61  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTC Guild - 0% Fees, Long polling, SSL, JSON API, and more [~1500 gH/sec] on: June 16, 2011, 07:29:02 AM
**********PSA**********

Everyone Directed to btcguild.com Should Redirect Themselves to One of the Following Servers.

uswest.btcguild.com
useast.btcguild.com
uk.btcguild.com
nl.btcguild.com

Everyone directing themselves to btcguild.com is being redirect straight to uscentral.btcguild.com. This is going to cause uscentral.btcguild.com to overload

This is in your best interested to distribute yourselves out.

Whats stopping btcguild from using round robin or some other distributing algoritm when going over? that would sovle the single server overload issue directly.
Deepbit points you to the closest server when you use their adress so it is possible to do.

Edit. everyone mining with the guiminer or other mining softwartes with hardcoded addresses would have to change miners to use those links.

I dont remember doing those 3 payouts to my wallet at all, for now iv changed password ,wallet address and moved all my btc of my primary wallet to a offline one on a usb stick.
Those payments were requested by API calls. If you use Windows Sidebar Gadget it does this when you click on your balance.

Ah, did not know that.
Thanks for clearing it up.

65  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New 6970 Overheating? on: June 14, 2011, 05:40:33 PM
Jumping in on the discussion as i have ref 6950's unlocked (thats is a 6970 with slightly lower quality memory chips).
For overclocking have a look at MSI Afterburner or Sapphire Trixx.

Racerx will allow you to change the ccc overclocking ranges through regedits.

thread http://www.techimo.com/forum/graphics-cards-displays/256789-enable-higher-overclocks-ccc-reg-entry.html
Edit. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS WITH 5XXX AND LOWER CARDS IT WILL MESS UP YOUR VIDEO DRIVER AND LIKLEY FORCE YOU TO UNINSTALL IN SAFE MODE.

My 6950s are chugging along fine at 1 Ghz Core / 1200mhz ram 1.205 vcore. They are however watercooled.

Just make sure to increase the power limit in ccc when playing around with the 69xx cards, or they will throtle themselves down as they hit the power draw limit built into the driver.
66  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Beta 4 Released! BitMiner - Advanced Mining GUI on: June 14, 2011, 05:29:52 PM
bla bla bla, you must install .net framework v4.0
iv got .net 4.0 installed already so what gives? no other software on my computer complains on the framework.
67  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Major Problems with MSI 6950 x 2 setup please help UPDATE: FRYS SUX!!! on: June 10, 2011, 08:38:09 AM
650 W psu is not enough for 2 6950s mining.
My unlocked 6950's use  ~640w at the power socket. i strongly doubt a 650w psu has 590-600w on the 12v rails used for the gpus.
68  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Beta 3 Released! BitMiner - Advanced Mining GUI on: June 10, 2011, 08:25:55 AM
It starts now, ill have to wait untill tonight to test if mining works with it.
Question though. do you need to run several instances to have it mine on more then 1 gpu?

70  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New Release! BitMiner - Advanced Miner GUI - Beta 2.1 on: June 09, 2011, 08:58:28 AM
Cant you do something realy cheesy like using a free dns redirect using no-ip.org or simmilar to a filehost link and some basic html parsing to get the version number from the file name on the page. that would allow you to skip having a server for it for now.

Edit. removed quotes as they bugged out.

71  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: New Release! BitMiner - Advanced Miner GUI - Beta 2.1 on: June 09, 2011, 08:06:03 AM
could you please move away from the windows aero dependancy? i hate having it on. other then that, great software.

Just download the XP version. All that's different in that is I've disabled Aero for it Smiley

Cant see a download link for xp V2.1   Huh

Ah, dammit. Sorry I didn't update the post for it. Im gunna release Beta 3 in about an hour. Hang tight.

Haha no problem. What about integrating a small auto update, or atleast semi update that would notify the user about a update + link for it?
72  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I feel like I'm dreaming, is this crap for real? For how long? on: June 09, 2011, 08:04:38 AM
http://bitcoinx.com/profit/index.php is wrong in so many ways it should be shutdown. As it simply Does Not account for any difficulty increases AT ALL.

That one has been a issue for beginners for a long time now now by giving out false earning values.

75  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I may have a issue with my 6950 2G on: June 07, 2011, 07:48:58 AM
yes, 6970's to and likley 6990's.
If anything touches the gpu hardware/acceleration while you mine you crash.

We should make a petition and send it to the AMD devs regarding this issue, i bet it affects folders to.

May we see a Linux or Windows GUI for this in the future?

Windows Gui is called MSI Afterburner/Sapphire Trixx And Catalyst Control Center

Edit. theres no point at all to reinvent the wheel.

a Couple of photos of the rig would go a long way in letting the forum uses give improvement suggestions.
