61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will tether collapse? on: October 14, 2018, 12:19:56 AM
Basically think about it?

There are many people who use tether everyday, its even used by Poloniex still which is used by Circle.

If they banned it outright it would cause alot of huge losses for many investors, which is not fair. If it does get forbidden or banned somehow, I think there will be some convert USDT to USD or other stablecoin process and it will halt all USDT trading pairs for the time being.

Even when ICOs were shutdown, the government told the ICO founders to issue refunds.

Eventually however Bitfinex and most other exchanges will have to comply not to deal with these issues, however to do that they will need to KYC all their users.
might be, but eventually the collapse might happen gradually or slowly to the extent that we woke up someday and suddenly tether becomes worthless. nah i dont wanna wait that when it happens, weve been warned though, so we better be prepared then and diversify our portfolio

I would stay out of USDT now.

http://www.untether.space/

There you can check risk premium for trading theater. Its increasing every day. It means that slowly trader by trader is leaving it to trade with usd. Holding usdt makes you loose 2% this month according to USD. This might accelerate.
now that thr crash has begun eventually more holders will follow so dont get left behind or else youll lose tons of money, i knew it this will happen o just never thought this would be earlier than i thought, and i hope that all exchanges will abolished tether ang rather use real fiat instead, like what bakkt will do in the near future
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will tether collapse? on: October 13, 2018, 01:32:16 AM
I've been around long enough not to buy any of this tether FUD.

If it really was going to collapse the premium would of been much higher than currently.

Even if USDT was somehow banned, I think they would halt trading of USDT and allow conversions to USD or some other stable coin.

Doubt they would outright ban it and cause billions of losses to investors.
yup they wouldnt ban it i think because they are profiting from it, but the ordinary community now are more aware of what is really happening ang eventually more and more people will lose trust on tether and dump them off, so they dont need to ban it the community wilk decide it if its trustable or not.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: will tether collapse? on: October 13, 2018, 12:06:01 AM

they're having banking problems. you can see it reflected in the prices at bitfinex or any USDT markets: prices are almost 2% higher than the rest of the market. it's well known by now that they lost banks recently (noble bank in puerto rico and more recently HSBC).

i'm not particularly worried about "tether printing". bitfinex is a massive profit-printing machine. i don't think they're insolvent in the "mt gox" sense.

my worry stems more from the fact that they keep losing banks. WTF are they gonna do when they've got billions of dollars in USD and EUR that they can't pay to their customers? also, if banks are feeling pressured not to work with them, you have to ask why and whether regulators are waiting to pounce on them.

bitfinex might be the contributor of the bitcoin downfall because of printing more tether spreading it accros exchanges and bought it with major coin then dump them all at once back and boom everybody holding tether and theyre holding top coins then cash them out, i see the scheme clearly here, collapse is inevitable, thanks mate
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / will tether collapse? on: October 12, 2018, 10:28:31 PM
hi guys i just wanna ask if it is still practical to hold or use tether now, because im hearing negative issues that it might collapse soon coz its centralize and can be created without backing of real USD?

