61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you know when to sell? on: February 12, 2022, 02:09:11 AM
Do you have any pattern that you see or watch in the market to determine time to sell your hodlings and take your profit ?
nothing like that. For all long-term investments, I only sell during bullruns or maybe when the ROI is over 100%.

Do you regret not selling your coins at any point because you didn't know it will drop ?
no, because from the start it was my choice. so no regrets even if my choice is wrong. but as long as I've invested in crypto, I've never had a problem like this. I always sell when the price has gone up high even though not during ATH. My regret maybe is that after I sold, the price went higher.
62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin 🐕‍🦺 1$ possible in 2022 or not? on: February 11, 2022, 07:59:44 AM
They got a huge supply. Reaching $1 isnt impossible but it will take a lot of funds to move it there. Also there are too many dogecoin haters since its backed by Elon, some dont like how he do some comedy stint and jokes on twitter. He also fan manipulate the market by injecting some news and announcement. I dont know but if this turns to 1$ imagine how many coins will be overtake by a memecoin. But since they got have utility slowly like the one Elon announced on tesla maybe others may adopt it.

Despite people's views on Elon Musk, the man's impact on Doge's prices has been very positive. So it is very possible that in the future with a little encouragement from Elon Musk, the price of Doge could break 1$. but for now, that's impossible. The coin meme hype has faded, and Elon doesn't seem to be paying attention to the doge. so the target of 1$ in 2022 is very low probability. after all the market is recovering, and everyone is just staring at bitcoin. that's why altcoins like doge are most likely not getting any attention.
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The NFT hype makes Opensea rich on: February 10, 2022, 01:36:21 AM
hype is a good thing, but be aware that many NFTs are subpar today. since NFT is popular people seem to forget the essence of art itself. even opensea itself admits that there is a lot of trash on their platform. people upload something worthless, because they think it will sell. if it continues to happen for a long period of time, it is not impossible that the NFT hype will fade.
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The solution is just there on: February 09, 2022, 12:12:29 PM
If coinmarketcap and coingecko can just start asking for team verification before listing a new project on their platforms I believe many will be safe from scammers, yes it's not their right to do since those platforms are just for listing available crypto projects but I heard they ask for criteria isn't it? They know how bad the numbers of scammers are growing, I think it's doable
I don't think they will. because there are many new projects released every day and it will be very difficult for them to have to verify every team member in all projects. it costs a lot of money just to do those tasks. and if in the end the project remains a scam project, it will only lower their trust in the eyes of the crypto community. i think that's what crypto exchanges should do., because they are the ones shit projects get a place to dump. if every project is strictly verified, we will not find any shit project getting any place to trade their coins.
65  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin from the economic perspective on: February 09, 2022, 02:36:33 AM
Going through some countries economic performance and statistics I came to a big conclusion that the economic benefit bitcoin as an approved currency in a country is way more than the disadvantages of Bitcoin to an economy but what the government in scared is the decentralization of the financial system.

in fact governments need not fear blockchain decentralization, as long as their regulations are tightened. the problem is when a country is too dependent on bitcoin. it will be very bad if bitcoin dumps, or there is a crash in the market. if only legalizing bitcoin i think it will not be a big problem.
66  Economy / Economics / Re: What If? on: February 08, 2022, 08:03:51 AM
We recently saw the USA is thinking about another sanction to Russia. We know this will take a negative impact on Russia's economy. But what if Russia ally like a chain, Iran and other countries stop accepting US dollars for import and export goods from other countries. We all know China has one of the biggest markets in the world and in 2020 USA imported $434.7 billion worth of goods from China. So what will happen if the Anti-USA countries agreed to this and stop accepting us dollars. Actually, I want to know is it possible for them to do that? What is your opinion about it?

it may depend on mutual agreement. but if it happens it will be a big blow for the USA. maybe the impact will be more severe than the US sanctions against Russia. because it will have an impact on the global economy, not just the USA. plus US inflation which is already very high, will exacerbate it.
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where can a lawful dev advertise its token on: February 08, 2022, 03:04:41 AM
I have seen many shitcoins skyrocket and I myself have been rugpulled like a 3 or 4 times (and I am very careful) or directly honeypotted. I have a friend who just started a charity project and decided to give Crypto an opportunity, but he can't get pass the 10k mcap and all he is receiving is thousand of bots offering their "shilling services" or "i can moderate for 1 bnb" or shit like that.

