5821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin's highest price before the Year End's on: December 25, 2020, 06:24:28 PM
There is nothing still impossible about bitcoin, it is very possible that bitcoin will get to all time high which could be $25000 before the end of the year but I think even if not possible, it is very possible and more certain that bitcoin will get to $25000 the beginning of next year.

I think it makes sense to consider not the peak values (which can be any but very short-term) but the average. At least the average daily price can be considered real (bitcoin trading volumes are very large per day and are difficult to manipulate). But in principle, for interest to continue to grow, even a sharp increase will create a lot of info reasons.
I too will consider the average daily price because of what you said. But as for the best about trading, I do have my stop loss in order to have a better profit which can still be around the average daily price.
5822  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wow, The Best Crypto Christmas Ever! on: December 25, 2020, 06:14:45 PM
I do not know if this is the best Christmas if comes to crypto prices (bitcoin specificall) but it is known to be a bullrun time which led to increase in bitcoin price. Although the price of bitcoin has been increasing right from yesterday from $23230 that bitcoin market closed but later increased to $24700 as its highest price today, now at $24100 which is still a good price. What I am now expecting is the price to increase in the coming year which has been what people are expecting.
5823  Other / Meta / Re: Remove Signatures from Altcoin-sections on: December 25, 2020, 06:49:52 AM
Altcoin section is also contributing good to this forum wellness, many people on this forum do not know the more we are the more will be shit posters and also average posters of different categories. If signature is removed from the altcoin boards, it just simple means altcoin boards posting activities will reduce. The bitcoin boards will be unfit for many members of this forum in a way they will have to leave therefore reducing bitcointalk members which can be detrimental.
5824  Economy / Economics / Re: IF USDT would collapse what do you think will happen to the BTC price? on: December 25, 2020, 06:37:54 AM
USDT collapse means crypto industry collapse. This will hurt really hard
USDT can collapse but it if it collapse it can happen in a way nothing will happen to crypto industry, my reasons are

1. USDT is said to be owned by an exchange bitfinex which was hacked few years ago and believe to have manipulated tether to pay their dept (the bitfinex hack)
2. Knowing that their are government organizations that are investigating this, although it can be underground
3. Tether is not only the stable coin, it can be delisted on exchanges and be replaced by other stable coins.

Only coin that can collapse and result to the collapse of crypto industry generally is bitcoin, but this has not be seen to be able happen in future.
5825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is headed for the stars, but... on: December 25, 2020, 06:26:25 AM
Sell your bitcoins if you need food. It doesn't make sense to starve to death hoping that you will live off BTC profits.
Nice idea.

But if you can, hang onto the Bitcoins you have. Because you will be rich when BTC goes to a $million or higher.
If possible bitcoin will go $1 million one day, the day is still very far, not 10 years from now because the marketcap needed for that is very high. Did you know that over a trillion marketcap will get bitcoin to just $100000, which means more 10 fold is still required to get it to such price. If more institutions can pump in more money and buy bitcoin, possibly will result to bitcoin getting to such price.

But, what I know is that no matter what, bitcoin price will ever be at increase everytime over long term period.
5826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Sent ETH to BTC wallet address on: December 25, 2020, 06:08:29 AM
I guess he mistakenly bought ETH and sent it to his coinbase bitcoin address. The issue now is if the ETH sent to bitcoin address if it can be retrieved or recovered? But I do not think it can. Which means the fund has just been lost, we should not send to wrong address because it can result to permanent loss of coin. We should also be careful of fake apps, making only the legit app to purchase bitcoin.
5827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $318K by December 2021 on: December 24, 2020, 10:23:00 PM
too high if the price can go up to $ 300k, even I don't think so, it will be at least $ 30,000 which is good. so now prepare yourself for an even higher price

It is not too high if the price of bitcoin can go up a million dollars in 2021 but it is not possible. It is not also possible to achieve $100000 not to talk of bitcoin price achieving $318000. What we should speculate more about now is about 2021 bitcoin price will be that bitcoin can grow up to $50000 or  to $80000 but thinking of more than that is not achievable.

5829  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought BTC at 23.5K$ on: December 24, 2020, 10:11:56 PM
I think buying bitcoin at $23500 depends, for me I will prefer to trade bitcoin and using spot or future trade will be good but they are highly risky, especially future trading. But to hold is not bad either, institutions are investing while many other investors could also invest, but if institution whales can invest, it can lead to increase in market capitalization of bitcoin. The two are better but depending on how expert someone is to make maximum profit.
5830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Christmas Bear Already Started Munching! on: December 24, 2020, 10:00:25 PM
As soon as inflation starts growing and world banks stop printing money, Bitcoin might start dropping in value - that could be a long way off though.
Bitcoin is not inflationary like fiat, if fiat is inflationary and circumstances resulting to inflation, that means bitcoin will have more value which could in one way increase the price of bitcoin. What did you mean by if bank stop printing money? Did you mean when CBDC will start be used for currency purposes? I do not yet understand how this is linked to how bitcoin price will fall because it is not possible for bitcoin price to fall because of inflation or because of when banks stop printing fiat.
5831  Other / Meta / Re: 🏆 Bitcointalk Community Awards [Results of the Year + Quiz] on: December 24, 2020, 08:43:41 PM

