5821  Other / Meta / Re: End of 2020, damn it. on: August 29, 2020, 05:42:23 AM
My head literally exploded and my eyes really hurt seeing the thread in Reputation: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=129.0, full of 'quarrels / misunderstandings' between DT vs DT.
Better to ignore that boards mate if you found yourself trapped on such drama. Trust system and issues will never go away and it will always be the same like in the past. Some quarrel cool down as time passes by and this will end if not tomorrow some other day.

We are such a small community and instead of growing together, we pull each other down. Live and let others live.
As much as we wanted so, there are some users with different perspective with one another, or dont have same belief over things but thats normal. Debate is also part of common grounds of forum. Its just some making it personal.

On the other note. Has anyone miss TMAN?  Cheesy
5822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: De-Fi apps are NOT 100% decentralized on: August 29, 2020, 05:01:31 AM
Do you think that "De-Fi" is not as decentralized as its proponents claim it to be? Does it need improvement? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
For me it is decentralized we can see that on some major projects. Centralized approach is being with held with some of those projects.

For example curve finance it is decentralized but its governance is majority cotrolled by centralized authority, so where does it lead the project? Many thinks that decentralized revolves on simple smart contract but honestly I dont feel it.

Another example is IDEX, who is also part of the ethereum DeFi ecosystem, asking KYC and store it on their servers.
Im not sure about it. Ive used IDEX before, the only changes they made is the approach  on their registration aside from importing wallet details to an email. Yeah we can say that they are moving to a centralized gaming but not totally remove its objective.

5824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunter, keep updated about bounty payment. on: August 28, 2020, 08:34:58 AM
I don't know if this thread will be of any use to any Bounty hunter.
Hello there Im a bounty hunter too but honestly this thread is a waste of space here. Thats why the altcoin discussion is flagged with spam topic cause most subject is complained abouy bounty. Its not good to make such topic regarding complained which has no relevance on this particular section.

Most bounty have an unfair rules, and everybody are aware of that. The only thing that could save hunters are picking a good campaign that is worth the time. Anyway, I have an updated thread here:

Safe Campaigns in the Altcoin section to join. Dont waste your time with others

Ive been quite busy for a while but soon I'll be updating this thread.

5825  Other / Meta / Re: I'm looking for that guy in picture from old topic on bitcointalk on: August 28, 2020, 07:52:44 AM
It seems like there is a person who edited the qr code hmm, it would be risky to send him now.
Surely it is changed by someone who has no heart to even used the guy picture to stole bitcoins.

Shamefully I dont know why people are so greedy and able not to be guilty doing this awful things.

Curious also to OP, are you gonna help him? If yes that would be nice.

I think this must be posted on reputation or scam accusation based on stompix hunch, cause there are chances some users who own bitcoin could send to a fake one and not to the real guy in the photo.

5826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Research and Experience, There’s No Other Way! on: August 28, 2020, 07:04:28 AM
it will take years of research and experience to master bitcoin.
Maybe or maybe not. Some here have mastered the basic knowledge everything about bitcoin, how it works, mechanism, and its used to different application. Learning bitcoin technology speed is depend on the user capability to grasp all there is to learn. Some here can understand, and execute anything coding on bitcoin easily especially those who have knowledge with related field.

Im not totally techie guy, but somehow I understand and know how it works, and manage to execute some task like keeping my security when using off bitcoin wallets including altcoins too.
5827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some common unnoticed errors most newbies and some users make on: August 28, 2020, 06:41:57 AM
As much as many of us will fail to admit, we are often guilty of this habit of creating OP targeted at being merited. The forum rules out the begging of merits but posting with hopes of being merited is an abuse of the merit system as well.
At first, everyone is often do this. Trying hard to create any topics for the sake of merits. I will not exclude myself since I did this before but of course lesson learned is we must not expect any merits from our contributions. Now when I have a good topic on mind, I literally create an OP for this but of course with or without merits I wanted that topic to be discussed with other users and share their feedback and mine too. Hope all newbies should be confident about it and never stress out yourself when your post gotten none merit. It will come soon.
5828  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Common Telegram scam till date on: August 27, 2020, 08:02:20 AM
The worst was when the add you to some other channel together with 100s of others.
Ive often got same experience like this before, so I change my account to private and contact only. Its annoying when you wake up that your account has too many telegram groups that you nevered joined with.

