to rely to. And as much as possible, do not just read articles but also take some time to see real videos too because that’s more convincing. And I believe experience is still the best teacher. You will never learn it all unless you have to experience it all by yourself.
590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: May 31, 2023, 09:43:11 PM
Your intention is good but I don’t think it’s a good idea to invest in crypto half of his total amount of retirement money. Yes, you can actually invest but only with a small amount so that if your investment does not end up according to your plan, your father will not see it as an issue. Though investing will double or triple his money, but let’s also consider that crypto investment cannot guarantee profits all the time, so invest at your own risk and invest with high caution, especially that is a hard-earned money of your father.
591  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto influencers secrets that all newbies should be aware of on: May 31, 2023, 09:18:21 PM
Long story short, some people do it for fun but most of them do it for the bucks. They all pretend they found gems when in fact the only thing happening is they got paid good bags of money and they have to play pretend.

YouTubers who don’t do this aren’t popular enough because viewers want to become rich. It sells so much better to pretend you found awesome coins and then just forget about them after 1-2 videos forever. It doesn’t sell as good when you say the truth and tell your viewers it’s not as easy to make it in crypto as it seems.

Lies over lies over lies. This is why you never trust a stranger for their word. You never know who’s paying them to speak to you like that.
True. Everything has got to do with money. And once they’re paid to do it, they will do everything even making the impossible become possible for people instead. That’s the reason why we can’t trust complete strangers saying that these coins are totally profitable and will make you rich in the long run. Investing in crypto will not make you rich, it’s your attitude and positive mindset as an investor that will make you rich.
592  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does a Morning Routine have any Effect as a Day Trader? on: May 31, 2023, 08:37:58 PM
Physical activities really helps your overall mood which is traders must do before they trade because they have to make sure that their emotions is stable. They include this to their trading plan because unstable emotion can lower the probability of your trade and increase the risk. If you're in emotional state it will lead to revenge a trade after a loss or consistent losses instead of taking a rest.
Not just only in trading, but any activity that you wish to do will always be influenced positively once you start your morning with exercise and healthy food intake. That way, your negative emotions will burnout and vanish and will attract positive emotions instead. So I think it would be very helpful if you keep on doing it before your decide to trade. Although I’m not really into this exercise every morning, but I’m really trying to keep my body and mind healthy and productive.
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Awareness as the major force for Bitcoin adoption on: May 29, 2023, 08:47:26 PM
Adoption of Bitcoin starts with you and me and this is done by good publicity through appropriate channels making people to know what they tend to benefit as the market bum as well as the negative impact during the down- trend.

The adoption of Bitcoin is gradually taking place because a lot of advertisement and publicity as you said has been done over the years irrespective of the fact that a lot of countries are to adopt bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies but I can attest  that people are
Very much aware of Bitcoin. When promoting Bitcoin it is very important for you to inform them of the problems that will be sold in the society if Bitcoin is adopted instead of telling them what the start to gain because they can not gain nothing if they have no knowledge because Bitcoin investment is not like other investments where you invest $50 to gain $150 within a short time.
As more and more countries have been aware and start to adopt bitcoin, then it simply proves that more people have now become aware of it and that global adoption is taking its place gradually. Not to mention a lot of crypto influencers have been attacking bitcoin and hype their own shitcoins, so even in this way, people will become more aware of bitcoin existence. But my only hope is that they should also be aware more on its positive points and all its advantages and benefits rather than seeing it as being banned or restricted in one’s country.
594  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 29, 2023, 08:06:06 PM
And Fulton - he's dominated this division for some time. Is Inoue up to the task of challenging his rule? We'll have to keep our eyes glued to the action to know. That's part of the buzz of the sport, isn't it?!

It was his time, but now it's Inoue's time. I may sound optimistic, but I don't see Fulton's skills being able to match up with Inoue's. I hope he won't regret changing his decision of not moving up to face Inoue. However, I have a feeling that Inoue will dominate him, and Fulton won't be able to withstand Inoue's powerful punches. Please note that I mean no disrespect to Fulton, but that's how I envision the fight unfolding.

