Well if you say it's legit, do you maybe have some proof of payments or something?
I'm not 100% sure if i could invest on this or not.
Will wait some more reviews. Thanks doe.
They have a tab showing payouts, but those could be fake of course. Problem with Ponzi's is that you never know if they are legit and if you wait too long, your money is gone.

I highly recommend you to stay away from them.
5942  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Legit or not? on: January 07, 2015, 07:02:41 PM
Oki , sorry for dumb question but anyone know if http://cryptodouble.com/ is actually legit?
I don't think there is suck a double your btc. But have someone taked risk on this website or no?
It's "legit" as long as it runs, because websites like this are known as Ponzi's and they always crash at some point. You can make money from it, yes, but a lot of people will money because of it.

Quote
In Ponzi schemes, the schemer basically says, "I found a great way to make money fast. The more you give me, the more I can invest in that cause, and the more I can earn for us all." But a Ponzi scheme doesn't actually earn money. Instead, all of the scheme's money comes from the investors.

Once a Ponzi scheme gets too many investors, the system will always crash. This is because the investors all expect more money than they invested, and they will get impatient.

These schemes always stop one of three ways:

1. The schemer runs away with the money they got. This is what schemers try to do.
2. The schemer runs out of money; They will be unable to promise money back right away. This is called liquidity, and makes investors panic and demand their money back, often all at once.
3. Authorities find out about the scheme and stop it.

For those of you still subscribed to this thread, Coindesk review is here: http://www.coindesk.com/review-ravenbit-keeps-physical-bitcoin-meme-alive/
Just a 3.5? That is an insult, you should sue them for making you look bad. Grin
No, but seriously, it's a nice review, even though I disagree with the rating and that the market is limited. I have bought so many coins lately.
5944  Other / Meta / Re: Replacing DefaultTrust on: January 07, 2015, 05:50:25 PM
First, in forums where the trust list is visible it might be handy to have a "Trust User" and "Exclude User" button added.
This would be a nice thing to have. Adding someone to my trust list is a bit of a hassle. Not much, but having two buttons, makes it a lot easier.

Somewhat related to both systems, is it worth investigating an additional level(s) of feedback in the system? Currently there's not really a difference between "This person is acting in a sketchy/slimy way, I don't trust them" and "This person stole 100BTC from me" in the numerical ratings. If people used it properly a separate rating for personality conflicts / general sleaziness as opposed to a full negative scammer rating might see the system used more. I can think of many people I wouldn't personally buy from / do business with / trust, but I don't want to leave negative feedback for given the gravity of it. I have my doubts such a thing would be used properly and personality issues still wouldn't just garner the same 9999BTC risked "This guy is a scammer!1!! He was mean to me in my for sale thread!!1!" feedback we see now.
I think this is very idea. #bitcoin-otc has -10 to 10 as rating possibility and it helps a lot.

You know someone in person, you two are friends and you would trust him/her with your life? +10. You did a small trade? +1. You don't trust this user because of personality? -1. See Rating guidelines for more. I often feel that a negative is too harsh, so I go back to neutral, even though that doesn't fully reflect my opinion about someone.

Isn't such rule encouraging people to spam?
Depending on their definition of top 10 posters it is. However, I cannot decide over something like that.
5946  Other / Meta / Re: Why cant we change our avatars? Will we ever be able to? on: January 07, 2015, 02:35:52 PM
New forum? When it comes?
Will everything be reset or just new design and stuff?

Here you go:
Q: So when is the new forum software coming?
A: Well, according to theymos, some time after February 2015.

Please checkout the "Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ". It contains a lot of information.
5947  Other / Meta / Re: Why cant we change our avatars? Will we ever be able to? on: January 07, 2015, 02:24:50 PM
Here you go:
Q: Why doesn't the forum let me add an avatar?
A: The forum was hacked some time ago. It is thought that the avatars were used as a means of injecting malicious code into the forum. Even though the vulnerability was patched, the avatars will be disabled until a new forum software is released.

Why don't you ask the seller to lower the declared value? That way you pay VAT over less... Win-win
Because that's illegal and they could bust my ass because of that? My package has been checked before and I gave UPS all the information required, including the website at which the prices are displayed, so it's a huge no-go for me.

1. Not getting into the arguement of Ponzi or not. It is paying me consistently for over 2 months. But for all the reasons you may call it a Ponzi, also applies to Cryptomine.io. What about that ? Why that is in the list ?

2. I did not get this point. Do you mean, this campaign may not pay me even if I am in the top 10 ? I am already getting their referral payout !!!
Point 1 is indeed not good enough to not add it, because I cannot proof, for sure, that it's a ponzi. But I don't have one reason, I have two. With point 2 I mean that only 10 people of the campaign get paid, no matter how many people can join. Like I said before, either everyone gets paid or no-one.
5958  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: January 06, 2015, 08:36:37 PM
CloudMining.website has started a signature campaign: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=915075.0
This campaign won't be added for two reasons:

1. It's most likely a Ponzi.
2. You either pay everyone or you pay no-one. Things like this have been rejected in the past and I will reject them for the foreseeable future:
-snip-
We will be finding out the top 10 referrers each week and reward them from 0.01 BTC to 0.1 BTC by increasing the reward in 0.01 BTC in each step.

5960  Other / Meta / Re: Redsn0w, negative/neutral/or no trust due to Escrow negligence? on: January 06, 2015, 08:32:02 PM
Even though he isn't drowning in negative points they still hurt... I mean, when you see the trust under someone's name you get a little discouraged when you see any negative trust at all... I'm not sure redsnow deserves that for something he fixed.
Thing is, he didn't fix it. BadBear fixed it, not redsn0w. If it wasn't for the crew, redsn0w would have had a serious problem with, most likely, even bigger consequences.
