5802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define a good exchange? on: February 21, 2020, 10:06:22 PM
When I join with a newly launched exchange, I notice the following:

Their Reputations on various crypto news portal and this forum.
Exchange Rate, it must have a good exchange rate, if I exchange 10 dollars with bitcoins having 6 dollars of worth, that won’t be an ideal exchange for the consumer.
Their payment methods, A good exchange must have different payment methods in place.
Verification, verification by using national ID card or passport can protect us from money laundering or fraudulent activities.
and fees, it's optional cause a good exchange may cut off a minimum fee for providing secured environment.

The definition of a good exchange is inherent in these
5803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forbes: "USA Is Worried About Bitcoin And It’s Finally Doing Something About It" on: February 21, 2020, 08:33:44 PM
I've read the whole article and still have no idea "what" exactly the US is planning to do about Bitcoin. So I guess there's nothing significant actually happening, and this is yet another case of smoke without fire. And people who think that Bitcoin or national stablecoin will undermine the US dollar don't understand economics - the US dollar is a dominant currency because the US' economy is huge. So either US economy has to crash, or its competitors have to grow to the same level in order to replace the dollar.

I think that many of the countries want to get rid of the American influence on the economy of the world. They might be afraid of the fact that bitcoins might replace dollars as the reserve currency of the world, which in reality has a chance of being the actual truth. But if most of the countries of the world start to support bitcoins, this prominent role of America won't last long.
5804  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2020 the year of Bitcoin technology getting accepted by governments on: February 21, 2020, 06:36:24 PM
Although the process of accepting cryptocurrencies is slower than we imagine, it is still a good news to all of us. Remember when it was first launched way back years ago, it was doubted by some industries and they immediately decline the idea of adapting in to it, but look at it now, it seems that all those advertisements and promotions bear fruit in the end. It would also be nice if it would slowly be accepted globally.

Every new technology doesn't get accepted at first. But when people start to realize its worth, gradually people start to get acquainted with it and the number of users start to rise. Like so, 2020 will be the year when more and more people will get access to bitcoins and more specifically - bitcoins and more governments are starting to realize its worth and are accepting bitcoins.
5805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's transaction fee lowered by 4000% on: February 21, 2020, 05:30:19 PM
demand for btc on the year 2017 is much bigger than compare to the demand today . i can prove that if you take a look at the price . price now is only at 10k max but prices back then are at 18 to 20k  usd  .  that is the reason why you see decline on the fees  but i agree that segwit and batching helps because people could be using it which means lesser traffic on the traditional sending of btc  . i know that if a network is congested , the fee are also becoming high because miners only prioritize bigger fees  ,
Yes, segwit is a reason, price has vastly dropped of bitcoin compared to what is was in the 2017 it is true that that reducing the fee of transactions will attract more user to use bitcoins and use it to transact money. I think the price dropped because of the increase of users when many countries attempt to banning BTC, but for the bitcoin lovers out there reducing the fee this much will be a good decision in favor of them.
5806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling a threat or fun? on: February 21, 2020, 04:46:02 AM
Although gambling is a fun but if you become addicted then it takes awful form. Specially, it's so deadly for young people, who go crazy when little things happen. Those who lose a match in gambling attempt to win the next match until he can win & thus, they become addicted. On the other hand, those who win a match they make a bigger bet in the face of happiness. Very few people have been able to quit gambling after being addicted. so, for the beginner should not gamble if you not matured enough.
5807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: February 20, 2020, 07:50:58 PM
Bitcoin has a self regulating blockchain and also very independent  from the modern financial system like banks
Bitcoin has no regulation guidelines, there are no limits on withdrawals and spending limits with generally lower transactions fees unlike the banking systems  a bitcoin transaction costs no more than 1% of its value. Compare that to 2% to 3% for most other digital payments
Blockchain in general and bitcoin specefically has no mediator it is completely decentralized so it cannot be controled by any government
Bitcoin also comes with an intense privacy protections and absolete anonymity...
But with all these advantages we have to mention that bitcoin has its drawbacks
For example there are security issues, risk of theft and fraud in addition to its volatitility which presents a huge risk.

