581  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: License: is it a guarantee? on: December 27, 2023, 10:53:22 PM
Almost every gamblers notably those that make use of online Casino's for their gambling have the notion that except from a license owned casino they don't use any  casino without a license, which I think is a cautious thing to do.

But have been wondering and wanting to ask, does a license guarantees that a casino won't scam it's customer's going forward.
IMHO, it's like the first step to see that the casino is serious with their business. Acquiring some licenses can be easy or not, as long as they do the initiative then you can put a check on your very first factor.

But that doesn't mean that it should be your sole basis whether they're a scam or not. It is a process that you'll have to check other factors depending on how you determine whether they're good or bad.

Typically, many gamblers look at it as something that makes them comfortable at their first glance. But that's just them and you can have additional factors or more of it to decide to trust them or not.
582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana (SOL) Where will it end? $80 21th DEC 23 on: December 27, 2023, 09:49:14 PM
Just a few days of discussions and it's already surpassed $100. Earlier, we've got some correction and still, it remained to that price of $100.

People who bought SOL at $40 are now considered lucky. Those who are late to the party, have no choice but to buy at current prices and stake with the hopes of turning a profit in the long run. I would imagine Solana getting its own spot ETF soon. Endless profits awaits for those who hold the coin for a long time. As long as the project prioritizes security/reliability, nothing else matters. Just my opinion Smiley
At the beginning of this year, those are the people that are the luckiest. But the question is depending on how many they've bought by that time. If it's just a few pieces of it, then they won't feel the profits but like thousands of SOL, the profits is really felt by them.

I'm late on the party and yet, no ntention of buying at the current prices.
583  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips to avoid compulsive thoughts related to anxiety on: December 27, 2023, 05:56:47 PM
To me i don't think only gambling causes anxiety now these are possible things to cause anxiety within my little understanding; I can vividly remember that everyday situation can easily leads to anxiety, bad father, relative, or even bad mother /wife and husband or stress at office can triggers someone to be over anxious about the whole situations but what makes it worst is that of gambling. Whenever someone gambles or places  bet and s/he is hoping for outcome at this point such thing can trigger the anxiety in a person this same things also give rate to greed by constantly wanting to make a winning over the time.
I also agree with what you've said. It adds up to the situation when we've got other things to tackle in our daily lives. They're causing more stress and more anxiety and that's add more impact to someone who's dealing with it.

The painful part of it is that when you channeled your source of living to gambling and you think that is the only alternatives then such person must suffer anxiety due to over worriedness of what to eat, rent to pay and financial bills to pay at hands makes you feels very anxious just as they said " a hungry dog is an angry dog" there will be no difference between such to someone who is under pressure (anxiety). Any person who is under this can also be restored by gifting them money or help to pay parts of their bills. And most be closely monitored to limited from associating themselves in the gambling hall or site otherwise whenever they incur huge lost it would stir up again.
It happens and that's one reality that we think of. When we're doing other things for a living and then we stopped because we've been thinking that there must be another way to earn and that's through gambling.

These emotional problems are hard to deal with when you are not prepared or when you're too attached to it. That's one reason why many people are dealing with depression.

It is a serious matter and hard to deal with when you have no one on your back to talk to and help you deal with this whether you're a gambler or not.
584  Economy / Economics / Re: The power of investment choices on: December 27, 2023, 11:10:36 AM
If you want to invest in cyptocurrency then I would say you should invest in Bitcoin because there are so many Alta Coins out there besides Bitcoin that are totally unpredictable investing you must take risk if you don't take Yogi you can't recruit. If you can invest in bitcoins for a few years then you will definitely be profitable. And never forget one thing, where there is profit, there is definitely a possibility of loss, you have to invest keeping in mind that.
This is the market where people win and lose.

If you're not used to it, you'd definitely going to experience losses and that's fine because it's part of investing. And for you to grow, you'll have to deal with that hardship and losses because it is an essential of the market.

A good choice when you invest is you're able to have that freedom to choose what you think suits your risk taking. So, if you're that type of investor that likes to see other investments, you also need to be careful with it.
585  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin - Contentment / Addiction on: December 26, 2023, 11:49:02 PM
I think that it can be an addiction if it's not giving you the benefit and it's just doing bad things to you. If accumulating Bitcoin is giving you the addictive vibes but you know that there's a good reward someday, I wouldn't call it addiction.

I guess this is more than just a hobby and although there's similarity on gambling. This time, it's no longer a gamble that when you accumulate more Bitcoins and you get more engaged on it.

On the early days, it's more of a gamble when there's no certain result will happen and the rewards were unknown.

