5941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Beware of fixed matches offer - member wbet7pending! on: October 18, 2020, 07:00:48 PM

I am active in gambling forum board and today I received private message in forum from newbie member wbet7pending allegedly platinum member from stake,
offering me guaranteed fixed matches (Real rigged/fixed matches) and asking for payment commission after win and contact on telegram @ampletown
I don't know how many members received similar message from him but I think many who are active in gambling.

I looked at his post history and all of his posts are in WBet7.com, and I don't trust him or anyone selling fixed matches.

5943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: October 18, 2020, 02:10:37 PM
On paper it looks like we have easy home win in match AS Roma vs Benevento, but newlypromoted team Benevento started this season great and has 2-1 socre and better position in table than Roma. They even managed to win against Bologna and score two times against Inter.
Quality is obviously on Roma side, but both teams have some missing players for today, and Roma is also thinking on thier match with Young Boys in Europa League in few days.

My bets would be:
3+ goals
Both teams to score Yes
5944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: October 18, 2020, 01:56:14 PM
Real mystery match today for me Leicester vs Aston Villa especially after last weeks results.
Leicester lost 3:0 from West Ham but won 5:2 Manchester City week before that.
Similar thing for Aston Villa, that made amazing 7:2 win against champion Liverpool, and before that lost against Stoke in EFL.
Leicester has eight players missing or questionable for this match including most important player Vardy, so I will have to risk and bet against Leicester city here.
Aston Villa has best defence in EPL so far with only 2 goal in their net from 3 matches and they have perfect 3-0 score in EPL so far.

Safer bet here X2
Draw no Bet Aston Villa
5945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 18, 2020, 01:49:53 AM
Brian Ortega dominated and won very easy in this fight against Korean Zombie and I didn't expect to see this at all, except long distance fight like I predicted.
Ortega was totally different much better fighter and I don't mean only physically since he shaved his had, but he moved much better and only thing I can say this was Ortega V2. I am looking forward to see him in his next fight.
5946  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Umbrel - my Bitcoin and LN node? on: October 17, 2020, 07:22:09 PM

I am thinking of running my own Bitcoin non-mining node, and I am considering about using Umbrel that I saw recently.
Good thing about it that they are also supporting privacy with Tor and they are offering free Lightning channel and it is all free software.

Links:
https://getumbrel.com/
https://github.com/getumbrel/umbrel

I am reading all instructions, and also thinking of buying Raspberry Pi 4

Am I crazy for doing this and is there any better alternatives I can use?
I appreciate any suggestions and help.

Welcome to bitcointalk forum CoinCards and thank you for giving everyone who registered $20 free sign up bonus.
Website design reminds me on bet365 and I am not sure if this is intentional or not Smiley
Can you please tell me if there is any kyc/aml registration or nor?

Update after registration I got this email message:

5948  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How to make cryptocurrency exchanges risk-free? on: October 17, 2020, 06:24:41 PM
All you wrote can reduce some risks but it doesn't make cryptocurrency exchanges risk-free.
If there is centralized service like exchange, even if you do everything correct, exchange can be hacked or locked., like wee see in recent hack with kucoin exchange and locked withdrawals with Okex exchange.
KYC does not help customers at all, and documents can end on sold on internet like we saw with Binance example.

Best way to reduce risk is doing p2p trading and decentralized exchanges.
5949  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Core 0.21 supports Tor V3 on: October 17, 2020, 05:28:09 PM
IIRC, 15-Oct-2021 is the release date for the TOR client that will disable V2.
Wonder if everyone is going to stick to that date.

Tor v2 addresses are deprecated from last month and from October 2021 they will be disabled, so I think they will have enough time to update in time.

BIP155 also supports gossiping over the network and one node can tell other nodes that it is using Tor V3 hidden service to run BTC node.

5950  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥 Pitibet.io ⭐ SPORTS BETTING | WEEKLY PROMOTIONS ⚽🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 on: October 17, 2020, 05:04:18 PM
I never saw they offered any $10 free bet so far.
Only thing they are offering is$20 Freebet  if you lose your first bet and bonus of 100% for up to $1000 deposited, but I never managed to test or deposit anything because they still don't allow me to login and access to login in website is denied for me Sad

It's a fight day! Let's get ready for one more UFC event.

Here are some of my picks and predictions:
Said Nurmagomedov vs Mark Striegl
I am going for Nurmagomedov win here and even if odds are not the best I think that Khabib cousin will dominate if we know who was in his training camp.
He won won 13 from 14 fights, and this is Striegl UFC debut after he tested positive for covid last time, and he was part of ONE championship before.

My second pick fight Brian Ortega vs Korean Zombie
I wrote before about this fight so I won't repeat that again, but I will confirm that I believe fight will be decided by long distance decision.
It will not be easy fight by I give slioght advantage to Korean Zombie.

