61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The "Satoshi Risk" on: July 04, 2017, 01:01:50 AM
If Satoshi were still alive and cared about bitcoin he would have revealed himself already and said whether he even still has his private keys or what he was planning to do with it. It might cause some initial turbulence but unless he said he was going to dump all of it then such turbulence would be short lived.

Obviously he would have a cult following and people would give a positively biased view to anything he said or suggested but the community is mature enough they could take his advice based on their technical merits rather than anything else.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [BREAKING NEWS]: Goldman Sachs says bitcoin could rise another 50% on: July 04, 2017, 12:36:04 AM
Bitcoin could rise another 10% or another 1000% or fall another 50%. Its nice to see mainstream take an interest but I wouldn't trust the word of goldman sachs much more than that of a random stranger on bitcointalk.

Personally I think $5000, a doubling is in the cards around August/September once Segwit is activated.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: July 04, 2017, 12:32:58 AM
What projects are using Iconomi as a platform?

please update yourself on what ICONOMI is.  it is more of a "what projects are using iconomi FUNDS TO MAKE a platform".

Ok, what projects are using Iconomi funds to make a platform?

And how much dividends does Iconomi pay per token?

I'm not sure about your first question but for your second question they are doing buybacks rather than dividends. This increases the price rather than pay you something back.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: July 04, 2017, 12:31:39 AM
Well EOS seems to have taken a break from its daily gains. I wonder if the hype can continue or if they have lost steam.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Daily updates on Ongoing ICOs on: July 04, 2017, 12:28:52 AM
Do you mean in this thread? I think the next interesting one is Santiment but it has an interesting new type of ICO structure which also means I won't be able to participate  Sad
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS is an Ethereum token without any purpose on: July 04, 2017, 12:25:03 AM
Well thats just honesty, their platform doesn't need to connect to any erc20 tokens as far as I understand but it doesn't mean they will shaft their investors.

One thing is definitely true though, the sums put in and the pump has been crazy on EOS

I hope for the best of success today on the ICO, its refreshing to see a good project that doesn't ask for crazy sums.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟🚀[ANN][04.07] ICO Starta - Cross-Coin Venture capital on the blockchain🌟 on: July 03, 2017, 07:55:34 AM
tomorrow is the start of the ico right? is there a possibility that it will be sold out on the first day?

May be sold out few hours...

If it is sold out tomorrow, the signature campaign will also close tomorrow or will it last till this weekend till the stakes have been counted till Friday and updated? Waiting for OP to respond on this.

possible it will close right away. manager laready instructed that make sure to finish the 40 posts before july 4.

by the way, how much is one token? im havign a thought to participate tomorow.

The price of 1 token is 1$ and so there are around 5 million tokens for the 5 million dollar target Smiley

Very small target for a project of this caliber in my opinion.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: July 03, 2017, 07:52:56 AM
XRP doesn't have any momentum anymore, looks like either sideways movement of new falls in my opinion.
70  Economy / Speculation / Re: price getting down on: July 03, 2017, 07:44:23 AM
I hope it drops a bit more. atleast at 2000$. time to stock up indeed!
1500 $ I prefer ...
It does not matter then go up another 2400 $
Its time to buy dollars and exchange with Bitcoin. Grin
The price of Bitcoin goes up and down, if someone dumps a portion of his coin then they have a small chance where they could make a few bucks if the price gets a little lower. Considering the transaction cost and Bitcoin Exchange fees there is a bunch of people that don’t calculate that and lose a bunch of money doing that though.

A bit smarter for choosing the right moment. Buying with 50% of this capital is quite safe. Then sell it when the price is attractive. Cool
Today the price seems little increased and we're getting to cross $2500. The growth is taking place in a stable manner, but in the past the price increase was happening in big multiple and in a short falls to some extent and then insert again stabilty growth happens keeping the price high. Expect the same to happen before the month end.

People are just waiting to see what the UASF "threat" gives, I fully expect a quick surge once that threat comes and goes.
71  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big dump, buy the dip on: July 03, 2017, 07:43:47 AM
Price momentum is going to gather as August 1st approaches and the likelihood of a hardfork diminishes. Its currently at a nice discount due to the dumps over the past couple of weeks, I've definitely been increasing my holdings.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [STRATIS] Should I invest on: July 03, 2017, 07:40:19 AM
Is still going down. Closing triangle. Now if turns back buy if not short it.

So now is the critical point where we either see a sudden rise or a sudden dump?

Stratis has fallen a lot making it quite cheap currently, I think a new boost is coming soon because the team so far has always delivered and chris said they plan to make it a top 3 coin.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [ADX] AdEx ICO Speculation on: July 03, 2017, 07:39:07 AM
Idk much about this HitBTC exchange, but it is already trading for approx $.96 cents per ADX

4x ICO price

https://hitbtc.com/exchange/ADX-to-ETH

hitBTC is full of shit or maybe i dont know how they work, BUT the way i see it, every fking "IOU" is a rip off on their exchange.

their iou has been there for long time already even real coin is listed few days but its still unavailable for deposit over there and price has dropped. some serious illegal manipulations their exchange is doing.

