Vorona34, how did that happen? I mean all my coins are in my wallet, secured with a key and a password and everything. Did you miss out on changing from the old blockchain to the new one? You have to elaborate on your accusations if you want them to be believable.

Great thread. A real finder for someone making a brainwallet word list for hacking brainwallets ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I'm joking. Seriously, nobody should use a movie quote as a brainwallet for bitcoins. "I'll make him an offer he can't refuse" -- The Godfather

This is so sad, I'm sorry for your accounts, hope you can have them back. If the hacker did not have access to your e-mails, how was he able to get to your accounts? Was it a phishing site? A virus?

Yeah, great, remember if someone holds you at gunpoint in some dark alley and tells you "give me your bitcoins or die", the right answer is NOT "I don't have any bitcoins", the right answer would be "What's a bitcoin?" ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I'm joking, unfortunately the reality is more sad. There are people who are now hunting even those who own a certain amount of digital assets.

Such an interesting story. Good luck to you! It's great that you were able to recover your funds. BitcoinCore is a pain, they should really implement some fast sync options, downloading the whole thing from zero bytes is always a pain, and that zero balance showing up until full sync is also scary.

Anyone in possession of a large sum of money or any kind of capital should take enough precautions and security measures. Don't go walking around telling your friends or neighbors about your cryptocapital assets. I mean it is a good idea to educate your friends or loved ones, but you should not be bragging about how much you own to anyone. It's just part of your own security.

Any kind of means can be used by criminals. Dollar bills are used by criminals just as much. There is no point really discussing this, because anything can be used by criminals: sticks, Toyota cars, Armani suits, credit cards, banks, etc. It does not mean bitcoins should be prohibited. You would not ban cellular phones, just because criminals use them? Of course not.

What is it with the XLR coin dump? Is there a vulnerability out there? Looks fishy to me, there were no signs or no reason to dump this coin right now. Looks odd that such a small amount selling would generate such a high price fall. I guess it might not be a good thing that 60% of XLR is locked up, one person selling triggering such a price drop ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif)

I haven't tried the cooperative masternodes, however I have mined with CryptoHub before. They sent my mined assets to my external wallets just fine, in the time they promised. So I have no reason not to trust them. I imagine the cooperative node works like this - you send your assets to CryptoHub, so do the other n number of people, they set up the node for you, lock those assets and set up the node. They keep part of the proceeds to themselves, and send the other ones out in proportion to the % of the node you own.

Great, thank you MunCoin devs! The list looks good to me. When will the first 200 participants get bonuses and what will they be? Will it be only when we get the full 200?

Oh wow! Thank you, you really must be in a good mood today ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I wanted to send one to anakrea, tells me I don't have any spendable merit, guess I need more in order to share. So I will continue writing good posts and sharing merit with helpful members. Cheers!

Anyone playing this? I own a few cryptokitties and now there is a new feature - gems. I have a question about the gems, they don't seem to be tied to cattributes, it is just a visual for each cat-trait +or-? For example here: (some random kitties off the market) https://www.cryptokitties.co/kitty/253803and here https://www.cryptokitties.co/kitty/516560both have cloudwhite cattribute, however one has a gem with it, and the other one doesn't. What do they actually do? I have not been able to find a good guide for this ![Sad](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/sad.gif) I guess the devs like adding new features without actually explaining them thoroughly. There is also no search option in the market to search kitties by gems, am I correct? So like I want a cat with all gems, there is no way to find it without actually accidentally stumbling upon it in the big array on the markets? This kitty game gets weirder and weirder everyday.

I was actually joking about begging. If I understand it right, merit is earned by helping someone, making useful guides and providing quality information on the subject. For example, I will come back and give merit for helping me to anakrea and TMAN (even though he doesn't look like he needs it ![Tongue](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/tongue.gif) ) For now I'm just grateful, I am sure this information you provided is useful for everyone, not just me.

Oh, thank you. So which threads should I visit to get merit? Is there a merit-begging thread? ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I will write your nickname down and come back to give you merit when I have some ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I'm not getting it about the merit system. Please someone elaborate? If I write a good quality post, help someone by answering, etc., then someone can chose to give me merit right? If nobody wants to give merit, even if my posts are quality posts, then I just don't get any...never? If my account has 0 merit, I can't give anyone merit as well, right? This is a bit confusing ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) I understand that this system was invented to eliminate bots. However, if all members who give merit only chose to do so if they get paid, then the system is just not working? OMG, it means I will be a junior member forever? *cry*

Depends which alts. You need to look at the work, the team, and the future of the alt-coin you want to invest in. Are they doing their marketing, do they have big plans, are they up to date with what they promised? It's like choosing a company stock.

Why so negative about it? Crypto is an industry right now, it IS a job. It's the job of the future. If people did not pay for it, then nobody would sell it. There is a demand, and thus an industry. If you can't quit your day job, there is no need to take it out on people who can. I'm sure there are lots of different people making money on the crypto business: housewives, students, people who do have a day job, and even teenagers. You don't like people making money off Youtube? Don't watch it. If nobody was watching, they would not be receiving any funds. If you put enough skills into learning something new, wow, you can make money! It's a fair for all market - you no longer need to find big guys with fat wallets to fund your good business project, you can start an ICO and not go through humiliating business meetings or look like you're begging for money from rich guys. I think it's a great future!

Great. I'm still waiting for a message something like "Congratulations! You can now FINALLY sell your ETZ coins at XXX". ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) Such a disappointment. When the Chinese exchange opens, please someone report the price and the ability to deposit/withdraw ETZ. Thank you.
