581  Economy / Exchanges / Re: first purchase on: September 23, 2017, 08:44:52 AM
To get started, I purchased 250 dollars worth of bitcoin from the coinbase exchange.  My hope is with this I can learn how to send and receive to a blockchian wallet on my iphone and the process of backup etc.  I made the purchase Sept 10. and my account now shows funds available Sept 16.  6 days?  this is worse then moving money from a bank to my stock broker.  A paper check is faster.

Is there a simple explanation? Is this normal for most exchanges?

I guess your fee is so low, and so it varies, with that. The lower the fee the lower the chance you can get your money fast because there is prescribe or recommended fee for your transaction but you can put how much fee you want, and so it delays.
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does China hate Bitcoin? on: September 23, 2017, 08:18:29 AM
I think china believe that bitcoins are use for money laundering. So to protect the dignity they ban bitcoins. There should be an other reason for banned.i think they want to stop local exchanges. It was a big business in china and i wonder why they are taking such steps. Huh
583  Economy / Services / Re: ★☆★ BitcoinCampBot ★☆★ Never miss a Bitcointalk campaign again! ** FREE TRIAL! on: September 23, 2017, 08:04:39 AM
Last announcement: the service will be stopped after September 30. Thank you everyone it was nice trying at least.

You have already many paid members and you told its a lifetime  bot and only one time payment. Why are you closing it then ?
I understand that now no new customers are coming but wont  it better you make it a monthly renewable service, so u can get monthly income form already interested paid customers ?
584  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices rise high on: September 23, 2017, 08:01:10 AM

585  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin also lead to corruption ? on: September 23, 2017, 07:54:40 AM
You can't say it use for corruption, bitcoins are use for some negative activities like money laundering or drugs. Its all happening on internet and we can't blame internet for it. The identity of the person involve in corruption (using bitcoins ) cant be traced but bitcoin transactions are anonymous. There's some disadvantage of bitcoins.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long-term hodlfolio on: September 23, 2017, 07:13:22 AM
I'm planning to invest big chunk of my money into cryptocurrencies. I'm absorbing all informations since April 2017. So I'm still quite new but I feel confident enough.
I want to buy some hardware wallet like Trezor and put my money there. Everyday I'm reading news, watch youtube channels and others. Even attended on one blockchain meetup.
This whole stuff is taking so much time and is kinda stresfull but very fascinating at once.
I'm not gonna put all of my money at once, I will do it periodically in the upcoming months.

The main reason I'm doing that is I wanna invest my money so it would work for me and bring profits over time (I want to hold crypto for 2 years at least).
Other than that I wanna focus on other life aspects so daytrading isn't an option, I want to take some time off from crypto-sphere.

Here's my picks for long term hodling Cheesy
  • BTC (I'm thinking of 40-60% for the whole portfolio)
  • ETH
  • LTC
  • LSK
  • DASH
  • NXS
  • ETC

I'm only thinking of coins with future, as some of you may know there is a lot of coins that will eventually go down to zero.
What coins have bright future in your opinion? What do you think so far of my approach?

Good luck with that. Besides Bitcoin there is nothing that you're going to be able to put in that portfolio and actually show me profit overtime. Only bitcoin portfolio can give you granteed and risk free profit. Rest are all risky.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Drop on cards on: September 23, 2017, 05:34:49 AM
Hi.

Using RX 580's and a custom bios. Not getting any crashes using Claymore miner, and not getting any hardware errors in HWINFO

However every now and then one of my cards (can be a different card each time) drops its hash rate to a fairly low figure. It bounces up again, but of course this is effecting my average and reported hash rate.

my temps are all good, sitting nicely between 65-72.

What might cause this?
Is it always the same card or can you tell? The only thing I can think is that the way that work is being handed out that not every card is working on every workgroup. In other words, Perhaps it is being handed out to the cards at a different rate or following some standard or protocol in the software.

