5941  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning Network & bigger amounts? on: February 10, 2018, 07:07:37 AM
Lightning Network wasn't really designed for large transactions.
But the overall transaction issues can still be solved by it due to the fact that there may be less micro transactions that will clog the blockchain if services begin to utilize LN.

Together with SegWit which compresses transactions, problems of the past were lessen by a significant amount.
In the future, if Bitcoin become mainstream, I think that the Hubs will be more busy than the Blockchain itself.
On chain transactions will be for "level 0" transactions.

Did most of you even read the warnings in the sticky threads here in the Altcoin Section?
Tokens and Altcoin investment is a risky business, but there is one thing that benefits in this kind of situation, Bitcoin's integrity.
5943  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the real circulation of Bitcoin? on: February 09, 2018, 07:09:46 AM
Interesting Calculations came up to this:
we have known that their are 210,420 blocks that had been launched. For every block some new bit coins are introduced, and after every 4 years this introduction is halved. Initially 50 bitcoins were introduced;

#On July,2010 the bitcoins released were 10,512,000 (i.e.=120240 *50)

#In 2014, the bitcoins released were 5,256,000 (i.e.=120240*50/2)

#In 2018, the bitcoins released were 2,628,000 (i.e.=120240*25/2)

so ,in present day there are 17,396,000 bitcoins in circulation, out of
all 21,000,000 which are to be launched in future.
Close, but wrong, you've done a great effort though.
Or just take a look at this: https://blockchain.info/charts/total-bitcoins There are 16.9m BTC generated since the start.
The OPs question was about the circulating amount, not the current total, which is roughly about 3 quarter of that or more.

With that much supply, those locked up and lost BTC may be fewer than most of us anticipated, most are just in cold-storage.
It's just that the noise from persons who lost their bitcoin is louder than the usual.

5945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin White on: February 09, 2018, 06:25:18 AM
Those thoughts had been discussed in this thread: Bitcoin White The next 100x coin Somebody claimed it to be the next Bitcoin.

This needs to stop, the sub-naming of famous coins for insta-fame.
Bitcoin White, Bitcoin Black, Bitcoin Asian, whatever it is, lame naming tactics always sound stupid and scammy.
5946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How do I add a 5th card to this rig? on: February 09, 2018, 06:08:25 AM
Your V850 got a whopping 1000W on its 12v Rail, with that, you can use more than 5 1060s.
You already got a riser for the fifth GPU I suppose and there's an extra space in the side of the case, since there was a hole in the picture.

Simply connect the 5th like how the other 4 are connected, I assume that there was already a PCIe Riser for the 5th card because of the picture you've provided.
And.... this:

If you are serious on finding answers to your question, read this thread: Whats your exit strategy?
The questions were the same, but the other topic has more elaborate replies.
You can lock this thread then continue to read and ask questions to that thread.
5948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone Stolen my 10897 ETN! on: February 08, 2018, 06:21:21 AM
To day is bad day for me. I have lost my 10,897 ETN. somenone transferred  10897 etn to other etn id hacking my account.  My email password is still ok. I can not believe it how is it possible. Please give me suggestion how to get back my stolen etn.

Did you follow the emails that the developers sent you?
During the first day "breach" some accounts have been compromised and they told all users via Email that they must change their passwords (including email) for security reasons.

Or maybe your phone where the Electroneum Wallet app was hacked, there are tons of security flaws and Malwares in a Smart Phone than a PC.
5949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Dogecoin still not adaptable ? on: February 08, 2018, 05:15:15 AM
maybe because users don't recognize dogecoin as serious but their technology is very useful.
i use dogecoins in my transactions if i need buy something for crypto
What technology? Dogecoin is an Edited Copy-Paste of Bitcoin, there is no innovation behind it.
What's useful is its fame and worldwide acceptance that makes it safe to use as a trading commodity.

people just don't take it seriously
Who wanted to take a Joke seriously? Look at Post#2 for the pioneer posts of Dogecoin.

Such innocence~ Very Wow!
5950  Economy / Speculation / Re: My fear with cryptocurrencies on: February 08, 2018, 04:18:30 AM
Fear? I will tell you something about fear.
All types of fear originated from the fear of the unknown. Whatever it is, dark, height, water or death, it always because of our lack of knowledge of what is behind those. You can analyze a person's head by knowing his fears.
That's why people are into discovery and research, we need to know everything.

So, you fear about Bitcoin's future or the money you invested?
5951  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin takes HUGE dip, Regulation becomes a concern and bitconnect turns in on: February 08, 2018, 03:55:13 AM
Trying to pin point is very hard as you can see. Especially for these "graph reading magicians"
They aren't magicians, they are Prophets.

