61  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Domain Sale on: March 09, 2015, 01:53:47 AM
Globalcoinwallet.com goes for how much? I understand you don't want to put any prices there, but it may be helpful to get some more replies, y'know? But just to get it started: 0.01BTC for that one?  Wink
62  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Amazon gift cards, 50% discount on: March 09, 2015, 01:52:09 AM
How are you able to sell these for less value than they are worth? Did you buy them when bitcoin was higher or something? Please help me understand  Grin
63  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinRPG! A Bitcoin RPG Game! on: March 09, 2015, 01:49:59 AM
Hmm, is it just me or is the website down? I'd like to see a trailer or some screenshots, does anybody know of a different place to see those? Thanks, game looks great from the top post!
64  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Beta test a simple automated bitcoin exchange + giving away 2 BTC + No beta fees on: March 09, 2015, 01:48:28 AM
How do we know you won't just run away with our bitcoins? I really love the idea, but I don't want to put money on a service that a stranger built that promised me a bitcoin, you know... It's very tempting to just run away with those coins.
65  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: March 09, 2015, 01:47:05 AM
10,000 bitcoins. Not because bitcoins aren't valuable, but because you want to retire as a USD billionaire (in the present value of USD) Smiley

Exactly! Aim high and shoot for the stars. Fuck the moon, we'll be at mars in twenty years! That's why I'm hodling all my coins. Cashing out is saying you don't believe in bitcoin. You'll have to pry my triple-encrypted-USB stick from my cold, dead hands.
66  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Cloud Mining Profitable? on: March 09, 2015, 01:44:14 AM
Also even if people are saying they are "getting payouts" and "good site" they are either shills or they genuine posters. Either way if its a ponzi the early investors always get paid well..

Exactly. So, lesson learned: get in early (< 10 pages of comments) and sit back and enjoy. Just remember to cash out on time, that's the important part. I'd love to hear some stories about big "winnings"  Grin
67  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a virus to humanity, just another thing to manipulate us. on: March 09, 2015, 01:41:55 AM
No. It's way too "free" for that. Bitcoin is liberating, not yet another thing to manipulate us. Money in itself was created to make a difference between people, though. Wealth was a really weird concept to the cavemen... I'm curious if wealth/poorness ever disappears.
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The proof-of-work is spurious and not useful computation on: March 09, 2015, 01:40:13 AM
You're completely right. It's only useful to generate bitcoins. They should create an altcoin which works with SETI@home or Folding@home (you know, those research-mining program thingies)
69  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: March 09, 2015, 01:38:36 AM
Yes. My girlfriend uses bitcoin. It's not a lot or anything, but it's something. She's very enthusiastic about it, because I am, too. She wanted to mine on her old crappy laptop, how cute  Cheesy
70  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What did you do with your bitcoin today? on: March 09, 2015, 01:37:17 AM
Nothing. Nothing at all. Well, technically, I've moved them from one wallet to some others. If one wallet gets compromised, I only lose 10% of my bitcoin. That's a lot less than 100%, but a lot more than 0%, unfortunately.
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DIY,Bitcoin cold wallet USB stick creation step by step guide on: March 09, 2015, 01:36:03 AM
Great guide, will definitely use this in the future. I should really have more backups of my wallets, and I should have a cold wallet as well (paper or something). I don't even trust printers, man. Especially those network-connected ones.
72  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: | what do you say about this | ||Alert|| on: March 09, 2015, 01:34:34 AM
The internet is a scary place. You only need one lapse of judgement, one wrong look... You only need to forget looking at the URL one single time, and it's over. All your bitcoins lost. Unless you have multiple wallets, which you should.  Wink
73  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coinbase. :-( on: March 09, 2015, 01:32:37 AM
Wow, thanks! After reading this topic, coinbase won't get any business from me anytime soon. Localbitcoins it is!  Grin On a similar note, does anyone know if Dutch banks are permissive about bitcoin?
74  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin surpass 300 in the next 24 hours? on: March 09, 2015, 01:29:14 AM
I wouldn't count on it. It's quite stable around 250-275 for weeks now. What makes you think that this will change on such short notice?

HODL until the end. Buy shit. Live long and prosper. Yadda yadda yadda.
75  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New bitcoin microwallet faucet on: March 09, 2015, 01:27:36 AM
I think these dusty faucets should be gone forever. I read a topic somewhere about how faucets can be bad for bitcoin. I don't really agree, but I don't like the big spammy banners all over the place. Talk about wasting your computer's energy.
76  Economy / Services / Re: I need some one to buy me a $3700 laptop on Amazon. Paying 9.50 bitcoins!!! on: March 09, 2015, 01:24:59 AM
Why can't you convert the 9.5 bitcoin in fiat and then buy it? Can you provide proof of your 9.5BTC in the blockchain? These are REALLY important questions that need to be answered before anyone should even think about doing this for you.
77  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: March 09, 2015, 01:22:54 AM
Faucets give people bitcoin to experiment with.

This is everything that needs to be said. When I first started, did I get thousands of bitcoin? No. I got 0.0001, and immediately gambled it every time. One time, I won 0.01, and that was the start of my "bitcoin career". I got it up to 0.74 or something before "investing" in f'n LABCOIN. I quit bitcoin around then, I was too pissed off. Now I'm back again. Hi!  Smiley
78  Other / Off-topic / Re: What continent are you from? on: March 09, 2015, 01:20:15 AM
I swear. The moment someone says, "I'm from Antarctica" I am flipping fucking tables.

I'll spare you the effort, since I'm from Daedelia Planum (a "continent" on Mars).

Pffft, that's nothing. I'm from zz9 plural z alpha! You probably haven't heard of it, it's soooo underground and hipster and cool. Just like I am cool because I know what zz9 plural z alpha means.  Grin
79  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question about the price gap between BTC-E and Bitstamp on: March 09, 2015, 01:18:19 AM
Most people don't really care they can make a quick 10 bucks? If you keep doing that, you'll get a lot of money in a very short time, or am I mistaken? I probably am, huh?  Tongue
80  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Dutyfree.io - Buy cheap cigarettes with Bitcoin on: March 09, 2015, 01:16:28 AM
Could someone comment on delivery to the Netherlands? Specifically about speed of delivery. Also, OP, can you send to a company like this? https://www.deburen.nl

It's a company that has some rooms in the city which are always open, where people can collect their packages. I'd like to be discrete about my smokes  Wink
