581  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Binance na hack! on: May 08, 2019, 08:56:05 AM

583  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Expect more poster in Pilipinas Local board! - Welcome home! on: May 07, 2019, 12:38:26 PM

585  Economy / Economics / Re: Know Your Customer on: May 06, 2019, 02:05:07 PM
KYC is done by most projects to comply to the government regulations. The projects are sometimes held accountable for transactions hence must be able to provide the identities of the individuals behind these transactions in order to avoid the issue of money laundering. KYC is also for verification purposes by the project in order to eliminate bot and double entries from participants.
I am more sure that KYC is for honest people that they are real people who are not people who abuse a project, I am rather annoyed to people who cheat with KYC using someone else's identity because KYC must also be detailed but must be accompanied by rewards comparable  In my opinion, KYC is a double-edged sword can be profitable and can harm many people

I like your metaphor regarding KYC, it is a double edged sword which is true, if the team behind the project are also on the straight path paying people and give what they deserve they can earn from it but once the team are using those KYC to make money people is at risk.
586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: CENTRA CTR SCAM - Founders Arrested on: May 06, 2019, 01:45:22 PM
Finally, vindication has come for members of this community who stuck by their guns and called out CTR for what it was; a scam.

Also, never trust celebrity endorsement: https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2018-53

CTR tokens are now in freefall: http://www.coinfox.info/news/9186-centra-founders-arrested-in-us-token-dips-by-60

I haven't followed the CENTRA case for a long time
I think the CTR has ended since the first time it was declared a scam by sec.
and this news may not be new. but there is education here that we can take as experience and learning
that ico that involves artists does not rule out the possibility of becoming a scammer

The news was clearly not new, it's over 1 year old news and centra tokens is not anymore trading in major exchange.
We can only find centra tokens in ED or maybe other decentralize exchange but it still has a value since you can swap it with phantom coins or XPH.
I'm holding this coin but hasn't and completely swapped it.

Although the news was a year ago it is still nice to know that the SEC are working to hold someone who is responsible for the loss of the people's capital, still hoping that they can make it most of the time because ICO scams are wide spread nowadays.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 alternative coins to invest now for 2020 on: May 06, 2019, 01:16:43 PM
I already have enough bitcoin but I want to expend my asset holdings into Altcoin. Now I'm a newbie and have no experience but that doesn't mean i will jump right into buying your suggested coins. I will do more research but I need guidance on the coins to look into that's why I started this thread. I'm interested in privacy, gambling and currency coins

I'll be spending more time on the alternative board now, hope I'm welcome.

you should think twice, some are wanted to sell their alts for the sake of bitcoin because they want to hold it and have it rather than holding alts because the potential of alts is much higher rather than

589  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to recover when you are down 90% of your portfolio? on: May 06, 2019, 12:55:16 PM
Hey guys, my friends and I were down 90% of our crypto portfolio. We bought at the highs and we bought shitcoins. Now we are still down significantly and i just want to ask if you guys have strategy to recover from this? Cheers!

I will be hard for someone to recover from that loss, I think you should patiently do trading because it will really took time for you to recover your loss specially if you had a small capital, one thing you can do is to gamble it but it is risky, you might lose your 100% to it.
590  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: (Babala) Wag basta2x maniniwala sa Screenshot on: May 05, 2019, 12:37:55 PM
591  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Kumikita parin ba kayo sa bounty campaigns? on: May 05, 2019, 11:55:16 AM

592  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: May 05, 2019, 05:15:19 AM
ingat kayo dyan na ban account namin without reason, hiningan pa kami documents para ma out yung money. mas maganda talga blockchain.com nalang
How come that your account on Coins.ph was banned? I think they shouldn't do that without any valid reason unless if you are trolling them just like asking them on their support with a nonsense thing.

593  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Planning to build minning rigs on: May 05, 2019, 04:36:03 AM

594  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Planning to build minning rigs on: May 05, 2019, 02:45:02 AM
Di lang sya maganda mag mining sa Manila especially since the electricity are expensive and if sa province naman medyo laging nawawalan ng kuryente. I think online lang makakabili ng mining rig of try to look sa gilmore, dun maraming computers and cpu’s ang binebenta at mura lang.

sa palagay ko bago mo mabawi yung pinuhunan mo sa mga rigs matagal ng panahon pa yan, kahit sa sabihin natin na makatipid ka ng kuryente its either mag solar panel ka which is mahal din o mag illegal connection ka plus mahal din ang rigs magkano lang mamimina mo so kelan mo mababawi yung ROI mo kung sakali.
595  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you buy with bitcoin? on: May 04, 2019, 12:05:32 PM
Here in my country there are few establishments who accepts crypto as payment method, you can also pay your basic utilities using bitcoin it is a good thing because there were lots of huge company that accepts bitcoin as mode of payment, it is a good start for crypto to be notice by other company.
596  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Plagiarism Indepth Discussion (Isang paalala) on: May 04, 2019, 09:46:19 AM
naalala ko lang before about sa plagiarism e may isang local member dto saatin at nanghihingi ng merit which is bawal in the first place, may mga nagsasabi kung paano makakaearn ng merit at sinasabi na quality post ang gawin, after non nakita ko sunod sunod yung post nya na at di biro yung mga post na masasabi mong quality nung sinearch ko kinopya nya lang sa mga natabunang thread at ipapaste, siguro may nagreport kaya pag tingin ko burado na lahat ng kinopya nya.
597  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Scams are a global issue on: May 04, 2019, 08:00:06 AM
Scams are happening in the crypto market, the more it's getting popular, the more scammers will exist.
This really calls for a big regulation, we cannot live a world like this, we like adoption but we will not get a real one because newbies
will have a high risk of entering their money since they are less educated.
What we can do now is just to educate ourselves, know the market situation and always be cautious on everything.

if there will be no regulations to be release then it will continuously evolving and those people behind will continue doing their illegal job, that is why it is cautious passing KYC because they might used our identity for their illegal works.
598  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Ano ang iyong nabili gamit ang iyong Crypto? on: May 03, 2019, 11:26:34 AM
Sobrang dami kong napundar sa tulong ni bitcoin at ito ay;

• Iphone x (buyed it 1year ago and smooth pa rin siya until now)

and many more pa....

As of now bitcoin, eth at IOST tokens ang hawak ko. Yung iost kinita ko siya last year sa sig campaign at umabot ng 23k ang weekly na value nya that time, bale 6500 iost tokens kasi ang weekly na sahod. Kaya still waiting sa time na worth it na sya para i sell.

600  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Planning to build minning rigs on: May 03, 2019, 11:11:35 AM
