The currently in-app AIR is actually worth a magnitude of 100x less than the AIR in the token-sale will be. i found airtoken on coinmarketcap's advertisement. its an interesting project, tried airbrowser on my mobile phone, but i didnt understand it. How can i use this app on my phone?

Thanks for the answer. That's what I had in mind yes. Will this list also expand in the future? Will you also take care of the advertisers or will you leave this part to carriers? By my understanding it seems like a win win win situation for: Advertisers: having interes because of large number of potential customers Carriers: Even if offering some free internet they earn allot more on advertising commision Users: Having free internet Carriers can even advertise offering a free internet because they can earn more from adds if people use the browser than by selling GB Am I getting the picture correctly? I believe mostly so, yes. It's not necessarily free internet, it's the ability to dramatically lower the cost through your own actions. It also is one small part of a larger ecosystem (which you noted as well), where everyone can benefit. And eventually it will include many more options, driving a very robust system. I admit I may be a little bit biased, but the possibilities here are very exciting! |

What a joke, the presale buyers get a "BONUS" of 5% more; however, due to sending the Ethereum in early and the rise in Ethereum they end up with a worse offer then the people who get into the ICO. Why the hell would they not just set the pre-sale price to the start of the ICO price so it's fair to everyone. Way to reward the early adopters that sent the most, give them a worse offer. The sale does not start for 3 weeks yet. No one knows what the price of ETH will be when it begins. Let's wait and see how the math actually plays out when the time comes. I think it's a fair bet it will go up or down a few times before then. |

I would like to know if Airfox is already in different countries or is it still in the U.S and didnt branch out? Im just comparing this to project OMG

Why is it that only ETH is being accepted in the public ICO? Shouldnt it be more easier to reach the cap if more options are available?
It is an ETH-based ICO and token. It will interact with an ETH smart contract throughout the sale, completion, and creation. Use of other currencies is not impossible in such situations, but it generally does add complexity and some processing delay on non-ETH currency, which can cause some to miss the sale if they decide to use something besides ETH to deposit. These, and other factors, are part of why the decision was made to go with ETH only. |

When you intent to provide micro loans with your platform, wouldn't it be better to have a pegged currency for that? Or how is volatility being coped with?
Someone who has a clue might comment on this? The short answer is that nothing is really pegged, and some of the fiats of the world are actually the most volatile currency. Especially in some areas where mobile use is most expensive. |

Can someone help a complete idiot - me.
I've been thinking about bying into AirToken but what can I do with the AirTokens when I get them, the only thing I can see is that I can only use them to pay for mobile phone time/data using one of the two apps, Airfox Browser or Airfox Recharge ($10,000 worth of AirToken would last me several lifetimes talking on the phone) and why no Windows/Linux wallet ?
My question is, can I sell AirToken for some other altcoin or fiat, and how would I do that.

A couple excerpts from the Whitepaper relevant to this: We are launching AIR as an Ethereum ERC20-compliant token for a more efficient and
decentralized mobile ecosystem across carriers, advertisers, publishers, and users.
1. Users: Access to mobile capital via micro-loans and advertisers. AIR will be used as the
ledger of record for the user’s smart-phone data and personal information. Users will
receive AIR rewards for opt-in advertising (instead of the ads being an invisible burden
on their data) and micro-loans of AIR based on our internal AirFox user “credit-score,”
furnished by AirFox for AirFox internal underwriting guidelines only. Users can redeem
AIR for mobile data recharges across prepaid carriers around the world, and eventually
physical and digital products, across publishers and advertisers.
2. Carriers: AirFox will programmatically buy airtime and data in bulk from carriers.
Carriers want to maximize spectrum and data usage from subscribers in order to
maximize revenue. AirFox will purchase data at a discount in bulk across carriers. Users
will be able to redeem their AIR into their carrier’s pre-paid account to use for other
services outside of mobile data. The carrier benefits from these extra micro-transactions
that did not exist before as well as bulk data purchases.
3. Advertisers: Advertisers will have higher ROI, fewer intermediaries, better data
targeting, less fraud and low-income user access. Advertisers and developers will be able
to target and reach the unbanked prepaid subscriber. Advertisers and programmatic
networks can also choose to directly sponsor all or a segment of users with AIR for
opt-in, attention or engagement.
4. Publishers: Publishers will have higher monetization, new user reach and a better user
experience. Publishers can implement our AIR reward, micro-loan and advertising
system to enable higher user output. Publishers can offer an in-app purchase, digital
products and physical products as a microloan. They can also allow users to one-click
buy their services using their AIR balance. Advertising-based publishers can also reward
the users with AIR for being active users or by creating an actionable moment within the
publisher's application, website, or other software capable of AIR integration. AirFox intends to the funds raised via the token sale to buy data in bulk, develop the micro loans
program, and expand its consumer-facing business worldwide. AIR will be used across all of our
platforms and products. AIR will first be contained to the Browser and Recharge apps,
eventually we expect to open up the token to external publishers and advertisers in order to
directly enable mobile capital access in their own properties using AIR. AIR will be a utility for
mobile data, and eventually it should be further used as we roll-out micro-loans and allow
external AIR developers and advertisers to launch our advertising reward and microloan system
within their apps and properties.
