The Champions League draw today that defines every remaining team in the competition's route to the final is a difficult one for the bigger teams and favours the supposed smaller teams to make it to the final in Istanbul.

One of Napoli, AC Milan, Benfica and Inter Milan will surely make it to this season's final while one of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester City and Bayern Munich must eliminate the other three teams to make it to the finals. Neutrals are gonna like it while fans of the respective bigger clubs are gonna be nervous. What a time to be football fan
5962  Economy / Economics / Re: War: who benefits and how! on: March 17, 2023, 12:39:59 PM
To me, I think that the heavy destructive effects of war to humanity is far beyond any perceived benefit anyone can think of because during war, innocent children who are absolutely ignorant of the contentions that led to war are being in killed in cold blood.

That being said, there are people or nations who does wish for other nations or people to engage in war because of the huge economic benefits they're going  to derive when these wars happen. Some nations go as far as inciting violence and war with documentaries of past historical sad events thereby refreshing the wounds of the disadvantageous nations and make them to take actions in they think can be take to revenge their past horrors.
5963  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you survived during covid19 ? on: March 17, 2023, 09:19:13 AM
My experience about the Covid19 was not a bad one I must say. After the breakout and the introduction of new safety guidelines was announced in my country, it became obvious that the best place for me to live at time was to relocate to my village from the big city I was living in

My village is a remote setting where most inhabitants never believed that Covid19 was real and that's why social distancing was not practiced there. People were going about their daily business which is mainly agricultural farming without any fear for the virus and they only problem we had at that time was unavailability of products that were used to be shipped in from the developed city because of the transportation ban.
5964  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 17, 2023, 08:55:21 AM

Liverpool is one club that can be unpredictable, One moment they are playing very classic game and the second moment they start having defensive errors. Fulham isn't meant to be a big game for Liverpool but we have had several moment this season where Liverpool played better against Big teams and went all loosed against smaller ones. I wish Liverpool were reliable enough to make big stakes on.

Liverpool literally scored all of them goals against Manchester United already (7-0) believe me they'll find it difficult to score against Fulham during the weekend fixtures. Fulham are also fighting hard for the spot of European Competition next season don't even expect them Fulham to slow down for Liverpool, no that wouldn't work.

If Liverpool wants to get back to good days then they have to go back to the signature of new players, Henderson, James Minler, Chamberlain, they all need to leave the club for youngins to come in. Tough test against Fulham I must say.

Liverpool has been very inconsistent this season and that has cost the the Champions League and  the premier league as a matter of fact they're even struggling to make it to the top four which I don't think is realisable even when it's not impossible

But their match against Fulham this weekend I don't think is gonna give them so much concerns. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to Fulham nor am I underrating them but Liverpool will be playing like a wounded lion and I don't think Fulham has what it take stop them from victory
5965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 17, 2023, 08:43:30 AM
So it's a bit difficult to say Arsenal were ultimately thwarted by the mediocare team, but that's the end of the story of Arsenal's journey in the Europa League this season. Only Lol, people are even too sure that Arsenal advanced to the final this season.

I've said it was a difficult game for Arsenal because I believe Sporting will do everything to score goals. Granit Xhaka's goals were good, but Pedro Goncalves's was absolutely the best all season. Of course it was disappointing home match for Arsenal, tragic after being favorites this season to reach the final and win the Europa League. So now Arsenal only have to focus on maintaining their points advantage in the Premier League by playing well and avoiding defeat. The odds are good, but I think they will definitely be affected by the failure of the Europa League.
Arsenal was last night ousted from the UEFA Europa League by Sporting in a match that they put up a good performance and that's because Sporting gave us similar display but with greater determination and unperturbed resilience and that stunning equalizer summed up how eager they were to win the tie.

Arsenal are are not gonna be happy with the result but their feeling with the result of the match isn't gonna stop Sporting's glory of been the better side of that match.
Arsenal still has a good season to protect and that's by going on to win the premier league and now that they're out of the Europa League is an added advantage
5966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 16, 2023, 10:52:05 PM
But that is extremely theoretical! Wink Because it is based on the assumption that Napoli loses six games while the 2nd wins every single game that is to be played from now on. For every game that the teams behind Napoli lose, Napoli can also lose another game. Given how the table looks like right now, I would argue that even every draw is like a win for Napoli. Every single point helps them keep the distance even when the other teams win five games in a row. Also, there are a lot of games between the contenders as well. Roma is against Lazio and Inter is against Juventus this weekend. They will dropping points no matter what. Inter is actually facing every team from the top except for AC Milan. Sorry but there is no way this can still take a turn.
Considering how often teams from the top of the standings lose points, we can already congratulate Napoli on winning Serie A. 18 points is too big a gap, besides that Napoli are still in great shape and do not even show signs that they can drop points in Serie A. Well actually Inter don't have to play Juventus to lose points, they can do that with any team, Lazio and Milan are even less stable in this regard.
The battle for who wins the Italian scudetto this season I think is 75% over and that's because I don't see any reason why Napoli won't win the league title this season

