581  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin go lower than 2k? on: December 14, 2018, 08:17:07 PM
https://www.coindesk.com/when-bitcoins-price-breaks-down-it-follows-a-pattern

Says that BTC might go down less than 2k is this possible and how fast will it go up?

I also saw that the ETF decision was postponed how long time do you guys think it will take for them to conclude a decision?
With the huge volatility in the market no movement can be discarded but it seems that for the time being the price of bitcoin will remain above 3000, we will need to see another sell off but this is getting harder as the weak hands and those that panic easily have left the market already and most of those that remain are people like us that are going to hold our coins no matter what and that are not interested to sell in the short term and lose our money that way.
582  Economy / Economics / Re: The mentality of an average wannabe investor on: December 12, 2018, 10:03:40 PM
The OP speaks the truth, most investors are losers, they do not get profits out of their investments and that happens mainly because they are always behind the events that happen in the market, if you want to be a winner you need to be ahead of the events, one easy example is that we know that in the future the price of bitcoin will skyrocket again, we do not know when that will happen but it will happen so the easiest thing that you can do now is to buy bitcoin and then wait until that happens and even that simple strategy is beyond most investors.
583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Cryotocurrency gives you excitement? on: December 12, 2018, 09:43:50 PM
everyday after i woke up the first thing i look is my folio, on how's my tokens/coin are doing. how about you guys, how cryptocurrency thrills you?

cryptocurrency:

bounties
campaigns
investments
folio
coins/tokens
trading
projects
etc...

What excites me about cryptocurrencies is the technology and the potential it has to change society as we know it, many things are going to be very different in the next decade if cryptocurrencies really become as successful as we expect them out to be, that is what I'm really looking forward to live in a world in which I have the choice of using a currency printed by the government or a cryptocurrency printed by the people.
584  Economy / Economics / Re: current situation of cryptocurrency for 2018 on: December 12, 2018, 05:27:56 PM
For some reason, we used to consider 2017 as a very successful year for Bitcoin. But if you recall October 2017, the situation with the course of Bitcoin looked no less sad than it is now. It rapidly fell, but already in December there was a colossal growth that agitated all market participants. So everything can be repeated, because Bitcoin has no limitations in time, or in the degree of growth or fall.

That should happen this year as well in my opinion. The reason is that people are spending more in festive season and this is why you will see all types of promotional offers being launched by different companies in this time of the year only.
You are right when you say that it could be repeated again, but what are the odds that is going to happen at the end of this year? And if you think about it the odds are not very good, the odds were great at the end of the previous year because we had several good news in a row that made people very positive about the development of bitcoin and its future but now there is nothing like that in the horizon and there is no indication of that happening soon.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum will jump higher to 400-500 USD after get 150 USD on: December 12, 2018, 05:12:36 PM
ethereum prices can be very expensive and can raise prices if there is good news, but now it seems very difficult to be able to increase prices because at this time the price of bitcoin collapsed and became the influence of the fall in the price of ethereum.
Even if the price of bitcoin did not went down I have strong suspicions that the price of ethereum will be down as well, and this is because people are not really investing in icos anymore they understand that most of those coins are nothing but scams and they are not going to get any benefit out of them, which is true, and since most of the demand of ethereum came from people wanting to invest in icos it is natural that the price will go down.
586  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do Not Trade By The News, Follow The Price Action on: December 12, 2018, 04:58:33 PM
It is easy to get stucked in this trap when you read a particular economic news and tell yourself that it seems likely to make the market go in a certain direction. Once you convinced yourself that what you expect to happen is basically you digging for your account. In the early years of trading, many traders were stuck in the trap of trading in news and focused too much on fundamental analysis.
Trying to find out what the market is going to act next after the major economic reports are published appears to be obvious and useful to a trader at the time. However, you may be surprised to learn that the trader focuses too much on news that is losing money as prices tend to move in the opposite direction from what the news reflects.

