I'm wondering if Stunna also bet on his own site, whenever his bet is lose or win, he still keep the money

There is no reason for him to do so apart from keeping the volume high but then again PrimeDice got alot of high bettor daily that wager alot and it is highly unlikely that Stunna needs to manipulate volume.
Aside from that he got profit even without betting so there is no point for him to do this plus he got tons of support mail to solve  Cheesy. Apart from that Stunna is not the only "share holder" of PrimeDice so if he lose then he is not getting everything that he lost back to his pocket.
5842  Economy / Gambling / Re: Prcdice closed the investment feature on: August 05, 2015, 06:27:30 AM
Has PRC issued a update, why they have done this?

Dean has mentioned the reason that this is done (references below)

There's a few reasons I limited the investment:
1) I don't want to hold on to 5k Bitcoin of other peoples money, as mentioned before.
2) I want PRC to bankroll 100% and have no investors but I think it's best to do it in smaller steps so as not to have drastic changes.
3) The biggest concern for potential buyers is "Will the site be as popular without investment", I can get data on that if I bankroll myself.

#3 is most likely the reason why he is doing this as Dean has stated that he only wants a buyer that has funds to bankroll the site himself therefore the concern will be wether PRC will be as successful as it is now if there is no huge bankroll that is funded by the investor but then again the question will be how many BTC will Dean by able to fund this himself assuming all the investor has cashed out.
Plus there is no reason to invest in there because unless someone lost "huge" amount there and not "wager" alot then investor wont be getting profit though

Well, isn't the fact that he wants to sell the website the reason of reducing the investment? That's the only reasonable reason I have in mind.

This could be either the reason as he might want to cash the investor out little by little rather than making an immediate statement to cash them out in the future
5843  Economy / Services / Re: ----JAYCE DESIGNS---- Logo, Avatar, Signature, Banner, etc. on: August 04, 2015, 05:29:08 PM
I on behalf of BetterBets.io has made numerous request to Jayce , signature and banners mostly. Jayce never fail to deliver the request made and the best part of it will be that you can request changes if you deem that it is not good enough until you are satisfied with his work. Top notch work as always and this is a vouches from me Smiley

Another banner request has been made currently, Jayce you are free to put that your portfolio as well when you are done with it
5844  Economy / Gambling / Re: UK Gambling Commission says UK based sites need a license! on: August 04, 2015, 03:18:36 PM
-snip-

-snip-As a matter of fact there are 3-4 big and purely dice sites and none of them got an email so its probably that they don't consider dice sites to be a competitor.

This isnt correct at all unless you have the actual proof that these dice sites operator actually receive an email from the UK gambling commission.
Either way it could be that they are not getting any email or that they are refusing the request of the commission or perhaps it will be on y speculation that they are only hunting down unlicensed sportsbook since the UK players is more fond of sportsbook rather than the other form of gambling thus it will generate more "tax" for them either

-snip-

What about bitdice.me? They are a dice website and still don't allow UK players?

AFAIK they are now licensed/legal ( references below ) and I dont have any idea if they still dont provide their service to UK players. Plus that puts up some more suspicion that if the comission sent a letter to bitdice , how could PrimeDice slip away? Apart from the logical thought that Stunna refused to stop providing the service to UK players

Hello guys,

I've got the great news! As of 11/05/2015 BitDice.me has become a registered company on Costa Rica. Now, we are BitDice Casino S.L.R. with registration ID# 3-102-696267.
5845  Economy / Gambling / Re: UK Gambling Commission says UK based sites need a license! on: August 04, 2015, 11:10:43 AM
because it is not a competitor to any of the gambling sites as dice isn't a standard gambling game offered in fiat based sites.

