how do i put in an order for one of the btcd anon cards? if orders havnt started yet, any idea when they will?

No orders yet, the details are still being worked out.  If you follow this thread, you'll know when they're ready to order Smiley
following intently! Grin

Yeah, me too. If this really works as intended it could be an aweomse fiat bridge.

I'm interested to see if these anon cards work in the US.  Federal law currently requires verification of social security number for purchasing reloadable prepaid debit cards.  As a result, the best anon card I know of right now in the US is to buy a non-reloadable $500 visa gift card with cash.

Requiring identity verification to put our own hard-earned cash onto a reloadable card is obviously an absurd violation of our right to privacy.......Oh well, that's just the way it goes in the land of hypocrisy I guess.
The land where buying a gun is easier than buying BTC is making this a challenge. The banks are being very slow, so we are thinking of two stages. It is possible to get a higher limit card sooner, but it will require ID. It is not a USA company, so they have no needs for any social numbers. It is like a halfanon card.

I suggested that this is a good stepping stone to the ultimate. It is a strange world we live in when it is taking as much time to make new crypto tech as it is for negotiating with banks to allow people to use the money they already have without requiring tracking devices being put in!

James

hi james,

is the half anon card a idea or is it already in work?

i would definitly prefer a card which i just need to purchase and then can load up with btcd, which then will be exchanged to fiat?

economics will become hard science when mankind will be able to simulate the human brain 1:1

the fh jülich has the most powerful supercomputer in europe and has the goal to build a simulation of the human brain until 2016/17 i think

That Doesn't sound Veri Democratic.

More coins = more votes. Humm!!

Why so? People who were putting more in the fund are risking more then people who didnt.
I think thats a good incentive for people to send vrc into the fund.
I.e. it would suck if a troll that has no vrc in the fund would have as much votingpower as me who put thousands of vrc in there... tbh that would be not veri democratic ughs

Please explain situation with dev posting as cryptowest.

Thanks. What was the news if you dont mind me asking. I know I should read on my own because I hate these questions in my threads. But this is 800+ pages so it might take me a bit.

VRC is apparently going to be a core coin of the SuperNET project. James, whom is the founder so-to-speak of SuperNET participates often on the VRC forum. This could be a game-changer once it comes to fruition.

P.S. - Welcome to the VeriCoin community!!

Basically what knox said. bitcointalk.com user jl777 aka "James" has been working on a pretty significant project here called SuperNET. Basically it's designed to unify alternate coins together under 1 system to increase the functionality and usability. He had an IPO type launch to raise some addtional funds over the weekend - something like 3,000-4,000 BTC. On top of that, going back to vericoin - the community joined together and raised a pretty good chunk of change ourselves (500,000+ VRC) to donate to the cause. James announced Sunday morning good things were coming for VRC.

I've been following vericoin since the end of June - been in and out a few times depending on the situation but I'd definitely say this is a big plus for vericoin. Long term goal of 1 year is to have the coin at least at .0005 now whether or not this can happen is another story Wink

But if you do any research on jl777 you'll find he's a really intelligent person, has a history of success, and has a pretty serious project going on with SuperNET.

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately that "info" is quite a bit scattered and you have to take it with a grain of salt... a very big one at that.

It is complex and difficult to put forward in a few words, but I'll try: jl777, "James" is a member of the Vericoin community and has a sizable (around 220k VRC) investment in it. He is also an "honorary dev", so to speak, self-bound to get Vericoin to join the core of the SuperNET project... in due time. It will be a few months, before he can get the code up to speed with the requirements the SuperNET imposes and, meanwhile, Vericoin and its devs will be acting as spokespersons for the SuperNET project. All of this has been enthusiastically supported by all but 2 of the members of this community, including the three devs who have generously donated to the initial requirement of James (an option fund of sorts). Given that the community and its devs came out with over 500k Vericoin "donated" to the fund in 48 hours, James exercised unparalleled generosity and reverted the fund entire to the community... so the funding continues in effect with a target of 2 to 2.5 million coins which, with the full support of the community, will be earmarked to acquire a stake in SuperNET in exchange for an investment of the SuperNET in Vericoin, in identical amount.