Telegram is the worst place you wanna hangout due to many scammers. One time Im asking on Binance English, about certain transaction, and someone pm me, from that moment I knew she is not from Binance, cause admin never pm as they note on their profile. Avoid talking to strangers and your safe from these bastards.

5829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Whale Sold at $12,000 After 2 Years HODLing on: August 27, 2020, 06:51:16 AM
That must be the great Institutional short, basically a manipulation to bring down the price again. They want to lower the price, so it can trigger panic. Then buy back and ride the boat.
Thats how trading works. If you are on his shoes wouldnt you sell at a profit already? Sometime we just think that this is whay they thinking what if the whale is really a tycoon decided to invest and sell his profit. Thats business work on some of them but if a certain whale is greedy he can even pulled the price down. Well only a speculative discussion has no ending tales. If the price go down buy more if the price increases take profits. Thats the law of trading, greed can eat you alive when not used properly.
5830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is it when the year will be over there are always talk about the price on: August 27, 2020, 05:40:33 AM
Maybe because to note the record for this year performance. Last bull run it happened on the end of the year and that was really unexpected by a lot of people. You can see that many users holding coins have gotten some pretty good fortune and now that the year is closing to its end. There are some who are expecting a lot of the same events that will occured again.

Im not expecting though but Im hoping there would be a good run this year for the market. My portfolio is loaded with different coin that Im hoping to have some gains of course bitcoin included.
5831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why don't more people invest in btc? on: August 27, 2020, 05:17:18 AM
I'm wondering why the general population hasn't yet caught on and started investing in bitcoin. These days people seem to be willing to immediately invest into the stock market, but not into any cryptos, when it has such a large potential in the future. Why is this the case?
Some of them are still in doubt about bitcoin since this is not officially endorsed by any centralized government well for some countries.

Also some people still not familiar with its use case and purpose but just heard that ita a good investment. I can say that even at this stage we are still an early adopter of bitcoin. Some investors are also looking on some profitable projects in the altcoin so investors that can focus on bitcoin has been scattered.
5832  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5 Tips for Crypto Noobs 📌(in my opinion) on: August 26, 2020, 07:49:36 AM
IMO total noobs should keep their coins on the exchange until they know what they're doing. For the average non tech savvy person the exchange is the safest place for their coins.
I think better read masulum post.

In addition to that superb reasons. Storing your funds to an exchange is high risk. Why not download or create your own wallet that you had your coin. For example you had neo, create wallet for neo, using the safest wallet they recommend. Not your keys not your coins. This is a fsmous tagline that you must remember.

If youre gonna say that it is time consuming then youre not concern your own safety. Even this is a hard way, at least you are doing it right. There are wallets that have multiple support for different cryptocurrency and blockchain but you must be careful cause it is still risky. Only left funds on your exchange that you can afford to lose in any case the five advise to you happened.
5833  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] CyberTron Plagiarized Whitepaper. (Possible ponzi schemes) on: August 26, 2020, 06:47:32 AM
Yeah I only found the bounty threads because they just made it immediately launch the bounty and I hope that many are spared.
Seeing the bounty thread some hunters are really dont learn when it comes to picking a good campaign. Im so sudden with that fact that simple research right now cant be established well. Anyway, supporting the flag OP!

Also its quite funny that the name is merely like a fun joke. Imagine the name cybertron. For everyone's info its somehow a place where autobots live from (Transformers Movie) and the owner relate it to tron. Funny name indeed. Find it a none serious project.