If you are saying that they are chasing down "casinos" and not only dice sites then it is probably their intention but then again satoshibet hasnt close down their service to UK players , they couldn't possible slip out satoshibet. Also if you check on their letter that they sent to betmoose (references below)

Got a reply today:

Quote

You should note that section 33 of the Gambling Act 2005, which makes it a criminal offence to

provide facilities for gambling without an operating licence authorising that activity, applies if remote

gambling equipment is located in Great Britain, or if the facilities are capable of being used in Great

Britain. -snip-

Consequently, the fact that you do not have any hosting in the UK, do not market or advertise

to UK residents, and that your team do not reside in the UK, does not mean that a licence is not

required.

The first bolded part clearly indicates that means all form of "gambling" that a site offer and dice is one of them , also that PrimeDice is one of the biggest dice sites around so it cant be just slip away from their attention

The second bolded part clearly indicates that they are against every gambling sites without license which means they could / will take an action to all these unlicensed sites

All these indicates they are probably chasing down sportsbook only because most of their source of income comes from all these licensed sportsbook . So blocking all these unlicensed sportsbook will give them more income from tax as the sportsbook ethusiast will switch to a licensed sportsbook and thus generate more income to the sportsbook and more tax for the gambling commission
5846  Economy / Gambling / Re: UK Gambling Commission says UK based sites need a license! on: August 04, 2015, 10:47:32 AM
Can somebody explain to me why PrimeDice are still allowing UK players to bet? I'm assuming they found a loophole of some sort.

So far the one that is affected with this would only be a site that provide sportsbook betting and only 1 site without sportsbook that is affected ( FortuneJack ) which I speculate could be located in UK and/or hosted in UK therefore there are whole more reason to comply. Apart from that it seems no other "gambling sites" affected with this which leads to another speculation that the UK gambling commision is merely chasing down all these unlicensed sportsbook because it attracts a whole lot more UK player than a non sportsbook gambling site and/or that to force them to purchase the license

I doubt it, they probably just haven't had any contact from them yet.

Seems unlikely. PrimeDice is one of the biggest dice sites at the moment and it is unlikely that they are letting such huge site slips between their eyes

Depending on where PD is hosted there's probably not much anyone could do anyway.

Would love to see whats the next "threat" of this gambling commision if a site doesnt comply

From what I recall didn't Primedice close down to UK customers already ?
Did they reopen to UK customers ?

Oh really? I dont see any announcement from Stunna apart from they closed down their services to the USA based players

Give us a day or two to take care of this and all should be good.

Or three so that you guys could have some fun with family instead of spending 16+ hours daily  Cheesy

If Arallmuus is up for it, we may run another contest like last month for bet sniping if people are interested.

That would be nice but then again third month anniversary is 15 days away from today . That is quite a lot of days to think of something else rather than the last snipping bet. I would need to think of something to keep the suspense over then doing the same thing over and over again. Perhaps some contest to hit x9999 in plinko will be great since we need atleast someone to hit that  Wink

Read the OP for details or our FAQ @ https://betterbets.io/app/content/faq/

Or nicely ask me in chat or PM me  Smiley

Rolls are going very fast now for me. I'm at over 2 bets/s it looks like, which is awesome (especially considering most of mine are < 100 bits, and those are rate limited).

Everything is as smooth as usual  Smiley

stop it here, if i continue to argue, it will make more troubles, just leave it.

To be honest, Im not here to argue with you Smiley. Quoted your post just because some things needs to be cleared off. Im merely providing information about facts to what have been claimed in the previous posts because if those posts were to be seen by the trolls then you can expect there will be alot of fuss in the upcoming hours.
Besides such claims will only serves as a bad publicity for the site, therefore Im providing things to make it clearer so people wont ask the same question over and over again ( or keep on going to say the house edge is huge etc etc )

5849  Economy / Gambling / Re: Recently Reported. on: August 04, 2015, 07:42:08 AM
Definitely not because They are pretty much just providing a bad support service and that is all. This is a quite big site and there will be always people that wager there , so what they done is pretty much just leave the site and hope people will lose there without caring on their players . They do check on issues but not regularly ( after complaints )

Some references : http://dicesites.com/satoshidice

totally shows that the site still has some activities although the wagered amount seems to be lower, could be that they are either having a bad week or that some people are leaving because of their horrible support service and some not creditted deposit issue

Bad support is kinda abandoning ship.. if they really would want to keep it up and make some good profits their support should be alot faster..Their way of business atm is only losing current and potential players.