Subreddits like cryptomoonshots could be the best way to grow, but they are flooded with bots spamming shitcoins and nobody reads it anymore. Where do you think he could advertise his project in a platform where people could listen

there are many good websites for it. but I suggest it's better to focus on developing the platform and use the promotional funds for listings in big markets like Binance, Huobi or Kucoin. this is much more useful because investors and traders will pay attention to projects like this. marketing through oversized promotions doesn't help now, it's just a waste of money and not very profitable. like you said, too many bots and people just don't care and think of them as shillings.
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Prediction on: February 07, 2022, 09:39:06 AM
Are there any good websites or platforms predicting where crypto will be in value 10 yrs from now?

nothing like that. because no one knows what will happen in the next 10 years. the only way is to do the analysis yourself. after all even if there were, I doubt anyone would believe in it. if there is a website/platform that gives an idea of what will happen in the next 10 years, maybe more people will deny it and don't believe it. rather than believe what the website says.
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT real store of value on: February 06, 2022, 01:48:32 PM
I don't think that NFTs are real store of value because they have no liquidity and volume, how can one say that NFT is a real store of value when you can only sell if anyone is willing to buy, the advantage that a good alt coin have over NFTs is huge this is why I don't like the buying and selling idea of NFT or there is more I don't know about?.
from the start the value of art is speculative, it depends on the enthusiast. so NFT is not suitable for store of value. whatever the reason, nft is not the best choice for it. as you said have no liquidity is one of the reasons why nft is not suitable. just because it's unique, doesn't mean it's going to be of value every time.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What use case is crypto lacking today? on: February 06, 2022, 06:44:07 AM
I don't think there's anything new, all use cases have been implemented in crypto. it's just that these projects are still less popular and can't compete with mainstream platforms. all ideas have been implemented in crypto ranging from social media, games, and so on. what must be done now is no longer implementing the idea, but thinking about how to compete with mainstream platforms so that users want to use crypto-based platforms.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin evangelist Michael Saylor says crypto regulations would speed adoption on: February 05, 2022, 09:18:09 AM
I agree with what Michael Saylor said. regulation can be a positive catalyst for adoption. without clear regulations, institutions will not want to adopt crypto especially bitcoin. that's why the role of government is needed for this. if regulations on crypto are released, institutions like the SEC will find it easier to regulate crypto projects. the impact will be favorable for the market.
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULDN'T THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOKENS BE MORE SUPERVISED ? on: February 05, 2022, 03:03:32 AM
These days, the number of scam projects in the cryptocurrency space is really getting alarming.
It seems as if creating a cryptocurrency or token is as easy as opening a facebook account, and that's why rug pulls and other forms of crypto scams is rampant now.
Shouldn't the blockchain technology restructure their requirements and tighten their audit methods to prevent or to an extent, reduce this menace?
I think some progressive actions should be made, like more strict supervising and audits and as well, due consequences should be attached to defaulters.
Cause it's really disheartening the loss being recorded everyday due to elaborate cryptocurrency scam schemes.

The SEC is trying to do all that, but its authority is limited to the USA. so they don't have more power to oversee the fraudulent projects out there. after all, even if there is a supervisory agency, decentralization will be the biggest obstacle to their efforts. there are many projects that are released anonymously, and this is a problem in the crypto industry.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where is SHIB coin going? on: February 04, 2022, 02:20:25 AM
SHIB has been stable lately. Are you expecting a pumping about this crypto soon?
no, because that's impossible. the market is in a bad situation and there will be no pump for SHIB

What are your expectations about SHIB in the near future? Will this project meet expectations?
no, because from the start I didn't expect anything from this coin. I only make SHIB as a short term investment. and when the hype of this coin wears off I will sell it.

The market cap of $11 Billion and the amount of circulating supply is insane. Is it normal for it to be so low under these conditions?
very normal and because the total supply is too large, I worry that at any time there will be a dump. the current price, I think is beyond my expectation. I think the SHIB price should be lower than it is now.
74  Economy / Economics / Re: IMF urges El Salvador to remove Bitcoin as legal tender on: February 03, 2022, 09:34:17 AM
They don’t have the jurisdiction to do that to president Bukele and the country of El Salvador, because they were not educated enough about Bitcoin or doing some research about its positive takes. IMF is just simply illiterate and was just fed up with lots of misinformation about BTC and cryptocurrencies.