I want to know if their is any point at which a person can say I have reach and get contented in owning Bitcoin? A point where the person lacks Contentment and keep on pressing to acquire more Bitcoin is It said as being addicted?
Just set a target like how many Bitcoins you want to achieve and collect.
586  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips to avoid compulsive thoughts related to anxiety on: December 26, 2023, 10:10:22 PM
I think the best part to the OP with regards to what’s been discussed is summed in this phrase
First step with dealing with anxiety is to recognize it.
It's always the first step that everyone needs to recognize. Addiction, being compulsive and any other bad habits that we have, we need to recognize that we have it.

Because if we're still in denial, we're not going to deal with it as a problem that must be solved.

587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MATIC or DOT? on: December 26, 2023, 08:51:49 PM
I haven't used DOT so I can't say anthing with it. But with looking for alternative transfers, I've used matic many times and it didn't disappoint me. With this time when Bitcoin transfers are costly, matic is part of my list for alternative transfers that I'll choose if ever I need to.

About it being an investment?

I don't know what to say as well and I can only speak for my experience with it through its use case and that's an approved thing for me.

Hello,
Thank you so much for your reply.
Does MATIC have the potential to become something like DOT or Solana? I mean in terms of price.
The decision to pick up Matic is a better one now than to pick up Solana and even though you might appear late, you cannot tell it's over for Solana.
Picking solana as a choice now is not preferred by many because of how high it is right now. Going on with it is like you've chosen the wrong pick whether it's still possible to move higher prior to the bull run.

It is possible that Matic will run late in the market and outperform Solana in terms of return on investment. The ability to predict who will outperform is difficult, especially since they have used cases, active communities, and active developers.
Yeah that can happen but as you've said, it's hard to predict which will comes next. And for that reason, if you have some projects on your mind and willing to invest.

It's your time to do your thing and research before any pumps happen so you won't be left by the skyrocketing soon. With this, choose wisely and remember the reminder of everyone, DYOR.

I'm interested to know. How much have you guys made arbitrage betting? Or do you guys only straight bet?
I just do straight betting.

In actuality, how much you've been making with arbitrage betting? I don't have that much preference in terms of arbitrage because I just don't find it well for me.

But if this is working perfectly for you, I'm guessing that you're making a lot of money from doing it. Isn't it?
589  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin HODL: what happens to Bitcoin holders during impressive price increase? on: December 26, 2023, 05:53:35 PM
Question: With the coming of these two major events, assuming the price of Bitcoin turns out to be very impressive and massively different from today's current price, will the majority of Bitcoin holders keep(continue) holding?, or might price temptation just result in them selling to make a profit?.

Thanks for your time.
It is no doubt that many are going to sell and will just leave the market and they're good for having a great run on this market. Are you just gathering some opinion whether you'll do the same or not?

Do what makes you satisfied on this market. If you've made such decent gains, don't forget to take profits whether you'll buy back again or not then just don't forget about yourself and your main goal for investing.

And that's all about making a profit and you can always buy back and get back on this market but you'll never know if the price is gonna be higher by that time.
590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Share your Bitcoin spendings here on: December 25, 2023, 11:59:06 PM
Someone can say that he/she have purchased some nice cars using Bitcoin as profit of holding and some will say a decent house that they can live forever.

With this, anyone can freely say what they want to say or wish to buy with their Bitcoins. But I don't think that many will cooperate and tell the things that they've purchased using Bitcoin or with their Bitcoin profits.

Anyway, I think that many have the same genuine spending with the use of Bitcoin or profits from it through gadgets. Especially this season, probably have gifted themselves as well with some new laptops, macs, iphones, smartphones or computers.
591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: December 25, 2023, 10:52:17 PM
If you are new to something, it's normal that you'll experience bad things and more of losses and that's fine. Just think of it that you're there for the experience and by the next time you'll play the same game, you know how it works and you're no longer ignorant about it.

Don't worry, you're not the only gambler that experienced this. Many of us did but we just don't tell it to the public because we're shy of telling our mistakes and that's a normal thing for most of us humans.

If you play luck based games, see to it that you'll have a roller coaster ride and you'll not get the results that you're optimistic with.

I don't think so if we're going to compare it with their prices because looking at the supply of Matic, it has got a lot of billions but it's close to $1.

I'd safely say that it might not get close to what solana has reached but possible with what DOT has reached which is currently $9.

And for matic's price now of $0.9 all it takes is a 10x of gain. Well, that's just my opinion and I don't consider that as a financial advise that you might follow.
593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should security be employed in local bet shop? on: December 25, 2023, 08:35:24 PM
For those persons who prefer gambling in local bet shops instead of gambling online. I know that most times some persons carry huge sums of money to come to gamble and I understand that if it was a local casino there would be securities. Now, in the local bet shop, why are there no securities? I know a local bet shop close to where I reside. There are no securities there and there are people who act strange and mentally unstable there. They could cause fights, noise, and cheat. So for other persons to feel safe betting there I think securities should be employed there.
I don't know about that local betting shop there near you but here in my area, even the smallest one that has a store and have closed doors, they have securities on duty.