Not literally right. Some top sites have a bad support as well but that doesnt mean that they are abandoning the ship ( you must be aware of which one Im talking about ).
Having a bad support only means that you dont know how to run the site properly which might resulted in the loss of a few player but then for a site that has such big "reputation" and is on top of the google search for the SEO then you can expect there will be always playing coming in and out to play despite of all this lousy support

give it a month or something

For a lousy support like this ,a month is totally possible Cheesy
5850  Economy / Gambling / Re: ✔✔✔ block777.com | HUGE WEEKLY PRIZEPOOL | on: August 04, 2015, 07:32:48 AM
What is the house edge though?

If you would take some time just to read the OP then this question would not be needed. You are not playing against the house (literally )therefore there is no house edge as it only applies if you are playing against it. The correct word is "fee" and the game takes 1 % fee of the winnings.

Read more of this since you are not familiar with it ( I made a detailed explanation just incase someone like you dont understand )

i.e The winning pot has an amount of 1 BTC and Eligius is the pool that mined the xxx777 blocks

There are 3 addresses that bet on eligius to mined the block with the wager amount as the following

Address A : 0.01 BTC  >> 50 %
Address B : 0.005 BTC >> 25 %
Address C : 0.005 BTC >> 25 %

House takes 1% fee so 1 BTC x 1 % = 0.01 BTC and thats leave the pot with 0.99 BTC amount

0.99 BTC will be divided among the 3 addresses proportionally according to their wager so

Address A will receive 50 % x 0.99 BTC = 0.495 BTC
Address B will receive 25 % x 0.99 BTC = 0.2475 BTC
Address C will receive 25 % x 0.99 BTC = 0.2475 BTC

Because we determine your sending address by parsing the transaction we receive.

It will be neat if the site could make something like Direc*B*t which allow you to select the address to send to for the amount if you win. I find that both sites is kinda similar where you send your bet to an address thus there is a quite long waiting time before the "game" end. Having such system will encourage more bettors since it will allow some convenience for people to directly send from an exchanger or such

Disclaimer : no cross advertising intended , just making some examples there
5851  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best dice site(a game) on: August 04, 2015, 06:24:31 AM
IMO coinichiwa.com has faster bet speed.

Not anymore  Wink

but im not sure if they are still in good condition as of now xD

Pretty much yes they are still on top spot for the speed round. If you would to compare BetterBets to any dice site around here in term of speed then you would probably notice there is a whole different level of it. Although decision has been made to throttle some bets but still you will be always welcomed to test it and compare ( even to coinchiwa )

A word of advice would be try to use chea's bot ( references below )if you would like to measure the speed of the bet because the bot will automatically calculate the roll/1sec

references : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135816.0

On a side note, if possible could we just use Panjul's idea once this round is over? It will take weeks just to get a few result while on the other hand it could be done faster with his idea. You can make the voting round to be a month instead of a week if the voting will be based on his idea ( besides a month for whole categories is much faster than a week for one category )
5852  Economy / Gambling / Re: PlinkoPot.com BTC Plinko - <1% House Edge - Up to 999x - Tournament Starts 8/3 on: August 04, 2015, 06:12:52 AM
actually i am not telling you that you are a scam.

Technicallly you are not saying the site is scam but you are implying with a different words, "huge house edge"

but probability seems ridiculous based on what we have done.

