5961  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 (within a month?) on: February 01, 2016, 01:15:55 AM
Sadly yesterday we see the price fall down to below 400 $, I wish it would bounce back to be stable above $400 levels very soon.

Well the price can fall even more i see it go to 300 easily.
It seems the whales are out of money/patience and the sellers are winning.

whales don't run out of money as they know very well what they do. people are simply not good in waiting and having patience to see the price go up steadily. they focus on quick profits only. that's why some people get bored and sell. people who have enough patience will be rewarded with a higher price. others who have sold because they were bored will buy back at higher price.
Whales are whales because they're smart enough to keep their money and deal with it responsibly and well.

I highly doubt that the bitcoin price is going to hit over 1k in price within a month - right now, there aren't enough natural means to be able to pump it to that price. I really don't think that'll happen.
5962  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: February 01, 2016, 01:08:12 AM
gold is way better than bitcoin to be honest, i think that i would choose it over gold because bitcoin is a better investment than gold i think

Either gold or BTC, which way are you at???
I guess you are biased on your own decision, or I should say you are not even deciding what to choose...
Well, bias is definitely going to come especially since we're a bitcoin forum... what, do you expect that many people to choose gold over bitcoin if there's already many people that support bitcoin here? If you go to a gold forum, then imagine how many people are going to support gold over bitcoin there!
5963  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin goes up very high should i buy a house? on: February 01, 2016, 12:03:01 AM
The answer is obvious. You should definitely buy a house if you have the chance to. Get something absolute with the money you've earned. An entire house! Obviously, though, don't get a crappy house if you can't help it. A good house or a house that you can remodel and make look great will get you a lot in the end, if you decide to sell it. Property value.
5964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ugliest gambling site? on: January 31, 2016, 09:28:07 PM
To be honest, the ugliest gambling website that ever seen by me is ShitDice. Not only their website is ugly af, the reward you will be paid by joining their signature campaign is ugly too!
No offense, ShitDice. But that is the truth.

The official announcement thread of ShitDice can be found here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1249761

I don't think anybody actually gamblers on that website. Also the background is messed up and you can't see any of the buttons even. I think it was created as a joke.
It was created by a joke, by DiamondCardz. It was aimed as a satirical site because of all the dice sites created with the same script, and no work done. Since there's a huge amount of those sites, he decided to do something about it in a hilarious way. Even profited a couple bucks off it, actually.
5965  Economy / Services / Re: Retype WW2 documents (scanned pdf) 0.0006 btc/page on: January 31, 2016, 06:33:21 PM
I dug deeper into the thread and collected the info's that are completed and are still pending.
Although nearly everyone has claimed every pdfs but they have not yet completed them after so long.

So here is the brief details about the completed vs pending pdfs.

Hope this helps for those who are looking to join here.
Best option is to finish the pending ones quickly and submit them before the claimer is done with it. Wink
That image is misleading Tongue
I did most of the company documents and somehow you list them as available lol

Bitspill, im waiting for your spreadsheet as i wanted to work again for weeks but don't know which claimed and which not Wink
I'm also waiting for an update on anything that isn't claimed. As for the future project, I'd be interested in being a part of that! Even if it's not completely about typing, menial work is easy!
5966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: January 31, 2016, 06:01:44 PM
I'm slowly changing my views on gambling recently. There is of course no safe method to gambling. You have a higher percentage of success and can even profit from it in the long run, if you choose sports betting or poker, but if you go for casino games, then it's o course all luck.

The thing is, and that is what I'm changing now, although there are no strategies for casino, because you just can't beat the house edge, there are betting systems or progressive betting systems that can help you in the short term, and will limit your losses if you are losing, and escale your profits if you are lucky, and that is exactly what you want when you are gambling in casinos.

So instead of wasting time in strategies to beat the house edge, spend some time creating a betting plan to boost winnings and limit losses. Like you normally do in the trade market.

And just to be clear, you will lose in the log turn, but can boost profit in short term if you are lucky.
Why not instead shift your attention to betting on odds, and more predictable outcomes? Nothing based purely on chance; look for sports betting and professional poker. Although there is still an element of luck, you can add your skill to the equation and you'll generally have a happier time with it. It'll also be more fun than relying solely on luck and possibly losing.

