Reference from an influencer is by far the most important of the options

Cointelegraph has been advertising for an ICO called Coinlancer - https://www.coinlancer.io/ - that sounds nearly identical to the Blocklancer project, and will be holding and ICO in the coming months. Is the Blocklancer team tracking this project, and if so can you address what sets Blocklancer apart from Coinlancer? Hi, yes we know about Coinlancer. Basically this is just a bad copycat of Blocklancer, which popped up from nowhere. I read their (not very detailed) whitepaper and there are some major differences: - They are not distributing the fees among the tokenholders
- The fees are paid in their own token, which means that their platform cannot be used without their token
- They have nothing about the platform online: no code, no demo, nothing.
- They write that they will release the platform right after the ICO, which is suspicious (Why not before? We release before the ICO and already released a Demo before the pre-sale)
- The whitepaper is not very technical and is not describing how they will solve anything in detail (the Whitepaper of Blocklancer is very technical and detailed)
- They have no businessplan
- They have no community(13 follower on Twitter!), I was also not able to find a BitcoinTalk ANN from them, they have no slack/discord/Rocket.Chat
- They are not showing how much money was already invested
Coinlancer seems scammy but please make your own due diligence! Kind regards The Blocklancer Team All excellent points, thank you. I look forward to the outstanding Blocklancer project.

Isn't this what Golem does?

Interesting. I've looked into it a bit and the Samsung VP bit seemed to be the only positive that stood out. Thanks for the info.

I thought it was supposed to be a joke the first time I saw it. However, I thought the same about OMG when I first heard about it, and that's been pretty good for me so far

Plus NEO just announced they're moving to Korea, so we should see some nice gains in the short term

One day closer than it was yesterday.

Looks like a good time to me. I've got fiat on standby, I plan to keep a close eye on the market and will probably pull the trigger within the next 24hrs

If they haven't put much care into the whitepaper, then they probably haven't put much care into the project. A poorly written whitepaper should be a big red flag.

It's political posturing. After the "election" next month it will all blow over.

Run your wallet address through blockexplorer.com and look at the transaction history.

The same reason that a coin can be green against USD but red against BTC, just substitute ETH for USD

They will keep going with or without China. Red Pulse delayed their ICO due to China regulations, but I'm sure they will still go forward with it sooner or later regardless of China.

Too hard to predict. I don't think anyone predicted all the FUD that hit last week, so another round of negative news could happen any time. Right now my eye is on the Chinese National Congress next month. That could potentially cause a swing either way depending on the outcome.

Blocklancer should be releasing an Alpha soon. ICO is toward the end of the year.