If it is based on what "you" have "played" then it is ridicilously wrong because you know your data isnt accurate since your sample is only small number, variance could kill it

https://www.moneypot.com/users/lottery248

you know, provably fair is good to prevent manipulation

Wrong, provably fair is there to make manipulation much easier to be noticed if the house decided to do so ( thats literally different meaning ). It cant prevent manipulation because manipulation can still be done if no one notice it , like what 999dice did or skipping nonces ( which is quite hard to detect unless someone knows how provably fair work )

however, once the hash used, that hash will be forever and cannot be appeared again, if i guessed correctly.

Which hash are you looking for ? All hash and its secret will be reveal in your moneypot's BET ID

i.e https://www.moneypot.com/bets/58705810

i don't wanna argue, what i have said is based on someone's complaint.

Well but you did ! Anyway the house edge is recorded in Moneypot and there is no way the house could fake the edge. If the house edge is truly huge as what have been claimed then you would see such number in moneypot's BET ID as well but the fact is that the house edge is low industry standard and varies depending on your chosen board (my jackpot x999 board is 1.02 % edge btw )

5854  Economy / Gambling / Re: Can bitcoin casino go bankrupt? on: August 03, 2015, 04:34:52 PM
I guess bankroll management doesnt have any effect on bankruptcy

Wrong, bankroll management is a must. A proper kelly criterion should be followed and this is to ensure a high roller doesnt break the house in few split of bet thus this will be limiting the house's losses as well.

their bankroll depends on the wagered, the more wagered the site get the most income they get

Wrong, although the house has the edge over for the long run but it is not a guarantee that they house will keep on winning with the more people wagering there as there will be always a day or two where the house is completely out of luck so purely depends on the wagered status isnt right at all

and with a little development I think they wont be bankrupt

Wrong again, a site that put in poor development will not attract any player. Just take a look at how many poorly developed gambling site in this board that dont attract any player at all. Basically they just put their site on launch here and hope for the best which wont work here as there are alot more far better sites in almost every aspect

With an old gambling website that is likely to have a much larger bankroll, indeed the chances are pretty slim. This isn't the case with a newer gambling website, which is likely to have a much smaller bankroll. It is possible that variance could kill a newer gambling website.

AFAIK there will be only two conditions to not be "killed"

#1.  Use a proper kelly criterion ( posted in few post above )
#2.  Wagered volume.

Unless the house could secure a good betting volume constantly then the site will live even if is suffering on loss ( some new site has a good volume ). The sad thing is that just most people here tend to not give the new site a "chance" although some newer sites tend to be "better" apart from the trustworthyness ofc

the casino's trick is that they make you feel like you have a 50/50 shot of winning a hand of blackjack, but in reality you don't.

Right on the nail !

-snip- if -snip-

There isnt any need of the "IF" words there especially with something that highly unlikely going to happen and this will be just derailing the topic

That said there have been investment based casinos which have gone negative in profit, but if they have the bankroll to continue, then they will likely come back. For shorterm it can always happen.

Wrong, if the profit is going negative then the site needs more people to play and "LOSE" to recover which is what happen to most gambler. That is how the site will recover but if the site going negative and there isnt anyone playing and "losing" ofc then things will be on its opposite

I believe that he is stuck between two points:

1. If he would be totally silent, no updates and so on, the risk that some of you would take legal (or illegal) actions increases.
2. If he would be open, honestly saying what has happened and what's the situation now, regarding your money it would most likely be the same. The risk that some of you would take legal (or illegal) actions would increase.

Im afraid this wont be the case. Back then he was quite "popular" and lot of his fanboy will break up an arm or leg just to defend him when he was late with payment.
If he stated the "real" reason of all this delay few months ago , some people will just "forgive" him or whatever ( some people just dont have the right mind) but that thing has long gone anyway ( even I suspected this will still be the case though )

That was in May I believe, maybe End of April (?)

Middle of May IIRC ( I could be wrong on this)

What I want to say with that: In my opinion there won't happen anything without pressure.

A legal pressure is currently under arrangement ( references below)

Some will get hardware, some will get a "soon" and some won't but wait, because... some other got it. He can do this for a very long time.

