This is a battle in a war that is far from over. One one side we have basic human rights, civil rights, civil liberties and basic freedoms such as freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of enterprise, etc. On the other hand we have a powerful corporation hell bent on micromanaging its clients in order to extract rents from other peoples work.
It's a cell phone app store not a civil right. The owner of that app store gets to say who and what is in it. Period. The app store is not a free speech venue for anyone except for Apple. I do not like Apples decision, and I think it will HURT THEM. It will hurt them and I think they feel it already like I said before. They will re-think this decision I am sure of that (in very short time from now ;P)

I expect the side of freedom and liberty to win, and Bitcoin will likely pay a very positive part in this but I do not expect this fight to be easy.
I agree with you. I think Apple corporation have idea what have they done and that Bitcoin enthusiasts are -80% not using Apple products anymore ;P And this is a war that Apple wanna to start - Bitcoin was ok with Apple ... Apple Bitcoin Wallet was ok too... But Apple ... is not ok ... RIP Steve Jobs

Hey, I scanned computer with avast anti virus today and found a virus in C:\users\myname\AppData\Roaming\bitcoin\chainstate\701137.sst\
It says the gravitygrade is high and the status is "Threat: BV:Akuma-A" Avast says it can't find the file when I try to delete it and I can't find it manually either
What is this and should I be worried?
does anyone use Avast and issue same problem? This is probalby not a virus ... but we should check it. What kind of Avast do you use?

Perhaps most of you already read about this, but I am thinking of a discussion about it. http://www.coindesk.com/unofficial-apple-ios-store-to-allow-bitcoin-wallet-apps/"Unofficial Apple iOS Store to Allow Bitcoin Wallet Apps" This sounds great for Bitcoin and iOS users, but if this is like they say " novel workaround " would Apple do something about it or just let it go and stop this "war" against Bitcoin? And does anyone tested already this "standalone bitcoin wallet app " ? It should be possible to download from a day.

No, it's impossible. There's no such thing as 'time'. You cannot go into the future and certainly not the past.
Well... time what is time. you cannot say there is no time ... I can, because there isn't. Using a quote doesn't make 'time' magically exist. You can say time exists in the same way god does to some. Time doesn't exist, clocks do Well ... so whatever is the time, your life is passing by. And doesn't matter what you will call it. It is here with us somehow.

Why did the value of 1 BTC fall from ~1100 USD in December to ~450 now? I can understand volatility for a couple 100 dollars even, but the value has almost halved. Is this due to the Mt. Gox hacking?
Those are more speculations IMO, but I believe reasons are clear: 1. Mt.Gox 2. Other exchanges suffers attacks 3. Charlie S. 4. Then it was not bad until 5. ITS 6. China (maybe yes/maybe no) but all of those means nothing Bitcoin is not 1 year old project and it is very strong even with all of those issues there are plenty of good news too. Satoshi went public with Bitcoin in 2009... I've been registered on bitcointalk since 2011. Not sure where you got the idea it was not yet 1 year old... Back to the OP's question, this is Bitstamp's price chart for "all data" from Bitcoincharts - you can see than in April 2013 price went from over USD200 to under USD100 - and going further back similar falls occur with surprising regularity. Edit: http://bitcoincharts.com/charts/bitstampUSD#tgSza1gWMAzm1g20za2gWMAzm2g1920zl (Oops!) I'm not saying MtGox et al didn't play their part, just that we tend to overemphasise the role of news. MtGox, for example, didn't come as the big surprise many people think it did - people had been expecting MtGox to screw up for some time, and that would have been reflected in the price long before February 2014. You misunderstood :-) I told that indeed bitcoin is much older than 1 year and this is why problems from science last few months means nothing as bitcoin is much older and stronger in same time ...

I don't think it really matters long term if you buy today or Monday. Most of us thought that BTC would crash when SR was shutdown, but it did the exact opposite.
I can agree with that. And this is what I do think too. Anyway I do not use Bitcoin as a long-term investment ... I use it as a crypto currency earn, spent, etc.. So I really believe - every day is a good day for Bitcoin!

Thanks to caffeine and taurine probably large dose of vitamins probably makes you more concentrated. You want to give it a try? it looks tasty I prefer go to sleep rather than suffer for insomnia after this magic vitamins Well sometimes it is hard to just "go to sleep" and maybe some special doze of vitamins + taurine could be useful for traders who knows But indeed I think best option is to go to bed when you are tired
