581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: March 12, 2023, 03:04:27 PM
If Loma wants to get his reputation back after his Lopez fight he would need to go back and fight Lopez but I think the rematch did not happen because Loma did not have a injury to his shoulder instead he knew that he could not beat lopez because Lopez is at the top of his career and Loma knows he is slowing down and will be retiring soon.
Slowing down? I don't think that's what he thinks. Look at Lopez, because he thought he was unbeatable after he beat Loma, he lost to Kambosos who is not really a technical boxer. And we saw how Haney just made Kambosos a punching bag. I think it was Lopez who did not want a rematch, but Loma was eager to have one.

Haney is probably his last big fight and I think he will retire shortly after but I hope he wins so he can retire on a win.
Let's find out.

Magic ML @2.2 vs Heat

583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 12, 2023, 12:19:14 PM
Well, the All-Star game just concluded minutes ago and Team Japeth won by just 4 points with a score or 140-136. I didn't watch the whole game, but looking the players defending their opponents is a sign that this All-Star is probably better than that of the NBA All-Star where they are just letting their opponents shot. Congrats Team Japeth.

Paul Lee had a great All-Star appearance! After winning the 3-point shooting contest, he also won the All-Star MVP award, scoring 32 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. Paul Lee is like fine wine - as he ages, he gets better - so I'm hoping that this trend will continue in the current PBA conference.
584  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 12, 2023, 11:43:00 AM
Congratulations @danherbias07! You made some great choices with your bets, and you won all of them. I would have made the same choices, but I have a limited number of bets that I can make. I focused more on the Warriors bet because I knew they really needed a win, so they would play hard to beat the Bucks. It wasn't an easy game since it went to overtime, but I'm happy that my bet won.
585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need help - How to do signeture camping .. on: March 11, 2023, 09:52:08 PM
How can we help? What you asked you already found the answer. You say the free Campaign has helped to use the Signature code on your profile, that's very good.
Then start looking for Paid Campaigns in Bounties (Altcoins) that accept Jr. Member, because most Bitcoin paid Signature Campaigns only accept rank Full member +.
I don’t think participating in paid signature campaigns will help you as you seem to have no idea on how to be a good contributor in the campaign. Learn first and expand your knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency before you consider earning an income from it. I know once you gained real understanding about crypto, you will know eventually how to work in a campaign and become an asset in it.
586  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you interpret the fluctuation of Bitcoin price ? on: March 11, 2023, 09:30:36 PM

Bitcoin price has dropped below $20k from the recent high of $25k in mid February. Personally I have no problem with this fluctuation because compared to altcoins and taking the bear market into consideration, Bitcoin is still reliable and the volatility is pretty reasonable. For new potential investors, is this still a good time to invest in Bitcoin ? What do you think of the recent drop of Bitcoin price ? Please share your views.
Bitcoin price fluctuations is already part of a highly volatile market as you won’t expect for bitcoin to keep on surging high without even dumping its price at some point. So it’s never a new thing for us. But for beginners, I can see that this will be a threat for them and believe that bitcoin is not a potential investment. However, for smart investors on the other hand, this will bring them another opportunity to invest while the market opens a good entry.
587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 11, 2023, 01:10:17 PM
He may have slowed down a bit but as we get older we have more power, his experience will also be a big advantage for him here. It's just the stamina that I think will be the issue here. If Santiago will try to wear him down first then it will depend on how well he will control the ring. Jabs will be really helpful as his long reach has the advantage at 174 cm against 166 cm of Santiago.

True, he may have slowed down, but I don't mind. He isn't fighting Inoue, so he doesn't need lots of quickness. He will be fighting Santiago, who is not even a popular boxer, so I guess Donaire should have the edge in every angle. If we talk about him being old, that's another story, as we need to see if he performs like an old boxer in this coming match.

Donaire has the length and with great timing, that could be his biggest advantage.