Napoli's performance in the league this season has been great and they are still playing extremely well in the Champions League. They don't have serious injury concerns to their first team players as well

It'll take a disaster to happen to this Napoli team for them to lose the title
5967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 16, 2023, 10:43:42 PM

It should be easy, but learn from Borussia Dortmund, which failed to get +3 points against the worst team in the Bundesliga, Schalke 04, did not rule out with Bayern Munich. Moreover, Leverkusen who will be their opponent next week
This is interesting because the competition for the top of the Bundesliga standings is not as usual, this season Bayern and Dortmund is competing to dominate the Bundesliga.

In Germany, the race is currently between Dortmund and Bayern Munich they are really close to each other, while currently, Bayern Munich is in first place in the table but still if they lose any game and Dormound wins another game they can lose their position on the table because the gap between these two teams is just two points which really low, and there are many games left for this season.
Even so, to be honest I didn't have high hopes for Borussia Dortmund, and I think everyone knows my reasons why I don't really trust Borussia Dortmund. In fact, this season they had many opportunities to be at the top of the table when Bayern Munich dropped a lot of points, but at the same time they also did the same as Bayern Munich, so they could not take advantage of the conditions that their competitors were experiencing when they lost stability a little.
Borussia Dortmund's performance in the domestic league  this season has been great. They've played like a team that's very hungry for title but actualizing that is what I think is not gonna happen.

Bayern Munich is a team with quality world class players at their disposal and I don't see them relinquishing the league title this season. They qualified for the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League competition with ease against a side like Paris Saint Germain and still focused to retain the title again this season.
5968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: March 16, 2023, 10:32:34 PM
At the moment Real Madrid's chances of becoming champions are no greater than Barcelona, but they are still in the Champions League, so in theory they will definitely focus more on the Champions League than La Liga. Because when they hope for La Liga at the same time they also have to wait for Barcelona to lose a lot of points and that is a difficult thing to happen. Especially now they also want the title after several seasons they failed to get it.

Real Madrid seems to have to give up La Liga to Barcelona this season. And for the Champions League I can't say if Real Madrid managed to conquer the Champions League again this season. There have been many doubts about their performance in the UCL this season, based on the participants not much has changed from last season's quarter finals, but in terms of performance there have been changes.
There are always even many people who doubt Real Madrid in the Champions League, but don't be surprised when they are able to answer the doubts pinned on them with the title, like last season for example. In fact, I see the opposite now, last season many clubs had far-reaching strength compared to Real Madrid, I see a decline from several clubs that are Real Madrid's competitors this season. I don't mean to doubt them, it's just that compared to last season I would say they are better than this season. Meanwhile, Real Madrid are at the same level (in this Champions League), but we'll have to wait and see how their competition will be in the top 8 round later.

Talking about the competition for the top 4 rankings, it seems that Atletico Madrid are not really safe now, yes they can still catch their points in just 2 matches if they lose. Reat Betis and Villarreal are still a threat because more than 10 games is the number of games that will change everything. For a while they can sit comfortably, but they must not let their guard down and must stay focused on their goals, especially winning every week.
After eliminating Liverpool yesterday in the Champions League, the Real Madrid are are gonna tell themselves that that they can put up great performances in the remaining matches of the La Liga fixtures and overtake Barcelona thereby lifting the Spanish title at the of the season.

But taking nothing away from this fantastic Real Madrid team, I don't see them dethroning the Barcelona from the summit of the table this season. The league title is all that Barca got at the moment which is why they'll be playing with all composure, seriousness and desire.
5969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: March 16, 2023, 10:23:41 PM
In principle, the match was absolutely equal, except for Pedro's goal, there was nothing interesting. Arsenal opened the scoring, they were answered in the second half and that's all, I think the final result will be in extra time. But actually Arsenal looks a little bit unconfident, as if they were unprepared for this match. Maybe it's better if they lose, in that case they can focus on the Premier League, the situation there is also difficult
If you look at the stats, you will see that Sporting more dominates the match, they won the ball possession and made more shot attempts. In 2nd half, Sporting tried to play more aggressively, they have better chances to attack Arsenal. While Arsenal has changed some important players, they are not as aggressive as in 1st half anymore.

