5881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks [history] on: August 14, 2020, 07:22:57 AM
however, investors are losing money because of their incompetence.
Aside from the bugs and developer's incompetence. I dont think we should shift the blame on them alone. There is also some problem on the side of investors. They just keep jumping off any defi projects that they will saw without much any knowledge on the tech and its function. Im sure 2 of these defi projects have been bought by fomo squads. Definitely when they already on rekt mode, they will spat scam on these. Typical but thats how the cycle rolls and curve will likely be a hot token for being listed on Binance.
5882  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best way to avoid high transaction fee on: August 14, 2020, 07:11:52 AM
I thought crypto stood for convenience and low cost to send money around. I think using the ethgasstation will at least help.
There is no perfect on any innovations. You can say this is the cons of a larger blockchain that is likely congested or been overused. Just most likely suggested avoid making any transaction at the moment if its not that important cause you only will be dissapointed with fees on eth and even bitcoin.

But when Ive used my exchange wallet to transfer fund the fee is not that high. Maybe it was because the wallet is a segwit. For eth, Im not sure maybe on the wallet you are using some wallet have high fees but if you used normal mew with an option to change gwei values then its better than dApps automatically applied huge network fees.
5883  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: IDAX Scam Exchange on: August 14, 2020, 06:51:58 AM
This exchange turned to a scam in the last year and project team said that CEO of Idax just stole Cold wallet with all funds and th y can't reach to him.
This is a petty reason actually. Suddenly the CEO gone and the money is with him making the exchange crippled. I dont buy it, since its so easy to say/act on this kind of babble.

I remember this project also called MiracleTele, only the difference is their CEO resigned making the project employees followed.

Lesson learned. If you heard unrealistic reason then get your funds out immediately meaning the exchange or project is gonna do an exit scam.
5884  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Your Opinion about JellySwap Wallet on: August 14, 2020, 05:32:36 AM
But how do we know they're swapping and not using a third-party provider like Changelly? Is there no way to easily verify it?
Not sure how to verify it. But probably if we did some transaction we can see from the explorer if the funds  have been directed to/on another exchange.

This is technically not a Bitcoin wallet, but more like an exchange for swapping Bitcoins for ethereum and other altcoins.
There are some wallets that able to add exchange feature. Since we can retrieved back up phrase for this, somehow I believe its partly called a wallet but you are right the function works like an exchangw but technical term appropriate is dApp.

Any idea if we can use some hardware wallet here like Trezor hardware wallet? Like if we want to make transaction to our harware wallet with this crosschain atomic swap?
If you connect metamask like most dApps, you can used to exchange it but interesting question since we are gonna used a hardwallet for transaction. As of now, only ledger is the only hardwallet I can see supported.

Will try soon to get more clarity on this.
5885  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Your Opinion about JellySwap on: August 13, 2020, 02:04:25 PM
Ive just stumbled upon this wallet due to the ICO I am following since they will integrate their blockchain into this wallet once their mainnet is live.

It is called JellySwap its a crosschain atomic swap type of wallet. Now Ive never know any decentralized non custodial wallet that integrates crosschain dApps aside from this. But I found it very interesting and its an open source. [1]Github.

Now upon checking on it.

They are now supporting 6 different coins/tokens at the moment on their [2]dapp wallet.

1. Bitcoin
2. Ethereum
3. Aeternity
4. Wrapped Bitcoin
5. DAI
6. USDC

Now you can connect your wallet or create an account. They currently supported for bitcoin are brainwallet and Ledger while for the ethereum and non bitcoin coin/tokens you can used metamask, torus and connectwallet. Ive checked the details on this [3]article.

Now well regards to feedback not so sure how many users does this wallet had already. But I appreciate if some of you here can give your thoughts on this.

Disclaimer: Not affiliated with this wallet. Just amazed by the crosschain accesibility between bitcoin and none bitcoin blockchains. Usually I normally find third party wallet with eth to erc20 only.

