5901  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding The Different Types Of Cryptocurrency Exchanges on: March 22, 2019, 06:58:38 AM
I thought you were going to talk about how the different exchanges is offering different types of opportunities to people. For example with Binance, you do Spot Trading, not yet into margin trading but I think they are getting into it. As for Bitmex and Deribit, they are focused on margin trading and futures/perpetuals. I hope you could add that to your comparison and add more information about it.
5902  Local / Pilipinas / Re: PREDICTION PRICE OF BTC in Q2-[GAME PRIZE] on: March 22, 2019, 02:22:14 AM
Interested in participating here. At least may pa games pa or something. More activity towards the local board. Medyo matagal pa yung prediction kaya tingnan muna natin from April siguro then we could start? Ganun ba yun? @sheenshane

Mas okay yan at whole number pa. Lol  Grin

5904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with normal games on: March 22, 2019, 01:39:18 AM
I do bet on these boxing matches, even if that boxer is not that popular or famous I also bet on him as long as I knew or know his skills as a boxer and also, if you are betting on them you should know his opponent. I do usually these with my best friend but he's busy now with his job so I don't have anyone to bet with now. That is the reason I knew sports betting online.
I guess a bunch of research is needed to have that needed outcome that you want. With boxing matches, it's hard to predict what is going to happen when both of the fighters have skills. If you really have a bunch of money that you can afford to lose, you can go and bet on the underdog (higher multiplier) and hope for the best. It's fun to do that if you win. Lol.
5905  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading has made me on: March 21, 2019, 10:27:52 AM
I'm not sure if bots actually help people save time. The thing here is that people will then have the bot trading on the side while they are still doing their time consuming manual trading. It all comes down to the profit people think they can make.

Another thing is that people will have to focus on two things now instead of just one. Bots can wipe out the majority of their trading balance just as easily as people themselves do because the risk you or your bot is exposed to is still there.
Personally, I do conservative trades, like it won't make a trade as long as the trade is sure to like before going into a trade, there should be agreed indicators. Maybe I should rephrase in a way, and it helps you not monitor your trades all the time (unless you are a Full-Time Trader). I do have a job, and Bot saves myself time to hang and chill. It depends on what settings you are trying to run and how you are going to run it.

Thanks for adding context @DdmrDdmr

It's sad that some of the top receivers and senders are abusers. I didn't know that it is worse than it is, especially being one of the active members of the local board. I want to make sure that it won't happen and also being fair towards every member.

The post by finaleshot2016 has highlighted those people who have been good and abused merits.
5908  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what trading has made me on: March 21, 2019, 06:18:27 AM
Is this even a bad thing? What did you neglect your priorities that you shouldn't have? I think once you have overlooked a priority that you should always have done, then you are in concern with addiction. That's the point towards what you need to do. Once you know that you are already an addict, you need to strive for the next step where you should control yourself.

I have something to offer you, OP, it's going to make your time more efficient, and you could spend your time in whatever you want. You could save time from trading by using an automatic cryptocurrency trading bot, Gunbot. Gunbot is going to be helpful for you. Check it out, and it might save your life.
5909  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] BTT - BCT - BTCT? on: March 21, 2019, 05:22:29 AM
But whenever I talk/discuss to someone who is a member here on any messaging platform, I mostly use forum no any abbreviation used. Then use bitcointalk if I write/talk to someone who's not a member here but knows crypto since using BTT, BCT will trigger them to think as its a kind of token or altcoin.
Well, at least there's an understanding towards knowing the forum part towards other members and possible future members lol. It does sound like a coin or something, and maybe in the future, even BTCT would be created as @r1s2g3 said. But as you know, BTCT is the free one. That's why I went for it also and makes sense.

Any kind of abbreviation, BCT, BTT, BTCT is confusing one.
That's why I think there should be like an official term. That's the purpose of standards, knowing in every location or board you are, there's an understood meaning towards BTT/BCT/BTCT/BTF, nevertheless, at least you gave your opinion.

Analysis

Prior to yesterday, umangat lalo yung presyo ni Bitcoin, in higher time frames, mukhang mag dodowntrend siya pero not yet. All sources still say that dump is going to happen.

5911  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Tanggap ba o hindi? on: March 21, 2019, 01:21:18 AM
Siguro na miss out mo 'to kabayan.