Technically there are about 10,000+ prophets in this forum. They speculate a different price ranges at some point, and when the time comes, one or two will hit current price. If 1/10000 Prophecy was correct, it will debunk all logic that discount graph reading techniques.
Then the lucky prophet among the normal prophets will say "I've seen this coming".
5952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Dogecoin still not adaptable ? on: February 07, 2018, 09:10:38 AM
Are you seriously comparing DOGE with Bitcoin?

Bitcoin is a serious project and a possible currency/asset of the future.
While Dogecoin was just a joke when it started, it got a lot of attention than what they expected that made it popular even today.

These pretty much summarizes Dogecoin's history:

You can judge it yourself, is Dogecoin adaptable?

It's funny, though.
5953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Trouble with GPU sensors on: February 07, 2018, 06:40:53 AM
Lol, I checked my HWiNFO for that "GPU Core Curent". There's none.
Update that app since the Power (Watt) is right under it, that's correct but there is no use for that "current" sensor.
5954  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Lottery project [zola.fun] on: February 07, 2018, 06:10:03 AM
Lotteries can be a good addition to any sites that already got a couple of audiences.
But being stand-alone, I'm afraid that you might find it hard to get a decent amount of participants with each draw.

If you want, you can make a faucet for other "free" users to increase your traffic, then people can buy more tickets using their deposits making "spender's" chances much higher than free users.
Referral system is a must too, that is a powerful advertising tool. Just make sure that it can't be exploited by users.
Almost the same as freebit.co.in without the gambling Hi-Lo.
5955  Other / Meta / Re: The funny side of 'Merit Talk' on: February 07, 2018, 04:22:57 AM
I can't seem to find the humor in those.
There is no "fun" in ignorance, only stupid laughing at stupidity.
But if you manage to make a meme about that, it may became funny.
5956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Calming the FUD around G20 and regulations. on: February 06, 2018, 04:15:12 AM
I don't know why is this in the Altcoin Speculation Board but maybe because of its relation to the current market cap.
Talks about regulations are present even at the highest value of the crypto market, making the FUD about market regulations indirectly linked to the current dump.

You are right about the positives of regulations, we need it in order to control the huge amount of scam attempts.
What most people are concerned are the possibility of Governments taking control over the Blockchain rather than just the exchanges, ICO and wallet services, which is impossible. But overall, what they really care is the possible cut from their profits.

The fear of the unknown always drives us.

- People will pay yearly tax on holdings
This is bad, they didn't own it, we are not making money out of our hodlings.
Taxes on Tradings and ICO is a must, ofcourse.

5958  Other / Meta / Re: I done good posts but not receive any merit on: February 05, 2018, 05:48:54 AM
1. I love that term, It emphasises what is wrong with this forum, all threads are at a risk of becoming SPMTīs. Is that a new saying or something you invented? I am quite new on this forum so I do not have the complete history.
Mostly everyone is using that term to those threads with 25 or more pages containing more shitposts than valid replies.
You might want to know what a typical shitpost is, those are the replies that was just solely based in the OP or the title without even reading the previous replies, making SPMT repetitive.

Quote from: StarLawl
2. What would be the solution to all SPMTīs? Is that not locking them, or deleting them? Thus deleting the post history and every activity and merit earned by that SPMTīs.
Those can be a solution but opening a new spam thread using an alt is too easy, but still, spammers might stop posting a reply if threads like those are constantly deleted.
5959  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: recover electrum wallet with password on: February 05, 2018, 05:07:06 AM
thank you for reading about my problem

I reset my phone and now I want to recover my electrum wallet

what I know:
1. 1 bitcoin address, my friend sent me some amount of bitcoin on it
2. password which I wrote when creating wallet

what I DO NOT know: seed ( very long phrase which you must type when creating new wallet )

how can I restore my wallet with this information ?

If you can contact a mobile phone expert or you are knowledgeable in mobile phone rom, try to recover your erased wallet file from that phone.
Any erased storage can be recovered by a specialized recovery tool, one must need expert knowledge in order to successfully recover a file using those tools.
If you got the password and didn't know the seed, the only way to access your btc again is to recover that wallet file.

I'm not using a mobile version of electrum myself, but try to look for the wallet file in your SD card (wallet_1 default name if you didn't changed it during creation).
5960  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's earliest developers on: February 04, 2018, 05:40:51 AM
Here is the list of Bitcoin Core's developers, it's in the bitcoin.org site all along: bitcoin.org/en/development
The names are clickable as a link to view their Github profiles.
The earliest developers like Gavin Andresen are in the list too.