Don't forget to watch the girls Katlyn Chookagian vs Jessica Andrade
Andrade (20-8) is favorite on paper but lost two previous fights Namajunas and Zhang
Chookagian (14-3) won last fight against Antonina Shevchenko and she is taller fighter and underdog here.
I will skip betting here but just enjoy the fight.

Countdown for start of this event and you can also VOTE for winner of main event:

Congratulations to SyGambler for winning Tesla truck grand prize, and watch out not to break the glass like Elon Musk did.  Grin
It should be noticed that he is a member in bitcointalk forum.
He had 135 tickets and it can be verifed with server hash d213743ec285c5d71f1ab9f2c6aca7670a8c8b98f97112e13e6347b398e0063d

In order to answer this issue honestly and openly, we have acquired the Expanded license for the above image. We’re so pleased by your attention to the BetFury!
It is good that you admitted purchasing that stock logo, but idea of creating new brand and trust is to create original logo and not just buying vector from Vectorstock with credits, and then making few minor cosmetic modifications.
Yes it is cheaper than to hire proper designer, but then you can expect reports like this from people.

Let's disregard that for a moment, I would like to see Betfury adding sports betting as soon as possible, but judging by the roadmap it is planned only for Q2 2021

I apologize for some users cant access due to country banned. I am still waiting for the manager to answer about that and hope to get a list of banned countries really soon. TOS will be updated tomorrow. I will say again, we dont do KYC, there is no way.
There is something wrong here.
How is that you say you don't ask for any KYC but on website we can all see you comply with AML/KYC regulations?
Now there is no terms and conditions when I click on that page.

When can we expect more information what countries are banned and not allowed for registration and betting?
5957  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Holding in Companies on: October 15, 2020, 07:47:21 PM
if every government turns their back with cryptocurrencies these companies will be force to sell it all out leaving the whole market in awe.
No government has ever turned their face to any cryptocurrency, so there is not need to fear of them turning their back, but they just can't fight against Bitcoin, so only thing they can do is to make more regulations.
They are probably thinking like this - If you can't beat them, then better join them.
Companies invest in many things not only in Bitcoin, so they are not stupid to crash the market like that and even if they want to do taht it would not be so easy.

Had anyone asked yourself why they suddenly a of them starting announcing they bought them? Why they dont keep the old strategy buying a share and stay quiet. I never heard them talk they bought a Tesla share. But I am sure they have them.  To me it looks totally like a pump and dump situation. Whales are accumulating when price is cheap. And at the moment price start rising so they cant buy cheap anymore. But anyway their bags are quiet full already, they start shilling that coin so it pumps and then dumping start. Similar happened in first half of 2019.
What you saying is illegal for them.
Companies are not like bunch of guys who smoke joints and degen trade like that all day.
5958  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [LIST] Gambling sites with internal exchange on: October 15, 2020, 07:33:31 PM
What is their rate for exchanging coins and is there any fee for that?

If they are using some third party service for that like Coinswitch, than I am sure there is some fee.
Coinswitch charges fee from 0% to 0.49% but I am not sure about others, so you need to make calculations if you think about saving on withdrawal fees.

I know that Betfury has Changelly integrated for exchanging coins, so maybe you can add that to your list:
5959  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Coinbase sponsors two Bitcoin developers! on: October 15, 2020, 06:50:04 PM
Not sure if I will call it good.
You think Bitcoin developers live on air and that Bitcoin will never need new developers?  Grin
It's not like those two guys can make backdoor access just for Coinbase that none of other devs will notice...
Btw Adam Back liked this news and asking about it:
https://twitter.com/adam3us/status/1316808871801954306

US companies look good for extortion and predatory business practices, that could be brought across into cryptocurrency and cause a lot of chain splits.
Now that is a bit exaggeration don't you think so, putting all US companies in same basket and blaming them for chain splits?
5960  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Coinbase sponsors two Bitcoin developers! on: October 15, 2020, 06:38:51 PM
Great news from Coinbase that will sposnsor two Bitcoin core developers with first Crypto Community Fund grants.
Bitcoin started as open source without any initial funds and it is amazing that it survived and thrived for so many years, but new developers and projects are always good to have.

Example projects they will be supporting:
Quote
- Direct contributions to Bitcoin Core (e.g., improving testing, fuzzing, bug fixes, improvements)
- Significant code and/or Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) review
- Contributor tooling (e.g., bitcoinacks.com, which is open source)
- Bitcoin Core libraries and tools (e.g., libsecp256k1)
- Improvement to testing (e.g., fuzz testing, functional tests)

If you are Bitcoin Core developer you can apply or suggest someone HERE

Good move from Coinbase and I expect other crypto related companies to follow their example, and we want to see more interesting development around Bitcoin.