We are biased sometimes, and since Donaire is from our country, we should support him. What we can do is bet on him. I'll be happy to bet a decent amount on this fight, as long as Donaire isn't a heavy favorite. I'm still concerned about the odds, but I'm confident that Donaire will become a champion again.
588  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: March 11, 2023, 12:16:07 PM
Boy, what an incredible tale! This really demonstrates how gambling can be a completely unpredictable realm filled with chances and advantages. Who could have predicted that someone would wager 1 million USD on such poor odds and lose? But as they say, you can't always win. And this fellow definitely suffered a massive defeat. Nevertheless, it's not all bad. At least he made an effort, right? Perhaps he'll devise a more effective plan next time, or maybe he'll just play the machines.
1 million USD is a very large amount when used for betting, but with that amount, if you manage to get a win, you can imagine how much profit you can get.
I believe not an ordinary gambler or gambler without experience who dares to take risks by betting such large amounts and make sure he is a gambler with more wealth so that whatever risk he will receive when betting he can accept it even if he has to lose the money.
In gambling and betting, there will definitely always be wins and losses, especially in sports betting, there are bound to be many unreasonable final results or manipulation because in every match, if there is a large amount of betting money in it, it's no wonder that action takes place. the.
So that anyone who bets on a match must always be careful and not make the wrong move in determining what is at stake.
Definitely, a gambler who would bet such a large amount of money is not new to betting, and he can certainly afford to risk that million. The thing is, when you bet on 1.01 odds, that gives you a very high percentage of winning, and you're like the house that has the edge. However, that doesn't mean you have no chance of losing; in this case, the bettor is just unlucky.
589  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is kyc verification dangerous? on: March 10, 2023, 09:59:09 PM
Is this true that kyc verification can put your funds and personal data at risk? Should we stop using any app that ask for kyc verification?

Services like casinos and exchanges need KYC to avoid money laundering and isn't an option for them to have it or not, is a must for them to operate in a legal way, business without KYC is kind of illegal.

And that's right, our data is at risk because if the exchange gets hacked then the bad guys can access all the credentials submitted by the users on the KYC process... And this is why some casinos and exchanges use a 3rd party for the KYC process.
Centralized exchanges have to abide with the rules made by the government and KYC should always be implemented legally. Though it’s quite risky to submit your personal details on an exchange or service, but if you want to use their service, then you have to provide it for them. However, if you think that providing KYC will become a threat for you in the future, you can always chose not to pass KYC and just settle with illegal means, which I think is more risky and more dangerous to deal with.
590  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Before you buy your first bitcoin take note on: March 10, 2023, 09:31:03 PM
Thats a necessary thing to do before buy anything on the market. There are some who just bought without even thinking whats it use and the project about. Bitcoin is an exciting project and learning it before purchasing is a wise move for everyone who wanted to purchase theit very first coin. Read the bitcoin whitepaper and they will knew the whole system it encompasses. Knowledge is a power that we can use to gain profits if we analyze it well.
You can’t just buy something without knowing how it will work and how it will be beneficial for us, that’s why you should invest into your knowledge first before you invest into a real market investment. That way, you will be guided on the do’s and don’ts when buying bitcoin, and that you will only invest at your own risk. Bitcoin is a great investment, but it will never be great and profitable if you invest on it the wrong way.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wrong Bets !!! on: March 10, 2023, 08:10:53 PM
this often happens to me, maybe my mistake was also playing when I was sleepy so I didn't focus on playing but forced myself to play, in the end I misplaced the additional 0 so I had to lose 0.01 BTC at that time, lol
but behind it all, it made me learn that never play a casino when my eyes are tired or sleepy, at least play with full awareness so that no mistakes occur. hopefully you get a replacement soon.  Wink
That the disadvantage if you insist to play even if you know you are not 100% focused on your game. Expect that you will lose in the end and wishing you hadn’t play at all. There are also instances that happened to me before when I insist to bet while I was busy doing something. In the end, I lose the bet, not because it’s a wrong bet, but more likely it’s a random bet without making my analysis first.
592  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: March 10, 2023, 07:53:48 PM
It's not trying to kill the living, it's to keep the poor and middle class alive but as close to desperation as possible.

Been struggling with inflation here where I am, already, but at least it's still doable. As in, if it used to cost let's say 10% of monthly wage for a week's groceries (and that's almost luxurious), price doubling is 20%, but cutting down on luxury I can already minimise it to 15% of monthly. That's about 60% just on groceries, but I support a big family so it's actually all right.

Back home, for most of my family, it's far worse. Already living on minimum means, price doubling means people already are out of means.

Meanwhile, companies are posting more profits. I'm not saying Bitcoin's the sole solution, but it's a pretty good start.

