5802  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LakeBTC security certificate expired on: December 28, 2016, 02:33:57 PM
Their certificate hasn't expired yet (it will at 1/15/2017 so roughly 18 days to go). They could renew it within the next 48 days (30 days after the expiration date although it doesn't make them secure the moment it expires).

Perhaps you visited two websites and thought is LakeBTC.

5804  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: blockchain.info dont send email to gmail ??? on: December 27, 2016, 06:48:19 PM
Sometimes there's a delay. Have you checked other sections of your gmail?
Also whenever this happens, I simply close the browser and try everything from start (for receiving the email, not login in gmail) and their email appears in my mail.

Update:
still not working for my :/

5805  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Dedicated Hardware display for bitcoin and litecoin exchange rate ticker. on: December 27, 2016, 06:42:13 AM
I do like it and here's some of the suggestions that could improve it further more:

1. RGB back light (not necessary all the colors but some options would be nice)
2. Intensity of the back light (it might be too bright at night)
3. According to the images, the back panel is black so making it white would certainly improve it's aesthetics
4. Since there's room for 1 more line in the LCD, having coin names displayed might also be good
5. A better cut for the placement of LCD (the rough edges are visible)

Overall it's nice, at what price you're going to sell these?

5808  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: PSU for SP20 on: December 26, 2016, 06:00:33 AM
PS: This is the one I was planning to buy 2x units of (off course, it has to work)
eBay link
Don't buy that one since it uses "VS Channel Well Technology" which is considered a tier 4 in the PSU tier lists (made and tested by professionals). Anything beyond tier 2 in the list below isn't good for heavy loads.
Read also the description of the tier 3 (2nd sentence), it specifically says those listed on tier 3 aren't ideal for BTCitcoin mining and what your planning to buy is a tier 4 PSU.

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Since you were going to buy a 2x 550W then there's plenty of choices in the list (tier 1 and 2 are the most stable and high quality ones, which would prolong the life of the miner, as well as being efficient among the other tiers).
5809  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: DT and Campaign managers stance on multiple accounts in campaigns on: December 25, 2016, 05:00:02 PM
Anyways, If the accounts are proven to be owned by another person would it be a bad idea to tag them? Yes the forum allows multiple accounts, i know this, but if we allow only 1 account period for sig campaigns i think we can solve a few problems. IMO account sales will go down cause all the alts will start bleeding red. Obviously less spammers will be in the campaigns. Let me know your opinions as it will help me in my decision process.
I like the direction you're heading to (in general) but some things should be solved by their roots (in order to make it more successful). I fully support the idea of allowing 1 account for participating in signature campaigns (at a time) but this should be forced by forum itself (be added as an actual rule). This way more would obey it, even though others would still try to cheat the system but with proper awareness, they could get caught and be banned accordingly. Unfortunately tagging such users with negative ratings would only bring temporary fixes (as soon as they get one or some of their accounts tagged, they'll try to either purchase another one or create another one).

Regardless of the possible outcomes (temporary fix or not), every single step would be vital into bringing the amount of spam down so if users that have two or more accounts participating in campaigns (with bad and useless posts) are caught, those accounts deserve to be tagged (maybe some trial period like 1st offense 7 days of being tagged, 2nd offense 14 days of being tagged and so on...... so they wouldn't be able to participate on any campaign), but in special cases of someone that has two participating accounts but he/she is a very high quality and knowledgeable while being useful, I think an exception should be made even though it's really hard to keep the quality up with two accounts since there's always the urge of making more post than they should in the first place.

My suggestions:
1. Enforcing it as a forum rule (1 participating account per person on campaigns)
2. Case to case basis evaluation for tagging users with trial period punishments

5811  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Computer tower case that will fit the R4?? on: December 25, 2016, 08:11:01 AM
I'm looking to make it look like a pc Smiley
Are you able tot ake the hdd racks etc out of that one? essentially make it a but open box?
I see, it would be a great mining case Smiley
Yes, you could completely remove the hdd racks in order to pave the way for larger equipment. Here's a picture I just took from the manual (hope it would be clear enough): https://i.imgur.com/3Re3QIx.jpg
You can't make it a complete open box since not all the parts are removable. Some parts could be rotated though.
5812  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Computer tower case that will fit the R4?? on: December 25, 2016, 06:23:31 AM
Just to give you another option with more space and fans, you could look at the "Cooler Master Cosmos II - Ultra Tower". I have this case myself and you could literally fit anything inside of it since you could disassemble some parts (good for some large equipment's, without the need of cutting any piece down). It's a bit bigger than what you chose in the above post. Also it might be a bit pricey but it's well worth the price, if your going to use it for the right thing.

Review: https://youtu.be/cuP9XMIjT6A

Why don't you just build a case using some wooden boards (just make the appropriate holes for the fans and attach the wooden boards). You could also paint it so it would look better and at the same time, saves you a lot of money (should take few hrs to make).
5813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem starting GPU MINING RIG on: December 24, 2016, 12:50:03 PM
If there's a beep sound and everything turns on for a second before completely shuts down again, then there's a high chance of faulty assembly of wires, some where (I had similar issues and always disassemble and assemble everything from scratch, in order to solve it). If it doesn't turn on completely then there's also a chance of incompatibility of some parts. I've used far poorer PSU brands for mining and as long as it turns on, it shouldn't cause any problem (as long as the power usage doesn't go beyond what it could handle).