Yeah hitBTC is worthless, but you can already trade it on etherdelta with low volume and the price isn't far from ICO.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bancor: Worst ICO ever? on: July 03, 2017, 07:37:29 AM
The ICO was rubbish but its not going below ICO price anytime soon due to the price floor. It will either mirror ETH or it will go up a little bit in my opinion.
75  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What keeps you coming back??? on: July 03, 2017, 07:34:08 AM
What keeps me coming back is the never ending crazy chatters in the community. I have made friends there that are very good people even outside the cryptoworld. And of course the possibility to double my money or even more.

Casinos and trading platforms that have chatrooms are really doing a great job in making their cients stick like glue with chatrooms and just the ability of players to connect with fellow players. Sad that in poloniex, trollbox is no longer in place due to number of traders already on the site.
Chat rooms cant really be removed on casinos or even on trading just like what you said. Management would really make chat boxes and do entertain people who do inquire or do have concerns about the site its one of the factors that do affect potential gamblers of the site.I see some sites which dont have chatboxes but most of them had.
It's fun to chat in the chat rooms because you will never know what they are going to say and you have a chance to get a new friend or an acquiantance. The thing is, you could really have friends there but for sure, there will still be trolls and just out there to destroy your da, or probably you could be that one person. It's funny in a way.

Unless you are an addict, casinos are a form of entertainment and that is always enjoyed better when you have the feeling of being part of a community. Trolls and the like don't change from that, the same as how the poloniex trollbox kept a lot of people coming back to poloniex even when they weren't trading and made it entertaining to be there while you do trade it is similar for gambling sites.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🌟🚀[ANN][04.07] ICO Starta - Cross-Coin Venture capital on the blockchain🌟 on: June 29, 2017, 11:24:16 PM

Nice, i got a feeling, Starta ICO will finished in 24 hours - 48 hours

Well they are seeking a much lower funding amount so it could even be finished in minutes. Its hard to predict with these icos though.
77  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cyber attackers asking for $300 in bitcoin on: June 29, 2017, 11:19:08 PM
SIDE NOTE: Why $300? As ransom-ware spreads the asking ransom prices have converged on $300.  I wonder if that has been determined to be the sweet spot? Not too high, not too low.

 Huh

I think this certain ransomware is planning on targeting like personal computers and those small businesses, not corporations, hospitals, and bigger companies, hence the low $300 compared to the past $1000 or more demands. I'm not 100% sure about this, though. Also, I think $300 is the price whereas businesses or companies will be like "let's just pay this ransom instead of spending hours and hours doing backups and restores", it's just that it has a higher chance of the victim paying up I think.
No, the ransomware was originally meant to target business and large corporations. But it began to spread and affect smaller households and personal businesses.

But I don't know about the ransom of $300. I would expect it to be more too. Perhaps they believed that the ransomware would be so successful that it would earn a lot of money from that low price of $300. Maybe victim had a higher chance of paying up because of the low price. I mean back-up and cleaning the entire computer or buying a new computer would require a higher payment.

Ransomware has been around before bitcoin and typically will infect your computer from random websites, I've seen people getting randomware asking for as low as $50 paid in paysafecards and other forms of payment cards. The key to these viruses is to infect hundreds of thousands of computers rather than a select few and asking for huge amounts.
78  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where to invest my Bitcoins? on: June 29, 2017, 11:17:34 PM
investing for .1 btc ? try to ico launching projects or ICO bounty if you invest that small count is not mistakes but i can suggest if you invest btc makesure you have a more or lot of btc get to 5 or 10 btc for most high represent to good back earn for highest profit
yes that is righ to invest your money in ICO but  i think you need to have good knowledge about the project for which the ICO has be launched, you must have good study about it either if you will invest your bitcoin, is there any chance to get profit from it or not. all these question must you keep in your mind while going to invest your money bitcoin.

Invest in 5 initial coin offerings with good potential and at least one of them is likely to yield great profit. Obviously you need to do your research too but I think this is a good way with little risk.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: June 29, 2017, 11:07:02 PM
Not bitcoin per se but the way it is used. In countries with a high dollar exchange, someone who manage to buy and hold even a few bits would get some fiat profit which can then be used for building a business, etc.

Also, if bitcoin facilitates movement of money from richer to poorer countries, than we can say bitcoin did help. Maybe people can freelance and get paid in bitcoins, maybe remittances or donations can be sent as bitcoins, etc.
As my mate said it can be help like employer doing work though internet and getting pay though bitcoin. If people getting pay in bitcoin then it can easily effect positively the economy, people will start converting that bitcoin into local money. Where the use of money will increase government will decrease the prices or print too much money. So like that.

Employers can and do already pay for online work through traditional banking methods, they don't need bitcoin for this so I don't see how this is an argument on how bitcoin could improve the economy.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good coins to buy? on: June 29, 2017, 11:04:46 PM
like most people said here ARK is #1 alt

Ark is a great coin with great returns and as I understand has some nice ways to address possible scaling issues that are present in bitcoin and ethereum and that the majority of altcoins would suffer if they became widespread.
