5861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No exchange? No Value! on: July 11, 2020, 10:54:01 AM
So I bought an altcoin called batcoin from a cryptocurrency exchange website. I even withdrew all my coins to an offline wallet, because I don't exactly trust exchange websites. However, the exchange it was listed is now gone, due to a hack.

So now I am stuck with coins that have no value.  Undecided
I hold lots of coins and tokens which were listed on many exchanges before but now on exchange is listing them; I mean even there was no hack on that particular exchange, if you would have invested into a shity project then there could be no one to help you on this kind of problems. This is the reason, people do always emphasize about investing only through out money; so that you could bear the losses even it may happen unexpected after your due diligence.

You may not have any big options left in front of you expect keep waiting for some new exchange to list your coin; Just move and and focus on another good coin to invest and recover all your losses along with some profits. Crypto life must keep going like this. There are unlimited opportunities and you bother your one loss then you might miss another multi-fold opportunities.
5862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ask about DeFi this year on: July 11, 2020, 10:18:34 AM
OP is talking about one particular project which may come under the defi category but I am not ready to analyze them just because it is dealing with finance sector. Already most altcoins/tokens are gaining their value only only due to speculative reasons and adding to that another layer of cosmetic thing in the name of finance, is not at all going to work even in short run.

I just want to know what these new defi category is going to bring for us. I mean already we are having projects to address all possible real world problems and among them what is missing and how these defi things are going to address them. In my eyes these are just another fancy things to lure investors.

If these defi things get power to survive for another 1 or two years by really having reasons to exist with us, I guess I may start showing interest to them. Till then I may remaining busy with my usual category of coins and tokens against stablecoins.
5863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TikTok PUMPS Dogecoin Cryptocurrency | ÐOGE going to $1?!!! on: July 11, 2020, 09:17:06 AM
$1 per dogecoin is 0.00010810 BTC which is approximately 270 times higher than current value. Did we have any coin grown ~250x in rocket speed? Yes, there were but most of them are having BTC like supply or 5 or 10 times higher circulating supply whereas dogcoin's supply model of infinity supply and 125 billion makes it highly impossible. Even it manages to reach there it may may not hold even for hours; heavy immediate dumps will be followed.

So, forever $1 per dogecoin is impossible? No, it is possible by progressive growth. It might need to attract long term holders and must have good infrastructure for spending (in some perspective it is already being accepted by almost all crypto gambling houses; still its heavy supply spoiling its unit value).

At some point of time, RDD was trading at 1 satoshi and Doge was trading around 15 satoshi. But, by 2018 beginning RDD peaked toward 200 satoshi level which made be leaving some portion of my long holding dogecoins as RDD is POS hence I may collect extra coins after what I bought. If Dogecoin is having at least POS feature, I might have got some good returns as I am holding it since 2014.
5864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Know what you getting into on: July 11, 2020, 08:45:52 AM
It takes time to make money in crypto space, some people called Ethereum and ripple a shitcoin years back, what happened to this coins today? They are big enough to be on top 5 lists, you can still spot new gems but It depends on how good you are with research and most importantly, nothing is guaranteed in this space, loses will come, if you don't put in some patience you will be forced into panic mode and that's all it take to freak out and sell for loss, understand what you getting into, it's not impossible but definitely not a straight road.
What list you are referring to? Marketcap listing? That is a big trap to make to make you deceived while you are rushing for altcoin investments. Agree or not both the coins that you have mentioned as shitcoins compared to bitcoins. XRP is still a shit and may get bankrupted at any time while ethereum is struggling against its competitors due to unable to cope with their own roadmaps (it is good to be steady while achieving your goals but when other devs are copying your plans, you might need to react rather than delaying with your own ideas).

I have mentioned many times here on this altcoin board about not get into corporate coins, XRP must be one of them. We are getting at least one topic about XRP/Ripple corporation for every week which makes people interested on them regardless of their background.

Marketcap listing/ranking are highly manipulated one. Do not make your investments based on that.
5865  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Keeping it's limitaion Between 9--10K on: July 11, 2020, 08:01:35 AM
I'm not sure how the Christmas season brought a change in the market flows but probably we can see some huge pumps on it as the demand will move. Things that are mostly happening during that time.
Even almost half of the year left for Christmas and New Year times, like most others I am as well eagerly waiting for that as there are plenty of chances for bulls to be in full swing action. We are all expecting bullish mode right away that is the reason we are unable to enjoy the current stable prices of bitcoin. It is very rare that bitcoin to be trading within some range and due to slow economy conditions of worldwide, probably we are having relatively stable prices for bitcoins.

