I solely prefer a rise in my BTC holdings. The reason being that I believe BTC has a long way to go and a huge spike in it's price is a must.
Also, a rise in BTC's price will automatically create a bigger return when you exchange them for USD in the future when the price goes high.
BTC also can be used in many other places like for investments, payments, gambling etc.. but holding USD won't create any good for me since I am not from the US.

well there is no specific symbol for the blockchain and hence you can make any symbol of your own which resembles the concept of the blockchain.
In a simplistic way, you can create a symbol image of blocks connected together which will depict the chain of blocks. Or if you like you can simply search for the term blockchain on google images which will show you some really cool images of it.

I would like to suggest you two coins which come into my mind when I hear the term cheapest crypto with good potential.
The coins are EOS and XRP . The latter can give you double investment quickly because of it's cheap price. XRP has already gone to more than double than the current price and hence it won't be too tough for it to cross that price again albeit the BTC price rises high again.
EOS is a potential coin too and personally my favorite one too as the technology is great and more prone to higher prices in the future.

That's really a huge loss you have faced. Damn, that must have hit you really hard I guess. I can't afford to loose such an amount because I don't have it  . Investments are subject to risks. If you had planned your trades well and have stopped after loosing a few BTC may be you could have saved the rest for in need of it. Neither BTC is bad nor the Altcoins but if you keep loosing on Altcoins may be you shouldn't just invest in it. Just saving the BTC could have made you enough money I believe. |

That's certainly true mate. There are many who take the beginners for granted but not all. I myself welcome most of the newbies to the crypto community and explain them what it is all about and solve their problems related to crypto. I say most and not all because some people come here just to annoy others. We can call them the haters. I had recently taught a person most of the things I know about crypto and the Bitcointalk forum and damn he was happy to be a part of it.  |

Bitcoin is struggling hard right now to rise in price but I guess the market is filled with whales who are dumping their BTC in the market which is why BTC price is not increasing. I don't think it would be wise right now to buy more because the price might go down further. I don't hope that it goes down but you never know what happens until it does. I really wish the price of Bitcoin crosses $10k . The best option here would be to hold on to your investments. Half a year has passed since the fall of BTC price and I guess it might start recovering soon.

I think the psychological problem is really important, if you are a newcomer to the market, making risky decisions and following crowd psychology is really not an option. insight.
When I first learned about Crypto when it was really good, the market was so good that it made me really excited and unlucky at the time. After that, not knowing enough about the news made me invest in one. As a gamble, I waited 1 month and 2 months and did not see it recover. And then I decided to leave the market because I ran out of capital. Then the market started to recover and it made me go crazy because of my destiny. I would like to recommend that you always be strategic investors, and do not be too greedy. Actually I think this is not a place to get rich or use free capital to enter the market. With me personally the market is really catastrophic and a lot of volatility. Please wait and listen to more news to get the reviews and decisions for yourself.
Well, you have learnt these things the hard way as I did. Yes, I did commit these mistakes and still regret quite a few of them. I was a panic seller once but Bitcoin taught me not to panic sell . Wait for the right opportunity and it will make fortune to us. Bitcoin has changed my life for the good. I have a learnt from cryptocurrency trading, the bitcointalk forum, ICOs and Bitconnect ( Yes I lost my money in it). I am still happy to be a part of the crypto community. |

The reasons above are well stated and might be true too except for the FIFA one . What does FIFA has to do with Bitcoin ? Bitcoin has been bearish all this while, it has been half a year now and as per the charts BTC has reached the bottom. According to my calculations, BTC might start rising soon. Yes I am being a little optimistic here but lets face it, who isn't ? We all want BTC to rise now. Tired of bearish trend   |

You know what, my portfolio has decreased by more than 75% and yeah that is more than half of my amount gone. But I am not so worried about it because I am here for a long term. I know that Bitcoin is here to stay and it will take a while now until the bear trend is over. Bitcoin will soon recover the bearish movement and will rise high in the next few months in my opinion. Don't worry about the damage BTC has caused you , instead wait for the moment when BTC will increase your capital and give out good returns for your investment.

