Not true, TA does work most of the time, just because you don't understand it does not mean it does not work, how do you think 3k was the bottom just randomly everyone decided to buy btc for 3k and not to sell it cheaper? there were many TA signals that we have bottomed and we actually did, TA is a combination of numbers and human psychology , if understood and used perfectly can most of the time keep you on the winning side.

This is a million $ question , pretty hard to answer and does depend on many factors, but thought I'd share my personal experience here , after having read this


I want to validate whether this statement is valid or not.

on March of 2019 I made this topic > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5118139.msg50064209#msg50064209 , I was bascially wondering if I should use all my BTC to buy mining gears.

took me a while to decide, got the gears around end of April / start of May.

BTC price was at about 5k , the miners did cost me about 250$ each as oppose of 200$ because I couldn't meet the MOQ for that 200$ price as i decided not to go all in (something I do regret a bit)

so I will make a simple a calculation here to demonstrate whether I made a good or bad move in terms of profit , first we need a few numbers to work with

1- Miner cost in btc = 250$/5000$ =  0.05 BTC
2-Average Income to date (2 months) = 0.027 BTC not 100% accurate but pretty close
3-Current Miner price ( if want to sell today) = 500$/11600$ = 0.043 BTC

total BTC value as of today = 3+2  = 0.043 + 0.027 =  0.07 BTC made of 0.05 BTC with a net profit of 0.02 BTC or 250$ turned to 812$

too good to be true ? yes indeed because simply there is no power bill in the calculation, and I haven't sold any of the BTC earning. but let's do the same calcs and pretend I was paying 6 cents per kwh which seems to be the average in many places.

assuming an S9 consumes 1200w per hour or 1.2kw meaning at least 1.72$ a day or 50$ a month, but then I would probably have to cash out monthly and pay the bill , so the first cash out would have been the end of may when BTC price was at about 8000$ which means in the first month I would have lost 50$/8000$ = 0.00625BTC

the second bill would have been paid by end of June of price at about 11000$  = 50$ /11000$ = 0.00454 BTC

total bill = 0.01 BTC

1- Miner cost in btc = 250$/5000$ =  0.05 BTC
2-Average Income to date (2 months including electity bills at 6 cents per kwh) = 0.027 - 0.01 = 0.017 BTC
3-Current Miner price ( if want to sell today) = 500$/11600$ = 0.043 BTC

total BTC value as of today = 3+2  = 0.043 + 0.017 =  0.06 BTC made of 0.05 BTC with a net profit of 0.01 BTC or 250$ turned to 708$

fiat wise, your 250$ would have now worth = 580$
Mining wise, your 250$ now worth = 708$

There are a lot of other factors involved which I can't really cover all, because many of them simply depend on your luck, the time you sell your earning, a few gears go bad, difficulty spikes/drops , supply and demand on mining gears.

but overall, IMO during a bear market shift, when prices start to rise,  mining BTC is in most cases more profitable than simply buying BTC, which may lead me to think that investing in mining after the bull run has already started may be a terrible idea.

اولا نبدا بحساب استهلاك كل جهاز ..الاس 9 يستهلك حوالي 1300 وات على 220 فوت يعني 6 امبير لكل جهاز.

اجمالي التيار الدي تحتاجه هو 18 امبير...مما يعني انك بحاجة لموصل يتحمل على الاقل 20 امبير.

البضاعة التجارية في العادة لا توفر مثل هده المواصفات.


يجب عليك ان تبحت في المحلات التي توفر البضاعة الصناعية..اعتقد انك ستجد ماتريد.. او تقوم بشراءه من امازون..وعليك انت تبحت في مواصفات الجهاز عن قدرته بالامبير.

بالنسبة للمدخل الكهربائي الموجود على الحائط يمكنك فكه بعد قطع التيار واقرا مواصفاته من الخلف ان كان يتحمل 20 امبير ام لا.

قم بتغيره في حالة انه لا يتحمل..المشكلة الكبرى تكمن في سمك السلك الواصل للماخد الكهربائي ف الجدار.. يجب ان يكون 2.5mm او اكبر لتحمل الاجهزة التلاتة.

