5862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling? on: May 14, 2020, 01:09:38 AM
In physical gambling (whether it's a big casino or just small gambling), do pressure on your opponents or playmates actually happen? Like for example, you only set a limited capital but since your friends still want to play, you will end up using all of your money. Or let's say in a casino, you have used all of your allotted money on gambling but since your opponent is winning and he wants to play more, do you exceed on your limit? Just because you don't want to look like you are afraid, that you don't have enough money already, and that you are losing?

Since I do online gambling, I don't feel this kind of pressure. I can stop whenever I want or when I have used all of my money. I don't feel embarrassed or what.

PS: I'm not sure if this topic already existed here and if there's I'm gonna delete this thread.

That is why there are a lot of loan sharks in the casinos or the casinos offer a credit line because there are players who will always fall to the temptation to play within their limit, and if you do not have the control you will likely end empty-handed or borrowing from loan sharks, this is why physical gambling casinos is riskier than playing online, because of the teasing that is going on between players.
5863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2020 be exactly what we hoped for anymore on: May 13, 2020, 07:04:19 PM
Good day friends and family on here, here are few questions disturbing my little mind since I wasn't expecting this virus this year, I thought this year will actually be the best since years ago, but it seems I'm wrong

1. Will Bitcoin halving have impact on crypto market this year with the virus outbreak?
2. Is Coronavirus benefiting crypto at all?
3. Will New projects be able to proceed with launching and development in this outbreak?
4. What do you think will happen to bounties this year ?

1. I'm very optimistic halving will have an effect the virus will soon go in a year's time and we have another four years before the next halving so many things are going to change, and one of this is the price
2. I'd like to think there's a positive effect because many companies and countries want to go cashless transactions.
3. It still depends on the potential of the project
4. It will still be the same, 90% are bad  projects
5864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did Covid-19 affect crypto gambling? on: May 13, 2020, 06:29:32 PM
As you know, Covid-19 caused serious economic problems in the whole world, and a lot of industries got affected even indirectly, simply because people may now have less money to spend.

Do you think crypto gambling is one of such industries? Gambling is an expensive form of entertainment, and I would assume people will be gambling much less if they have lost their jobs due to lockdown. Or maybe there are some factors that counter that - like maybe crypto gamblers have deep enough pockets to sit through this quarantine and keep gambling.

What do you think? What is your experience in these times?

We have no data to check what is the real picture but based on my observation, people still playing and will continue to play, it's not a world war scenario it's a stay home scenario, where people are locked in their home and they can do what they want to do they have all the time, it's all up on if they have the money to spend playing, I guess some have it, and some do not.
5865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you view an ICO project if it was launched by an accredited lawyer? on: May 13, 2020, 04:35:22 AM
Hey there everyone,

Just a curious question on the perception differences between a regular ICO and one that was run by an accredited lawyer - would that make a difference to you as in investor?

In the past, at the height of the ICO investment craze, I know that name dropping companies and "respected" individuals as advisors would almost be enough to convince investors who didn't know better.

Moreover, now there's a greater shift towards IEOs for scam prevention purposes with counter-party checks.

Just a curious question! Share your thoughts!

P.S. Yeah, I was one of those who invested in an ICO project called JET8 that currently has an ROI of -99.8% haha shoutout to anyone who flushed their money down this way.

There's no difference at all, there are a lot of crowdfunding with reputable name and organization behind the project, but failed miserably in the market and in their ICO, the project could be legit but it's not gaining support because the platform is not attractive or there is no usage for the coin, investors are wiser now, they want longevity of the project and what it can contribute to the community.
5866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Betting this June? on: May 13, 2020, 03:47:02 AM
This is Bob Arum speaking, he makes everything and anything possible in boxing, he has the money and the connection to make everybody involved so I think it will be successful, boxing fans are very hungry in live boxing and they are going to make money from pay per view they can even break the record if they have a good name in their cards, let's see how they are going to push this in the midst of the pandemic.

5868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 12, 2020, 03:27:40 AM
Don Johnson did not reach that level of expertise, without a long string of losses, yes he won that big amount and we have seen that but he did not divulge his exact losses, skills, and planning takes years to achieve, but there are gambling forms where you only to be in control and lucky to win the game, you can be a professional gambler but that does not guaranty winning huge amount.

5870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto casinos pros and cons on: May 11, 2020, 01:49:55 AM
Hi guys!

We are all here because we like playing with crypto Smiley
There are many advantages of gambling in crypto casinos, e.g. privacy and speed. Or something else?
But are there some disadvantages for you compared to fiat money casinos?

Cheers,
Karl

One of the advantages is you don't have to carry a lot of cash in your wallet and you also do not want a credit card to play in gambling casinos, in Crypto casinos who are working online, you can do it in the comfort of your home and it's like an investment to you too, if you win and it happens that the crypto you've won pump up, that's like hitting one stone with two birds.
5871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: WBC Explores Possibility Of Remote Scoring For Upcoming Fights on: May 10, 2020, 07:21:25 AM

I don't see any problem with scoring even if its online as long as people understands and accept the new system being in place.
This is just to give fights for the people during this pandemic, so I don't think people would still ask more or the normal one because this better than not being able to watch boxing at all, what the promoter has to ensure is the safety of the boxers and people involve, and this fight could take place.