Consider this example. Person A buys a sandwich from US at $1 and the same person goes to India and buys the same sandwich for $1.5 because the price in India for that particular sandwich is more. People love the sandwiches there which has caused greater demand for it in India and that's why the vendor has increased its price. Similar thing happens in crypto exchanges . Many exchanges have different prices for the same coin because of greater demand in one exchange than the other. I hope you understand why the prices are different for the same coin now.

I wonder why the developers of Bitcoin cash named it as " Bitcoin Cash" because it's neither Bitcoin nor cash Jokes Apart, Bitcoin Cash is nowhere near Bitcoin. I don't know why you think its better than BTC. You should have at least mentioned the reason why you think BCH looks better than BTC. Bitcoin cash is doing equally bad as Bitcoin is because of the bear market. Bitcoin is actually doing better in my view. I agree that BCH has comparatively low fees than BTC but thats the only aspect which I find better in BCH but overall BTC still is better than BCH. |

The more I read these threads, the more Im convinced we are going to 2k.
Denial is a powerful force. The more the denial, the bigger will be the panic. And thats the danger, thats why I believe we are going for a 90% fall from ATH.
A 5% rise is not a bull run. We need to be at 10k to even start considering one.
How come reading positive threads affect your force of denial ? You must have got some super natural powers to convert these positive vibes into negative ones. Don't mind but I have got to say that this just my opinion which I am sharing with all of you and I believe that sooner or later Bitcoin will bounce bank harder than it has fell down. It has been doing this since the beginning. I am not a Bitcoin fanboy or an optimistic bitboy but just stating this as per the history. |

Well I wold say that don't believe what other people say. I would suggest you to do what you want and not to follow somebody else.
If you think Bitcoin is a better investment than any altcoins then invest in it and if you altcoins give out better returns than Bitcoin then you should definitely invest in altcoins. The crypto market is volatile , this results in various situations where BTC goes up and altcoins goes down and vice versa and sometimes both goes in same direction. So you should only in the coins you believe will give you better returns. My potential coins are BTC, ETH and EOS.

I have read these tips in so many posts in this forum. I have listed out a few tips myself but you know what the problem is.
The problem is that no matter how much we create an awareness about these things to the new traders, they will make this mistakes anyway.
I guess the people should commit these mistakes at least once so that they could remember it life long and don't repeat it ever.
There are some wise people who stay aware of these things when they start trading and they are the ones who gain more profits right from the start of their trading.

I can totally feel you bruh ! I have been in that phase for quite a long time but now my vision is clear. I been in the crypto market for a long time and it has showed me enough to change my views over Bitcoin. I guess this why the whales are still holding on to their BTC. They know how potential it is and how much it can be used to get more profit out of their investment. I won't say that Bitcoin is the future or something but it will definitely leave a terrific history behind.

You do not have to be pessimistic or be afraid with this fall that bitcoin suffers, I read that by 2019 the price of bitcoin will reach 10K for this reason you have to be patient and not panic.
Yeah right, that's what the experts of crypto has to say about Bitcoin. It is quite obvious to me and most of the other crypto enthusiasts that it is a deep bear market. Bitcoin is struggling hard to break the resistance at $7500 and I bet it won't happen until are all these panic sellers are there in the market. Most of these are the people who entered during the late 2017. The reason is obvious that they have not seen this kind of bear market before and they have their portfolio decreased by more than half. It's their loss because by selling now, they hare not only sucking up the losses bt also missing the great opportunity to buy at extreme low price. |

That's really true. I was in the market when Bitcoin was dead the last time. I saw people posting that Bitcoin is dead and yet it survived. Bitcoin not only survived its death but bounced back and created an ATH at $19k and I see that now it's dead again. I don't know how do I control my laughter . Although Bitcoin has fallen hard this time, it doesn't mean that its dead if it was dead then the price would have been below $2000 by now. It's a deep bear market and it would take quite a while until the bearish trend is recovered.
