Anyone have an archive of chodpaba's posts? I would like to review what he had to say about volatility over the years. I seem to recall him predicting drops like this for a long time to come.
https://bitcointa.lk/search/33634/I thought he/she had deleted most of his/her posts and threads at the time of leaving. It's nice to see that some remain. Chodpaba was always one of the more thoughtful and insightful posters here even if some did not always agree.

Just wait until the Big Bull Whale throws his weight around. The Bearwhale won't stand a chance. There's a lot more fiat available to drive the price up than bitcoins to drive the price down. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi664.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv10%2FJimboToronto%2Fbigwhale.jpg&t=663&c=4slZIupuIlOPcg) [wishfulthinking] Come to think of it, a few nice little 10k coin market buys would get things going nicely about now. ...trustworthy bank...
Isn't that an oxymoron?

BTW, why in almost every your post you are mentioning child pron or drugs? Does it play a significant role in your reality ?
You noticed that too? Intravenous injection seems to be her favorite method. Perhaps the Brony thing has something to do with it as well. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I thought the bulltards told us not to focus on price though? So let's look at bitcoin itself. Since 2011, there has been essentially no improvement to the protocol itself. The only difference is that you can spend them with a few stores online, but still, they're just being dumped immediately to dirty fiat and not being held by the merchants. If the merchants won't even hold bitcoin, that tells us it's not a useful currency. So essentially, the only reason we're still sticking around $200 is because of speculators.
Will these speculators drive the price up again? Maybe... but I doubt it. Sooner or later the people will realize the emperor has no clothes. There just isn't any reason for ordinary people to use bitcoin, and the value will ultimately reflect that reality.
Just wait until the USD collapses, after that they will have no alternative. Gold will be confiscated, so ordinary people wont have any other place to go but Bitcoin and other crypto coins. Bitcoin won't help if all it takes is a few hours of waterboarding to make you cough up your private keys. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

I remember when the internet was considered to be just a vehicle for pornography. I read somewhere at the time that 70% of all web pages were porn. Then it was called a haven for copyrighted-content "pirates" with torrents representing the lion's share of internet traffic. Haters will always find a scapegoat.

Enough trolls buying in to troll would surely cause a ramp up. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) It would take a lot of trolls' allowances and lunch money to cause a ramp up. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

What happened to the glowing ignore button??? I have so many on ignore I can not keep up with them. Sometimes I click unignore to see if I had ignored on accident. If the button still glowed it could be assumed it was for good reason without having to see the garbage again. PLEASE bring back the glowing ignore button.
It got removed with the ability to set avatars - a real shame considering the all time high number of trolls around here.. I'm all in favor of the re-institution of newbie jail. A month of posting only in the noob and off-topic sub-forums and 6 months before starting threads would seem about right. Bringing back the colored ignore button probably wouldn't help much though. Hardcore trolls don't care. Wasn't it ElectricMucus who used to brag that "if your ignore button isn't glowing red, you're doing it wrong"? Of bigger concern is that real trolls might ignore honest posters who call them out, just to turn their ignore buttons red in an attempt to discredit them. Just a thought.

This certainly can't hurt Bitcoin adoption. When I first tried to buy bitcoins, it was extremely difficult without using slow and expensive bank transfers to some questionable foreign fantasy-game exchange. For most people, things have improved immeasurably but for those who live in places without BTC ATMs or exchanges with same-day fiat deposits, buying can still be slow and expensive. This should help many people to get started.

A lot of hostility on this thread. Clearly some are not fairing so well with their investments but why resort to name calling, and involving people's mothers? This thread used to be filled with intelligent people debating the future of Bitcoin, now it looks more like a highschool lunch room of testosterone filled boys arguing over a girl.
LOL It's exactly that hostility that some of us find so hilarious. As for being a highschool lunchroom, I see it as being more like a kindergarten sandbox. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

ah, I see that now we have a new word to spin: bear cultist. I guess someone made that construction by anology to bitcoin cultist.
those bear cultist are just fiat lovers. and they are doing just fine.
Yea I can see they're all so rich, living the high life that they find time to post on forums. Finding time to post on forums is not indicative of success and wealth or the lack thereof. Even lowly white-collar workers can post from their cubicles. It's the ones who seem to spend all day, every day posting here that make me wonder.

Trust me, this thread would be so much better worse with the always cynical and unrealistic intelligent moronic bears as leaders.
ftfy ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fi664.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fvv10%2FJimboToronto%2Fcrybabybear.jpg&t=663&c=rVUI4HLXXiU8cg) Don't worry. Even cynical little bears can grow up to be wise old bulls. In the meantime, keep living in your childish bear dreamworld. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Good morning Bitcoinland.
Up early today (farmer's hours, not even 10:00 AM local time) but I see we're still stuck at around $210, same as at the crack of noon yesterday.
Yawn.

210 buyer is starting to despair
Doubtful. Totally possible, sure, but every one of those 2k buys is going to a hodler. Well, hodler for awhile. Maybe. Possibly not. No idea. I seriously doubt that he's worrying about the price so soon after buying. He's probably not some childishly impatient daytarder.

There´s nothing better on the internet than trolling bitcoin-bull-threads,...
...okay, there is.
Damn right there is... ridiculing foolish beartards who take themselves oh so seriously. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

We need a forum only accessible by proof-of-ownership(btc)... too get rid of these dumb trolls.
Fantastic idea. considering the amount of trolls one can hope that this might get the next bubble going if all those trolls would have to buy some coins in order to continue trolling ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) The only problem with that is that most of the trolls are adolescents and tweeners who can't afford to buy enough coins to make any difference. Why do you think they so desperately want the price to fall? It's the only way they can afford to buy with their allowance money. ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

This thread will reach 11000 pages by the time the second playoff game is finished today.
Not unless it gets padded out with pictures of rockets and sinking ships. 20 posts per page doesn't change whether they contain pictures or not.