I guess everyone that is kicking alive surely experience the heat of inflation, though some had live it worst. However, on my country, there’s always this rising inflation but I’m just thankful that I was able to manage the risk and still live on my own comfort. That’s the benefit if we can always increase our income despite of the negative economy. And certainly, bitcoin is a good start. If you don’t find it as a reputable investment, then there’s always job opportunities brought by bitcoin, it’s up to you how you will conquer it.
593  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: March 10, 2023, 03:53:41 AM
Since strategy are always changing in trading, what is the relevance of experience? Who would you trust the most for trading tips,
An old trader who has had better days and mostly still relevant because they have a strong reputation for the fact that he has been trading for a while, or would you trust a new trader who is hot in the market and fresh with new strategies?
Dont trust anyone since you are risking your own money which means that you should really be the one who do make out decisions basing up into your position.Dont let others would really do the job since we

are all speculators here on this unpredictable and volatile market.I have that bad experience on letting someone do make out decision on following up their signals but out of 10 trades then it turns out that

it was really ending up on cutting losses due to bad positioning. This is why in the end i have learned my lesson and never ever tend to trust up for whatever person do
claim out that they do have that high winning or profitable trades.
Well, it’s not bad at all if you ask for assistance from experienced traders but if you are used to it, you will never develop your own skills and strategies in trading and that you will never grow as a trader. Furthermore, when they start leaving you, then you might end up suffering the consequences of not learning trading on your own. That is the reason why most traders never trust anyone, but prefer to trade on their own because that’s the only way that they will become great traders in the future.
594  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin- Beginners fear for exploration on: March 09, 2023, 09:47:17 PM
I have a friend who speaks so much about how good he's life has become ever since he explored the world of BTC and other crypto currency. I also have the desire to get the benefits of Bitcoin and other crypto currency. but as a newbie, I still have this fear that I may not be able to withstand the risk involved. Can anyone advice me on this?
You cannot see changes in your life if you stay living in your comfort zone. Take some risk too so you will develop challenges in your life that will give you more motivation to succeed. And you can only do that if you start being knowledgeable in the crypto market at first. By knowing a lot about bitcoin and other potential cryptocurrencies, you will be aware of their risks so you start learning on how to manage the risks by then. Little by little, you will understand how crypto investment works and when you fully grasp its whole idea, then you can start taking some calculated risk and invest in crypto. But take them as long term investments because that’s the best way you can earn from them.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel selling your BTC against your plans? on: March 09, 2023, 08:56:47 PM
I didn't have that experience, but I'm sure it may happen at some point, I'm just doing my best not to do that. But I think it's not as bad and devastating as some might say, it's just money. No one will die if I do that.
it is not about dying if you sell your bitcoin but some dreams might die to become rich  Grin

how many of us are trying to keep our bitcoin on hold and selling those for something we don't really want is a frustrating feeling.
and you can say that for now because it seems that you are not a holder or not investing big , nor don't have experience from the past halving bullrun.
once you have those? your views will change for real.
Believe me, if you are a holder of huge amount of bitcoin, you just prefer to hold it long until you see good price to sell, rather than sell it unplanned just because someone is in badly needed for money. I really understand what OP is trying to say, but always remember that there are limits to everything. If bitcoin could mean the only way to save a man’s life out from danger, or from a very worst situation, then forget about profiting, saving life is more important than seeing yourself still in profit but you fail to help people in need. So there’s no reason to regret for long, you just have to do DCA again so you can regain your bitcoin amount in your portfolio. No if’s and but’s.
596  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal for our kids to learn trade? on: March 09, 2023, 07:47:43 PM
I want to know if it right for children that are of 10-15years go in to trade or not because I have a kid friend of about 14years and very eager to learn trading but am scared of the lost and how long it will take him to understand what his doing, because it hasn't been very easy for me. So what your opinion please I need help? because I think is too risky for them to go in to trade for now.
Trading is certainly hard and risky especially to those people who have no prior knowledge and experience in trading, most particularly for kids who have no own source of income and are clearly still immature when handling  losing and profiting made in trading. That’s why never let your kid’s friend do trading these days as it will only make him penny lost. But learn to guide him in his trading learning and develop his skills in trading so that he will be a significant trader in the future, as soon as he will be earning his own income and his mind will be mature enough.
597  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: March 06, 2023, 09:48:40 PM
Fight is officially declared to happen May 7 in Japan, at Yokohama Arena. In this is Inoue's home town to expect that the arena will sell off, 17,000 sits are available so it's almost the same as MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

The reason why promoters choose Japan as the venue. Aside from it can generate the same revenue when it is held in the other big venue instead outside Japan, Naoya Inoue, being super popular in Japan will boost the market sales.