El Salvador has taken the right step towards innovation and adoption and they don’t want to be left behind. I even wished that Philippines would do the same after the election of our next president this coming May 2022.

if you see what happened to el salvador, i think the philippines will rethink their plans. el salvador is experiencing economic problems after legalizing bitcoin, and this will be a consideration for countries trying to legalize bitcoin/crypto. and I think what the IMF did was right. from the start they warned that country, and see what happens when bitcoin is downtrend.
75  Economy / Economics / Re: India's 30% tax on income from digital asset on: February 02, 2022, 11:34:00 AM
great step to legalize crypto, but I don't agree with 30%. isn't that too big?
If this policy is legalized, I think there will be a lot of people against it. because the percent of the tax is too high, and does not make sense if applied.  they should come up with a new better proposal and change the 30% to a reasonable numbers.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I’m done with trash coins!! Looking for something promising on: February 02, 2022, 06:43:33 AM

While this is indeed temporary, I’m looking for stupid cheap but promising in long run, not necessarily moon this day and tank tomorrow

hard to find one like that, because basically any good quality coin will quickly fly high. So it's very hard to find cheap coins that will go to the moon. but if the question is changed, which coin will go to the moon in the future. I can predict it a bit. the way is easy, look at its potential and what the market needs today. Currently the Metaverse, NFT and defi projects are quite popular. and all that requires a blockchain network that is cheap, fast and of good quality. that's why the higher the popularity of metaverse, nft, and defi projects, the demand for smart contracts will increase. so projects like solana, polygon, terra, Near, Fantom, avalanche, Cardano and others will have a great opportunity for to the moon in the future.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The possibility of cryptocurrency regulation in the metaverse on: January 31, 2022, 08:20:52 AM
The metaverse is the new cryptocurrency environment and this time the virtual world is gradually taking over the physical world and activities, most business and new development in various sectors have moved their business to the metaverse and the truth is regulators are beginning to see the possibility and crypto regulations in the metaverse which is one thing most crypto enthusiasts are worried about the total privacy of the metaverse and privacy will look like in the new era.
if it has a positive impact on the crypto industry, I don't think there is a problem with regulation. I think this will have a good effect. if we put aside the issue of privacy, regulators provide a sense of security. We know there are many crypto projects related to the metaverse released every day and among them there are many bad projects. regulation will make such projects disappear.
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization ain't the solution to everything on: January 31, 2022, 04:14:27 AM
Decentralization is like giving criminals 200% freedom to do what they like and escape with it, this is like a lawless country where criminals can get away with crimes and on the other part Decentralisation is freedom for good people too, we want to be free from the government and powerful people but honestly law existed for a reason in the first place, for everyone complaining about the government just imagine if there is none
From the start, decentralization was like a double-edged sword, it could be very beneficial or even detrimental. but despite all that we need decentralization, because freedom is no longer a choice but a necessity. centralized system is not feasible in this era. too many restrictive rules and all that is not profitable.
79  Economy / Economics / Re: Which business profit model do you prefer? on: January 30, 2022, 11:42:18 AM
China is known to the world in the trading business, generally buying / selling, one principle they pursue in business, (small profit, but routine all the time), if you ask me personally obviously I choose small profit, this is outside crypto.

The reason is simple:
• In business if you sell a product at a high price and make a big profit, of course people will buy it only once, so your product turns in slow (expensive) buying and selling.
• In the business of buying and selling for small profits, the rotation of your product is fast, your business will grow in minutes, hours or per day, automatically your products are selling well because (cheap).

with a small profit taking business, your economy is growing fast, instead of selling a big profit business one month one product sold.
I also agree with you. it is better to earn a small but regular profit, than a big profit that is only occasionally. it may be good to get big profit, but in this business it is not a good choice. It's hard to thrive when you're only making occasional profits. as you said, china applies the principle of "small profit, but routine all the time" that's why their business is growing fast and their products are cheap compared to other countries.
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Solana full of hype? on: January 30, 2022, 09:32:18 AM
I’m not sure, obviously it’s come from nowhere with a very low price to being one of the main coins people talk about. Some people mention it as the next ETH. I’m just not so sure, it’s had several outages & tgey just can’t continue to repeat or it’ll go to zero.
The reason while everyone is considering and always emphasised on Solana, is because of it's decrement during this few time experience of bear market, Solana doesn't fall to am extreme like other cryptocurrencies, so it seems that it has a tangible potentiality, but you can not use it and compare to ethereum potentiality, irrespective of it's domination, so you can not compare a developing coin with a coin that has already taken ground.

from the start solana still doesn't deserve to be compared to ethereum. their network is still having some problems, some times they are having very influential network problems. but compared to other new networks, i agree solana to be one that is growing very fast.