I totally agree. If you engage in intraday trading, no news will help in understanding the prices. All you need is a cool head and an understanding of technical analysis. News is needed for long-term coin storage.
Even if you wanted to include some fundamental analysis to your strategy of day trading it will be impossible for you to do so, day trading is not really for those that like to take their time when they are trading, day trading is a game of reflexes, you need to perform your strategy in a flawless way and you need to be able to execute it perfectly if you do not to that even if your strategy is profitable it is very likely that you are going to lose money.
587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hacking kills the cryptocurrency market on: December 07, 2018, 10:48:05 PM
Karma is real and every hacker will get what he deserves. The only thing we can do is to try to protect us by all possible methods. But the main rule is never to trust anybody and to keep your private key safe.
It is obvious that if hackers keep committing crimes eventually they are going to get involved with the wrong people and they are going to spend a significant amount of time in jail but regardless of the punishment they get it is unlikely that a person that losses his coins to hackers is going to recover them, this is why you need to invest a great deal of time and effort to try to secure your coins to the best of your ability because if you lose your coins you lose them forever.
588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO devs should fear bounty hunters!! on: December 07, 2018, 09:43:46 PM
Bounty hunters need to be united, we need to boycott fake ICO projects and fraudsters, but I don't know what to do! Whenever I think about these issues, I always feel helpless!
That is something that is very easy to say but it is almost impossible to achieve, you must understand that bounty hunters are also competitors, they want to get in the best bounty campaign they can and every spot that a bounty hunter takes is a spot that another person wants and that now is unable to get, scammers know this and they are capable of maintaining bounty hunters separated so they cannot pressure icos as a group.
589  Economy / Economics / Re: Some advices and references for a newbie? on: December 07, 2018, 05:50:01 PM
Hi everyone! I'm trying to research and study as much I can, but i have problems in finding good books/articles/whatever that explain the principles of economics and trading, very important if u want to learn about coins in general. I searched in the forum but i didn't find anything like that (but a lot of other useful articles)...so can you help me? I would really appreciate a "newbie tutorial for economics/trading" if it exist Smiley
Your best option is to read some books completely dedicated to that topic, the topics of economics and trading are very deep and cannot really be fully explained in a small tutorial, it is better for you that you begin to read almost everything that you can find about it, it is true that you have all the time in the world because the markets are always going to be here and you could always get profits out of them but I do not know how long the low prices that we are seeing will last and you could miss a chance to make profits.
590  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin price fall down? on: December 07, 2018, 05:40:01 PM
what do you think about it? my prediction is bitcoin price will be back to $1000/btc in next 5 months or less. since oil price was fall down now and trade war between US and china. give your opinion pls

Its really something that is hard to explain why the current downturn is really massive without any stoppage. For me, bitcoin price going back to $1000 is not something we should be envisaging at the moment although its going to be hard not to think of it but hope is the only thing we have in our hands and striving to make things better in our own little way.
I agree its not easy to explain why Bitcoin price is keep falling and also nobody knows when it price to rise again. So I think its better to wait for its comeback, and have patience all the time because sometimes it takes time before the price increase again. Also no one have idea if when its going to rise or to fall, so the best thing we can do is wait for it and keep believing to  Bitcoin.
I am not so sure that is the case, people are treating the current decrease in the price of cryptocurrencies as a great mystery, as something that no one knows why it is happening, but there have been several traders that have been predicting that the price was going to go down, they did not saw enough demand for the price of bitcoin to remain that high, and they were right the demand is very low and if there are not enough people wanting to buy bitcoin then the price needs to go down.
591  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survive on: December 07, 2018, 05:05:46 PM
In this bearish market, it’s difficult to make profits without thorough research
And almost every portfolio is negative

All I can tell is don’t dump out of fear
Survivor this period and join in packing the dips