Imagine, just in Japan alone, the expected revenue is really big and what's more, if they will count PPVs outside the country.

I hope others who questioned the venue will have their mind clear about why Inoue is fighting in Japan mostly on his career. It's not that he doesn't want to stay out of his comfort zone but business side, he's really a cash cow by the Top Rank in Japan. Establishing and building a legacy while taking advantage of the business side.

Exactly, any fight that includes Naoya Inoue will become an instant hit especially if the fight will take place in Japan as Inoue can attract a lot of audience in their country alone, what more for the other people from other parts of the world who would like to see this fight too. I mean, it's not that too difficult to think why Bob Arum is holding the fight in Japan because they can sell it more and will have more profits than holding the fight somewhere in America.
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 06, 2023, 09:36:35 PM
Did anyone here also watch the last Lakers vs GSW game?

I confess that I was surprised with the performance of the Lakers, AD as expected carried the team on his back, and that was clear, he scored 39 points!

Well, incredible as it may seem, even though the Warriors played with their full team (Curry + Thompson + Green), they lost to the Lakers.

I know this result is not expected, but I believe that, even though the Lakers have these problems in a general way, they can be a dangerous team, especially if LJ is there to guide them to victory!

That was quite surprising given that the Warriors manage to have a  4-0 run without Curry on the line but now that he is already back, that's where they got their win streak finished. Although, I didn't bet on that game but having that specific outcome was really unexpected even if the game was held at the Lakers homecourt. That doesn't change the fact that the Warriors is now complete and healthy, but it wasn't the case when they played with the Lakers.

Anyway, good for the Lakers because they needed that win so that they won't get buried at the current standing. They still got a chance but they need to thrive for it.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 06, 2023, 09:22:19 PM
We will see what will be the outcome of this upcoming fight. If Thurman will make an upset probably, it will favor him
a lot in terms of his career and future money fight to come.

Even though I don't see Keith Thurman winning against Spence, I'm looking forward to him winning this match because of these reasons:

- to put Spence in an embarrassing situation where he keeps ducking Crawford but in the end, will just lose to post-prime Keith Thurman
- to make Spence stay at 148 and not push forwarding to 154
- to somehow devalued Spence's worth and value as losing to Thurman in this fight will make Spence's camp not able to demand a higher purse split if they will face Crawford in the future even if he's a PPV King and currently holds 3 titles at 148.

Hopefully, Keith Thurman can pull an upset against the heavy favorite, Errol Spence.

And of course, to make him wake up to the reality where it's not right bringing the fight at 154 when in-fact the fight was originally ordered at 147 because that is where his belts are located. He was just having the easier way just because Al Haymon somehow got a good connection with the governing bodies that is why they are taking advantage of it.

Besides, I really don't believe that Keith Thurman is already on his limit just like what we saw on his last fight.
600  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 05, 2023, 04:54:39 PM
Such progress in just one year is impressive, and it should be noted that it has been possible not only thanks to the efforts of the players but also the efforts of Mike Brown, who has been recently named the Western Conference Coach of the Month.

Actually, that's not a 1-year progress in the making for Sacramento Kings. The progress overall takes place over a decade. Smiley

The last time the Sacramento Kings established a winning percentage of over .500 is way back 2005-06 season and that's also the last time they make it to the playoffs. Just do the Math on how long they are not making the playoffs from 2006-07 until now. Although this season, that will be changed.

Sacramento Kings will surely be able to break the curse now and their home crowd will witness again the NBA playoffs.

They surely earned it and they had a fantastic run since the season started. Now, the Kings is just a game shy behind the Grizzlies, so it's really not that impossible to take the Grizz's place and do a swap on their current seat because the Grizzlies will surely have a lot of troubles in their next game as Ja Morant will be away for at least 2 games because of the issue he made on his live and then that certain issue where he beat up a kid.