At the end of the day, the idea of the game is relying on a sucker to fund you. Once nobody stupid is there to try that, you're done.
5968  Economy / Auctions / Re: DustDice.com Auction - MoneyPot's Original App. || VISUALLY AMAZING on: January 31, 2016, 02:16:39 AM
Should note that 16BTC of profit for MP is still only 0.8 BTC of revenue for you.
Isn't it that you get half of the house edge every bet? If this is the case, then DustDice (from the new MP) has profited 1.25 BTC.
If the new owner changed to a profit-based system, then that's a shame. All I know for sure is that in the past DustDice has earned 14 BTC in profit for the owner (if my calculations are right, feel free to update on the finances, RayBrady)
5969  Economy / Auctions / Re: Old Reddit account. on: January 30, 2016, 11:52:53 PM
I guess I'll be the first to go with the starting bid! Hopefully nobody overtakes me and I'll have a sweet time Wink

I bid 0.01.

5971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 30, 2016, 07:01:25 PM
Yes everyone will lose money at the end, only some people have the luck to win a big amount that the lost will disappear. The problem is only some people have that luck the most lose a lot of gambling and never win it back.
although most people lost in the long run but they are still did a gambling because so much people really love gambling and most of them also does not care if they are lose and would did it again and again

Yes, its true as the house always win, you cant beat it , sometimes even not in small run.
I love to see how people feel crazy about gambling, but at the same time they know that they wont be able to win surely in long run.
It's because you're addicted to the jackpot high, gaining dopamine from the small victories. Most people get hooked because they win, not because they lose. If you lost every single bet from gambling when you first began, then you probably wouldn't continue. You would feel a lack of attachment. But, if you gain money...

5973  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: January 30, 2016, 04:24:17 PM
i dont think so.,it will be replace but not soon..will take along time to replace
for the future i think it can..but not really sure..
bitcoin just an internet money and dollar is a real money..
the main things in here not many people understand in btc especially our parents..hard to explain..

This is the most confused notion that people tend to have.  Dollars, Euro, and every other fiat system IS NOT REAL MONEY.

Central banks in every country creates what you think is real money out of thin air.  It's literally paper that doesn't represent anything of value, yet, it is supposed to be a value of whatever denomination it has on the note... which is backed up on the "trust of the government".

Money and the market systems is guided by the "invisible hand", which used to be backed by gold... now it is backed by nothing.  Every dollar you have in your wallet and bank account is essentially worthless in all actuality, just as of right now you need it to purchase real world goods and pay bills... but the hope is to be able to pay for goods, services, pay bills, pay taxes, etc with crypto (which will hopefully be backed by gold, as well as cold hard, fundamentally sound math.).
I love how everybody ignores this hard point. Definitely, this is important to know that the only reason that the paper money has value is because the general public perceives that it has value.

Being backed by gold, if every single person tried to cash out on the gold, there would not be enough. There's not enough gold to support all the printed money that is in the world. At the end of it, it's all worthless.
5974  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be Bitcoin Price After 3 months? on: January 30, 2016, 03:56:24 PM
If the price is unpredictable, why came you to the conclusion that there will happen nothing? This makes absolutely no sense  Roll Eyes

i guess nothing happen in the next 3 month because the bitcoin price is very unpredictable and no one could predictions the price with 100% correct and could be the price increase than the current price and it's possible too the price will down
Perhaps the "nothing happen" is to state that he is abstaining from an opinion. The bitcoin price is very volatile, but you can still make general predictions based on the way it's going. I personally would vouch for somewhere around ~500 in 3 months.
5975  Economy / Economics / Re: I'm not gonna sell any coin. on: January 30, 2016, 03:53:59 PM
i will not sell anything too it does not matter if the price will go up or down i will still hold and have bitcoins in my wallet, i hope that one day it will make me a rich person

But I have already sold all my coins and now I'll buy them when the price reaches below $350. I couldn't wait for long as I was in need of fiat. I don't trade in bitcoins and hence don't wait till I earn a lot of profit.