I see as a fan and the basis from the previous fight of both fighters, Inoue's winning chance is higher than Fulton.

The decision though to stay in this current weight is really appreciable from the fans,
it gives Inoue a chance to strip it under his belt and earn the respect from this new division
but also on the other hand, if Fulton manages to upset Inoue, it will add more respect to
him and a good hypes for his career, more on the money side once he decided to move up
carrying the image that he beat the hot and sensation Inoue.

bookies are favouring inoue also on this fight to win. the odds are at 1.35x at stake for inoue. if you are rooting for inoue and want better odds for your bet, you can choose the winning method betting line - inoue by KO is at 2.18x or by decision at 3.05x.
wondering also if this will go the distance. don't know yet how will inoue attack on this weight division.
It is understandable because no matter what angle we try to see it and forget that Fulton is a champ, we can really say that Inoue almost got all the advantage needed in this fight because aside from having more experience in the sport, he also got more knockout chances with almost 88 percent while Fulton only got less than 40 percent, so it's quite much lower compared to the challenger.
595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: May 29, 2023, 06:48:31 PM
I make more bets against my favorite teams than any other team for any sport period.  The reason is simple, I know my teams better than I know any other teams. So I know their strengths and weaknesses and I can capitalize on that. It’s foolish to not want to bet against your own team if you believe with certainty they are going to lose and by more than the spread or money line.

Bet with your head, not your heart.

Loved this! Cool You got some straight facts right there mate and I literally view the same way as you are.

Reason is simple enough though, in any give time or day that my favorite team will play regardless of the sport, I'm always open and available to the fact that I could bet on the opposing team especially if I know that my favorite team is not literally equipped to defeat the opposing team. Being a sports fan doesn't not always mean that we should bet towards them even if we already know their chances are not that strong. I'm here to gamble for some profits and not some losses for the sake of supporting the team.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 29, 2023, 06:26:36 PM
I seriously did not see this coming, every game I say that Heat will win this time, first it was sweep, then I said 5th game, now I said 6th game and was wrong, well it's about to be 7th game and I wonder what's going to happen. I can't wait to see this because it would be worlds first ever 3-0 comeback and that has a nice ring to it, wouldn't mind it at all.

I think I am going to bet on Celtics, I bet on Heat so far so long and lost, and I think it is obvious that Heat is losing this due to not having enough confidence in themselves and Celtics has a huge momentum. Obviously Heat had momentum of 3-0 as well, and they lost, so Celtics does have the exact same 3 in a row momentum as well and maybe they will lose too? Hmm.. maybe I will refrain from betting this one and just watch as a fan of the game.

A tough match to bet, both teams will do anything to win this match. On the one hand, there is the demoralization of the Miami Heat, but on the other hand, there is the Boston Celtics, who want to achieve an unprecedented success in history. Their motivation is quite high and they are very close to winning this series.
I would love for Butler to win this series, but I don't think that's going to happen. I'm looking forward to the match Smiley

It will be a big disappointment and an embarrassment for the Miami Heat if they will fail to win this time, there are just too many games that they have wasted when they could've already fought their way to finish the series but they cannot just force it because the Celtics has been giving them a tough job in completing what is needed. Hence why we have come to Game 7 that will happen some time later. It will be a very tight game for sure as neither one of them is willing to give a huge gap, and I'm looking forward to see a low scoring game as well.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 28, 2023, 07:53:49 PM

And for Haney's future fights, Tank Davis seems almost impossible to do for now given that he (Haney) doesn't have enough time left in his present weight class. So I think his last foe will be Shakur Stevenson, which is the nearest, but if that will not happen as well, then we might see Haney fighting in the next weight class and possibly facing the WBC champion, Regis Prograis.

