61  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: November 05, 2017, 06:09:26 PM
From my own experience I will say that the best investment is an investment in your wallet, and you will sleep peacefully Grin

Nothing better than a good night sleep, while your BTC are safe in a hardware wallet with multiple safely stored backup paper keys
62  Economy / Speculation / Re: $10.000 = 1BTC on New Year? on: November 04, 2017, 06:38:53 PM
If Bitcoin can push through all the possible FUD caused by the fork
10K is clear goal and from there 100K is very reachable in 2018

But then you have crypto influencers going hard against the fork like

Charlie Lee
@SatoshiLite

"If Segwit2x miners manages to kill original chain with a 51% attack, Bitcoin will eventually lose the crypto throne. My bet is on Litecoin."

A diversified account that you secretely add coins to every month and when they turn 18 you give it to them.

It will probably be a few millions if you play your cards right and invest some serious money

Seriously BTC is one of the best examples of a free market system you could ever find
66  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is over 7000$ Should i invest now? on: November 04, 2017, 03:19:25 AM
As others have previoulsy stated, if you think that BTC is going to drop to 6000 then you should wait until it happens before investing.

My personal suggestion is to wait until after the fork before buying BTC
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ***WHERE THE HELL IS MY BITCOIN GOLD*** on: November 04, 2017, 03:17:46 AM
Has the Bitcoin Gold blockchain officially come online yet??? I want to get them and sell them. Seems like we're getting scammed!!!

Bitcoin Gold ceasing to gain traction in the market isn't a scam, it's the free market at work.

It's hilarious how angry people can get over something they're getting for free, didn't have to do anything to acquire, and don't have any genuine control over it's creation.

I agree with you

OP :Remember that we still associate the value of something with it's price, as BTC Gold is basically free, it's associated value for most folks will be very low, and it will lose it's market share
68  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this SUDDEN price rise good for BTC? on: November 03, 2017, 04:19:49 PM
Yes it's good

Bitcoin needs to continue feeding the Satoshi cycle to reach the mainstream

https://cointelegraph.com/news/satoshi-cycle-interest-in-bitcoin-raises-price-which-raises-interest

BUT

The price is also going up because of so many people buying Bitcoin because of the next Fork, and forks in the end are slowing down the mainstream adoption as they complicate crypto even more for the common people and sow FUD into their trembling hearts

You should focus on the financial applications of blockchain technology and how bitcoin solved the double expenditure problem through the use of a descentralized system
71  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SSD update worth it? on: November 03, 2017, 01:49:06 AM
Go for the SSD the speed at which you will boot up your system will make it worth it, also wait for cyber monday on Amazon to buy it, so you can save the most money.
And get a trezor or ledger with it if you dont already have one
72  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What are the bottlenecks of Bitcoin? on: November 03, 2017, 01:44:47 AM
Right now Bitcoin is having massive power consumption for mining and we have to add the fungibility and scalability issues as others have said
But I would also add one big problem STIGMA bitcoin has received massive negative press because of its use in the silk road and other deep web markets which has caused a lot of bad impressions for the coin
73  Economy / Economics / Re: What is a good amount of BTC to Buy? on: November 01, 2017, 07:30:56 PM
Then after you are more familiar with wallets and exchanges you should try investing as much as you can spare  that means to be reasonable with your finances and consider it a high risk savings account
74  Economy / Economics / Re: What is a good amount of BTC to Buy? on: November 01, 2017, 07:28:57 PM
Right now the Bitcoin price is rising due to the next fork, as people will try to HODL bitcoin to receive the new forked coin

You should try to buy Bitcoin after the fork as people will once again start buying Altcoins and that should force the price down

For the question as to what is a good amount you should start with a low number to get yourself familiarized with the wallets like 0.02 or up to 0.05
75  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Healthbase is looking for additional team members! on: November 01, 2017, 07:23:55 PM

Also maybe I will try a paper wallet for my bitcoins

Very interesting calculation, we should also look for the rate at which the world's assets are growing and the rate at which Bitcoin is replacing them to make a prediction of when this goal is going to be achieved
79  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: November 01, 2017, 04:45:59 AM
Yes it would definately be popular

pherphaps even more popular as we could focus more on the underlying blockchain technology and less on the volatility of the price
80  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New Cryptocurrency Android app on: November 01, 2017, 04:44:08 AM