يمكنك الاستغناء عن الماخد الكهربائي وقطع نهاية اسلاك الماينر وربطها مباشرة ب الكابل الموجود في الحائط مباشرة باستعمال ادوات joint مثل الصورة التالية

كما ذكرت سلفا اشك ان لديك ماينر يستهلك 3000 وات... حدد نوع الماينر وساحسب لك كم يستهلكو امبير وكم سمك السلك اللازم للتوصيل..علما بانه يوجد طريقة اقتصادية اكتر تجنبك شراء ال pdu التي تصل كلفتها لمئات الدولارات احيانا.

نحن نستعمل مفردات من لغة الاستعمار بخصوص الادوات الكهربائية فمن الصعب معرفة بعض المفردات ان لم تكن صريحة او بالغة الانجلبزية ع الاقل.

لا يجب ان يوقع اي شي عند وضع العنوان , فقط يحتاج لي ان يتم اقتباسه من شخص اخر ففي حالة تم اختراق حسابه لن يستطيع المخترق مسح هده الرسالة , التوقيع سيحتاجه عندما يريد اتبات ملكيته لي هدا العنوان فقط , طبعا لا مانع من التوقيع الان لكي يفهم طريقة التوقيع.

I am getting 15.4 but using only the +1.5th , the +2th does not seem to be stable for me, just as OP mentioned, I also have no explaination on why does +1.5 adds 1.9th but well I can't complain.

also keep watching the rejected shares, or basically watch the reported hashrate on the pool, don't get too excited seeing the hashrate on your miner , after all it kind of does not matter if it's not reporting the same on the pool due to excessive over clocking, this happened to some of my S9s even with +1.5 so had to go back to +1 on those.

I say very seldom, if he was banned for what SM quoted then it's certainly unfair, he was simply re-announcing something from the OP's posts, it is pretty clear that he was not passing it as his own work, SM or anybody else should report such posts, but it's the mod's job to take these things case by case and even if they make a "mistake" they should be able to correct it.

بالنسبة لعملة الزي كلاسك فكنت من متابيعها العام الماضي, كنت اقوم بتعدينا بواسطة كروت شاشة Rx570 وكنت احتفط بما امتلكه , ولكن في فترة ما كانت هناك شائعات ان فريق العملة قد تخلى عنها وقد هبط سعرها هبوط سريع جدا وحاد وتعرضت لبعض الخسائر منها , بصراحة عملة الزي كلاسك كانت بمتابة درس لا ينسى بالنسبة لي , الدرس يكمن في ان اي عملة تريد الاستتمار فيها يجب ان تراقب كل شي بخصوصا, ليس فقط عند شراءك لها ولكن بصفة دائمة ودورية.

انت مسؤول عن اي رابط تقوم بوضعه سواء بقصد او لا..ماذنب الناس التي وتقت بك وقامت بتحميل الفايروس؟  انت تقوم بالترجمة وتتقاضى مبلغ مالي او توكن مقابلها..يجب معاملتها كمصدر رزق وان تحرس عليها..الكشف ضد الفايروسات هو اول شي يجب ان تقوم به لحماية نفسك ولكل من يقوم بتحميل وزيارة الراوبط التي تضعها في المنتدى.

Are you able to access those pools on your pc? If yes, i am sure using DHCP on your miner or copying the DNS from your PC network status will fix this problem, just because you can't access a certain website it does not mean it is blocked by your ISP.

البرافيت كي يتم انشاءه من قبل المكسر..فهم بالطبع يعرفون ذلك البرافيت كي..ولكن عامل الثقة هنا ضروري جدا ففي حال انك لا تتق في المكسر فلا يمكنك ان ترسل لهم شي اصلا.

You can't possibly think that anyone on planet is earth is capable of maintaining 20 accounts specially if they involve high ranks / dt / merit sources. not saying that your argument is completely invalid, however if I had more than one account I would most certainly ensure that they don't go into No-Posting mode at the same time, i mean this is what everyone would do , don't you agree?

there are other factors that might be stronger  , but just because a few accounts stopped posting on the same day, it really does not mean that much on it's own.