Every transaction method has its own good and bad aspects. But I personally think that bitcoin might be a better version of a bank though it has its own drawback. The most prominent drawback would be the volatility of its price. So, to make the best out of it, people have to be cautious and aware of who they are making transactions with and to make investments based on its price. Although at the end of the day, having a bank to have your back is always relieving.
Bitcoin has just started its journey and is in its preliminary stages, people are needed to be made aware of this system to spread the knowledge of bitcoin and make the best use out of it. Though not many countries have legalized bitcoins, but on the other hand, many countries have started to recognize its worth and are setting up bitcoin ATM's and are inspiring people to do their transactions through bitcoins; which is a great news for the bitcoin users out there.
5808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: February 20, 2020, 06:35:29 PM
Tonight in the Manchester City vs West Ham match which was postponed yesterday because of the rush weather this time the match really won't be postponed anymore.

In this match Manchester City will win because against Westham which is quite low and will continue to add points to stay away from Leicester.

Btw ,, what about the UEFA sanctions given to mancity? it's useless now in second place if next season can't join UCL.
~snip~ Honestly at this point, I am not even sure if City would want to play properly.

Yes, on pen and paper, mancity are way ahead of west ham in this clash and they will be the favorite in the fixture to follow. I think the UEFA sanction will affect mancity severely. As they won’t be able to buy players for 2 seasons which might affect the team and the revenue they make and also some players might even leave the team as they won’t be able to play so.
5809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 20, 2020, 05:00:08 PM
I think that the PSL tournament going to held in Pakistan is going be a great tournament for the cricket fans to enjoy.

The PSL has already Started and it will be a wonderful event.  Smiley

Just Amazing, I've seen this ceremony on youtube but it would have been nice to have a chance to see this Opening Ceremony Live.
Ahmed Gidil's hosting performance was not very impressive I think he is so much young to handle this ceremony but overall the program has been good.
5810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: February 20, 2020, 03:04:31 PM
What you are thinking about PSL it is going to be start February 20 onwards in Pakistan. How pakistan can they gives security for foreign players? and Pakistan peoples are going give good responses to PSL? Please share your thoughts here.

Last time when Bangladesh visited Pakistan they closed the whole area near the stadium. A group of intelligence and security officials was accompanying the Bangladesh team. They provided the security of the highest level as if the head of any country was traveling.

They are trying there level best. I am sure they will do the same this time also. PSL is popular in Pakistan but it still needs more exposure for other cricketing countries to follow.
I think that the PSL tournament going to held in Pakistan is going be a great tournament for the cricket fans to enjoy. Though, the PCB have to try their best to ensure the security of not only the abroad players but also the local players. They should take help from the military service for that. Yes, I think that the Pakistani people will give good response to this.
During the Bangladesh tour, I think that PCB gave their utmost to ensure the security of the players which is a really great sign for the cricket fans and Pakistan itself. This time, during the PCL, they should devote themselves more than they did in the Bangladesh tour, as hundreds of foreign players will be present there.

Franchise T20 leagues have emerged as the main revenue generators for various cricket boards around the world, including the BCCI, ECB and CA. The PCB has yet to fully capitalize on the PSL, since the previous editions were being conducted in the United Arab Emirates. This time, hopefully they will be able to generate more revenue as it is being played within Pakistan.
Yes, they should be able to make more revenue than last time PCL was organized in UAE. The Pakistani people are huge fans of the cricket. So, as cricket is stepping inside the country, the fans would be eagerly waiting to see it live. So, yes, they will make more revenue out of it.

5812  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcoin.AG - New Layout & Sports deposit bonus. on: February 19, 2020, 01:00:50 AM

To my knowledge,,, most sportsbooks do NOT lock your account because they all have geolocation restrictions but they still want you to play, so they will let you use VPN if you need to access a website. I have never heard of casinos locking for VPN I have heard them locking for multi-accounting and that is a different thing.

how can they know you multi account if you use a vpn?
There is no chance to catch if you use a vpn.
If you play Matched betting and if you have a single set of accounts it's not prohibited. Although most of the online casino sites don't like opening multicount but they also do not take any action against it.

