Great derby tonight between Juve and Milan, it does not get much better than this in Serie A. I don't remember if Milan ever had a better chance of taking 3 points from Juve away. Still thinking this will probably end up with the draw but Juve is at its most vulnerable in last 5 years for sure.

My bet is on both to score for now and I will probably add x2 or 2 on Milan later on when line ups get available.

Unfortunately odds on Chelsea are utter shit @1.7, I expected something around 2.2 or at least above 2. This way it is a not bet for me, yes Chelsea is better but it is away game against good club. Those odds should be when playing against teams below 15th position on table. No value for me, skipping it for now and maybe playing later on live if some opportunity presents itself.

I am guessing they will try for some sort of loan deals where they find a club willing to take 50-70% of those high wages to make it easier on fiances while waiting for contracts to expire. With sort of player profile they currently have and wages, it almost feels like another Barca level financial crises brewing in United. They should start implementing whatever solutions available to ease money expenditure before it gets too late.

When I am betting on lower tier tournaments I rely on info from pages like tennis explorer. I check players recent form and especially his proficiency on that particular surface. Then I make bets if I can find value. For instances bookies are basing their odds almost exclusively on player's rank when it comes to players below ATP 200 and you can often find a player ranked 250 who lost all their matches in last 3 months playing against indoor specialist ranked 500. In those situations +5.5 handicap on that indoor specialist is almost free money and ML has lots of value as well. This is drastic example but you can find a couple of badly set odds in early rounds of every small tournaments.

Well I said here or in some other thread few times before, Arsenal has way too good squad to be in relegation battle. They will finish in top half of the table no matter their rocky start. It is unrealistic to expect Champions League positions, both Manchesters, Liverpool and Chelsea are in the league of their own this season, but they will fight for other European places with Leicester, Everton, Spurs and West Ham.

If you are doing a hedge bet, only "full insurance" makes sense in a way that you cover all possible results. I never insure for full amount, meaning if my original bet passes I'll get big winnings and if my hedge passes I'll just return the stakes or make minimal money. That being said if game starts as per my prediction and my hedge bet odds raise to respectable levels than I'll put more on it.

That is the problem with 50 people pool. There is always some guy who gets it right and makes it looks like it could have been done Hell we had an exact score on Brentford winning 2:0, how could that be guessed? At least nobody got it right for City and that is less of a surprise for me than 2:0 Brentford win.

Not many points for me as well, but more than most due to correct score in Liverpool game so I can't complain.

You can change your captain only between gameweeks, same time when you can make subs or transfers. Captain choice is maybe most important decision you will make any gameweek since that player points are doubled. Just to show you how big difference it can make:
Last week - my choice Antonio got red card and finished with -1 point, he was my captain which doubled the points so I got -2
This week - my choice Salah got 10 points and he will get another 2 bonus points, so double that and I get 24 just from him

Sterling for City and Son for Spurs are very easy to recognize, than I had to think a bit but I can say with some certainty that there are also Richarlison for Everton and Jimenez for Wolves. I want to say Kante for Chelsea but not so good graphic plus there were at least 5 better choices to pick from Chelsea. Arsenal guy looks familiar but I can't place him.

The bet will be considered a loss probably as per fantasy rules. Salah more than did his part this afternoon two more to go. The other 2 guys will play for sure and we shall see if they will have what it takes to breach that 7 point line. It is much tougher for strikers, one less point for goal and no points for clean sheet.

I would like to see some EPL Fantasy betting markets as well where we can choose our fantasy bets and put them on multi tickets. For instance default points spread for every player, it would be something like 7 for Salah, but 1 for the guy that almost never plays any minute, and so on...