What are your thoughts?
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin reach atleast $10,000 ? on: October 12, 2018, 04:01:32 AM
for short term i think botcoin is gonna go down temporarily provided the fud the bad news and all the negatives stuff, bit to think long term like 5 to 10 years bitcoin is gonna be big just like what happened to the .com bubble the amazon, google etc when they started they so volatile they price jumps 80 to 90% up and down.
67  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do you honestly feel about the recent bitcoin drop? on: October 11, 2018, 11:15:35 PM
i felt nothing but just a normal thing, it was being predicted base on technical analyhsis  that if it broke from a symetrical triangle either up or down and it really did happen, but if you traded it without the proper risk to reward ratio then youll be one of those that lost money on that day Smiley
68  Economy / Speculation / Re: Signs That The Bitcoin Bulls Are Ready To Break Out on: October 10, 2018, 10:38:09 PM
As per observation in the current market,  I think that there is no indication whatsoever that cryptos would become bullish market as this has been experiencing a down trend often times. I think that the resistance in moving towards an up trend market is hard that it's hampering the growth in the current situation. However,  I greatly believe that there is still a probability to change the current market condition into a more prosperous market growth.
there is no indication because big institution recently just boight bitcoin not in exchanges but through oTC or over the counter example the yale university invested millions of dollars in bitcoin,  see the news.
69  Other / Archival / Re: Be Safe on: October 10, 2018, 03:53:04 PM
being safety is about how secure your wallet, exchange, ur website or your computer, its about it its about you, its about yhe person that lacks knowledge on cyber security  on how this hackers steal  if you have idea how they do then u be able to safeguard urself, self education is the key
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did we get what we asked for - less Bitcoin volatility? on: October 10, 2018, 11:26:43 AM
i just learnt that there is an underlying secret information on why the price of bitcoin have stabilize and consolidates this past few weeks, first there this thing we callled OTC or bitcoin buying over the counter where big institution like yale university invested millions of dollar recently in btc, so the price wont fluctuate in exchanges, 2nd its price intended to stabilize because the etf approval is on the edge, etf will be rejected if its still volatile.
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you search online for prices in bitcoin? on: October 10, 2018, 01:22:47 AM
if you buy bitcoin according to the price of a third party bitcoin wallet provider such as coin base they offer much higher price and a much higher fee, some buy peer to peer and they base it to google price, if want exact price happening go to large exchange that would be the exact price like bitfinex, binance, etc.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Simple Bitcoin Question on: October 09, 2018, 09:27:06 AM
Basically, Bitcoin can die only if some more technologically improved and conenient cryptocurrency replaces it. Despite we can see some bitcoin competitors which have various advantages over it, they are still too weak to replace btc.
i dont think bitcoin can die, its fresh and a lot of room for develpment in its blockchain itself, it will act as etherium soon to cater smart contracts, bitcoin will be big enough to as technological application it can serve in future, the the only usecase that the commoner see it is for payment which very very wrong
73  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Survey Shows 80% Of Americans Have Heard Of Bitcoin on: October 09, 2018, 06:09:46 AM
certainly great if most Americans have heard and know about bitcoin. because with many of its citizens who know, the more people there, the investment and development of bitcoin will also run well in America and in this world
but it depends on how they percieved it, if they learnt it in a negative way they will probably retract and keep away from it as there are  a lot of negative news out there in the united estates, but regardless to that i think it would be a good news overall.
74  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More people More volatility on: October 09, 2018, 12:33:02 AM
I think the many stablecoin projects popping up are a result of the volatility issue, and could help to solve that aspect.
volatility is normal in a new technology it will settle its price 5 or 10 years from now i think, but for now volatility is a friend to many like me as a day trader, thats where we maximize our profit the most. Smiley
75  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is anonymity the future for bitcoin??? on: October 08, 2018, 11:06:06 AM
anonymity will help hackers, scammers, criminals and terrorists also. If bitcoin helps tax evasion, bitcoin will get banned worldwide.

the owner of bitconnect.com got arrested in India for $13 billion ponzi scheme using bitcoins. So Bitcoin transactions are not anonymous.

will if theres no bitcoin there will always be a hackers anyway so why do we link bitcoin as help for hackers? why dont we look for the goodside of it? and regarding taxes its always taxable through exchanges but not p2p, lastly bitcoin cannot be banned its unstoppable, no one can ban it.
76  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: goodbye fiat and USD. on: October 08, 2018, 12:54:47 AM
Those new in cryptocurrency and want to invest in it,  what will they use to get crypto is it not fiat?
still they will go to fiat for sure, not unless the bitcoin will be widely accepted by the merchant on a certain place where you can buy ordinary primary commodities in micropayments, but until it happens fiat still the basis for our spending from day to day
77  Economy / Economics / Re: What if there is a natural disaster, such as an earthquake? on: October 07, 2018, 06:15:05 PM
the effect will also be experience with fiat currencies if that happens thwn cash will be king at that time, but the bisiness will still go on with bitcoin since it is used globally not only in disastered area if ever
78  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Psychological fear dominates the market on: October 07, 2018, 03:18:03 PM
Psychological fear is present but not at all , I think people who understand what it's all for the best don't even care.

exactly if people understant the bsic and fundamentals of blockchain technology there really is nothing to fear, because nobody can stop it, and everything that is unstoppable people will adopt to it theres no choice its just a matter of time to happen...
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Can Be More Efficient Than Bank Transactions on: October 07, 2018, 09:51:47 AM
Yes thats true its good to invest rather than to save your money with a small interest. In bitcoin you can earn a lot yes it change quicky but the benifits of having bitcoin is better than you have own money sleeping in bank.
Ypu can use it in many transactions. Trade and buy also it has a lot of things to do with bitcoin.
for me i used to invest as for my long term profit and i do trading for short term profit , long term is good but the return of investment is slow but the gains are big, while trading you earn little but frequent, so investing and trading are both recommended
80  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ICO bountiess are a hazardous threat to the value of Bitcoins and Ethereum. on: October 07, 2018, 06:18:31 AM
I totally disagree with you mate. Though I am a bounty hunter replying to this thread, because Your idea about bounty hunter is not well. Most of the hunters are not a dumper now, they are holding many coins. I can ensure you, if you check bounty hunters wallet then you will see they are holding some good coins. And the real truth is, Bounty hunters are becoming ICO investors too, they know which project will be good or bad! And Presale investors, Miners are dumping coin and Bitcoin. 1% Rewards you seem very big and they are dumping lots of bucks? You are wrong here.
true, ive been a bounty hunter for more that a year now and i could say that 70% of my stakes of different coins are being held, so its not the hunters that dumps its the big whale players trading in the market, because thats how yhey profit wether the market goes up or down it doesnt matter.
