5981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul - February 20 on: December 26, 2020, 11:42:30 PM
And this thing will continue as long he's not retired.

Or let's say "this will continue as long as we are buying the PPV"... actually he is already retired in professional boxing, but look what he is doing, he is still fighting and making easy money, well, we can't blame him, he saw the support so he keeps doing it.
This is exactly what it is. As long as they are looking at the market share for this type of match, there will be customers and they will see that there will be watchers who would willing to pay for it.

In professional matches, he won't do it anymore to keep his undefeated record. But he can still do what he wants as long as it's not a professional box.
5982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: December 26, 2020, 10:55:29 PM
Good news then if that website had it removed.

The discussion about having these bets being good or bad depends on the perspective of the gambler and it won't stop until both sides agreed to others' opinions and perspectives.

Do you really think that it would be removed? No it wont but if the time comes that no gamblers will be playing on the site due for that reason then they might really close in the end.
Yes, I was just reading this.

Had forgotten about this thread, so with us still being in the pandemic these sites have slowly been taking these type of bets off their sites, one by one.
And I could not disclose which site I was referring to in the OP when this thread was first discussed about.
The site which were offering bets on the number of covid cases and deaths was:
5dimes.
So they are doing the good thing now?

But there are still question above OP, in which asking what SIte is this?

Would you share it with us?i tried to browse but there's nothing coming out.

5984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 26, 2020, 04:44:59 PM
Good point, probably "big money loves silence"?
Yes. Remaining lowkey would be the best thing while watching everyone who's also happy with them.

I see your point. Probably you are correct about this also. Then we could be the ones helping "the average Joe" to get the skills which is typically possessed by the financial elites. Might be good point for ads for us next year (not self-promotion) Cheesy
Good luck with that plan. That's a good initiative if you have plans for that. I'm actually not a good educator so basically, you can start with it and sharing ideas with us about that topic.

It is for sure that when a topic like that comes out, there will be people who will be eyeing it. As the usual quote about money talks, they're there to listen.
5985  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for others input....... It's a bit long but really would help on: December 26, 2020, 04:15:45 PM
UPDATE:   The site owner DID send me back the litecoins i accidently sent, i wanted to make sure that was clear....     Getting the refund made me feel like shit bc i realized im just a frustrated, angry person.....    I just wanted to make sure i cleared that up.....
Nice.

That's generous of them. Maybe they also feel the spirit of Christmas, eh? a season of giving back to others. But anyway, if you've been fine and this problem has been solved already.

Good for you and start locking up this discussion/thread.
5986  Other / Off-topic / Re: Little known feature of Brave Browser. on: December 26, 2020, 03:58:39 PM
That makes sense, I'm not used to it though but I know people who would like doing that especially while surfing things online.

Alternatively if you don't fancy opening a browser solely for that, there's a neat app for it called YouTube Vanced. It's free and you can do other stuffs while it plays music or videos in the background.
Hmm.

That's new to me.

I'll check it. Interesting! I didn't know that there's one. Is it backed up/owned by YouTube?
5987  Other / Off-topic / Re: Little known feature of Brave Browser. on: December 26, 2020, 03:26:14 PM
Yes, but some prefer to listen to music without the need to always leave YouTube running in the foreground. Sacrificing the extra battery is worth it once you're used to it Grin
That makes sense, I'm not used to it though but I know people who would like doing that especially while surfing things online.

We Knew How YouTube consumes battery so Expect that while Using the Apps background .

Lucky for me that I only Uses Laptop or PC when browsing ,and very rare in my gadget so i have no problem listening to Youtube while Browsing.

But thanks OP ,maybe sometime i may use this feature.
The same as me, I don't use that much through my phone that's why I've got unlimited access on it through desktop's power.  Smiley

Battery consumption won't be a problem since we are getting much faster chargers along with smartphones now, for example you can get your battery charged from 0 to 70 in just 30 minutes and to get 100% maybe 45 to 50 minutes will be enough so with that time we can get lot of hours of app usage for sure.
What a coincidence, I'm charging my phone but through a power bank and yes, it's quicker this time and there's a lesser possible bloated battery if it's charged too much.
5988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Xrp fud sec and garlinghouse fud biggest fud on: December 26, 2020, 03:01:53 PM
Do you hold XRP? it is not a fud that the SEC is charging a lawsuit against the execs of Ripple and Ripple itself.

If SEC is part of this "scam". Then how much should SEC be paid by the Ripple to make this pump and dump? I don't think that you can ever pay them just for this if it's for a show.

Dont think yourself nothing!
Have you seen world enough to make conclusions?
I guess not as much me!
I'm not making conclusions, I'm only stating the fact that it's on the news. If you know much then you're on it. What I can do right now is to watch how this thing will go for XRP and for SEC.

I wouldn't make conclusions on this thread. Happy holidays.

5990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: December 25, 2020, 11:14:42 PM
All tech has no gender!
Right, and the misconception about women being into an industry is no longer valid.

There's already equality for women and men in all aspects of careers. The old belief about women should only stay in one place and don't do what men do has already been gone long.