5886  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How you can earn money from bitcointalk.org? on: August 13, 2020, 01:19:59 PM
Currently I benefited from the first three you mentioned but never yet on the services. Im really look up to those who are having their services here like signature codes, logo, design, ann thread creation, even art services and many more.

Bounty campaign is not worth it, only wasting your time with worthless coins, avoid it.
Isnt signature campaign considered as type of bounty campaign? No offense, I beg to disagree with you. Im doing campaign too, but I assure you Im not wasting anytime, maybe its true for some projects. But it depends on the project you pick and searched. I can say that because I did earned from it in the past and even now.

Having skill is one factor and a solid asset of a user but I think using that could benefited us on some campaign that are worth too. Anyway, just my opinion.

See? Im glad that you feel movtivated on my response. Your already a full rank member Congratulations OP.  I think this your third poem right? I do hope most newbies will do what you can achieved here on their own ways. It took you awhile to go rank but it doesnt matter its never been the point of what youre doing right? Now you can wear cool avatar. Maybe you can put up some avatar that depicts your poem.

but why post it in meta when two of your poems posted or probably moved on beginners and help?
Just move it up OP to BH section like your other poems. Its suited there in my opinion.
5889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap discussion on: August 13, 2020, 06:10:08 AM
Know what the future will be like: through cross-chain platforms, this protocol will support the decentralized exchange of any cryptocurrency, regardless of blockchain technology.
The news on the 11m USD dollar isnt shocking as unsiwap can easily raised the mentioned fund. What Im excited is the integration of the cross-chain platform throughout the entire blcockhain networks. But this will be a huge task. But knowing uniswap probably they can pulled of its development. Imagine the traffic it brought to the ethereum network, and even the hike of gas fee. Im sure this will be lessen once all blockchain is working already on a single hub.

You posted this in the wrong section I think this is announcements not discussions.
OP isnt part of Uniswap and I believe this thread is perfectly fine here. Im not sure if there is or none announcement thread yet of uniswap here but if none. They are the one should be posting it unless OP is tapped to do the official post for uniswap.
5890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is merit and why do some people have up to thousands? on: August 13, 2020, 05:29:44 AM
I wanted to add you some merit but unfortunately looking at your post history. it's only full of bounty reports which add zero value to the forum.
I remember when my profile are all consist of those reports. It took me a while to realize the forum greatness. I think its too early to judge bounty and airdrop hunters cause I see myself with them before.

Some could actually changed but Im not expecting all of them would realize that. Since he is still a newbie, Im not gonna judge him so easily but instead teach him the proper while it still early.
5891  Other / Meta / Re: If I find many spammers in a thread should I report each one of them? on: August 13, 2020, 04:53:57 AM
I wouldn't bother reporting all of those spammy responses individually,
Is it worth it to report the spammers on that thread individually since the OP is a spam thread I think what you suggest is fine already since the mods will likely check the consecutive response even without any reports on the succedding replies right?

Or typically they just focus only on the reported post that reflect on their system?

By the way nice catch OP help the forum by reporting this kind of posts. Make it a habit to report every now and then any spam post that you will see. Good job!
5892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading without setting stop loss (Risky or Not)? on: August 12, 2020, 06:51:40 AM
The only time I set stop loss is when the btc price exceed my order price. So i wont be scared or the price going back and also there won't be chance for lose anymore.
I found that this idea has been working well for me so far . And its a good way to trade for me as I've seen so far.

Thats the idea of using SL. We have the same tactics and I believe mostly traders are doing so. Once the entry price exceed far you can set the stop loss above this price and its already guaranteed you no loss ( but of course you will bear some fee though). Ive always activate it when I am already at peace with the current movement.

But of course you dont want to lose some chance when your SL has been hit due to minor tick of the market then go up again. It happened to me so many times, I save my position above my entry price and seeing it was hit for a little drop closing my position then gaining again. Thats one thing youve missed maybe a little additional risk is necessary stay on the leverage.

