Research.
A very simple tip but if taken seriously this will save the newbies a lot of money and time. There will be no more victims if they are doing that but the sad thing is that many of them still becomes a victim of these scammers because of being lack of knowledge and doesn't have the initiative to research first about a project they are looking at.
5962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Have you ever tried contract trading? on: January 08, 2020, 09:37:21 PM
What does that S means attached to USDT? I don't understand what this contract trading all about. From what I've seen, it's just a ticker and tab on the website that has two options.
  • Real Trading
  • Simulation

S stands for simulated pair. Least i think that would be most obvious answer. Contract trading is a form of leveraged trading and can be highly profitable and dangerous, because you can lose all your money if you don't have a plan on risk management.
Thanks, I thought that there are some other meanings about that. I didn't thought that this was exactly the meaning and purpose of this thread. So basically the name is just different and this was really close to what leverage trading is. I think this isn't for everyone that's good with taking risk because it can be good for the experienced ones and bad for inexperienced ones. There should be some warnings on the website upon clicking that to remind that this isn't for everybody or if the user really wants to proceed with caution.
5963  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrew 60k USDC from Binance and it doesn't show on etherscan. Lost 60k???? on: January 08, 2020, 09:10:54 PM
Looks like the client provided binance address and thats why its not showing on blockchain but actually transfered internally from Binance account to binance account. Sent client internal transfer ID and they are now checking there binance account, once they confirm, we are all set.

Thank you all these amazing people here on the forum.
Exactly, just provide the transfer or internal transaction ID to him and tell him that the transaction went successfully. Now that this is all set and good, you might want to lock the thread.

Reply from binance below:

Thanks for reaching out.

As per checking, we noticed the transaction 6145405817 has reached the target account successfully. Please be advised to check the deposit history in the receiving account to confirm.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any further questions.

Best Regards,
Binance Support Team
This means that the transaction was sent successfully. In which address is the receiver? You haven't mentioned the receiver's ethereum address so let's take a look in it if it's truly successfully been sent. But it's Binance rep that verified the transaction so it should be already on the receiver's address.

Address to which withdrew is 0x5aef590cffd215be0f75b70a868af7521b9d776b
CMIIW, this is from Binance right? if so, please provide your client's receiving address.

This is the other transaction that I can see with $60K USDC

5967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Altcoins Won't Moon Can't I Just Short the Hell Outta Them??? on: January 07, 2020, 10:59:30 PM
Hey look to the market again, everything is going green so before you miss this out and the plan that you already have of shorting them. See and how much you've gain if ever you have done what you are suppose to do. I don't know about that platform and probably you're one of the few that knows it here but again I say, go and look to the market now and check if the altcoins you are holding is also affected positively of the market pump lately.
5968  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin have a price increase before the halving like we saw in 2016? on: January 07, 2020, 10:39:24 PM
We can expect for the chances because the similarity of the past halving and the one that we're having right now is showing. I'm confident that it will actually increase soon but better if we'd go and look for the future effect instead of the before-effect of the halving.
We knew what came next after the halving last time and this is more intriguing and exciting at the same time because we're talking about thousands of gains.
5969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Website that will tell you how rich you really are? on: January 07, 2020, 09:58:13 PM
I don't know a website like that but upon searching you can see for websites like this for ethereum and bitcoin, I think this is similar to what you're looking for but haven't found that feature that you want.

Just checked the virtual sports, it's interesting if you've been looking for horse racing games. By looking at the dashing derby, I thought it wasn't a virtual one but a real one.
I've seen bettors before asking for this game and I think it's good for them to check this out. There are other virtual racing games too and it's entertaining. The "virtual racing" game upon loading says "something went wrong".
5971  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 07, 2020, 09:16:46 PM
~

McAfee is a paidshill.

Plain and simple. Anything comes out of his stupid mouth has zero value. None.
Yeah, exactly.
It's what he did during the bull run when he was tweeting altcoins as part of his pump and dump promotion which was effective for those altcoins that wanted to gain attention from the traders and investors. But with his prediction about bitcoin, I think he's carried away because we're all seeing a bull run.
5972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee backs out of his $1 million bitcoin prediction on: January 06, 2020, 12:42:01 PM
Just like the expectation of many that he'll soon back it out. He completely doesn't know what he's saying, it's all about the things that comes to his mind and show it to public to gain attention.