Be greedy when others are fearful

This bearish market brings me a lot of negative thinking. As a bounty hunter, working hard day by day, month by month and the reward is so less. I think if the bearish market continuously happens, I think the investors will panic sell to cut loss and quit the cryptocurrency market.
That is the risk, if the market is really being manipulated by powerful individuals then they are taking a huge risk, it is true that what they are doing may make them a lot of money in the future, but the risk is that those that are losing a huge amount of money in the market decide to leave the market and never come back, and those that are watching what it's happening decide that despite the profits that they could get they will prefer to invest in a less volatile market.
592  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH: Deep crash before going to the moon? on: December 04, 2018, 07:46:08 PM
seeing the current eth price conditions make a lot of people worry ... but we all have to be optimistic that eth prices will definitely improve because now the price of bitcoin as the parent of all coins has also decreased in price ...
In some cases being optimistic can cause you to make mistakes especially in the circumstances in which the market is in, an optimistic person is probably thinking that a recovery is just around the corner but anyone that is looking at the market right now should know that it will probably take months if not years for it to recover and that means that those that are very optimistic about the recovery of the market could get desperate when they do not get the results they want and they could sell their coins because of it.
593  Economy / Economics / Re: What should I choose on: December 04, 2018, 07:42:22 PM
Invest your money at real business and never trying for invest your money at crypto right now, I never ask you to left crypto but right now is not good moment because more dump price at bitcoin and altcoin, keep your investment at real business.
There are many investors that could argue that this is a very good moment to invest in cryptocurrencies, I know this may seem to not be the case but it is true, if you want to obtain great profits during the nextax years you need to buy your coins when they are very cheap and if that is the case then this means that this is the perfect moment to buy your coins because it is very doubtful that you are going to be able to buy them for a cheaper price during the next years.
594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Scammer Can affect the ETH price. on: December 04, 2018, 06:01:43 PM
i think that's can affect market condition when scammer dumping Ethereum market for get big profit, especially when any some project with Scam Ending, i think the developer can dump the market whn they're sell the fund from crowdsale
I never noticed the price of ETH fell sharply while the rest of the coins grew. A ICO projects raise funds not only at ETH but also in other popular currencies. So, if a quick sale needs to fall in the price of all the coins. But in any case, it is necessary to fight fraud . You need to give them the collected funds strictly for the implementation of the road map and not on personal expenses.
But that is impossible, once you give your money to someone else you have no rights over that money, the developers can use that money as they want and it is going to be impossible for you to stop them, that is why you need to be very careful about the ico projects in which you choose to invest because if you are not then you're going to be in a situation in which you know the developers are going to waste money that should be used for the development of the project.
595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dont panic ! small marketcap = big profit after pumps. speculation ! on: December 04, 2018, 05:52:59 PM
Bitcoin at 20k usd was pure speculative price. Now the price is adjusting to fundamentals and not pure speculation. The volatility will dry down for good which in turn get more people to invest in bitcoin.
The price that we are seeing right now is also driven by pure speculation, this is not the price of bitcoin based on fundamentals if we use fundamentals to try to tell the price of bitcoin its price should be between 8000 and 10000 dollars and now we are seeing a price that cannot be justified, so for those that like to earn money this could be the opportunity they had been looking because the market of cryptocurrencies is surely going to recover.
596  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you gamble or think it's a waste of money and time? on: December 04, 2018, 05:42:39 PM
Seeing how the odds are pretty often against you in gambling as the gambling services are for making money out of you and not the reverse, do you still decide to gamble? If so, why?
There are many reasons to gamble one of the most common is that people like to get some fun, if you think that is a waste of time and money I can respect that but if you use that kind of logic then any moment that you choose to entertain yourself and in which you use money is a waste of money and time, so watching TV or playing video games is also a waste of time using that logic, but humans are not computers you need to have some moments to rest and to have fun so you can work harder.
597  Economy / Economics / Re: Apart from trading where else to use crypto? on: November 30, 2018, 10:09:18 PM
More than 90% of ICOs (still a wide margin) lack pure utility aside from trading values. Among freelancers, people may trade one crypto for another, but in a brick and mortar business scenario, crypto has little to no impact. For example if I walk into a store I could get the credit card and a few other payment options. Still, with the over abundance of crypto technologies and their native tokens, only a handful of stores have barcodes for bitcoin and a few other payment coin types.

