Why are pools so slow at this?

Seriously.  This shouldn't take longer than a few minutes to compile on modern hardware.

I get that you are helping the Middlecoin community with your app, but do we really need the spam in the official Middlecoin thread?  Wouldn't a link to your own thread have sufficed?

Anyone else having this problem: http://imgur.com/zr9K0CT

I got Burfius Vertminer-GPU compiled and it runs, but the above is all the display I get.  I don't get the typical cgminer menu and display.  Compiled and running on Xubuntu 12.10.  This guy is the only other guy I have seen that has this exact problem: http://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/comments/1x55q9/cant_get_vertminer_to_display_information/

How can this be mined on ATI cards in Linux?

Nevermind: Figured it out.  Joining Stable Hash!

What is the time zone being displayed under the "Last Blocks" tab?  Is it in GMT?  The reason I ask is I see this for my node:
Code:
93499 Sun Feb 09 2014 08:40:00 GMT-0600 (Central Standard Time) 02ad14053894887b847d9060fbad4d070c2349b6eeb21a5ebd97ce329372bb6c

So is that saying that that block was found at 08:40 GMT and I need to use a -0600 offset for my time zone (which is Central btw)?

ALL coins are going to be down considerably today.

Doge is up actually.

Isn't that what Middlecoin has been mining the most anyway?

Does anyone know how to actually add alt coins to the P2pool system?  I'd like to setup a node for DigiByte coins but I really can't seem to figure out how to add it.

Have you guys considered  setting up your own P2pool node and just mining Doge for yourself??  I mean, if Middlecoin is mostly mining Doge anyway, you can save yourself 3% and do it on your own and not put up with these headaches that seem to plague Middlecoin on a regular basis.

At least, this is what I do.  I was on Middlecoin for about a month and a half (Dec - Jan) and just didn't care for all the glitches and the lack of transparency.  Also, I actually enjoy spending the 30 minutes a day it takes to trade my Doge manually.

The alt coin prices are down guys.  That is the main factor on why payouts are lower.  Last week at this time, Doge was above 200% profitability compared to LTC.

Have a look at my frontend - p2pool.smoothrunnings.ca:9332 - I like it much better than the Exteneded Front End.

Wow, that one is actually quite nice.  I am just running the Extended Front end by blixnood: https://github.com/blixnood/p2pool

Is this page still being supported?  Noticed there are lots of coins that are not being update.

Were binaries removed for space reasons from your ftp, ckolivas? Noobs are going to flip.

Is there anyway to tell if your P2pool actually hit a block?  Will the log file show anything like this if a local miner found one?

Going to be a shitty payout today with the server issues this morning coupled with the dive that BTC took today.  Ah well, always another day.
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 28, 2014, 12:38:07 AM
Maybe that server will payout something *cough* other than BTC...
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 27, 2014, 06:07:16 PM
In the last days I got about 1.3 per MHash.

1.3 BTC per Mhash or .013 BTC per Mhash?  I'm betting on the latter.

Hmmm. My 8 rigs are all reporting rejects of less than 3%.  They all seem to be around 2% which is a tad higher than normal.  This is on useast by the way.

The only time Dogecoin was .03/MH was last Tuesday when everything skyrocketed.  It most certainly hasn't been that high since then.
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 26, 2014, 02:05:38 AM
Looks like we are setting up for a great payout tonight.  Highest for me since last Tuesday surge in alt coin prices.  Whatever else H2o might be, he still has a hell of a pool here.  It still amazes me that he can actually provide me with better profits than the calculators say I should get with my hashrate.

Update is on the Middlecoin front page tweet over 1 hour ago.

Yeah I saw that. He might as well leave that tweet there 24x7x365 as they are always frozen, paused, or "updating in a bit".