Could you upload a picture of the setup (with visible cable connections, in case there's any fault on your side) and also the full specs of each items being used in the setup (to make sure of their compatibility).

Based on the added information (on the update you made to this thread), it's most likely an issue with the assembly since you replaced the motherboard and chances of connecting some cables wrong, might be the issue. Still if you could upload a picture with setup information, it might help solve the issue sooner.
5814  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Accepting Bitcoin MYBB - Subscription on: December 24, 2016, 06:23:03 AM
You might want to check out the following website (trusted and used by many websites): https://bitpay.com/
Also I found another website for MyBB BTCitcoin payments (not sure if it's working), that might be useful as well (make sure to double check everything). It has the links in the lower right of the page: http://davidsterry.com/credit_from_coins/
5815  Other / Meta / Re: Image to bbcode web-app on: December 23, 2016, 06:48:25 AM
Although you've done a nice job into making the web app, somehow you've failed to take into consideration the signature character limits (which is 4000 characters)
For the above two images you've posted, they each have 18760 and 16805 characters respectively. I even uploaded a single complex image and it end up with 55527 characters which is a lot.

This is a 60 x 40 px(height) and it's shown like this. Image is a .png format and the app failed to deliver it in the appropriate size and it's consists of "3952" characters" which is a lot for a single image.

This is a 60 x 40 px(height) and it's shown like this. Image is a .jpg format and the app failed to deliver it in the appropriate size and it's consists of "24928" characters" which is way more than the limit and for a simple image, is simply too much characters. Someone could go all the way in the code and delete each of those separate color codes and make them into one but it would take a lot of time and still the image wouldn't be correct in terms of height.

5816  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Finally got my 125 Th/s mining up , Whats the next step ? on: December 22, 2016, 11:38:09 PM
With that amount of hash rate, I would go with both (just to make sure of uninterrupted earnings while waiting to hit the block in solo mode).
100 TH/s in solo mining and 25 TH/s in a pool mining.
5817  Economy / Reputation / Re: tbearhere community reaction on: December 21, 2016, 09:14:00 PM
Just look at his trust ratings by clicking on the trust under his name. You will see so many people got scammed by him. Thank You.  Smiley
Clearly your mixing his "Sent feedback" with his "received feedback" since you copy pasted his sent feedback (as if those feedback's are for his account): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1722426.msg17251550#msg17251550 and http://archive.is/aJoZQ (#16)

Here's a simple tutorial:

As far as I'm concerned, I'll take that negative trust rating off as soon as he takes it off me.
You're the one who left the negative rating first, so have the decency to delete it first. The more time you waste for getting into yahoo62278's head, the lesser chance you get for getting the negative rating down.

Nope thief on his part yahoo.
Nope, it's you failing to read the campaign rules and obeying them.

And why are you defending him so much and not me. Look at his background.
His (were) defending him since his correct and you're wrong. Again please read the above screenshot I made so you could actually know about his background.
5818  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What is your best mining strategy? on: December 20, 2016, 06:48:51 PM
1. Purchase the most efficient miner out there
2. Don't mine 24/7 until the boards give up (give it a rest so it would serve as a maintenance for few hrs a day)
3. If you have a strong blower (with different levels) try to clean up the present dusts (at least once a week)
4. Refrain from tweaking it (increases chances of failure, one way or another unless your well informed of what your doing)
5. Make sure there's a good air passage in the mining room
6. If you've mined using the hardware for around 6 months and there's a better and more efficient miner out there, sell yours and re-invest.

I haven't included the obvious ones (difficulty and power cost managements) since most likely you already know it.
5819  Economy / Reputation / Re: tbearhere community reaction on: December 20, 2016, 02:01:39 PM
Nothing from your side is wrong but him on the other hand (failure to read the rules and follow them) seems to understand things completely they way he only wants. Regardless of those posts (which were awful), even if he lacked a single posts, he doesn't deserve to receive a single cent (rules are rules and all involved parties should follow it). Back when I used to manage campaigns, there were a lot of users that lacked a single posts to receive payments for those periods but even though I felt sorry for them, I had no choice to deny them and what you've done in this case is completely correct and based on the campaign rules itself.

Not sure why a lot of "Legendary" members don't follow, read and understand rules and it's very annoying (given that they've been here the longest).

Update:
People should either only selectively get 'promoted' to such a rank or selectively get demoted based on their actions/knowledge.
I fully support that (in case it gets implemented somehow).
5820  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Useful Blogs and Articles? on: December 19, 2016, 11:12:53 AM
Some other websites that often release BTCitcoin related articles (aside from those mentioned by MadGamer):

1. CryptoNews
2. News.Bitcoin
3. cryptocoinsnews
4. CoinReport
5. 99BITCOINS
6. NEWSBTC
7. INSIDEBITCOINS
8. Bitcoinist
9. TheMerkle

Issue:
Your going to read a lot of paid articles along the way, some will state on the article itself that is a paid one or a sponsored one while others keep it a secret so always double check everything (not only service related, it could be any type of article).

Some YouTube channels that might take your attention:

1. Coinigy Bitcoin
2. Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Technologies Online Course
3. Epicenter
4. Follow The Coin
5. reinvent.money

Just found some of these channels, hope it would be useful.