But for some rush hour( market drop and surge fast) you cant aniticipate this and will have no chance to set up a good SL either cut loss or chasing zero losses.
5893  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't be a crypto sheep on: August 12, 2020, 06:30:34 AM
Investment is really risky. I could say that altcoins has a pros and cons and newbies who follow other's game usually end up losing.

If you haven't got enough time to research then "Bitcoin" is the best option for you.
We all knew that bitcoin has more chance of staying alive over the next few years. But an investor would likely to risk for some profits. Altcoin projects is really a wide range of selection and the moment you stepped on a trap then your money will be gone. But people knows what their doing get rewarded fairly by doing a good homework on these altcoins.

I suggest instead of betting luck on some altcoins that you are not confident to invest with. Why not learn the concept of trading which could extend your knowledge about market approach than simply risking on shitcoins.
5894  Economy / Economics / Re: Are people losing faith from centralized organizations? on: August 12, 2020, 06:08:16 AM
In my country. People losing the sole faith on government due to the rubbish decision that has made for the past few months due to covid19 situation. But as far as I can see the reason people are withdrawing their money is for the necessities that needed to purchase. I cant say losing my interest on banks as I still have 60% of my funds locked out there.

Most response here have the same sentiment about it. Im curious if there is an actual survey per country if we could gathered an accurate result for a question like "Do you like centralized bank or new trend of decentralized crypto"? Maybe we can still have a score of 70% favor of banks cause people will never drop a long time tradition on using financial institution like banks.
5895  Economy / Reputation / Re: Just hit Legendary. Great achievement to me. Long path. :) on: August 12, 2020, 05:45:59 AM
Congratulations bitmover another milestone achievement for you.

Now, let's wait and see what are the new ranks that theymos will bring us in the future Smiley
So youre in favor of having a new rank next to legendary. I think Mythical would be sound great like in Mobile legend.
5896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avalanche Dedicated thread for news, discussion and update. on: August 12, 2020, 05:24:41 AM
Is there an official thread of Avalanche in this forum? if there is please provide the link here.
Hello if you read few post above you I think Im sure, I did posted it.

Hello there is an official Avalanche thread. Here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5245143.0 it was posted by Hhampuz

Yeah they have their community hub program. Its still running and their product exchange for avax erc20 token to avax native token is really have a good value. They dont launched any campaign here but I believe 1miau shared this to the bounty section.

Plenty of time to join their program its not a typical campaign but a really good way to earn avax tokens. But do hope they launch a bounty here also, maybe in the future.

But a whooping 50% discount?
Thats enticing bonus but not really good approach as marketing.

It was posted on 8 AUG. Since then, the OP has been offline. Both coupable and Slow death asked for clarification what Primary Exchange is all about and OP didn't yet find time to address these concerns.
One thing about legit project is their ability to communicate. The inquiry is not hard to answer but given they are just created an ANN for publicity is merely a display or method to market their project. This is too shallow, that would definitely not gonna work on scam busters here.

5900  Other / Meta / Re: Where to post asking if anyone is interested in starting a "project" together? on: August 11, 2020, 07:03:27 AM

I am not sure that is appropriate. Going by the sticky thread started by Mitchell, it clearly states that Project Development is for Bitcoin-related projects and services. Anything related to altcoins or ICOs should be posted in Alternate cryptocurrencies. I am not sure how the rule is implemented in practice and if the admins turn a blind eye, but that's what it says.

Actually not sure yet what is the idea of OP since he never leave any clue or hint. But since vod offered to give some feedback on OP maybe its better if OP will contact some expert first via pm rather than creating any topic to any section deemed appropriate. But you are right, that section is purely for bitcoin development. Just happened to see a lot of new ideas thread discuss with mixed of bitcoin and other altcoins. Like for example an exchange or trading services package that still exist there. (Or maybe mods not yet seeing those thread to take action, not sure.)