I got Rapinha correct yesterday, but it went down the drain today. My Choice is Jimenez and Wolves are yet to make shot on target in 85th minute. My only hope is late penalty. Brentford with 10 men for some time now and Wolves still can't press them properly. I guess Nuno leaving hurt them bad, the team is same but results are not

That was my keeper strategy in all the past seasons. This year I just took Sanches and Foster, together 8.5M. I must say I am very happy with my decision. Don't know how it works for you but rotating 2 x 4.5 keepers often leaves me with more points on the bench. Save points and especially penalty save points have a way of screwing my choice. Just one game when keeper who plays against strong team and manages to keep clean sheet eats up all those good choices since that usually means a couple of save points plus 3 bonus points.

This year I was around 200k before last week and now around 500k, Antonio captain 

So we have another bust tonight as per new rules total of 15 is not enough for push. Really unlucky for this game, I have watched it whole and we could have had a couple of goals more and maybe even a couple of yellow cards more. Mike Dean was uncharacteristically shy to pull out yellows and Newcastle players missed some incredible chances. Great game altogether.

Another wrong result for me but at least it was a great game. Lots of chances on both ends of the pitch and I agree  we could have had 4 goals in this one easy. SM was great, he is super fast and always has some solution with the ball, rest of Newcastle attack was total rubbish so he was standing out even more. Rapihna was great for the Leeds but he had some small injury concerns before the game and lasted only 60 minutes, too bad since I feel like he would have assisted or scored another goal for sure.

I know this is not exactly gambling but since lots of these leagues are sponsored by bookies... I am a member of Sportsbet and Stake leagues this season and some of the private leagues are also paid to enter I guess it qualifys. I decided to make dedicated topic since there is some interest in the forum and then we are always writing in the wrong threads. Hopefully we will have a nice discussion here.

That is even worse, it means you have what 10.5M tied up in keepers? My pair costs 8.5M and I am sure we have about the same points from them. As I said it is more feasible to save on keepers and spend money somewhere else. There is always great value in cheap keepers.

Of course you must have full squad per fantasy rules. I just wanted to point out that your bench should not be expensive. Maybe something like 4M keeper, 5-6M rotation player, 4.5M player who will play 90 min every week, 4M bench fodder who will never play.


City players are great until schedule becomes congested and all of them end up on the bench. All three of your players played in CL during week. If this was end of the season I would take you on a bet that at least 2 of them will not play tomorrow. Since it is beginning of the season and players are still fresh maybe you are in still in luck.
I'll hazard a guess and say:
Cancelo not playing - Walker in, maybe Cancelo has a chance for LB but he is much better on right side
Diaz - should play
Grealish - 50/50 for me, started all the games will be rested soon

I have been playing fantasy for 5 or 6 seasons, read through many articles and watched numerous videos on topic. So here goes a couple of advices which serve me well.
1. Fantasy is all about staying in front of the curve. After player makes 20 points in one game it is too late to bring him in
2. Never take hits for transfers unless really justified
3. Plan your team for fixtures at least 5 games in future
4. Maximize your points per million, for instance tying up your money in keepers is bad. Much better to take budget keeper and invest that one million more in premium defender.
5. Midfielders get more points for goals and extra point for clean sheet, much better value than strikers to spend big
6. Have minimum 2 big hitters in your team for captaincy but no more then 3, too expensive
7. Avoid Pep roulette, house always wins

Pickford is wasted Everton spot for me, much better to take Digne who should have a lot of assists to his name and budget keeper.
Why Origi he is not playing? Take somebody cheap like Wilson who plays every match and gets involved in half of Newcastle goals. Not at the moment since he is injured but you get the point.
Lukaku is great but Ronaldo has better fixtures at the moment. Don't switch them though since fixture swing is coming shortly. I'll be taking Lukaku in 2 weeks if everything goes by plan.
You did not post your whole team, bench is also important. There should be one or two enablers there (4 M) and at least one good rotation player to cover up absences. I am thinking you don't have one since your first 11 is really expensive.
Rest of the team is ok, but I would never have 3 City players, Pep is most hated guy in fantasy circles for good reason.

I read the news in local Croatian news aggregator index, and then went on to google it and found some other english article, don't remember exactly which one.
