Here you go: 7970modbios.zip Use the latest ATIFLASH for a successful flash. Is a generic AMD bios I modified (with a hexeditor) for all my 7970 cards, using them for months. I can not guarantee that is gonna work for all 7970 cards, so far I flashed only Sapphire, XFX and MSI cards. Use the -f parameter to force the flash and of course make a backup of your original BIOS. Hi, I tried it and it's working realy well....just one problem I can only mine sha256 with it for scrypt have to switch bios....is possbible to have a bios with mem from 150 to 1.500? Or is possible use the other bios switch but without reboot?

i think increase freq means exactly switch to another bios with new limit.Have you to reboot in order to boost?

I just ask you what model of GPU u are using but don't know why you don't answer.....it is working because your local work are up but with diff to 192 for that hashpower is too mutch...

Basically one of them in writable and the other not. you can flash custom Bios and have the default Bios on board also so if the custom one doesn't work you can switch to the default bios, boot the machine, switch back to custom one and flash a new custom bios.Don't know wich is custom and wich default one....

What GPU are u using? 42Khash is very low.....looks like u are using the CPU....probably u have missed cgminer setting for your specific card....

U have to undervolt the card for keep temp lower.....the default 1.170 is realy too mutch....

I haven't a 7870 but for scrypt mining u have to find the right value for memory.....for sha256 u can downclock memory for scrypt u have to overclock it in the right range....for example on my 7970 i use these settings: core: 985 mem:1410 core: 1000 mem:1475 u have to do some small change in memory wait 30 second and check the hashrate. If u are on windows use MSI afterburner for do this.