I think we need more radical real world businesses tokenizing their products and using this 'tokenization' as a means to garner support for mainstream crypto adoption. Like rewarding people loyalties for using their products.

Does anyone else here share the same concerns, or do you know a coin that is owned by real businesses for such purposes?
That could be a way to increase the usage of cryptocurrencies but this will push the usage of cryptocurrencies in a very specific context and it seems to me that what we are looking for is for a few cryptocurrencies to be used all over the world in most stores because I find unlikely that the average person is going to want to hold many coins the way we do, in my country people only hold the local currency and at most US dollars and Euros and a similar approach should be tried with cryptocurrencies in which people only need 2 or 3 cryptos to pay for everything they want.
598  Economy / Economics / Re: Expert: Banks are Enthusiastic Towards Crypto, Waiting for Regulators to Invest on: November 30, 2018, 10:01:20 PM
They may be interested because they see the huge profits that they can make in a very short amount of time and as we know the sole purpose of banks to exist at all is to make money, and they do not care how they do it as long as they get huge profits, but at the same time they are very skeptical about the market of cryptocurrencies because they understand that if for some reason people begin to adopt cryptocurrencies and begin to use them to buy stuff instead of just speculating with them they could be in trouble.
Another point we are missing out, this news and these people who said they are enthusiastic towards crypto said so before all of this 10-11 days of bear marathon happened. Do they still think the same? I mean of course it is easy to love bitcoin which has been low for 10 months now and favoring it to go up and being excited about it. It is not as easy now that the price dropped significantly and has been doing crazy volatile stuff.

I am not too sure if banks are still feeling the same about bitcoin considering their amounts are (combined by all banks) can reach to tens of billions of dollars poured into this whereas our volume is only 2 billion. It is not smart to get into a market when you can destroy it when you want to get out. Banks will probably not take that chance. Will wait until the volume is higher.
That is definitely a good point banks whether we like it or not are still the most dominant force in the financial market and they have so much money at their disposal that many are always trying to find markets to invest in, but the market of cryptocurrencies while promising is still too small so even if some banks wanted to take a chance with it they cannot do it because if they did then they will represent a huge portion of the market and they could be eventually trapped if the market collapsed
599  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is dead many times! on: November 30, 2018, 09:56:07 PM
Bitcoin will end only if there are no more investors for it but they keep buying the coin even its price dropped to the lowest level recently. Bitcoin always proclaimed dead by some individuals everytime its price go down sharply but resurrected later when its price go up again. This indivjduals just want to spread FUDs or just still ignorant on how cryptocurrency works.
At the beginning when bitcoin was created no one was willing to invest in bitcoin but they invested their time and their effort and bitcoin prospered because of that so even if bitcoin lost all of its investors at some point, bitcoin will still survive the only difference is that it will be a lot smaller than what it is now and it is possible that it will never achieve its goal of becoming a coin used by a significant amount of the population, but not even that will be enough to make bitcoin disappear.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best cryptocurrency investment for year ahed on: November 30, 2018, 05:39:14 PM
I'm new in the crypto world and have some questions: Which cryptocurrency in your opinion has a big chances of growth in 2019-2020? What do you think about DeepOnion ?
You are going to get mixed opinions about deeponion, there are some that love it and they spread their love for deeponion for months in the forum but there are other members that hate it, personally I have not looked enough at that coin to form my own opinion but I will tell you this, learn to select the coins in which you are going to invest by yourself or soon enough you will regret following the advice of someone else and losing money because of it.