Part of my speculations as well because by doing this he can keep this stalling tactics to keep on working

-snip-

For me this is much of about entertainment for now because I had got off from this "waiting" stuff by selling on loss ( Im happy with it rather than keep on waiting for uncertainty ). Some people just cant get the fact that this is a "scam" and legal issue needs to be taken . Probably because of his nice attitude before this "cloudmining" fell apart.

Also to pursue things legal, a Real identity is needed (bolded references below) and some people arent ready to go that far thus some tend to wait instead of taking legal action. Basically some thought that they are not losing anything either to keep on waiting more since they have waited for months ( yes 7+ months already ). Most are on the verge of "let it go" as what I've seen, even you can read few previous post that actually wont even care whatever happen even if they dont actually get the "magical hardware" and not even fuss when then Q&A is keep on being delayed

FYI from gethashing thread... https://forum.gethashing.com/t/not-paying-ltcgear-discussions/2031/3772

I'm going to post this here. https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=26244.0

I'm not going to have a discussion about it here though. A legal action is going to be started and anyone that is interested in participating in the action is required to provide their RL information.

If you do not plan to provide RL information (name, address, phone, email) do not fill out the form because it will not be sent to the lawyer.

If you do not plan to provide financial information for the case providing a paper trail of bank funded fiat to crypto currency exchange, fiat equivalent value of crypto in exchange for services rendered and a blockchain trail to purchased products at LTCGear you may not be able to participate in the action.

This form is for filing to participate in the action. It required RL information, and at this time only products that you own in your combined LTCGear accounts. The form can be updated in the future if you make and purchases or sales. This form will be up for approximately 2 weeks.

Request to participate in class action against LTCGear

*Note this this legal action does not necessarily mean that a lawsuit is taking place. The strategy for proceeding will be determined by legal counsel once we gather the initial participants.

that site still has problem to open in firefox when i tried to open this it went unresponsive suddenly for a long time, after 2 minutes of waiting i am able to access into my account so try resolve this issue with firefox.

Code:
ERR_SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH

The most possible way to know the leader board is by checking all participant's stats manualy one by one on moneypot

This isnt possible for several reason :

#1. You have no data about how many people that actually wager in the site because you couldnt monitor the site for 24/7

#2. Even if you know all user that wager during the tournament, you will need to note down their starting wager amount and deduct it later for
The final wagered amount ( some account should have wagered few bits on the site so the starting wager count will not be zero )

tl;dr : a simple script to count the total wager is the answer for this. Although rmcdermot might have got this already

Try our Jackpot Board - Up to 999x payout. (Thanks Arallmuus)

so your claim is not accurate.

Well , he is not claiming though much of like verifying

so yes, I would say that many bitcoin casinos could bust out pretty quick, as they don't have any institutional investors that are providing huge amounts of bankroll to bet against.

Huge amount of bankroll isnt the factor that decides if the BTC casinos could bankrupt or not because each a "proper" BTC casino follow the kelly criterion rules (mostly) . Even if a site has only 25 BTC as a bankroll, it doesnt matter unless the site put in a low kelly criterion like 0.5x or 1x of the edge .
This is to ensure that someone dont bust the house in an instance and without it, someone could bust the house in an instance even if the house got a huge bankroll ( assuming that guy is pretty lucky )

I was always told that regular casino games are rigged so that the casino never loses money

If you mean the land casinos then it is most likely no since they need license to operate and the chances are pretty slim for them to rig their games because there will be always an inspection

If the bitcoin casinos are using real random number generation then it is possible for them to
actually go bankrupt no?

Yes but the chances are pretty slim , close to zero unless someone manage to know the server seed ( like hufflepuff did and drained the bankroll ) . Each game is equipped with house edge to ensure the house will always win in the long run and although the house is losing but if there is still people playing then you can be sure the house will recoup its loses

Not a bitcoin casinos but just an example of the house that is losing right now

http://dicesites.com/bitdiceme/clam