5832  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHICH COIN IS THE NEXT ETHEREUM ? on: December 24, 2020, 08:30:27 PM
As for my opinion, there is no altcoin that can be like ether but there are some altcoins that will be be good for investing in recent time which its price will increase over time. Some of this coins that I even prefer to invest on are stellar lumen, cardina, and link. These three coins I prefer so much but that does not still mean they are like ether but will have price increase during bullrun like ether.
5833  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: December 24, 2020, 08:23:49 PM
This is a really tricky question. To me as the market is unstable I have cashout and will take a re-entrywhen the market will show a good signs like Good positive chart or some good news in mainstream market etc. Definitely looking for the charts to take entry into the market for short term trades but for the long term I think this is not the right time atlest below 24k.
I like your idea, normally very possible bitcoin could increase beyond $24000 but this is not yet the right time to hold, I have resorted to trading instead, I prefer margin trading because it is the best for now. I noticed the market do have sharp drop and great increase recently, that is just the benefit many good traders will turn into profit. I too will definitely prefer to just trade at this time instead of holding.
5834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is XRP worth buying in 2020, 2021, and beyond? on: December 24, 2020, 08:09:40 PM
I can only have few comments about ripple, ripple is a centralized or semi centralized coin, that is why it should not be advised to invest in it. With what has happened between the ripple CEO and SEC, I think ripple has lost its integrity. With what I think, it is very possible that ripple could decrease below $0.1 this time around before 2021 because investors are now afraid to invest in ripple. I for one sold my ripple already, because I think that the price will fall with time because of the recent allegation which is true about ripple CEO that sold $1.3 billion worth of ripple.
5835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase is going to delisting xrp? on: December 24, 2020, 07:41:35 PM
No I don't think big investors will easily lose their faith in XRP they will hold it even xrp got this bad news they can sell it but not in this price maybe they sold it already before the price decline or before sec officially announced it.
Maybe you do not know what is happening to ripple now, big investors are already selling ripple, that is what plunges ripple price to a very low price. Not only investors that are selling ripple but some exchanges have delisted it already. It is very possible for more exchanges to still delist ripple because the coin and ripple company has no trust again. I for one will not recommend ripple because if we can check it very well, even ripple blockchain is not decentralized, nothing is decentralized about ripple at all. If exchanges like coinbase delist it, it will it be a surprise.
5836  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's a 51% attack? on: December 24, 2020, 07:13:28 AM
There are many altcoins like bitcoin gold and ethereum classic that have suffered 51% attack before, you can read the links given above to understand what 51% attack is, but to just make it brief, it is an attack carried out by hackers to compromise the blockchain of a particular coin, they have their own miners that is powerful and make it centralized in a way to steal coins from people, in a 51% attack like ethereum classic attack (the same way it happens on other coins blockchain too), you can have ethereum classic on you wallet but all gone because of the attack.

Is the blockchain network really safe from this sort of attacks?
Did you mean the bitcoin blockchain? Bitcoin blockchian is safe from 51% attack. When the blockchain was not so strong like this before, no attack has occured on bitcoin blockchain before not to talk of when bitcoin blockchain is stronger and getting stronger.
5837  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transactions explanation on: December 24, 2020, 07:04:14 AM
Also it depends on the platform you are sending the bitcoin, if you send it on noncustodial wallet, you will see only one input, while the output can contain two address which one represent the recipient address and your unspent UTXO address. But while sending on exchanges and on custodial wallets, your input is summed together with other users input which will make it to be more than one.
5838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Electricity Consumption on: December 23, 2020, 09:05:02 PM
With what I know as fact, you can not compare old miners to new miners, old miners consume energy than the new miners while they are not also efficient like new miners. Also in the future, the companies producing the miners will found means of creating miners that still mine more efficiently but also with low energy consumption. This does not go to only miners but all mining hardwares that makes use of electricity will be created later in a way to work more effectively and with more work done.
5839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa's Bitcoin revolution is rapidly growing on: December 23, 2020, 08:59:04 PM
This should not be so surprising to see Africa growing so much while it comes to using cryptocurrencies as a means of payment, holding and making p2p transactions. Many of the Africa countries find it difficult to pay directly into another country while many comes with high payment fee, that is why many of the countries are now prefering cryptocurrencies as a means to solve these problems, especially because the payment comes with low transaction fees. Despite with the little development in Africa, there is still rapid development in crypto.
5840  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism | what %age should be allowed? on: December 23, 2020, 08:44:02 PM
Plagiarism is the sense of inadequacy and evidence of scam, a project supposed to be completely free of spam or plagiarism. If I read a project and see any plagiarism, I will simply just believe it is not safe and should not be followed. Most of the scam projects are plagiarized because many scammers do not want to have their time for writing such but plagiarising from other sources, if a project follow the way, then it is likely a scam.