If a woman can deal with the technology and has the appetite to take the risk as high as bitcoin, nobody can stop her.
5991  Other / Off-topic / Re: Merry Christmas to all fellow Bitcoiners on: December 25, 2020, 10:45:06 PM
Merry Christmas everyone!

I also thank our God above that has been so gracious to my life and my family throughout this year. It's not an easy year and we know it because everybody struggled during this pandemic even those people with power, money, and fame.

And with the rise of bitcoin, I also wish that next Christmas would show the same dominance for bitcoin and rise.
5992  Other / Off-topic / Re: Little known feature of Brave Browser. on: December 25, 2020, 10:23:05 PM
Thanks for the tutorial.

AFAIK, there's also the same feature that Google Chrome has. I've seen it in another forum for those phone users. Although I rarely use Brave Browser on my phone because I mostly use browsers on my PC.

But isn't this kind of usage at the same time charges much battery?
5993  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to make a girl fall for you? on: December 25, 2020, 10:00:48 PM
Hi,,, I like a girl and i don't know how she fall inlove to me? Thanks
Just be yourself.

You have to impress her the way that you can do it naturally. If you can get to know her then talk to her with discussions and topics that she likes. The conversation is where it will start and the initiative must come from you.

Impress her through conversations and start with the topic of what she likes or dislikes about things.
5994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who are the 1% of traders who earn with trading? on: December 25, 2020, 08:19:29 AM
Based on the discussion above I wonder how do you think guys:

1) Aren't there any of those 1.6% of top traders here on BitcoinTalk? Since I assumed they also would be replying and sharing their thoughts, but for now as we all see it's mostly assumptions of the rest - 98.4% of traders Cheesy
For sure they are here, they could be at any rank of account but if they choose not to join the discussion. They want to remain silent and lowkey.

2) How do you think, could that success be partially explained by the use of those traders of derivatives? Since it's known that derivatives do create significant returns at less risk, but the problem is that the majority of people even don't understand those derivatives, structured products, etc., so among the ones who do understand, a small group can benefit from that. Do you think this could be a reason?
Probably it's because many are still not aware and lack knowledge about derivatives. And if there's someone who knows it, he won't share it unless someone asks for it.
5995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what is your unforgettable experience in trading? on: December 25, 2020, 07:45:05 AM
My own was a token I bought back then to make a double of my investment and I saw the value dropping and I didn't cut my loss. After a while the token value began to reduce by half at every time it dumped till it went to very low price. I was baffled and made further findings and saw that the team was the one dumping their tokens. I learnt a great lesson to never buy a token that has only one market or trading in on my one exchange.
Lesson learned.

This is why many projects are not good to invest in. Just because they are offering it on the sale and they have good promises, that's not an assurance that you should invest in it.

I've seen many times that there were complaints of investors that their tokens were dropping mainly because of the devs first dropping it and selling it for their own benefit. It is very unethical that they take advantage of their investors when their main purpose and plan is to dump it all at once.
5996  Other / Off-topic / Re: To the guy who said he bought his first bitcoin the other day on: December 25, 2020, 07:11:37 AM
Congratulations!

Anyone who buys bitcoin aims to earn and treats this investment as a win. Whether you buy close to ATH or not, as long as you know that you have a target price to sell and you will be at profit, congratulations.

No one can spoil someone's happiness in profiting with his investment in bitcoin. But you have to understand too why others are worrying when somebody asks to buy near to ATH. It's not a good strategy though but the guy earned it.
5997  Other / Off-topic / Re: USB External Harddisk warning related to water on table ! on: December 24, 2020, 09:13:40 AM
Not of that much concern if the connector is the one that has spilled water. You can even replace that with a new one but it wouldn't affect the connected drive.

In that case, just turn off your computer and dry everything out before restarting and everything should be good as new. It's unlikely you'll cause permanent damage that way.

This is correct advice and always the first rule when a device got wet.

Don't open it and make sure to dry it.

You withdrew on mbitcasino and deposited that LTC to satoshibones address accidentally. Well, it's evident that satoshibones doesn't have any responsibility for your mistake and negligence.

You are lucky if they will give you the favor but most likely, there's no hope with what happened to you. Sorry.

XRP looks in bad shape and I don't think it's a good time to keep making transactions on it.

Why XRP is not good to keep? Can you tell me the reason ? XRP going to scam ?
You haven't seen the news about XRP?

6000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't find my bitcoin account anymore on: December 24, 2020, 06:05:20 AM
A very few responses from OP but I think it all says that he doesn't have any recovery phrase anymore. I haven't used the onion link of blockchain but as said in the previous posts that it's no longer working for years.

He just has to open his wallet because of the ransomware that has affected his PC. I don't think he has an idea of keeping a mnemonic phrase that's given to him before.

@OP, I've read in other forums that someone has able to defeat the ransomware through experimenting in the registry editor + command prompt. I forgot the whole process but you might find some solutions that are mainly for defeating ransomware or sharing thoughts about being free from them. Because from time to time, they are also updating and changing. You have no assurance that after you pay the ransom, they'll allow you get back to your files.