I suppose this would still be true even if it was the same card every time.
Obviously if there was something critically wrong that the card would never reach a higher rate.
588  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for an ICO review writer on: September 23, 2017, 04:28:26 AM
I guess it would be good if you post this in Service Announcement because I think this section is for BTC payment only and so you offer paypal method, unless you gonna change it to btc which is more convenient for everyone in here.
589  Economy / Services / Re: Nexchange.Io Paid Beta Testing, Paid Reviews, Bug Bounty, Penetration testing. on: September 23, 2017, 04:23:50 AM
This project seems so good and people are getting into it. I look for this service before and I will try this service in a while. I am excited to convert my alts to btc since it will be my first time to do that.

590  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinions about whitepapers on: September 22, 2017, 06:25:20 PM
What is your opinion of whitepapers you read.
I'm asking because I read few and was very inaccurate, very confusing.
Please let me know your opinion, thank you.

An actual true approved white paper is fine. When people put out there calling white papers are not actually accredited anyway.
But an actual white paper is something of value.
591  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring article writer for my blog[English] 7$/ article on: September 22, 2017, 06:16:05 PM
I was just looking at it another website and another thread that was also hiring. You need to do that someplace besides this forum otherwise you're going to get taken advantage of or no one's going to have trusted you. There are several reasons why this particular Forum has issues with trust and that is both on your end and yet people that you're hiring.
592  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: September 22, 2017, 05:57:49 PM
Of course not. Bitcoin is a commodity and not a currency. How would a commodity replace a currency? Do you think that I'm going to start going into the stores and using pork bellies to pay for my purchases?
593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: September 22, 2017, 05:39:30 PM
Where is the open-source for that piece of software? Until you show us open source for what that piece of software does no one's going to touch it especially on this forum

594  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was centralized? on: September 22, 2017, 05:31:19 PM
what do you think would happen to bitcoin economy if someone would actually take in control of it?

You and no one would use it. The only reason it's being touch right now is because of its semi decentralized nature. That is the single most gratifying thing about cryptocurrency. You take that away and you're going to destroy everything. People love bitcoin only for one reason and that is decentralization.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What If Bitcoin is banned? on: September 22, 2017, 03:39:57 PM
I will still use bitcoins. Not only me nobody can leave bitcoins. Banned bitcoins can help proxy sellers. Because only proxy/vpn can save our wallet and give access to block sites. In techincal terms bitcoin cannot be blocked .Only ISP of the government will block the bitcoin sites and blockchain protocol.
596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Every Coin and Token is a scam on: September 22, 2017, 03:28:50 PM
What is the information for based on? It seems like this is Based on zero fact. Where do you get the information and how are you making your Assertions ?  Not everything is a scam. Many people are earning good from pre-sales and ICO etc.

597  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: First cryptocurrency dedicated imageboard - TalkCoins.org on: September 21, 2017, 08:10:54 PM
Is there possibly another website that we do not need as much as this one? You actually believe that we need a dedicated image board? And you actually went to the point of making this?
598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the people who don't like Bitcoin? on: September 21, 2017, 08:08:12 PM
Why do you insist that we do anything with them they are people they're going to have their opinion and it has nothing to do with us. Why are you trying to push this out other people. Why are you trying to convert people like it's some sort of religion.
599  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question of Bitcoin Price Change on: September 21, 2017, 08:04:18 PM
There's some basic reason behind the change of price. Recently when mighty china banned the ICO its price drop. Bitcoin's value depends on supply and demand. You may not aware about it but its price start increasing again.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ANN][ICO] MONEYPOT X (MPX) -- Fuel the Moneypot Network | Built Products🌟 on: September 17, 2017, 05:04:39 AM

funny how your the only investor that is complaining

i won't comment anymore about this.

looking forward to the ICO. moneypot v2 looks so good

Seriously we dont need to be worry about an ICO if started by moneypot. They have no intentions to scam as they are already have a good repute in gambling industry and they will surely not ruin that for few bugs. I am planing to buy MPX today with 30% bouns.  Smiley