Also i won't wonder if bitcoin dump into $8.5k because bitcoin needs a correction of 15-30% from the events of halving and $8.5k price is one of that zone where we can see bitcoin for the correction. After that ,we might see the bull market of Bitcoin, IMO.
I remember after halving, bitcoin has tested $8.5k levels more than once, right? I agree we must need a bull back to march forward and these types of corrections are usually following fibonacci replacements; not sure your 15-30% of corrections falls within that, still I guess we have passed the times of corrections and now it is time for getting launched to $11k zone.
5866  Economy / Economics / Re: Countries and their own cryptocurrency! on: July 10, 2020, 08:14:10 PM
Introduction of cryptocurrencies and bitcoin won't bring any employment to your nation so it is not going to give any immediate solution to current pandemic situation. And we are talking about government controlled cryptos which are not really cryptos because they use centralized blockchain so it is not much different from digital fiat and banking transfer, every transaction will be noticed by your government.
Well, there could be "some" employment, for example if governments make cryptocurrency for themselves that would mean that people would be able to start up business' a lot easier and a lot more frequently about that crypto currency that government created, plus there will be government positions because there will be crypto branch as well. So yeah it wouldn't be huge, it would be small, but we are talking about like 10-20 thousand people finding a job in that sector as well.

So, what I believe is going on would be employment is not really a big part of the deal but if governments do something like this and make it super legal and supported, that would mean people could work for other nations companies on remote jobs and earn bitcoin instead and wouldn't that make things a lot easier?
5867  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else see a big bitcoin upwards movement coming very soon? on: July 10, 2020, 07:21:23 PM
The drop is not really cool I know, from $9.4k levels to $9.1k levels is not a good move and doesn't look to be suggesting bull run at all. At the end of the day we are not going to know whats going to happen until it happens, it is going to be a tough few weeks once again, it is hard to be in this middle section where it is not going any direction at all.

Hopefully we are going to see that change one day, and hopefully that will be soon. You can't just expect bitcoin to be stable and stay at around 9-10k range forever right? It has to go down or go up eventually and when that moment comes we are going to see a lot of people trading once again. Lets hope that times comes quickly because a lot of people are bored once again. This resembles late 2018 once again when everyone just got super tired of the same numbers and stopped trading.
5868  Economy / Economics / Re: South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus on: July 10, 2020, 06:01:38 PM
Sure you can make it all digital, but remember the old people as well, they are not good with technology. It is really quite difficult to live after a certain age, and I am not saying difficult to manage digital payments, it is difficult to "live" after a while, they are just surviving rest of their days, I have a grandparent that is like that right now but she is lucky that my mother is taking care of them.

Hence, it is not really that easy to handle non-cash stuff, when you are saying stuff like "we should all be in crypto by now" you are forgetting that these people are also the same people that fail to withdraw cash from ATM's, so to expect them to use a mobile phone would be insane. It means burning cash is still valid as long as you print new ones on the same amount.
5869  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible solution for economic go-slow on: July 10, 2020, 05:29:24 PM
Best type of solution is to get the huge companies that has 70k+ workers and 5+ billion in revenue to end up paying a lot more taxes while spending money to people who need it the most. That way you would be having people who are not super poor and homeless and unemployed and single parent with a job that has hard time putting food on the table etc etc.

You would have less poor and the upside wouldn't change too much neither, instead of having a billion dollars in profit, you would just have 700 million in profit, that is not bad at all and you would still have companies making a ton of profit and that would be enough for you as a company anyway. But nooooo, that is not capitalist enough, you need companies making 100 gazillion dollar profit even if means 50 million people live under poverty level.
5870  Economy / Economics / Re: Government+cryptocurrencies on: July 10, 2020, 04:37:51 PM
Honestly I do not see that type of war against crypto by the governments. They are making it more legal nowadays and truth be told huge corporations get into it as well, if not crypto at least blockchain and that means that these are the people who bribe politicians that will go into that type of situation.

