61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 30, 2024, 10:56:01 AM
People are desperate cause the feel like since everyone is making emphasis on the bull run, the fear of missing out makes them partake into fake airdrop and news.  A lot of people will want to capitalize on this opportunity to spread fake news and propaganda luring poor people to waist their time and resources. Getting the right information is very paramount in the crypto world, the right information will give you the right results.
It's not because people are desperate to participate in every airdrop, they are hoping to participate in a successful airdrop that legitimately pays its participants at the end of the project. However, it is true that they are often in a rush and participate without investigating the airdrop. They fear missing out on a single airdrop and wasting their time and effort completing all the tasks.
62  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: January 30, 2024, 08:18:42 AM
It has happened to me severally, I have been able to hold now, since I started working as a merchandiser with Guinness, I think most times, experience is the best teacher.
Not only must we have a source of income so that we can be successful in holding it, but also that income must meet all our main needs because if we force ourselves to buy coins and hold them but our main needs are not met, there is a big chance that we will sell them at a loss when we are pressed to meet our needs. In addition, we should also have small debt or even nil because the interest that must be paid will also reduce profits and we can be quite stressed looking at the debt, and indeed experience is the best teacher and we must remember what makes us fail in holding and evaluate it so as not to repeat the same mistakes.
When it comes to having debt, whether it is small or big, is not necessarily a bad thing and is stressful, as long as you know how to manage it properly. It's important to use your debt wisely and allocate it towards investments or ventures that can generate income. For instance, if you use your debt as capital for a business that brings in additional income, paying off your debt and its interest will not be a problem. The key is to make sure that you have a clear plan for how you will repay your debt and that you are using it in a way that will ultimately benefit you financially.
63  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you ready for the Bitcoin bull market? What's your plan? Some ideas for you on: January 30, 2024, 08:02:33 AM
Quote
Don't try to find All time high, you can not predict it correctly and you will only know ATH of a cycle after you are already in a bear market.
Don't time the market. Let's the market runs and try to exit with market cycle length, that you can base on Bitcoin history.
Each cycle is unique and it can be longer or shorter than previous cycles but if you make your strategy on average cycle length, you will not take profit too far from the ATH & more important you will be able to avoid stuck too deep in a bear market.
If you don't want to exit the market by taking profit with all bitcoins you have, do DCA for profit taking, withdrawal like this strategy.

Let's not try to overcomplicate things, when everything is actually really simple. Just have patience and HODL. That's pretty much it.
There will be price drops before the big bull run. Don't panic and never sell during a price drop. The market will start going up sooner or later.
My plan is to wait until the BTC price hits 2x of the current levels and I will start selling parts of my BTC wealth. If the future Bitcoin ATH is 3x of the current price that would be great, but I don't think that Bitcoin is capable of reaching a 120K USD price.
By the way, this topic belongs to the Trading Discussion forum(or maybe the Speculation forum).

It's not as simple as it seems. If it were, then everyone would have already been able to do it and follow the cycle of the price of Bitcoin during every bull run. This is particularly challenging for most Bitcoin investors, including newbies, as they don't know what to do in every market scenario. What you say may sound easy, but it's actually difficult to execute.
64  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 29, 2024, 10:10:12 PM
If Bitcoin is used as money and treated as money, that presupposes active exchange of Bitcoin for goods and services. So paying the rent with Bitcoin makes sense from this perspective, and there's nothing bad about it. I think I'd be down to pay my rent in Bitcoin if it was accepted, but it's not, so I use fiat for that. Allowing monthly rent to be paid in Bitcoin can be a step toward accepting Bitcoin as legal tender in Argentina. It makes people more used to the idea of Bitcoin as a type of money, and it's beneficial for landlords if not tenants. Actually, it can be good for tenants, too, if it motivates them to adopt Bitcoin wider and to accumulate it regularly, instead of doing that with fiat.
I also feel that there is nothing wrong with this, in my opinion this is just a medium of exchange and it depends on the agreement of both parties, and we know that ancient payment was by exchanging goods on the condition that both parties agreed. But nowadays after the establishment of laws governing it, some countries allow it, some prohibit it, but I think it depends on mutual agreement. And such transactions can be kept secret for countries that do not agree to such exchanges.