There are a lot of issues in judging when the judges are live, the judges will only see to it, that the fight will be fair even if the fight is remote, some experts analysis proves that remote judging can be accurate because they can see the fight in a replay and in many angles, but of course, I want to see how things will go after at least five fights judging on the remote.
5872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Mayor Wants to Re-open Casinos. Thoughts? on: May 10, 2020, 04:19:52 AM
I have a thread about strict guidance and restriction its possible to reopen if they are already flattening the curve, but it should be under strict guidance like mandatory wearing of facemask and Faceshield, plastic and glasses or divider to minimize crowding in one location, they can think of a lot of guidance and restrictions as long as they can follow the health experts recommended protocols.
5873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Enhanced restriction in gambling casinos is it possible on: May 10, 2020, 03:28:50 AM
You can play at a slot machine on your own but you do not play on it exclusively. Players come and go at every slot machine. You may be a couple of meters apart from the nearest gambler but that button and that lever you are pressing and holding, respectively, have also been pressed and held by different people from the past minutes and hours. Chips change hands, cards passed on, and so on and so forth.

Therefore, it is possible but highly risky.

One included in the guidelines is disinfecting the slot machines after one gambler left, there should be a minimum number of people allowed in the playing room, every player in the room should have a mask a facemask and gloves to protect themselves and strictly implementing the one-meter physical distancing rule, of course, there should be a lot of people who will  watch and remind players of the rules from time to time
5874  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: May 10, 2020, 03:03:56 AM
I heard that some countries began to implement a plan to gradually launch the economy. And above all, industrial enterprises received work permits. I wonder when entertainment enterprises (casinos belong to them, I think) will receive similar permissions? This would help casino workers no longer depend on the goodwill of the government or employer.

Here in our country, we are gradually moving from enhanced quarantine to general quarantine on general quarantine businesses and other establishments can reopen but with strict restrictions and guidelines, could be possible with gambling casinos so they can allow their work to go to their work and earn a living.
5875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Enhanced restriction in gambling casinos is it possible on: May 10, 2020, 02:41:10 AM
There are boxing events that are being held, there are talks that some sporting events are going to push through with enhanced restrictions, is it possible with gambling casinos, of course, you can play a slot machine on your own, they just need spacing on every slot machine, on roulette games they can install glasses to avoid every bettor coming near to each, other so are on the other games .

Do you think it's possible for gambling casinos to open now with enhanced restriction and customized set up, what do you think ?
5876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: COVID-19 is helping to expand the crypto world on: May 10, 2020, 02:29:06 AM
COVID-19 has locked down the office, market, business even our life. People are passing idle time at home. Many people are now trying to engage in online job and online business. Many of them are being eager to invest in blockchain based investment platform like me. I was not so much interested about crypto world and would be always busy with my work. When I was lying at home day after day, I started to know about online investment. At a time I realized, cryptocurrency is the best for me to invest and now I am an investor on blockchain platform. So, I think, Corona Virus is encouraging people to invest in cryptocurrency and thereby helping to expand the crypto world.

What's you thought about it?

Average joes are not looking to invest right now they are looking more on how to secure their job and business and most of all how to keep safe in this pandemic if some guy liquidates his funds in other investment scheme or project, then Cryptocurrency is a good option to transfer his assets from other investment schemes he has because the Crypto market is one of the markets that quickly stabilize in the pandemic.
5877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Celebrities Will Have Seat in Poker Tournament for Covid-19 Charity on: May 10, 2020, 02:23:26 AM
This is a good initiatives and a good promotion for any poker company that's going to launch similar charity events like this, this pandemic has so many victims and this is the best and the right time for events like this, it will attract a lot of poker enthusiast and it will also drive other events to launch something like this, our country does not have a poker charity events like this we have a lot of poker players here I hope they launch one now.
5878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Before Experience On Gambling...!!!! Stay Safe. on: May 08, 2020, 10:17:20 PM
I have never experienced what you have gone through I am very discreet in my gambling online I see to it that all my children do not know that I'm gambling especially if they are of young age, never gambling in your bedtime, be sure you have a room only for you that you can gamble alone, preferable a study room or any place that had a door where people can knock
5879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Never trust an ICO ranking site! on: May 08, 2020, 02:01:21 PM
I'm looking at them but I'm not trusting 100% of their recommendation, although they are trying to be reputable again, there are a lot of parameters but rating sites should not be on top of your list of experts to recommend good projects.but surprisingly many projects are still doing it and wasting their money to get a good rating.
5880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: WBC Explores Possibility Of Remote Scoring For Upcoming Fights on: May 08, 2020, 01:54:37 PM
WBC (World Boxing Council) headed by Mauricio Sulaiman of Mexico, is thinking are explorer the possibility of using remote scoring if ever they will have a sanctioned bout in this Covid-19 pandemic.

Quote
The WBC is attempting to do its part to limit its number of onsite personnel. The “Remote Official Judging” rollout calls for its officials score WBC-sanctioned bouts either live from home or in a secluded area elsewhere, in lieu of being seated ringside on three separate sides of the ring as is normal industry standard. Judges will be required to wear headphones under such a plan, with the workflow as follows:

    - Judges access live video/audio of the fight
    - Judges and WBC Supervisor log into a secure WBC portal
    - Judges score each round in real-time
    - Commission and WBC Supervisor finalize results and hand to ring announcer
    - WBC Supervisor transposes electronic scores to hard copy master sheet
    - Scores feed to site admin consolidated report

Of course, there are still a lot of concerns here, but maybe, just maybe this will work if ever boxing will continue in this crisis. What do you guys think? Is this feasible?

Looks feasible to me as long as they can implement it correctly and the game will result is fair they can go on with it, people need to watch something entertaining while in lockdown and the sports events producers need to keep their business going, it's a win-win situation for all concerns.
