Yup, it's rare that payments seldom get processed beyond Mondays but it's understandable if the site owner has some payment delays.

Fortunately this sort of thing can't go on forever because of the limiting nature of merit decay as it keeps getting sent. So even if this member gets away with this, it's the exception rather than the rule. It's not a huge deal IMO.

In countries where there is no work or it is very poorly paid, this can be a very good source of income. Of course, spam does not require too much effort, but writing in English can also be an interesting form of language learning. I do not agree with it, but I do not claim that there are only bad sides.
Yup, I understand that there are legit posters in CT too. And also, getting paid to post on forums has its own appeal compared to other microjobs are more demanding yet pay peanuts. |

People stay there just because of the rewards, even they paid for the spam post as and it's definitely doesn't make sense the content in every topic had.
At least, CT knows now how it feels the forum that has a full of spam feast as what they did here in Bitcointalk before.
Truth to be told, I did have some interest to join but I lost a few brain cells in the process, and had to give it a pass  |

Personally, 50 merits can not change the destiny of one account. If one is unable to make a single good post, the one will consequently be unable to rank up without other abuse and they will fastly dry out of their airdropped sMerits.
That alts could actually participate in Bounty Campaigns though, if the OP put in some effort. Provided the CM isn't aware of that. |

I do not think that the decision to pay for posts from 101 was wrong or abuse.
It was when they start paying from lower number of posts that Cryptotalk was one big spam incubator.
It was easy to see how things would turn out by not implementing a threshold. Like you said, back when I browsed CT, most posts were at at least 100 chars. But with the current state, there's a better control over the spamfest. |

I think it's ancient but I find the normal forum intolerable on a phone. I use Opera on mobile which does a good job of rescaling the text to fit if you zoom in for the original forum format but it's still harder work than I can take. I can see why. You have to copy the contents, add the quote tags and reply. Truly a nightmare. But it's 2020 and we shouldn't even consider WAP2 anymore unless mobile data is super duper scarce. |