This is why I think it is quite important that we realize there is an opportunity here for the small investors as well, if you take that into consideration and you manage to make it something like a way to make some income from it like those big ones are making, that means you would be capable of doing what the big ones that bribe politicians for without spending any money of your own to get governments leave you alone. That is at least what I think is going on, maybe I am wrong who knows.
5871  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜— Funniest casino dealer memes 🤣 on: July 10, 2020, 04:12:01 PM
A great way to chill out is to have a burst of great laughter Cheesy Right?

Well, we have a funny blog post for you: Funniest casino dealer memes.

Have a look and reply with your favorite one.
Some of them were not funny at all, some of them were quite funny Smiley I have to say bitcasino is trying to keep it light and trying to get the attention away from how serious gambling normally is. That is one of the problems with gamblers nowadays, they take it too seriously, they look at it like a job, or they see it as a money making opportunity.

Back in the day when gambling was a lot more common all around the world, people would go to casinos like they go to cinemas or theaters and so forth, they would go there because drinks were free if you get over certain amount of chips (win or lose in the end) and you would just go there with friends, break over 100 bucks into chips (this was a good amount in 80's ) and drink and have fun and just all around entertainment for the group, then some would win and some would lose and you would all go home. I wish that "fun" aspect of casino world would come back instead of this "oh I wrote a script that does TGUQWES system very well that I am sure will make everyone money and bankrupt the casino" type of thinking.
5872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 10, 2020, 03:27:00 PM
To be honest I have worked in hotels before and I can tell you that when you do arrange a big group staying and you arrange their food beforehand, whoever made the arrangement requests for the food before hand, so it is not a shock that they got this. Hotel just provides you with whatever was asked, this means problem has to be with NBA. If you asked to be delivered New York steak with fancy salad and amazing drinks with great sides, you WILL get that, and if players are not paying for their stay, and if teams are not paying for the stay, that means NBA is paying for the stay itself and they wanted to cause it to cost a lot less.

I am sure this is also arranged food, so if you are in hotel and do not like the food you get, you can always order room service and pay as well. I do not see it as big of a problem as it is made out to be. You really think they can't just call room service and order a big cheeseburger with fries on the side? Of course they can.

Even the lottery is not something that you will win everyday. It also depends on your luck. You may buy the lucky number of tickets or just one ticket, the person winning it is random and so the chances are small too, otherwise it would not be a lottery at all. Grin

All is luck and fortune really. I have heard of people who win the lottery again and again. Statistically, your odds simply never change when you win or lose. You are just as likely to win in every draw, depending on the number of people who play.

Won the lottery here once, and currently on another attempt to break my own record for most tickets won in a round;)
The weird part is, you are paying for the house edge a bit higher as mentioned before but you guys realize that with the lottery and with the reward points you are literally paying less house edge. But the logic is, most people will have to lose in order for fewer people who win the lottery to win.

So, you are risking house edge (and not even money, you can still win) for a chance for lottery. That s why people keep saying that for the lottery ticket you are paying with your house edge. There is really no other website that could be this awesome when it comes to giving away stuff, lottery is not something you have to pay for, of course you can pay for it, but you could literally claim free faucet AND also get free ticket and you can win from them both at the same time, unbelievable.
5874  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: July 09, 2020, 06:31:11 PM
We thought about that but its not as simple as it seems there is a lot of infrastructure needed to stream that 24/7

But who knows maybe one day Smiley
I would say not doing it wouldn't really be a down for you guys, live dealer thing looks and sounds really unnecessary if you ask me. Sure there could be some people that may want to play there but the whole cost of running one versus how much you can make from it doesn't really look like it justifies it.

I am not even talking about capital required to first establish something like that which would be a huge investment but we know stake, you guys have money, and can afford to build it, however there is also a constant cost of the dealers, let's say you have 5 tables, there needs to be around 15 people working on them on 8 hour shifts and that is with breaks (sometimes you drop to 3 or 4 tables when other one gives a break) so we are talking about 15 salaries, plus some management at their top as well, that is 18 salaries. I doubt it would be THAT profitable if you ask me.
5875  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stock to flow showing we are at the start of a Bull Run on: July 09, 2020, 06:17:42 PM
I feel like this pandemic stopped or postponed our going higher because if it wasn't for the pandemic, the price wouldn't fall and if it didn't fall that halving would have had a bigger impact. I feel like this halving will eventually show itself however I also think that it won't be that quick, it will take some time before it can show its power and during 2021 it will become more inevitable that bitcoin price will definitely go up, not just up a bit, but it will go up too much like 20k+ levels.

