I see now http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator gives the same result... BTC245

I see... i first wanted to check the weekly div. But since 100th pays out div so often i chose 1 day instead but forgot the week from before...

Hot news
First pieces from our last edition ( production run) with updgraded air  cooling
works even @ 500 Mhz - 7.7/8 Ghs

Whats the temperature with that? Arent there many hardware errors?
Sebastian,
The math is sample:

16x500 Mhz =8000Ghs (0%) 8/7.7 makes about 3.8% which is excellent result

It is indeed. Im only wondering... i run my bitburner at 450mhz and get 8.8GH for 20 chips miner. But when i go higher in clockrate hw is rising. When i raise voltage it gets even worse. Thats why i wonder what they did.
5963  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: September 20, 2013, 10:37:14 PM
Better use BitcoinX profit calculator...

1 day 55TH = BTC245

245/750000 = 0.00032666666

Strange... i thought the tool was valid... bitcoinX doesnt have other inputs that could explain the difference. At least not now when asics dont use much power cost.

Anyway... why the selloff? It looks like everything is crashing. Asicminer, Actimining, labcoin and 100th. While in fact 100th isnt standing very bad. With a shareprice of 0.14btc and the actually paid div it has 100% roi in one year. But people sell for some reason i dont see.

5965  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 20, 2013, 10:28:35 PM
Since wind mills have a power production of 4 to 7.5MW nowadays that means 2 wind mills alone could run the whole bitcoins network power usage world wide. I think its a good comparision.

Its a good sound bite for now, and certainly an acceptable reality, but this is  only because currently the biggest cost is still by far the hardware.

Over time that will evaporate and we will be left only with electricty cost.
~3600 BTC/hr * $130/BTC  / $0.1 Kw/H = 4680000KW or 4680MW

Not sure if your argument will still be as convincing if you have to say bitcoin even in its current infancy at  just $130 would require ~1000  large windmills and possibly close to 5x as much with russian electricy prices.

When i think about its correct when not taking the asicprice into account... even when the bitcoin reward is halved again and again... the bitcoin exchange price has to rise when bitcoin will be a worldwide currency at one time. That means the reward is again higher then and more power can be bought with it. So only a low bitcoin exchange price could lower the power usage.
On the other hand... the price for asics will settle at some point. That will be the newest and fastest asic with the best speed and low power usage. The production cost then will be the biggest limiting factor since all miners plan to get their investment back. I wonder if there is a problem then.
5966  Economy / Securities / Re: [PicoStocks] 100TH/s bitcoin mine [100th] on: September 20, 2013, 10:18:03 PM
I dont understand this security. And picostocks is far from being easy to read and use.

So there is a hashrate of 55TH mining? And the shareprice drops 55%? Dividends were yesterday at 0.00039383BTC per share for 750000 shares each? When i use http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator it tells me 55th should create 1719.09BTC each day. Thats 0.00229212BTC per day per share. Thats 17% paid out of potential 100%.

What happens?
5967  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: September 20, 2013, 09:59:08 PM
Now where did I see a comparison that said that one major bank central office used probably more electricity than all the bitcoin mining in the world ...

That can't be true, I would be surprised
OK lets try a wild estimate Smiley

I use less than 1KW to do well over 100GH/s
So lets go with 1KW for 100GH/s
That's a way over-estimate for some of the high hashing devices and a way under-estimate for any of the old devices anyone is silly enough to keep mining with

The bitcoin network is ~1PH/s
So that's like 10,000KW

That seem too high for a big bank's main data centre head office?
If it is then say how about 10 of them? Certainly not too high for 10 of them.

All guesses, but certainly makes that argument above seem far from certain.

Since wind mills have a power production of 4 to 7.5MW nowadays that means 2 wind mills alone could run the whole bitcoins network power usage world wide. I think its a good comparision.

nothing here yet

Bringt nicht wirklich was.

5972  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Argumente gegen Bitcoinkritik. Was denkt ihr darüber? on: September 20, 2013, 08:33:36 PM

5974  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy] Avalon ASIC Chips (SebastianJu) Batch 6 ordered (Closed) on: September 19, 2013, 05:10:47 PM
@Newar... as far as i know our chips are the next. And i didnt offer to sell assembly. I would ship the miners to everyone interested.

@francong & @Its About Sharing
In german thread someone will get a refund for 20 chips. If you francong can pay Its About Sharing for 40 and the other member meta_morph for 20 chips you would have exactly 60 chips again. I wouldnt need to be involved except telling burnin that the list i gave him changed. (Such game probably cant be played often)

Sebastian and francong - I still haven't gotten a reply from froncong.
I don't know if he is backing out of the deal as I haven't gotten a reply all day.

I'll give it some time but I'd like to know francong's plans.
If not francong please let me know as I'd like to find a board to put my chips in (hopefully Alex above (still)) and use Sebastian as the Escrow with BTC.

Thanks,
IAS

I sent you three a pm. Francong will send me the btc and i can send it to you, then take the chips from you 2 in exchange.

Ok. The chips are already at Burnins though, right?

Thanks for your help and availability. Without you, this would be a total mess.
Thanks a ton,
IAS

Yes, your and meta_morphs chips are at burnin already. I would notice burnin that your chips are moved to francong.

5977  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: THE TRILLION DOLLAR QUESTION on: September 19, 2013, 01:25:41 PM
* Regulations are done in usa and germany without problems since bitcoin companies want legal safety
* pirateat40 could be found and his bitcoins traced down
* Bitcoins are not anonymous for example for the NSA. They most probably know who even who satoshi is, Tor and all VPN of companies that have a connection to the USA are useless so it should be childs play with all the data they have to find out what happens in bitcoin network and with the IP's and all they dont have problems to find who owns what.
* germany, who is the biggest friend of nsa (snowden says) legalized bitcoins practically

So i think the secret services love bitcoins.

If the governments worldwide decide to block bitcoins then it will be practically dead of course. A currency that only can be used hidden is of not much use.

Thanks for the info.

I was more thinking if francong could not get chips and would be stranded with a 3 board order. It all seems to work out, though, that's good.

I already got 2 more offers for 60 chips from members that want a refund for 60.

Will noch jemand 60 chips refunden?
