Interestingly enough TF hasn't been in for 4 days. Quite rare for him as he at least logs in to check the forum even on days that he doesn't post. He follows a certain posting pattern which is obvious if you look at his history. It'd be interesting to hear what he has to say about those finds.
5942  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Recovery program beginning in January for PB Mining customers. on: January 16, 2015, 04:51:43 PM
Mid January and the owners are still AWOL... In the meantime their website is still open and acepting deposits.
5943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Adam Guerbuez claims some very big news is coming for Bitcoin this friday on: January 16, 2015, 04:48:50 PM
Can someone tell me who is this guy and what has he done for bitcoin? He was sues ffrom facebook back in 2008 and then filed for bankruptcy. He also seems to be proud for being sued for such an amount, which to my eyes doesn't rally make him that of a credible person. If anything, I don't think that this exact moment is the right moment to be positive about the current state of bitcoin but who knows.
5944  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com -- The Social Gambling Game on: January 16, 2015, 04:04:10 PM
Can you add other coins, likely dogecoin or litecoin, if possible add altcoins  Cheesy

I'm just responding because I've asked the same question before and he's said he's not really interested in doing other coins, but that the source was open code, so anyone is really free to start a similar site for another coin.

That's the last I heard on it and where it currently stands, unless he changes his mind for the future.

He also said that it's not on his plans doe to the amount of maintanence it would require to support a second currencly. Ryan is truly working hard already, he's constantly updating the github and has many plans for the futures. Not many gambling games are as transparent as moneypoint, not to the extent that you can look at their code and even reuse it. If there is enough interest for an altcoin moneypot we'll probably see someone using the available code to create it.
5945  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSED] Cryptomine.io - Jan Campaign on: January 16, 2015, 12:56:34 PM
Sad to see the site turn up as a scam. I was in contact with the support about buying a plan, but haven't heard back after 5th.
They probably shut down after the price drop. (either the whole thing was a scam and they sold their coins, or mining is no longer profitable)

It's pretty sad to come to thic conclusion but this doesn't look like anything else other than a scam. A short lived one too. On the positive side though, cara ran the campaign honestly and participants received the BTC they earned.
5946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sadness on: January 15, 2015, 08:47:55 PM
how much have you lost?
You don't lose till you sell.
No, that's delusional. You have to value your assets at market.

Well that's not how every hodler looks at it. People owning bitcoin before the boom of 2013 regret selling before the price rise. I can see where the guy saying You don't lose till you sell. is coming from. He's clrarly a believer into the longterm success of bitcoin. I wouldn't call that delusional.
5947  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin revealed: a Ponzi scheme for redistributing wealth - Washington Post on: January 15, 2015, 03:59:44 PM
I really can't believe how someone can sit down and write an article of this lingh for a website like washington post without having a clue of what bitcoin is. It's 2015 and we still see people from the media calling bitcoin a ponzi...
5948  Local / Ελληνικά (Greek) / Re: Γιατί υπάρχει όριο στα 21.000.000 Bitcoin; on: January 15, 2015, 05:59:37 AM

This right here must be the most ridiculous website design I've seen. Props to OP for earning that achievement.
5950  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [HIGHEST RATES] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: January 14, 2015, 08:18:15 PM

Why not allow the option of using Google Authenticator too? Guess it is much more less problem prone.
If your concern is privacy, you might as well use a burner number or a service like pinger.com/tfw to sign up. Same thing I did with paybase since I don't trust them with having my number.

But bitfury is an established company. I used a number from a phone I own with no worries.

Also macro, thanks for accepting me. Smiley
5951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Call me crazy on: January 14, 2015, 08:14:29 PM
bitcoin companies are only gonna close shop, right?

Bitcoin companies are smart enough to minimize the risk from their side. Really few companies are dependent on bitcoin's price to be profitable. The ones that don't can simply reshape their business model to remain safe, take a look at cex.io. They're now an exchange after halting their mining service.
5952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Russia is done, euro zone will be dragged into hell (again). on: January 14, 2015, 08:10:40 PM
I can't see the Eurozone being dragged into hell because of Russia. There might even be a possitive effect for other economies. I remember hearing that sanctions were infact bositive because both sides become less dependant.
5953  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price will you capitalize on this? on: January 14, 2015, 07:54:25 PM
I might as well do the same thing, I've been getting paid for gigs in bitcoin and hodling for a long time. It's pretty sad for me to see bitcoin crashing since I'm actually a hoarder but the good thing is that I only have time invested into it. Lots and lots of time. Witht that said, If it crashes further, I might as well try puting some FIAT in to even things out but I'm still hesitant. One thing is sure with Bitcoin, it's unpredictable.
5954  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | The Most Popular Bitcoin Game | 1% Edge | Active Chat | Free BTC on: January 13, 2015, 11:34:50 PM
If coins continue to decline in value, we'll consider greatly increasing the max payout per bet.

How is that going to work out for you? Isn't the current max payout a % of your total coins? Because if it is I'm guessing that increasing the max payout would increase the risk on your part.

Or get something like tubetoolbox and spam people with promotional material. As much as I hate this, I've gotten numerous messages from people that went on to become famous.
5957  Economy / Gambling / Re: PLAYTIN - Casino Exchange Wallet Trading on: January 04, 2015, 02:46:15 PM
Don't give up just yet, this is also going to be a longshot but I think you should try contacting websites that have writen about playtin. Most of those websites require a fee to write a review and there should have been some short of communication in order to achieve that. You'll find such websites simply by googling "playtin".
5958  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying Cryptocurrency from Trade Websites without photo ID on: December 31, 2014, 03:23:02 AM
localbitcoins with perfectmoney/egopay worked fine in the past for me. None of those websites require your real information to register and use them. You can also use prepaid cards in localbitcoins.
5959  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Hitleap Account 160k+ Minutes with one month rdp cheap on: December 31, 2014, 03:02:10 AM
These help in search engine optimization right? I might be interested if you're going for $10

Hitleap is autosurf traffic and there's no guarantee that it's not going to come from bots or machines that run specifically for that purpose. It's certainly not the best quality of traffic one can receive.
5960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Mining with cointellect.com is 45X more profitable than it should be on: December 30, 2014, 11:28:58 AM
Cointellect is a hyip. One day their sceme is going to collapse and they'll run away with people's money. If you're ok with that and you think that it's still early enough for you to make profit then go ahead and do whatever you want.

I once threw some high hashrate to their pool and it resulted into my acocunt being locked and them asking for my cc number. They would never be able to pay those high returns for high hashrates.

They're definitely not a legit mining operation. They could be anything but a mining operation. They'reprobably also involved in carding and spreading malware so I suggest you shouldn't trust them with tour cc number and downloads.