There are two targets (or thresholds), set by James, one to reach 0.0005 BTC per VRC in price, and another to reach 0.001BTC. Although the ETA is cloudy, all those targets and objectives can and should be accomplished along the next few months, 6 at most, but obviously there are no warranties.

I hope this synthesis reflects the current situation and projects -along with the ones that Vericoin had itself before "James" came in, of course-. For more detail, you should look for one the most recent posts by PNosker, one of the developers, in which he offered a nice update on what was actually taking place in the new roadmap of the development, since James arrived. It should be within the last 10 pages of the forum, I think.

Who are you and what have you done with barabbas?

I kid...I kid...Thank You for taking the time to respond in a kind and positive matter. In all seriousness +1 from me!

You are off the ignore list for now...hope it stays that way Kiss

This is the first I've heard of this; " will be earmarked to acquire a stake in SuperNET in exchange for an investment of the SuperNET in Vericoin, in identical amount."

My understanding is Yes the VRC community would have to vote on any expentitures from the contributed funds.
However what sounds like a "Stock Swap" or "you buy mine, I buy yours" is news to me.

Another issue is ( James has impressed me with his posts and writings) a  concept pertaining  to "Voting" on the expentures/uses of the Fund (536,042 VRC) by the  VRC Community. He  mentions a "weighted vote".
James, Please, if you would, elaborate on what "Weighted Vote"  means in this context  and how it would be implemented.

Hi james proposed it a few pages back.
About the voting. The weight will be the amount of coins. More coins = more votes
But i assume it only is for people who donated into the fund, but i guess you could discuss it
5949  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 11, 2014, 05:47:04 PM
If the Bank of England publication were to kick off a huge investment (huge for bitcoin, a mere punt for London billionaires & financial firms) - I'm guessing brokers would be called they wouldn't just send £XXX,XXX,XXX to bitstamp - so what would be the first indicators, how soon and how sharply would it show in the charts?

They would first buy off everything available off exchanges and probaly make contracts that guarantees bitcoins for a set duration.
Step 2 is going into exchanges to squeeze the last bitcoins.
Step 3 is frontrunning

We are at step 2 right now Wink

Some simple things about paypal integration:

1. 115+ million users.
2. 100.000+ merchants
3. 160+ billion transaction vol 2013
4. Huh
5. Profit

What why didnt each paypal user bought 1 btc already.... lmao

In all fairness the "James effect" has not produced just a 50% gain... The coin was in the low, very low 8, quite stagnant and with more probability of continuing down than up at all. The "conversations" between James and the devs took the price to the 10 level, so it was quite the first steps of the "James effect". Finally, the full announcement and immediate actions -i.e.- giving the donations to the community-, produced the frenzy that took the price to 19800.

Under any and all considerations, the "effect" has been -and continues being- extremely powerful, especially considering that VRC reached the top spot on Bittrex in volume and remains among the top most traded coins... all of this while dealing with the vocal skepticism of some AND, more importantly, the reality of  a sort of "waiting period" that, in crypto terms, is quite big.

With all these considerations -and others, including those who clocked profits and others that exited after recouping losses- taken into account, the price action is frankly encouraging, as it is the volume which brings awareness to the project, a project, mind you, that had been discounted as a failure by many that are now quite interested in keeping track of developments and that feel, like me, that it can have a future.

oh my, didnt though i would see something like that again after 2 months of derp from you.

i totaly agree with you....
gosh - my head is spinning  Cheesy

Well it only proves that you understand just one direction... something quite worrysome when that direction goes all the way to Palookaville... Think about it: From your standpoint, nothing has happened here during the last few days, nothing at all. Now think about that a little bit more, ok? You really, really need it. Because a lot, a huge lot, has indeed changed here with James' arrival. Consequently -please google that word-, my words reflect the new and quite different situation.

your clearly missed the point of my post or my english is just bad it seems......
just forget it

( but if you want to know: its the first post since 2 months from you that i agree to )

Anyways, nobody will answer, because the answer is obvious. People are desperate for price appreciation.