Hala. Ngayon ko lang 'to nakitang thread na 'to. Anyways, to be clear, hindi ako natanggap at hindi ako sure kung matatanggap pa or even na-acknowledge yung application ko dahil sa nagawa ko dun sa thread. I guess they just looked at it in a bad way and I shouldn't have done that.

I truly commend him for his efforts for showing to us those very remarkable posts.[ and true enough he was merited for that ]
Hopefully, sir, na bring up ulit yung topic where I applied as a merit source and I added some additional posts towards it and maybe it could be considered in some way to be added again. We will see what's going to happen.
5912  Other / Meta / Re: Application For Merit Source [Philippines Local Board] on: March 21, 2019, 01:14:02 AM
Thank you for bringing this back up @sheenshane, a lot has changed towards myself and my ways to this forum. I hope now it can be seen as an improvement towards myself and how I treat Merits and with that, development for the members of our local board as well.

I have recently posted an analysis of how our local board could benefit new boards and how activity there would add up. I included there reference towards how posts, topics, and child boards play a role in it. Check some of it below.

Arranged from highest posts, topics and child boards

Arranged from highest posts, topics and child boards

The Philippines local board are among the top 8 with topics and posts and having only one child board. I thought of this as something that could translate towards the addition of child boards, and maybe it could affect how much people would come into bitcointalk and be active. What I wanted there also is that Bitcointalk to be the central forum and everyone who is concerned through cryptocurrency would have an account and discuss all things related to a particular topic, maybe off-topic or Politics and Society.

In summary, I would like to re-apply to become a merit source. Supported by some of the evidence above, hopefully, I could be a great addition to it.
5913  Other / Meta / Re: Who and when will hit 10k merits??? on: March 20, 2019, 09:40:58 AM
Lol, exactly, I will get there in the year 3872, but do I care? there are too many more important things in life than worrying about this artificial scarcity.
You would have probably died, all of us here at that year. Lol. No one asked if you cared. Merit comes naturally as long as your post makes sense.

I think it's a great point that you have, but in my opinion, if you are just going to type BCT Forum, it's convenient also to put "this forum" instead of "BCT Forum." That's if you want to use BCT Forum as a word, but using 3 - 4 letters are more comfortable in my opinion and having a standard in the whole forum is just ideal.
I don't think that we have to or should use any of them, BCT, BTT, BTCT, or BCT forum if we have been in the forum, mention about the forum.
The abbreviation, if used, only should be used when we are somewhere outside the forum, but want to mention about the bitcointalk forum.
I see, but people from another forum or just in general won't understand "BCT" or any other abbreviation to specify the forum. They might even think that it's a coin or something. Those shortcuts can be used right after the full meaning. E.g., Bitcointalk.org (BTCT) or something like that then proceeds like any other wordings to be done and mention "BTCT" in every time you would mention it, specifically, articles.

There's no limit to what this "standard" of abbreviation could be used, in this forum or outside as long as there is an agreedvalue on it.

I would prefer to spend a second to add the word 'forum' at the end.
In the future, there will be something, digital assets, or sites, or stocks, etc. that have its abbreviation, ticker as BCT, BCTT, BTT, so adding the word 'forum' at the end, after the abbreviation always make sense.

5917  Economy / Economics / Re: And Now Visa Wants To Enter Crypto on: March 20, 2019, 02:39:58 AM
It could be considered for them as a great financial move, and we know that there are possible bigger players that will come to the crypto space. It is possible to have higher prices, but I think they have a different plan with that like they would create their cryptos like JPM or any other big companies that want to have complete control over it. It's just financial gains they want and to have full control over that, they need to control the coin itself.
5918  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Toybitz: The Bitcoin Explorer on: March 20, 2019, 02:33:03 AM
Smiley
I think it's just protection for them to prevent unwated transactions na baka malugi sila or something.

I know in some online shops like Shopee, they accept coins.ph transactions and it is thru DragonPay. Na try ko na siya multiple times and didn't fail me naman (just the item I ordered lol)

5919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I do about it? on: March 20, 2019, 02:19:31 AM
I think it's better to invest it already in something worth it already, not just letting it sit there. I prefer to trade them and make money move. Don't wait for that 100x; make that 100x for yourself.

I'm not here to say any financial advice to you but check out automatic trading using Gunbot. I have profited a lot from just monitoring and adding correct pairs. Making swing trades without having to check the actual charts are amazing.

Analysis

There are some other Technical Analysis towards Bitcoin that says there is going to be a dump going to happen, I'm not sure when it will be (no one is) but I hope it happens.