Great catch OP.
5834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockfolio IOS App Doesn't Refresh? on: August 26, 2020, 06:22:05 AM
Any other apps like blockfolio that isn't lagging?  I like it but i find it annoying i need to click on every coin to find the current price.  I mean back then i recall you click home, it updates all the coins in your portfolio.
Hello there Ive better check the suggestion of coinmarketcap app.

Not just fast but the data consolidated is a bit trusted compared to other tracker portfolio. Im using blockfolio before but due to inaccurate information displayed aive unisntalled it.

But I expect something change on their platform as [1] FTX bought their app for $150million.

Here is the deal:

5835  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: License to Sell Bitcoin in Person as Oppose To Online Exchange? on: August 25, 2020, 08:55:28 AM
Licensing is based on the local regulations, people getting arrested weren't for selling bitcoin. In most cases the arrests were for the reason of money laundering and making illegal transactions in large volume.
Let say the guys OP were talking about were arrested. Based on local rule of their government probably this is their regulation. If its stipulated on their law and someone got caught that someone, has no right to resist arrest isnt it? But I doubt that there is a country that would be so strict as this not to even sell or buy bitcoin for not having license. Bitcoin is a free digital currency created for peer to peer. That country brealing the idea of Satoshi, but of course its on their people to follow or not.
5836  Other / Meta / Re: How are we expected to rank up? on: August 25, 2020, 03:03:24 AM
Does anyone have any experience ranking up in this newer rank system?
Hello there yes, many members here ranked up since the implementation of merit system. I myself ranked up from member up to hero rank. To tell you the truth its not easy to get merit, especially if your account has been affiliated with bounty report links and almost all related to joining airdrop or bounty.

But it was a game changer for me to change that status and realized the importance of learning more here in forum than just a bounty. But as you go on, you will improved each time you encountered such failure or mistake like posting on wrong section, replying on already answered inquiry, and many more.

Let me share you my experience with this post From being a shitposter before now Officially Hero Rank hope you can learn something and inspired by this.
5837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap - Why so successful? on: August 24, 2020, 05:36:47 AM
Hello to avoid such topic redundancy. You shoud used the search function to search whether this topic has been open up already or not. You can post some discussion here on this thread.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5270415.msg55038528#msg55038528

I believe this is the good thread for uniswap discussion. Might as well to lock this topic. So spammers wouldnt come here and repeat the same content that has been postef already on first topics. The lock button is on the lower left beside move.
5838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong information shown by the media 🎵 ? on: August 24, 2020, 03:49:05 AM
This is a simple illustration of the difference.

Source by Blockgeek.

He mentioned in PoS that bitcoin can mined or validate block based on amount of hold? Yes if bitcoin utilizes PoS but its not the process. I would love it since my bitcoin will increase  Cheesy. But PoS is worked by staking coin on the ecosystem  by validators and not using any computational work like PoW to earn block reward.

This is a good source from [1]blockgeek for reading and comparing both consensus.

5840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Avalanche mainnet will go live in two weeks – which price do you expect? on: August 23, 2020, 07:21:55 AM
What price do you expect from Avalanche when it goes live? Keep in mind, many AVAX will be locked first and only be distributed later.
And what is your prediction for Avalanche long-term?

We will never know what could be the price since mainnet goes live and it be listed on market. But I do know is it will have a good impact once the mainnet is running already.

seems better to use them to share general opinions instead of creating more topics.
Avalanche Dedicated thread for news, discussion and update.

Thanks for mentionijg my thread. Actually I dont know if OP is using the search function. To knowbif there is already an existing thread. But I do hope he reads this and locked this and focus on the thread Ive created.

I missed the ICO of Avalanche but if the price is still under 1$ that will be a big catch, take a look at DIA, this project was at 0.5$ when the bonding curve began and it's now 3$ plus, I believe Avalanche will do better, just my opinion, do your own research
I think the price could be a huge speculation for now.IOU of avax traded above 7$ but lets not bet that high cause market is different on the actual trading.

OP kindly locked this thread and discuss on the thread mentioned by coupable. But make sure for everyone that the topic is purely related or have sense cause Ive moderated the thread. In case for spam post.