Because we are talking about a situation where miners are getting a lot less every single day and covering that difference to keep the price at bay will take a lot of money and eventually people who are doing that will stop because it would cost them more to do that and profit than let it be and profit.
5876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Q2 2020 Performance - Price Gained 78% from March's Plunge on: July 09, 2020, 05:32:22 PM
Investing into crypto is a new method that a lot more people are interested in, however do not underestimate people who are looking into making more money and getting paid in bitcoin as well. This is why I believe there was more people during this pandemic period that was not only investing into bitcoin, but also trying to find jobs that pay in bitcoin as well, it also opens up the whole world to you because you can get a job from a foreign country and get paid in bitcoin in your country.

This specially helps out a lot to people who live in poorer countries because when you pay them 500 bucks they will live a decent life whereas people who live in USA would ask for 10x that much for a decent life, hence I think bitcoin payment is a big part of our culture after the pandemic.
5877  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Automation Nowadays on: July 09, 2020, 05:00:39 PM
What happens when the software loses money? Because, let's assume I start with 100 dollars, the software allows me to earn 50 dollars and you get 25 dollars back. That means I am back with 125 dollars which is a great thing about the bot, however what if I drop from 100 dollars to 80 dollars? And I get to be 100 dollars again yet you take out 10 dollars from it, so I am back to 90 dollars and a loss again.

So, I would say if you could clear that part up, I think this could be a good project, after all people all want to try out a free bot, and free bots are usually bad, so this is as close to a free bot as it gets, yet you need to make it clear for what happens when someone loses money as well, that way they would know if they could make money with it, or end up losing more than it earns.
5878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin whales are multiplying—while also getting poorer on: July 09, 2020, 04:27:41 PM
I think this has something to do with the fact that some rich people realized that bitcoin managed to recover faster than everything else, so they got into bitcoin world after the big drop. That means whenever there is a big drop, they get into bitcoin, but eventually when it goes up, they sell and move to more traditional investments.

I do not care if they get in, I care if they stay, and I feel like maybe there is a reason why they didn't stay back in the day and maybe they will stay this time around? If that happens it would be great. All in all this number will not be anything important right now, it will be important in the long run, if we get to see them stay that will mean a lot, if they leave that means that this was for nothing and nothing to be excited about in the end.
5879  Economy / Speculation / Re: There are positive signs in the movement of bitcoin prices on: July 09, 2020, 03:48:55 PM
I think keeping that support and resistance levels at your mind, it is also quite important to remember how easy it is to break them. We are literally breaking over resistance levels daily and going under support levels daily as well. Remember during pandemic it moved from $9k to $3.6k at the bottom in 5 hours, that is how long it took to drop the bitcoin price, and remember it was around $3k and went to $20k in a month, that is how easy it is to break over the resistance.

So, yes they are important for day trading, but in the long term they are useless and can't stop anything at all in any direction. Looks like it is a bit bull right now and I feel like it will definitely go over $10k this month, but this is not because of resistance level, that is because population inflation and that's it.
5880  Economy / Speculation / Re: technical analysis of Bitcoin prices on: July 09, 2020, 03:00:05 PM
Seems your resistance level of $9392 was broken and holding around it, does it mean we are getting ready to launch toward your next resistance level of $10,000? Or do you miss another mid point here? I am expecting another pull back around $9800 levels if markets got power to pass $9500 levels from here; due to various social media hype, it seems new investors are checking crypto markets right now, it could be the reason why we are experiencing moderate bull run right now.

The good thing is, we are able to hold above $9000 levels and at the same time, it is really frustrating to experience a market like what we had by the times of 2016; even a $50 movement also seems too big right now but by the times of before pandemic we had daily $500 to $1000 movements are casual and almost everyday. I mean market's wild liquidations are missing or market is holding stronger and inching toward bullish side regardless of lack of new investors; not sure what is going on right now; but these are too boring days tbh.