Except on the stalls that can be found on some places near where they're located, they don't have securities as well. With stall I mean, like they are literally a stall and people just go there and bet on the lottery.

But this business should be required to have securities especially in the places where their operations are quite often.

595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person more addicted on: December 24, 2023, 06:48:36 PM
I have been wondering with a little doubt in me between Physical and Online Gambling which makes a person prone to being addicted cause I have this friend of mine who doesn't know how to gamble online but when it comes to physical gambling he does it without compromising any of the consequences before hands.

Now it has made every little discussion that leads to argument an avenue to gamble, always ready to stake huge amount just to prove himself right. I consider this being addiction and I am always advising him to drop this lifestyle.

Do you think Online Gambling has the worst potential of making a person addicted?
Let us take it that way, your friend is addicted when it comes to physical gambling and there are random gamblers over the internet that are also addicted to online gambling.

Thus, gambling physically or online have both impact of making the gambler addicted if they cannot control themselves. And about the worst potential? It's up to how engaged the gambler is in both of their worlds.

So that's the conclusion, whether you gamble either of it, you are prone to being addicted no matter what you prefer.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: December 24, 2023, 04:37:27 PM
I decided to create this topic as a tip to fellow gambler that wants to have a slightly increase chance to win on gambling.

Fella should know when to ride when you are on a win streak. You can test the water first by betting slowly until you get the tempo of winning streak then slowly increase your bet while you are still winning. Stop immediately when you encounter a lose or two because there’s a high chance that you will be tilted and chase loss until you lose everything.

Don’t increase your bet when you are losing because it will just amplify your loss immediately once you are in bad streak. Always test the water before you increase your bet.  Wink

Sharing my recent juicy win using small bankroll below! At first I’m hesitant to ride but it takes courage to increase bet slowly especially if you have small bankroll.
Many gamblers are approaching it differently when we're losing and that's to increase their bets next because that seems to be the best approach at all.

It's like martingale for some but the reality is that they're just triggered and think that it's the easiest thing to do just because they've been losing. But that strategy won't work in the long run and that's why you just have to do what you have to do.

And that is to stop and forget the day and move on.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin portfolio on: December 24, 2023, 09:35:22 AM
Avax was also a great performer for this year. It may not be as much as SOL but if we're going to look at its gains, it's almost half of what SOL did gained.

Started from $11 this start of the year and ending in $48 so, that's around 4 times of gain and likely a smooth transaction. May not be 10x of gain but it's going there I guess.

I do feel you should again buy Solana as it will be pumping
It's scary to get into SOL because it's likely that you'll catch the falling knives.
598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do Owners of betting companies bet? on: December 23, 2023, 11:34:56 PM
The casino owners are mostly bettors. They have virtually unlimited credit, can write off debts if necessary, know the strengths and weaknesses of the various games of their casino, and the croupier will do everything possible to win the owner (who wants to be fired?).
They have a lot of money but I won't say that they're unlimited but to the point that it seems unlimited because of how huge they are. But it's true that they're also once a gambler and we don't know how often they still gamble nowadays.

Because if they're now a businessmen a running a casino, it's possible that while they run the casino, they're also making some short bets of course in support of their business.

And as a hobby and wherever they've been with before, they're doing their own thing as well such as private bets.
599  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: December 23, 2023, 10:14:23 PM
I came across on YouTube where a gambling casino social influencer was streaming about a casinos platform.
He literally brought out his phone and was illustrating to the audiences that it is just few steps to take the winning on your games which is making choice of your predictions, choose amount to bet and also indicate his hashtag referral code and click on confirm.
Immediately you get credited directly to your account that just you won.
I just smiled but I want to ask, how many of you guys develops interests on a particular casino platform due to the influence of the casinos streamers?
Not me. But I am interested on the streamers and if it's about my decision to gamble or not, they're not influencing me with that.

I'm interested on them when I see them very attracted of course with the opposite sex that are doing some streams like related to gamble. Other than that, it is my personal decision whether to gamble with the casinos that they're advertising.

Because I know that they're affiliated and sponsored by that casino so it is an obvious thing that they want their audience directed to that casino.
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another year is going to end. Bitcoin isn't dead on: December 23, 2023, 05:15:57 PM
It will never die because there is a massive awareness globally about digital encrypted algorithm. growth, civilisation, and modernisation should be the core value.
And the point is that many are still calling it as it is dead. But as you've said, it will never die and one fact about Bitcoin is that it is here to stay.

Regardless of all the pressure from these people and even regulations that's giving people the bad and negative vibes, still, that's not going to make it go away.

We will just going to keep on seeing the strength of Bitcoin each year that passes by. Whether it is a bear or bull market, we'll see how strong it is and won't be dead as easy as they think.