However, I don't think it is better for Arsenal to lose this match. They should qualify for the next round. They mustn't focus on EPL only, who knows if Man City overtakes them in EPL. They must try to reach the next round in Europa League, I think the title of this competition is also prestigious.

Arsenal are not showing any signs of losing this match tonight and that's because they really need the the Europa League and break the jinx of not winning an European trophy this season.

Sporting is hungry for goals they play with severe determination in other to make sure that they win the match. It's not actually easy to be play a scored draw and force the game to extra time while playing Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

It's a tough match and enjoyable to a neutral. I think Arsenal are gonna win the match regardless
5970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 16, 2023, 10:14:20 PM

Paris Saint Germain got lots of superstar payers and much more investments compared to the other teams so I guess for the other teams like Marseille and Monaco it's difficult to get close to them, however after they lost in the champions league, Neymar got injured and Messi going to leave, PSG's atmosphere is not good like the other days and I guess there is a chance for them to lose some points during the games they are going to have.
Paris Saint Germain has so issues since they crashed put of the UEFA Champions League, ranging from Neymar's injury Messi uncertainty to remain or leave the club at the end of the season but that I think shouldn't give any of their French Ligue 1 rivals any hope to think that they can do anything to stop them from becoming French Champions this season.

The teams problem isn't about the domestic but their continuous failure to lift the world's biggest club football title and that I think is because of their tactical indiscipline which why the current manger must be released from his duties to pave way for a better manager to come in
5971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 16, 2023, 10:02:21 PM
It's a pity for Haaland. Pep's decision to take him off so early is probably to avoid breaking the record. It makes no sense to take off a player who has scored 5 goals on the way to a new record. What Pep did is very wrong and from what I see on social media there is a big lynching.
I didn't expect it to be so easy but I expected City to have a comfortable game at home, I thought they wouldn't push any harder when they had a comfortable score in the first half but it wasn't like that. They kept scoring goals in the second half.

Pep Guardiola's de

Yes, maybe he did wrong, but a player like that still has a lot of time to break all the records, he is young and apparently he is not going to give up his position, I'm sure he will break those records. As for the other matches, they were quite boring I think, madrid and liverpool played with a minimum score, amazingly, liverpool already 4 times in a row leaves the tournament thanks to Real Madrid
Pep Guardiola's decision to take off Erling Haaland was absolutely deliberate and he admitted it the the post match conference yesterday citing that he's too young to break Leo Messi's record of most goals scored in a single UEFA Champions League match.

Guardiola's love for Leo Messi can never be over emphasised despite the fact that he's stopped managing him for since a decade ago. He still wants him to be respected as the best player ever in the history of football. I would have be infuriated by that substitution I was the one in question but I love the way the young lad managed the situation
5972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 16, 2023, 09:51:10 PM
Correct me if i am wrong but i never heard any news if Klopp failed bringing Liverpool to playing at champion league then he will be sacked and Liverpool owner will indeed sell this team but it is not stated that it will affect Klopp position in the team and currently the competitions between the team for top 4 in premier league is very tight that at least 3 teams including Liverpool will compete to gets and finish on that position

Indeed since Klopp train this team Liverpool always be playing on champion league since season 2016-2017 and they were never out from top 4 until now so Klopp have do more efforts and make Liverpool more consistent if want to finish on champion league zone at the end of this season
Most chances current or new management will not sack Jürgen Klopp because they all know how things were difficult in this season with injuries and few players were not able to perform their best even right now they are still had chance for the Champions League which is challenging, but they still can achieve this target if they are able to fix their problems in last few years Klopp done amazing stuff here, so just one season is not solid reason to sack him from this job as he still can do things at their best in near future.

Currently, they are having next three matches which will decide can they achieve their fourth spot or not because they are going to visit Manchester City then Chelsea and hosting Arsenal all tough matches in coming weeks if they will have good results then surely Tottenham and Newcastle United will be under pressure otherwise they have to wait for the next season to be better and have their spot into top four now April is surely going to decider.
Liverpool's inconsistent performance this season has really affected the club especially one of the best in the club's history in the person of Jurgen Klopp. Before his arrival at Anfield Liverpool were struggling in the premier league  and over the seasons that he's been training the team, he has done a great job by transforming the Liverpool team to very competitive team tin the league. They've played in two UEFA Champions League finals
during his time and he was able to lift the league title for the club that was first time in 3 decades.
So no matter where they finish in the league at the end of the season,  the clubs heirarchy I think will still back him to remain at the club
5973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 16, 2023, 09:36:01 PM
now the previous rumors regarding Barcelona and Madrid being interested in Julián Alvarez had to be heartbroken. because it was played quite rarely, many fans thought there would be no contract extension between Julián Alvarez and Man City. but the latest news is that both of them agreed to extend their second contract which is quite long. hopefully, he has enough opportunities to play in the squad. it would be good for him rather than too much to sit on the bench.

