5862  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: RAFFLE FOR 99% JACKPOT (COST 1 BTC) on: April 18, 2012, 01:16:29 AM
Hi guys!  I figured I'd hold a raffle for a 99% jackpot!  Here's how it works.

0.99 BTC of each ticket goes to the jackpot (obviously)
0.005 BTC goes into the kickoff fund, meaning that is what I will start the jackpot at for the next draw.
I keep the rest

To play, send 1 BTC to the following address before April 25th 2012:
1Ngg55tK1txPF1RthYHmQLvAFKrD6SakAd

Your raffle number will be your post number (example: 2 if you have post #2)

Good Luck!  The prize will be awarded once I have all entry fees.
Define 'all entry fees'.

No shit, sherlock, it's just a joke Smiley

Also, good news: I've ordered parts for two more blue 1.3W lasers, and a 100mW green one. They should arrive within a week, two weeks max, but you never know with the postal service..

I'm also investigating how to offer a reliable 1.8-2W laser, because of the interest. I'd have to use a different host because it would need better heatsinking, and I'm not sure of the batteries either. Some CR123s can't handle the current draw. I'll get back to you guys.

Or one of those sexy survival lasers SS host?  Grin

a kevin bloody wilson fan lol, great nik. he he, afraid i allready went through bios, there is nothing for my ga-8I915G-MF, i have just a hdd and 3 fans, no other devices to keep it low on power as poss, i got the card running in another system with a 1kw psu 80+ rating, so a really good 500W should do it? i got my eye on a antec 600w its 80+ with the connectors i need.

As what I've said above, the minimum requirement is 650w. No idea the 600w would work or not, but you could test it out.

Too low to be true.

tl;dr: IT'S A SCAM!!
5870  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5970 power related questions. please answer fast on: April 17, 2012, 07:36:27 AM
ATI Radeon™ HD5970 System Requirements:

PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard

650 Watt or greater power supply with one 75 watt, 6-pin and one 150 watt, 8-pin PCI Express® power connectors

850 Watt power supply with two 75 watt 6-pin, and two 150 watt, 8-pin, PCI Express connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode
------------------------------------------------

Go for 800w I'd say, as the total power intake depends on other components in your system too.
5871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5970 power related questions. please answer fast on: April 17, 2012, 07:15:04 AM
Seems to be the underpowered PSU that's the problem. Go for a Gold rated, as high wattage as you can go PSU, preferably from antec. I personally use 1200w psu's regardless on how much GPU's I load in my systems.

See how his 'auction' goes before attempting to buy from him :

And how he attempted to cover this up by requesting a mod to delete his undeletable auction thread:

COIN WILL NOT SELL. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONTACT A MOD. SORRY FOR EVERYTHING. WILL NOT BE BOTHERING ANYMORE.

IF ANYONE LIKE THE COIN, AND WANTS TO MAKE AN OFFER, PM ME.

AGAIN, THANK YOU AND SORRY.

Trying to shut everything down when you're pointed out as a scammer?
5875  Other / Meta / Re: del on: April 17, 2012, 06:25:22 AM
Now he wants us to delete this thread, lol. So glad someone quoted the OP.

Could the mods check and see how many accounts do him have? I'm thinking this is yet another scammer who're plaguing the boards again.
5876  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [105% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: April 17, 2012, 03:08:03 AM
LP is being kinda slow.

Edit:

That was what my miners said too. Hence the 3~% reject rate  Sad
5877  Other / Meta / Re: Mod Please Help Me on: April 17, 2012, 02:33:33 AM
Wow, nice coin.
I bid 2BTC shipped to CA.

^ he probably forgot to log out his current account lol

Dumb scammer is dumb and doesn't know how to use 1 browser per account?

I see you said he was lolwut on the auction thread.
I can say I bought a Kindle Fire from lolwut and the deal went smooth. Maybe a carder, but not a scammer Grin At least the Amazon registration of the Kindle Fire didn't ring any bells so far lol

Not me, I didn't say that lolwut was his other account. Kluge said that:

Wow, nice coin.
I bid 2BTC shipped to CA.

 Undecided
Any idea which of their accounts this was supposed to come from?  Just curious.
I lean toward lolwut, who, IIRC (and if I'm not, I apologize), is a sockpuppet in an group of at least two other accounts (gamer81592 or something, and the fellow claiming to be giving away a $500 Amazon card). There's also the fellow selling a laptop ~$150 more than you could grab the same model (I made a post in the relevant thread, but decided it was in bad taste) @ Sears, while claiming it's 2x retail, giving a queer explanation his dad buys them.

Anyhoo, seems a good place to note I do free escrow service. - And I retract all bids in case the deal falls through between Jurema and himself.

Alright, I moved it up.

Thanks for the move; this saved me a couple more clicks now  Grin
5879  Other / Meta / Re: Mod Please Help Me on: April 17, 2012, 01:32:50 AM
You can lock the thread yourself.  I don't recommend auctioning off stuff on this forum, there are better sites for such things.  But if you do, be explicit about your end time and reserve price.

He is attempting to scam by having multiple accounts to bid on his own items:

Wow, nice coin.
I bid 2BTC shipped to CA.

^ he probably forgot to log out his current account lol
5880  Other / Meta / Re: Mod Please Help Me on: April 17, 2012, 01:24:02 AM
LOL @ the attempted scam. What's that account you're trying to post from?