Yes, the most important thing is that both parties should agree to this settlement that the rent can be paid in bitcoin. Usually, if one party is willing to pay rent in Bitcoin, the other one may not know about Bitcoin. Similarly, those who have put their house on rent may want to receive rent in Bitcoin but those living in that rented house may not find it convenient to pay in crypto.
I think once the bitcoin is globally accepted and more adopted, then more people will be willing to receive and send payments in bitcoins.
That's true, using Bitcoin to pay rent is acceptable, as long as both parties agree on the payment method and the amount of Bitcoin being sent matches their agreement. What's crucial is that the landlord consents to this payment method and makes the tenant feel at ease with it. As long as these conditions are met, there should be no issues.
65  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong Moves With Your Bitcoin on: January 29, 2024, 09:53:30 PM
I made the same mistake I made in the past. I was holding Bitcoin when the price started to rally. I noticed that the Altcoin price movement was faster than Bitcoin. So, I decided to sell my Bitcoin to purchase a specific Altcoin, but unfortunately, that Altcoin was already at its peak and the price suddenly went down. I don't want to cut my losses as it is only in my Spot wallet, so the only thing I can do is hold it. Nevertheless, the regret of not holding onto my Bitcoin during that time is the biggest mistake I have made.
66  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone Calls My Child's Name Bitcoin. on: January 29, 2024, 09:36:00 PM
Do not feel uncomfortable. You should be more proud and open to the idea of other people calling your son "Bitcoin". The story behind your son's name is something that you should be proud of as a parent. Your son carries the name "Bitcoin" because you were able to provide for him during the time of your wife's delivery. Do not be afraid to answer any questions from other people. Answer them based on your experience that you can be proud of.
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 26, 2024, 04:49:41 AM
Earning money from crypto isn't an easy task, as we generally think. You should have enough knowledge to identify fake or real things in the crypto market. You shouldn't be influenced by influencers here. You can follow them for learning and analysis purposes. Don't make any investment decisions when influencers say anything. Cryptocurrency is volatile, and you have to make real-time decisions. Most of the influencers are paid by projects where they wash our brains. So instead, we have to use our own brains during investment, and we also always need to avoid free money offers.

First, I believe that cryptocurrency is volatile, and because of volatility, there is a high risk in investing in cryptocurrency. And it is difficult to keep up with trade in such a situation. Unless their knowledge of crypto trading is wide and deep,.

Now with the influencers, it is also true that most of them, I don't understand that most of them are mind conditioning the viewers that they will say that the crypto they are promoting is good or has potential, but if you are sensitive and do research, you will know that the others are not telling the truth, so poor people who don't know because they just rely on what other influencers say.
The thing is, many influencers tend to focus only on the positive aspects of cryptocurrency and encourage their followers to invest without explaining the potential risks involved. Oftentimes, they only highlight the potential profits that can be made and neglect to mention possible scenarios such as a sudden market downturn. Their main priority is to increase the number of people who invest or refer others, without considering the consequences for their viewers once the investment is made.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: To any Bitcoin holder who lost their seed: How did you lose it? on: January 26, 2024, 04:27:38 AM
I made a mistake in the past by not considering the importance of storing my seed phrase securely and making multiple copies of it. I saved my seed phrase in a notepad on my personal computer. Unfortunately, my computer suddenly encountered a blue screen error. As I didn't have any backup copies, I wasn't able to recover my seed phrase, and consequently lost access to my Bitcoin.

My advice is to secure your seed phrase in a safe and secure location. Create multiple copies of the phrase and ensure that only you have access to it. Do not store it on your computer or any online platform such as Gmail. There are many better options available to store your seed phrase and it is important to consider them to protect your assets. Always think ahead and take necessary precautions to keep your seed phrase safe.
69  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy BTC NOW? on: January 26, 2024, 04:05:26 AM
As you might know, the price of bitcoin reached its lower point since last month.

Should those who want to buy more do it now or do you believe we'll see the bitcoin price get down a little more?

Some here were talking about rumours of BTC being purchased from Saudi Arabia, but well, that's just a rumour.
But people tend to panic and sell, so this might be the best moment to buy as much btc as possible. What do you think?
It's often suggested by financial experts that we should buy Bitcoin when many people are panicking due to fear. This presents an opportunity to increase holdings. However, it's impossible to predict market trends, which is why it's wise to purchase Bitcoin whenever there is a sudden drop in the market. Don't wait for the deepest possible price of Bitcoin because no one can identify what will be the deepest before it goes up again.
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Denying yourself comfortability in other to buy Bitcoin on: January 25, 2024, 10:23:29 AM
I personally support the idea of long-term investment in bitcoins, but I've always been curious about how people, by foregoing many comforts, including personal pleasures, manage their finances in their daily lives. These individuals are very resourceful and determined. I've also encountered many people who deny the success of Bitcoin, these are usually individuals who don't understand anything about cryptocurrency and have no interest in it whatsoever.
It's a big joke if you think Bitcoin is the only one way to get rich, someone can be successful by investing in real estate or any other investment that hedging against inflation.
We all know that investing requires knowledge and understanding. Bitcoin is not the sole means to become wealthy, indeed. However, it can be a major investment for some individuals to make a considerable profit. This is frequently due to a lack of knowledge about investing in other options like real estate, gold, or other investments.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrong perspective towards Bitcoin investment on: January 25, 2024, 10:03:29 AM
most people who want to quickly make profits from bitcoin end up failing because they think that when they invest in bitcoin the profit is certain, even though on the contrary when they invest in bitcoin it means their potential to lose money is quite high.