Although Manchester city is a big club but I don’t see the reason why Alvarez had to agree to such a long term contract so fast. He should have waited till summer and listened to offers from Barca and Madrid. I see him fitting into both teams or better still other top clubs. With Halaand still in the club and on current form he might see little of playing minutes. As for Manchester City I think a wise thing by giving a long term contract. Sooner or later we would see Halaand been purse by galaticos like Madrid so having such an exciting striker on Their team is good
Julián Alvarez' acceptance to extend his contract with city simply tells us that he's happy to be a second choice top 9 striker because Manchester City's regular formation doesn't give room for two no.9 strikers to be playing at the same time.

His chances of making huge impact on a City shirt for himselfis very limited because Guardiola's main man is Erling Haaland, the hottest striker in European big 5 leagues at the moment and Haaland is isn't even dropping form anytime soon going by the way he's banging goals.
I don't think Alvarez got his decision right but he knows why he decided to stay and that should be respected

Fenerbahce just wasnt able to pull through against Sevilla that is really weak this season. Sevillas results were just terrible but in their history of the club they always play good in europe league and i wouldnt be surprised if they end up somehow winning the title again
Sevilla performance has improved in the several matches they have played, so it is only natural that they have been able to put up a stronger resistance in every game. well, from the results of the match earlier, Fenerbahce had a pretty good chance in this match but unfortunately the effort they put in in this match was only able to score 1 goal which has not been able to change the final result, because in the first leg they lost 2-0. with the result of the match earlier the aggregate score was 1-2 and sevilla qualified for the next round.

but I see that Sevilla will have more complicated difficulties in the next round if they get stronger opponents from their squad so that the hope for Sevilla may be small enough to be able to win the Europa League trophy.
Sevilla overall performance this season has been poor when compared to their performance in recent  years. They have really struggled their domestic league this season but when it comes to UEFA Europa League, we shouldn't forget that they are the most successful club in history. They know how to play the Europa League and that's why nobody should underate them despite the fact that the havenpt really played like the Sevilla we used to know this season.

I won't be too shocked to see them cruise to the final and still life the trophy because they surely knows how to do it
5975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 16, 2023, 08:26:11 PM
Napoli have made it to the quarter finals and I'm wondering what team they will have a matchup against. I would really like to see Napoli facing one of the biggest title contenders left because Napoli's performance in such a matchup would give us a better idea about them in the Champions League. Actually I know they faced Liverpool in the group stage. One of those matches were a pure destruction by Napoli.

But Liverpool haven't had a good season anyway so I wonder how strong Napoli can play against teams like Real Madrid, Manchester City and Bayern Munich. Real Madrid would be their biggest counter I assume. Napoli might have even a bigger chance against the other two teams.
Napoli will likely meet Benfica or Chelsea. I don't know how it will happen but I just know it may happen. And right now, I think the only team that I so much dread is Bayern Munich. I will be so impressed if Bayern meets Napoli or real Madrid cuz I really can't see any team that is capae of Eliminatimg Bayern Munich from the Champion league as it stands, exception of Napoli and real Madrid. Manchester City is not to be trusted at the moment,  though they will do well has they have fort to this stage. Napoli may Eliminate Bayern if luckily such should happen in the quarter final.
5976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 16, 2023, 08:20:08 PM
For a long time there was a news that Neymar is going to leave PSG. Now, not only Neymar, but the two big stars of PSG, Lionel Messi and Mbappe, have decided to leave the PSG club. Mbappe has already started contact with Real Madrid, but Mbappe is now ready to move to Real Madrid, although he has fewer opportunities than before. Lionel Messi is likely to join Barcelona if Mbappe joins Real Madrid.  And Neymar can be seen in any of the three clubs Chelsea Manchester United or Manchester City of the English Premier League. Messi and Mbappe made the decision after PSG lost against Bayern Munich.
It is no surprise to me because I know Mbappe's decision to extend his contract with PSG was to win the Champions league but with PSG getting eliminated again this season it feels like many have lost faith in the club's champions league ambitions and are now looking to leave the club in search of greener pastures. It will be my delight seeing Kylian Mbappe make a switch to Real Madrid, PSG is just one over hyped club.
Mbape will have no choice than to leave to Madrid. But real Madrid in the other hand is an unpredictable club for stars.
While some stars move there and become very successful for some seasons and thereafter leave to another club, some only go there to meet injury and bench till their ambition diminishes then they get sold out in big amounts.
I am praying Mbappe doesn't fall a victim. But seeing that he is quite a talented player who has a burning desire to make records, I think real Madrid will be good for him just like his icon CR7
5977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: March 16, 2023, 08:07:31 PM
I don't quite agree with your statement. Each of us uses a different strategy in both sports betting and casinos. Think about it - even playing without a strategy is a strategy that ultimately leads to winning or losing. In general, a professional bettor who sticks to his strategy, in the long run will be more productive than a bettor who bets, as he thinks, without any strategy.