Anyways. Drink the koolaid folks. I am certainly not 1 to rain on anyone's parade. Infact, I CAN HONESTLY say I hope this is the next multibillion dollar coin.

I officially resign from VeriLeader, any and all involvement in VeriCoin ceasts today outside of my squatted domains.

gl in your future investments guys and gals.

Thanks and bye

" My baby coin VRC...but I dont own any vrc.." .b4c

Could someone answer my question about why VeriLeader's, and comunity members are asking him to pump the price?

I asked why people are looking to this anon person for leadership and here are 3 responses in 2 minutes...

x2 active members telling me I have no VRC

x1 active members telling me I'm a troll.

Anyone left in this thread with and self respect, or class that would mind answering the question please?

I said i didnt want to reply to you anymore but one last time:

Because you are straight up lying, spreading baseless accusations and calling names.

Read your last 10 post in this thread.

I could point everything out but it would take me atleast a hour to do so lol

If you are really interested in vericoin do yourself the favour and research everything about vericoin and supernet again.

Also why are you supporting monero and darkcoin?

i found something interesting in the terms of cryptsy

Quote
28. Staking Interest

Some Cryptsy wallets may provide staking interest rewards. Any staking rewards, conversions, snapshots, or likewise will become the property of Cryptsy.

It's time for a post to review ...

You put the integrity of VRC into a project with anon dev promising huge gains. What does jl777 lose by destroying VeriCoin if his plan doesn't work in the real world? Well, he actually profits big time in any case, so. Now that he has got VeriCoin by the balls, you are all under his control. He essentially just took over VeriCoin with a promise, and everyone jumped for joy, unreal!

I can understand the community jumped, the guy has been reasonably convincing with selling his waporvare. Also, the devs have been under tremendous pressure for weeks from ppl like yourself and me, and therefore they just wanted to be cooperative and do whatever it takes to move the coin forward, which willingness of being proactive is very respectable and a good sign for VRC bag holders.

However, the market see through this jl777 guy. No doubt he is a perfect opportunity for day traders like @Cryptopumping to make few hundreds BTC from this superNET nonsense, and therefore jl777 is having success on the market, but his vogue plan for VRC and that he will start delivering something in 2015 (btw he promised this for another 20 projects) had been immediately disapproved by the market. That's why

jl777 effect = 0.00012500 current price

This charlatan who felt it is important to let us know he has 2 million dollar, plus he will bring many-many whales into VRC, but he couldn't even pushed the price to 20k. What a clown is this jl777.

Buy4Crypto, if you love digital currencies and VRC, I mean if you are enthusiastic about these things which seems you are, then you should be relaxed - this jl777 guy will change nothing for none of them.

Vrc is doomed just dump it Smiley

But i guess u dont have that much anymore?

I can think of atleast 2 people able to do this and have a reason too. But without proof it would be just a accusation so i will just say this:

Coins are changing hands alot - the seller wont have much coins left to dump soon

(  btw look at bbr for example - the same happened there)
5960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][VRC] | VeriCoin | POS - NSDI | VeriBit | VeriSend | VeriSMS on: September 07, 2014, 09:55:41 PM
Few questions I would like to put forward to James.

So can anybody create services on the SuperNet or are we stuck with just these ones Teleport, InstantDEX, Tradebots (NXTcoinsco), Privatebetwill.

Also where do the fees paid for these services go, is it like Bitshares where the people who own the shares get a dividend. Is there a limit on the dividend also?

every feature a supernet core coin has is useable for every coin linked with supernet. ( each coin can even choose what features to use or not )
teleport for example is a service of BTCD.

the goal is making vericoin the door for fiat <> crypto - which stands in a line with vericoins vision from the start.
e.g. everyone who has fiat and wants crypto will use vericoin through supernet.

fees will go as dividends to supernet asset holders and to the supernet core coin community.