But what if the price doesn't dip below $350? You can't keep waiting forever - if you have the opportunity to invest, go for it. How much FIAT did you need, though? If you could have saved some bitcoins, then you should have. If the price continues to go up, you'll never be able to buy it if you are set on buying only when it's <350.
5976  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoins safe? on: January 30, 2016, 02:27:59 AM
I think if you are not sure about bitcoin, you'd better keep it in fiat money
because bitcoin is very volatile. you should be ready with all the possibilities that exist, including losses
1 BTC could be down cost only $ 100, it may be due to fluctuations
so you should know the risks
I agree, safe if not just about the physical security of bitcoin, like the wallet providers, but also include the volatility of bitcoin. If a currency is really volatile that it goes through hyperinflation, it is not safe as well. Bitcoin has reached a steady price, with some fluctuation, but still, better to keep most of your money in fiat and treat bitcoin like an investment.

Let just put it this way. The chances of bitcoin prices going down is greater than the chances of fiat (stable currency) prices going down. Although bitcoin is not as 'safe' in terms of the price, I do agree with all the advantages, so I trust bitcoin to be safe too.
And of course, the system behind it is also incredible and serves as its foundation. As more people see the innovativeness of bitcoins (more than today, where a lot of the information is that bitcoin is a criminal tool) there will be a lot more public demand and potentially a lot more supporters and advocators of bitcoin. We can hope that this happens in the near future, but there's no definite probability. At least in our current time we can try for some profits. I'm feeling bullish about bitcoin, all the time!
5977  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: January 30, 2016, 02:25:54 AM
Right now is the time to buy Bitcoin, and so I did. I managed to get in at the $368 price level which seems to me like a very good deal. I still have some funds left in my account for when the price comes down further.
for people who want to make profits in the short term, this might be a good time to buy some bitcoin in price $370
but for someone who buy bitcoin for a long period of time, perhaps 10 years, you can buy now or later, it does not matter
Indeed! But, if you really want to invest long-term into bitcoin, you can buy bitcoin right now, to potentially maximize your long-term profits. Hopefully all of us "early adopters" get to reap the benefits in the future, once the price goes up high!
5978  Economy / Gambling / Re: Moneypot just took a huge loss? on: January 30, 2016, 01:57:20 AM
It does seem a little bit sketchy to me, though. Perhaps some thorough investigation and people that are great at maths should go into the statistics of this.
5979  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Selling my BTC for € on: January 30, 2016, 01:49:30 AM
Vouching for this kind of transaction is meaningless anyway. Even if the transaction actually happened the buyer has no way of knowing if PP won't be reversed within the next 6 months.
A transaction would at least get rid of SOME doubt as to whether the buyer and purchaser are the same person. Though we don't know for sure, it could allow for some digging and we might be able to check if it's legitimate or not.
5980  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My Swing Developer / Hero account stolen - sold to Altcoin4Life in scam loan on: January 30, 2016, 01:39:39 AM
<snip>

You'll forgive us if we don't pity you for stressing out over something so inconsequential as a message board account. Your arrogance is not a good trait in this scenario, someone else has lost money because of your incompetence and you want to walk away for free. This is your fault at the end of the day, at the least you did not use a secure password on your account and at the worst you have stolen a loan.

There are two options that I can see: You pay altcoin half of what he lost to have the account returned or have the account returned for free, but receive a tsunami of negative rep making it useless.
Oh the fucking irony.  This is totally scammer logic--if you're too stupid to keep your stuff locked up, it's OK to steal it.  It's his account, period.  All the other whining and bargaining that Altcoin4life is doing is trying to put unwarranted blame on the scam-ee.  Swingdev might have been lax, but that's the extent of the blame on his end.
Altcoin was only exacerbating the situation. In reality, there is no point of trying to sell it back to Swingdev. By returning the account, it shows good character and although 0.13 BTC is a lot of money that had been lost, it can be recoverable. It'll just make you look bad.

At least Altcoin4life is returning the account. Props to him for recognizing the situation.
