Our of interest today, I had a look at our faucet stats. On a typical day, we're giving out about 1000 bits (500 faucet claims) so it has it hasn't been a big burden. However, one thing caught my eye, our most active fauceter:

Here is the list of faucet claim time (and time since last claim):

http://privatepaste.com/6c2fbcdda5

Hard to tell if that's a bot or an insomniac

I would be pretty confident saying it's a human.

He seems to sleep from 18:00 to 23:00 or thereabouts. Assuming your times are UTC, and that he's sleeping 1am to 6am his time, he's 7 hours east of Greenwich, which probably puts him in China or Indonesia.

Does that fit with the IP address?

Pretty sure know who this is. Also Primedice's most active faucet player (Assuming it's the same guy judging on sleeping times etc.). Bloke definitely isn't a bot. Closer to insomniac.

some people make a living doing this?

I honestly remember a report from a website saying that homeless people were living on bitcoin. Actually just found it! It's from 2013! Price when it was posted was ~125$. I'd love to know what happened to those guys...

5837  Economy / Economics / Re: How will a Greek exit from the Euro affect BTC? on: February 10, 2015, 05:46:44 PM
We'll have to wait for tomorrow, February 11 to see. Greece won't be exiting the Euro most likely but since the eurogroup takes place tomorrow we'll surely see some interesting events unfold. And honestly, if you're going to get your news from an online source, my suggestion is that you should also use a website that is located to a country withing the eurozone.

http://www.dw.de/ from Germany and http://www.ekathimerini.com/ from Greece are decent imo. Websites like http://www.independent.co.uk/ and most websites from the USA always take a different approach on the topic. Sometimes their reports range from inaccurate absolute speculation. You need to look at both sides of the story to have a clear image.

I was referring to the list of trusted people found here... You can change it to form your own trust list. Tongue Maybe not many people use it.

Are trust lists considered private? Let's find out what bitcointalk thinks.
5840  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SEGVEC CONNED ME OUT OF 14.09 BTC on: February 09, 2015, 03:52:41 PM
It should be common sense where the money came from given the circumstances. Hell, I knew before the scam accusations were even made just by the dudes name and the amounts of BTC he was selling and the way he was selling them.
Why don't you connect the dots for us? Where was the money coming from? Silk road?

Carding.