But it looks like Haney is looking to have a fight against Tank Davis.  He is aiming for it next year and Haney stated that if he do not get the fight then he might consider moving up to 140 lbs.  Aside from that, a boxer can move up or down of weight division
Quote
Haney realizes a fight versus Davis would do big business, yet he also acknowledged that he has just about outgrown the lightweight division. His next fight could be contested at the junior welterweight limit of 140 pounds, which would make Haney less valuable as an opponent for Davis or Shakur Stevenson (20-0, 10 KOs).

“You know, if I can’t get those fights next or it doesn’t make sense for it to be next, I’ll probably go to 140, test it out, see how I feel at the weight, at 140,” Haney said. “And then, when the time is right, then I’ll defend my belts at 135. We’ll just see, though. I’ve gotta go back and talk with the team and see what makes the most sense. That’s really all it boils down to.”

Haney knows that fighting Tank Davis will give him a fat purse, so it is possible that his manager will try to make a deal with Tank Davis.

It will be a much safer route for Devin Haney to just try out the next weight class without vacating his belts and see if he can handle some of the big boys in that division, and if it will turn out that it's too much for him, he can always go back in lightweight division where he already unified all the belts and where he dominated the division, although it's quite an issue for now because of what happened recently versus Loma.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: May 28, 2023, 07:11:04 PM
I do not have any investment in Doge yet but am thinking about it.

I am looking for investments that will 5-10x next bull run and looks like this is a good bet considering it's all time high is $0.70.

Many say it will go past $1 next bull run and it could well do but think I would get out around $0.70 which would be a 7x if I was to invest at todays price of $0.10.

Would be good to hear some views on this - are you for or against Doge?

For starters, I am not against Doge or any meme coins in the market. It's just that I don't see myself investing towards those coins and of course, I don't see myself wasting some time towards it because it's already clear enough for me that Doge or other meme coin in the market is not that profitable compared to what other thinks. Well, there are some people who got lucky in riding the wave, but most investors did not have the same luck as this specific coin is compeletely unpredictable.

If you're trying to invest towards a coin that will provide you decent profits, then there's a lot to choose from. All you have to do is to filter these coins and have some studies on which coin deserves to be invested on. 5x to 10x may not be reached in the next bull run but at least the risks are minimized.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: May 26, 2023, 08:17:03 PM
My, oh my! The Inoue fan club seems to be in session! No denying the man's an absolute beast, his punches are like lightning strikes - they're fast, furious and seldom miss! But, let me play the devil's advocate here, shouldn't we be asking ourselves - how will he fare in the 122s? He might be king of the 118s, but this new weight class could be a different beast altogether!

Do we remember Fulton? The man who faced Figueroa's storm and came out on top? If that's not grit, I don't know what is! I'm not saying Inoue isn't good, just that it might not be a cakewalk. And that, my friends, is why I love this sport! It's not just about who throws the hardest punch, but who stands up to them!

You can expect that there are a lot of Inoue fans here because he is a very popular boxer. I'm not underestimating Fulton, though. However, I believe he hasn't faced a boxer with the same power as Inoue. The boxers he has faced and beaten are not top pound-for-pound fighters, so Fulton might be surprised if he underestimates Inoue's skills.

Both boxers will be each other's acid test, not because we are underestimating either one of them but because we saw how these boxers perform against their own opponent respectively. It will be a challenge for both camp as they are undefeated but I reckon that the pressure are mostly Inoue because aside from this is his first fight at super-bantam, this will determine if he will remain undefeated or not while Fulton is not after about the outcome as he will jump in the next weight class regardless of the outcome.
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 26, 2023, 07:50:39 PM
Boston is now really back, two wins in a row, and both in a easy way
expected Miami to go Florida NHL route, sweep from position 8, but they are looking exhausted at the moment

Boston will obviously make finals with Denver more interesting, Miami would hardly get any win if they enter big finals
looking forward to next match, are we going to game 7, and big turnover

Next game will be on Heat's homecourt, I doubt that it will be the same case because I don't think that the Miami Heat will just approve to lose the whole series after having a 3-0 run over the Boston Celtics. It will be a challenge of course but after what happened, I still have my heart on the Miami Heat.