You're contradicting yourself a little bit here.
Is playing without a strategy a strategy or not?

And don't conflate strategy with profitability. As mentioned over a million times in this thread already - having a strategy doesn't guarantee profits. In fact, in most cases, it guarantees losses (for classic casino games). With that in mind, I can easily imagine a casual, for-fun gambler outperforming a strategy-focused one in "productivity" (aka losing less money).

Most gamblers that lose are gamblers that apply too much strategy and this is gamblers with low staking strength. Guruz doesn't apply too much strategy,  they select a few games and stake a good amount. Gamblers like this don't predict beyond a win, a win or draw (double chance) or a straight draw. And you will see that the fewer the games the fewer the risk, and it works more easily for them than the average gambler with too many predictions and strategies. I think this is where he means,  " no strategy is a strategy".
5978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 16, 2023, 07:24:17 PM
Bayern Munich and Dortmund are likely to pull away from the others for the league title race.
Yes they will, it was three teams that were in the bundesliga title race, Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Union Berlin. But i think from now on the race will be between just Bayern munich and Dortmund, Union Berlin is not too far away from them though, but they are inconsistent and i feel it will continue. Leipzig, Freiburg and Union Berlin are all on 45 points each, and they are going to challenge themselves for top four, Bayern and Dortmund will surely take the first two positions, though i don't know who would be first, then the remaining two positions will be filled by two of the three teams on 45 points each.
The season was quite unfriendly,  so much surprises came up in the start of the season. But Bayern Munich we're still showing signs of interest as a well known team in the league,
followed by Freiburg and Berlin. I never saw Dortmund in the picture. Dortmund does not have the resources currently needed to fight for the trophy.  I don't see any race in the German Bundesliga. Dortmund is taking a late move, if they weren't serious they wouldn't sell out their stars. The recent form they have will not take them anywhere than qualifying For champion league next season and maybe leading the top 2 standing if Leipzig,  Berlin and Freiburg allows.

Even if Betis are playing in home, the man united in seeing tonight is not what I expected. Manchester United in the last match against Betis were more in control of the game than this. I'm beginning to sense that Ten Hag's Strategy today is to guide against conceding goals and it's really affecting the boy's game play. They find it difficult to dwell with ball and play at their free will, Al I see is fear and overly emotions.
Real betis seemed to be more confident than MU in the first 20 minutes which is not supposed to be so.
5980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 16, 2023, 06:56:38 PM
PSG are just getting close to announcing their championship in the league every week. The gap with Marseille has become 10 points already.

I don't see any way Marseille are catching up with them from now on. Because they aren't even consistent these days. After losing to PSG home this time they got a draw against Strasbourg home. Balerdi's incident just finished them. Strasbourg aren't even one of the decent teams in the league this season. They are trying to hold onto the Ligue 1 not to relegate. Marseille need to play more carefully in such games to finish them without point loss.
Inconsistency is the key problem for Marseille as they failed to grab three points in league games which could have boosted them closer to PSG. While PSG dominates their home league, there isn't a very competitive fight for the Ligue One championship this year. Marseille was the lone rival for the Parisians, but it appears that they were unable to catch the men of Christophe Galtier. There is a significant 10 point difference between Marseille's 17W, 5D, and 5L in 27 games this season and PSG's 21W, 3D, and 3L. The indications are that PSG will win the title once more this season as this campaign draws to a close.
It is not new. Marseille has never been more consistency than u have seen them, that is just the nature of the league. French league one is just like the german Bundesliga. Nothing is new, one can predict who will be the champions cuz Just few clubs are known for the title. But unlike German Bundesliga, the competition isn't tough, it's the more reason PSG keeps dominating.  But in Germany Bundesliga, there have always been tough contenders every season but Bayern Munich stands out to be the king of the jungle. Nothing is new in French league, Marseille will not do more than you see