So obviously, the price won't even breaks the 6 digit mark.
It will but not this time, there's a perfect time for it and it will naturally go there in the right time.
5973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What matters most to online casinos? on: January 06, 2020, 11:39:47 AM
To go to the casino there are several types of people, but what I know is that people go to the casino more to look for pleasure. Casinos are not like ordinary gambling establishments, there are a number of things besides gambling and casinos to my knowledge are usually visited by business people.
But you haven't answered the factor of what a gambler would look for the feature of the casino. It's a very given reason why most of the gamblers are going to every casino, to have fun, pleasure or money. To make it short, the question is about what is the thing that make the gamblers stay to a certain casino. Is it the feature, is it the customer service, is it the games or something like that. The financial security of a casino is what op has mentioned but I think it's the casino itself, their attitude towards their customers which goes with the support.
5974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What altcoins are you bullish about in 2020? on: January 06, 2020, 10:32:29 AM
7. Bitcoin (obviously because of halving, but if you think halving won't affect price, do let us know)
8. Ethereum (if they eventually meet any of the major milestones this year)

Do tell if any of these are currently undervalued. Feel free to throw in one or two other altcoins you think are bullish. Don't forget to drop a hint of why you think it's going to be bullish.
But bitcoin isn't an altcoin. Bitcoin and Ethereum are currently undervalued so if you're asking what altcoin should we be bullish about for this year, it's no question that it should be Ethereum. Everyone awaits for the updates regarding the POS transition and it's a very interesting call for the investors while we're seeing it under the price of $150. It has reached a huge amount during the all time high and it should be one reason why everyone is getting hyper on it.
5975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decisions for a better life on: January 06, 2020, 09:51:06 AM
Of course, there's no debate and options here, it's always our families that's why we've tried playing to be able to give our loved ones a better future and hope for it. There's no way anyone can prefer gambling over their families, perhaps there's but a total idiot and a total gambling addict doesn't have self-control. To have a good life you need to know when to save money and when to gamble.
It's debatable if there are certain situations that we have to consider. We thrive to work for the future of our life and as well as our family so if you're in the good race of your career why you would give it up to give them the best life that they can later? I think it's a very tricky question and you can apply every answer base on your reasoning and the possible future situation that you may see. Anyway it's an opinion based answer so there's no wrong nor correct.
5976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin could reach $100,000 in 2020: Ross Ulbricht on: January 06, 2020, 07:39:59 AM
Historically saying, $100,000 is plausible. People from 2011 to 2016 didn't even thought that bitcoin will hit $20,000 on 2017.
This is somewhat true, there was a time i never thought that the price of bitcoin will not hold a price above a thousand dollars rather i thought we would see uneven rallies for a long time but things have changed drastically and the 2017 rally was expected but i never thought it will rise to the levels we saw, so the market is always unpredictable, i am expecting all these valuations but not anytime soon.
You seem to be an early adopter of bitcoin. And that's the reality and mindset of everyone way back then and we can think of the same thing as we have right now. We're all thinking that it's unlikely to happen but comparing to the past pattern and charts of bitcoin, there really is a chance that it will happen. I'm holding onto that hope and a single bitcoin is already enough but if you want more, you can hold as many as you want until that day comes.
5977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: two gambling games that are players favorite on: January 04, 2020, 07:35:15 PM
Poker needs a lot of practice and it’s important to be skilled if you want to make money in it. I like Dice and cards as they are relaxing games and since childhood, I am used to playing it. We will have to control our emotions and never lose your patience if you are earning or losing because self-control is the most important thing in gambling.
It's important with poker but it's also okay for players that wants to enjoy. If the money at stake isn't that much and you want to gain experience, you can play and practice with that amount. You don't have to be scared of losing because it is part of it. It's not just for making money but just like other games and reasons, you can have fun with poker and for me, it's really enjoyable. But if you think that it's getting too much for you, yes, control.
5978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin could reach $100,000 in 2020: Ross Ulbricht on: January 04, 2020, 01:50:11 PM
It is everyone's dream to see bitcoin reach $100,000. You hold 1-10 bitcoins and you're already financially free with your life and enjoy the money you'll get from it.

although $ 100,000 is crazy value, but based on the history, I am still optimism it would.
Historically saying, $100,000 is plausible. People from 2011 to 2016 didn't even thought that bitcoin will hit $20,000 on 2017.

I can't give a straight about this because I don't know much about Elrond. But if you want to be on staking, choose those coins that are very popular lately and has a very strong support from the community and also to the exchanges where it's listed. With those popular staking coins, you have assurance that you are safe although I'm saying that I still don't have idea about Elrond.
5980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with Fiat or Crypto? on: January 04, 2020, 10:35:12 AM
Spending cryptocurrency on gambling is similar to the spending to do with fiat on a grocery store. This makes people prefer bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies for gambling than fiat. Getting used to cryptocurrency on gambling is very simple, because we've got lot and lot of gambling websites specifically functioning with different cryptocurrency acceptance.
Same as with gambling with fiat, we have a lot of choices to choose from if you want but they are stricter in implementing rules and regulations because of the local law that they have to comply. But with crypto casinos, only the casino is the one that has to follow their local rules and the gamblers don't have to think of it but we have to obey the house rules of the casino where we gamble at. If it we're for the ease, it's very simple that gambling with crypto is the best.