also people who want to quickly make profits from bitcoin also have short-term and illogical thinking, where they invest in things like mining, staking, etc., which offer high profits in the short term, even though they are fraud. and in the end it was predictable that they were scammed by scammers because of their poor knowledge about investment and bitcoin.
This is also the fault of those influencers who promote only the positive side of Bitcoin. They only show their profits but not their losses. And the naive investors will believe on them instantly without making any more doubts if what they see is true or only too good to be true. But it's great that we have threads like this. Let's just hope newbies will go on the forum first and read our posts here.

There are still short-term investors and traders who prefer to make profit in BTC quickly. It's not wrong as long as they already know what to do. I won't say they lacked in patience because both acts were hard, especially trading. They have patience in a way that they study it, and they went thru a lot of trials & errors before they finally increase their winning rates.
Indeed. This is why it is always important to conduct research, even if an investment is being promoted by influencers. Knowing the positive and negative aspects of an investment is crucial to determine how to manage risk. Many of those kinds of investors only rely on influencers to determine whether an investment is legitimate or profitable. Influencers tend to focus on the positive aspects of investments, such as Bitcoin, as their main objective is to showcase their income or increase referrals.
72  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Gold, land which better? on: January 25, 2024, 09:41:07 AM
I got into Bitcoin as a college student though I am not involved in earning yet but I have a lot of interest in Bitcoin and I am planning to hold Bitcoin. My father is a Malaysian expatriate. He receives a salary of $500 per month and sends $400 per month to support my family. I collect all the money from my father's salary and spend it for family support. Recently I have made a plan to invest a certain part of my father's salary remittance in Bitcoin but in this case I don't understand whether it should be invested in Bitcoin. I paid attention to invest in bitcoin seeing the popularity and future importance of bitcoin but my father and mother from my family have no knowledge of bitcoin so they keep persuading me to invest in bitcoin.

My parents thought that bitcoins that cannot be seen or touched cannot be an asset. They think that investing in physical assets such as gold, bank deposits, land etc. is more profitable than Bitcoin. But even after I convinced them, they are not ready to invest in Bitcoin. They don't want to believe in virtual currency.

Right now I want your important advice on how to convince them.
Why don't you diversify your investment? And since you are primarily using your father's money for your investment, use it to invest in assets such as gold, bank deposits, and land where they can easily understand. It would be better to use your own money to invest in Bitcoin and other digital assets that you are interested in. It can be stressful to convince your parents to invest in something they disagree with, so it is best to show them the positive results of your investment in digital assets once you make a decent profit. This will help you convince him more easily.

Installation

No problems with the installation of the application. I am not using a mid or high-end desktop but it is still smooth when I start to run the application.

Impression

I logged in using my seed phrase from my Android account and the warm welcome from Utopia was displayed. Other features are showing on this welcome tab and settings which you can set immediately after logging in.

Chat lobby

The chat lobby is somehow active, there are more than 100 users online. Other users are accommodating questions and any chats from new users. Users are also friendly, I'm seeing other people adding each other.

Idyll browser / Web Proxy

I am not well-informed about the location of the proxy server, but the speed of my internet connection seems to be affected when I use it. I can only access bitcointalk with more than 2 minutes to fully load, any other platforms I tried to search were unable to proceed.

Wallet

I checked if I could shop using the 5 CRP sent to my wallet but it is not enough to try making a purchase. I decided to go for the swap, it takes a lot of time to finish. It's been 30 mins now but the swap is still loading.

Games

There are currently two games, chess and poker, there are no other active players so I wasn't able to try it for now.
Maybe it is best to add other games that you can play solo like blackjack. It would be best to enjoy using the application while playing.

Summary

Utopia application includes many features and has a lot of tutorials for new users. They also provide Chat support and basic information on how to use the application. There are more things to improve, but since Utopia is still new and currently has enough features to satisfy a lot of users, I know this application will go beyond every user's expectation.

78  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Gamer Streamer to Gambling Streamer? on: December 22, 2023, 01:26:20 PM

80  Local / Pamilihan / Re: METAMASK - TUMATANGGAP NA NG GCASH on: December 21, 2023, 01:04:02 PM

Tama?
For cash in purposes only? Yes. Pero in terms of withdrawal, negative pa kaya hindi pa sita completely pamalit for p2p.

We’re working to expand coverage to your area."
