5922  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BBR] Boolberry: Privacy and Security - Guaranteed[Bittrex/Poloniex]GPU Released on: September 18, 2014, 12:57:15 AM
Any problems with the network?

For some reason I can't sync with the block chain, it keeps saying "loading blockchain data" and nothing happens.

Do you use windows version ?
I guess i know what the bug is, try to download blockchain from website: http://boolberry.com/downloads/windows/blockchain.bin (if you use windows) and load GUI from that.
Next build will be with fix for this problem.

hi zoidberg,

might put that in the op, so people find this info fast.

i had the same problem and quite happy that i found your post that quick.

keep up the good work, i gonna solo mine now Smiley

Just sold all my bitcoins and bought random altcoins.

The end ia near  Cheesy

Tbh there are 2 alts interesting for me.
One is btcd because it will enable bitcoin transaction to be anon which is not possible to trace back.
The other is vericoin for allday transactions.

In the future i see bitcoin as a kind of reserve currency like gold was.

5930  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens if Satoshi has to pay taxes? on: September 15, 2014, 01:24:07 AM
Can you pay a capital gain tax if you didn't originally invest capital?  I mean Satoshi literally invented bitcoins so you couldn't say that he invested X and calculate a gain from X.  If X is 0, you get "undefined".
Yes, your cost basis would be 0 so 100% of your gains would be taxed at the appropriate rate.

now we know the reason why satoshi wants to stay anon.

100% of nearly 1 million btc is alot of tax money.
5931  Economy / Economics / Re: How I would try to kill bitcoin on: September 15, 2014, 01:13:58 AM
there is no way to kill bitcoin completely without killing the internet or the network which bitcoin communicates through.

my way of killing bitcoin would be several nukes placed around the world and detonating them in an altitude of several hundred kilometers.
that would probaly destroy most eletronic circuits on planet earth.
i dont think people will use bitcoin on the spare working electronic devices mankind still have  ( probaly wouldnt even have the electricity to power it).

BTCD is now in the TOP 10 marketcap.

What're you smoking, crackfoo?

It still looks like BitcoinDark is #11 to me.

weird.... mine doesn't show maidsafe???

correct, they classify maidsafe and some other "coins" now correctly as assets!
so its correct that btcd is now #10 of crypto currencys Wink

5936  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Manipulator on: September 14, 2014, 08:15:25 PM
Awww, look at puppy Blitz, before he became all callous and cynical about the markets... He even complained about a "manipulator" who's "keeping the price down" ... just like the new noobs are doing now :3

Don't ban me please Cheesy

Several names still posting regularly on here. Why not rich?! Smiley

Weak hands *cough* Cheesy

Or not rich enough Wink
5937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 14, 2014, 08:14:08 PM
Use your BTC profits to live it up in your old age and to use up all your money.

Don't worry. I'm already living it up.

I've been job free since 1976, live in one of the coolest neighborhood in downtown Toronto, have a 50 acre country retreat less than 2 hours away, consort with women young enough to be my daughters and gig a couple of times a month just to exercise my liver.

Sex and herbs and rock and roll!

 Cool

You sure you will see your 80s or 90s with that lifestyle? Cheesy

5939  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Manipulator on: September 14, 2014, 06:38:58 PM
It's fun to see how things aren't changed after three years, btw I wish I would be here in 2011...

If you are still here in 3 years i think you will be happy as it is Wink