5814  Economy / Speculation / Re: Scammers move 12k BTC - dump is comming? on: February 18, 2020, 10:37:23 PM
It seems like 12k BTC is moved but it's not proved that those amount of BTC is sold out If exchange is not involved with this then it is not possible to sell this volume of BTC simultaneously and the other thing is that there is no reason for the market to have such an impact for only 12k BTC. Look at today’s market its pretty good already BTC passed a critical level of 10000 and a Bullish rally has been started.
5815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do some gamblers actually win? on: February 18, 2020, 07:29:09 PM
Yes, some gamblers do actually win but the ration is really very steep. Although the favor is in the house's court most of the time, but still, that is why it is called gambling - anything can happen. For example I take part in 10 gambles in a week and invest 10 bucks in total and lose 9 of them and by chance win 12 bucks in one gamble. So that will inspire me to gamble more whereas 50 more people like me are losing those 9 gambles which is a big profit for the house.  Roll Eyes
5816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often do you gamble? on: February 18, 2020, 06:57:36 PM
I started gambling in my life in around 2013, at that time I used to gamble to earn my daily expenses, to tell you the truth, I was addicted to gambling.
But after marriage, my life changed drastically, I got a job then got busy with family although at present I do not play as before but I have not quit gambling yet.
Yet I often go gambling with friends but now I don't gamble on the big risks just play on fixed cash games and sometimes play tournament poker games.
On the other hand, I think everyday in my life I'm gambling now and then. Even every decision in my life is a gamble. For instance, if you want to be a Crypto trader, every trade you make is a gamble for you, you might make a big profit out of it, you might even make big loss in it.
5817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Check Liquidity Before you invest on: February 18, 2020, 05:58:40 PM
if people buy coins with low liquidity can only be used for daily trading, we know that every day there must be a coin that fluctuates very drastically, then they take advantage of this situation when the coin is pumped and has a higher volume than usually.
~snip~
How could we make profits in day trading if ever the coin only has minimum buy orders?
He has to know that, It is always better to invest in a coin having high liquidity. For example, if you invest in a coin that has low liquidity, and someday in the future the price rises really high and you make a huge profit out of it, but there is barely any buyer to buy your coin. So in this situation, the profit you made comes to no good. On the contrary, if you invest in a highly liquid coin, even if you make a small profit, you can cash it out any given time. So it is always better to invest in coins having high liquidity.
5818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: February 17, 2020, 09:53:52 PM
I think that bitcoins should be an alternate way of accessing money, rather than making it a replacement for paper money. Paper money is always vital in one's day to day life. On the other hand, bitcoins should be user in cases where using paper money is risky or maybe hard to use. For example, if I want to send money to a friend of his living on the other side of the country, sending paper money through courier/bank is quite time consumable and risky as well. So, in this case, I can easily send money to my friend using bitcoin, in seconds and at the same time by using a highly encrypted method.
So, if you asked "what has bitcoin actually done for me" I just want to say It gives me a fully comfortable secured transection method and saves my time for doing unnecessary things.
5819  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC ATM's installation and business model, any advice? on: February 17, 2020, 08:16:45 PM
~snip~
In my opinion I think bitcoin ATM could be useless at some point. In my experience here in my country a lot of bitcoin ATM don't last for a long time because their is a easy way to buy or withdraw your bitcoin(I think the best purpose is withdrawing bitcoin or converting it to a cash).
I don't know why ATM doesn't last for a long time on your country, I think it could happen due to lack of popularity.
Bitcoin ATM's could be set up same as other ATM's of banks are set up every here and there. The user has to log in to his Bitcoin wallet account be it coinbase or blockchain or electrum. Then they can send money to their preferred destination or maybe make some kind of payment or even in exchange for the bitcoin, they can cash out money depending on how much they have in their wallet.
5820  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin protocol be changed to allow for a larger supply? on: February 17, 2020, 06:11:38 PM
Maybe impossible because many have kicked against the move to increase Bitcoin supply. These has been many opposition that: only hardfork could do such but not ready for the move. This can be seen as something that looks impossible because many individuals have spoken against such act. If you ask for my opinion on this, I will simply say, no need to increase Bitcoin supply Period.

Bitcoin protocol could be changed which will allow for a larger supply but thinking about the perspective of the users and miners, I don't think it will be that easy to do. Because,
(a) For the new protocol to take place, every user and miner has to adapt to the new mode and
(b) If Bitcoin is more prevalent, the price of it will go really low from as it is now, which will be barely accepted by the community.
