I've been doing bounty campaigns only since December 2017. Not long, in the scheme of things. But one thing that truly surprised me during the last couple of months is the number of bounty hunters who look to sell their tokens ASAP. At first, I didn't understand why, but I think I'm beginning to.
For me, I'm doing these bounty campaigns for a bit of fun and to give my mind a bit work to do, creatively speaking. So my mindset for any bounty tokens is just to HODL and allow the devs to implement their roadmap and take the project through to completion. I think this will give the best realisation of value on the tokens. Sure, some may fail and they will likely end up worthless, but since I only invested time, not money, into receiving them, I'm not really worried.
So with that mindset, I struggled to understand why so many people were eager to offload their bounties at the earliest opportunity.
But over the weekend, I sat down and did some calculations on the accumulated bounty rewards I'm expecting to receive. Each bounty by itself was a modest return, but when combined in totality, it was a sizeable amount. And that's when it struck me...
Lots of people who live in less fortunate parts of the world, particularly in areas with high unemployment, probably NEED to sell their bounty rewards to put food on the table and pay their bills.
But I really don't know if my assumptions are correct. So, my question to you is...
Do you sell your Bounty Rewards straight away or HODL? Any insight into your reasons would be appreciated.
## If this post has been thought provoking for you, I'd really appreciate a bit of Merit in return ##
I think it depends 100% on whether YOU believe in the coin. If you don't, sell

By plan i mean when do you plan to cash out. Is it when you have made enough to buy a car, a house maybe? or are you setting your sights higher?
Personally i'd just like to own my own home, after that i would just play with spare change.
People would be wise NOT to cash out before the global financial reset which will be occurring anytime between now and a year from now. Cryptos are going to MOON when that occurs.

I think 99% of people in the crypto space can say they made a move either, buying, not buying, selling or not selling a coin.
It's happened multiple times to myself, and will probably happen again

Hi guys, Newbie here trying to set up a crypto profile. 1 month ago I had heard the name Bitcoin but didn't know what it was other than a digital currency and had not heard of any alt coins so bear with me I don't have a huge amount to invest, thus far i have 0.13 BTC and 2 ETH, 2.6k XRP AND 50 OMG. I want to keep adding to this and keep it for as long as needed, i am not really interested in trading as i don't understand this space enough to do that. Any ideas or thoughts? Should i move any of these around? Concentrate on adding to bitcoin? Add to XRP/OMG etc etc??? Also i have a ledger nano s en route to keep my coins. cheers I love, love, love your OMG investment. I am heavily into OMG, it's going to pop very high this year I feel. Ripple is a banksters coin, if you time this right you can make some money, at the end of the quarter, when they need to bank profits, the banks will sell Ripple. Long term, this coin will be a failure, but that will occur only after the banks fail and trust is lost (max within 2 years). ETH and BTC and very good investments, although ETH is facing some very serious competition with EOS , Cardano, NEO, etc... You may want to diversify into those a bit to minimize your risk.

Last week, Ripple sealed a deal with LianLian, one of China’s largest digital wallet companies.
That’s why Garlinghouse is an advocate for more regulation on the cryptocurrency market.
“I hope there’s more regulation,” he said. “If we want this whole asset class to grow up and mature, of course there should be more regulation.”
That is why Ripple is a JOKE, it will survive until the banks fail, which is going to happen within the year

Bitcoin will never die, the top dog need to be 1. Anonymous 2. Anonymous 3. Most Secure
The governments can not go after one who is truly anonymous.

Where and how would you invest 1m dollars? What coins will you buy? Or will you just put them in Bank? 40% in Physical Silver 10% in Physical Gold 30% even split between Bitcoin and Litecoin 20% even split among promising alts (OMG, PPT, SALT, EOS, etc.)
|
|
|
I like them both a lot. Litecoin, my gut says has got the better chance to win it on the multipliers (maximizing your wealth).
Ethereum is facing a lot stiffer competition, in the like of EOS, Cardano, NEO, Qtum, etc, etc.
Litecoin is blowing away their biggest competitor, Bitcoin, in terms of Speed, Functionality, Cost, etc....
Ethereum's Casper upgrade will be PIVOTAL in determining it's future

I like both but my money is on EOS at these price levels. I believe EOS has better multiplier potential

I like your last three the best:

Is there anyone else out there like me? Is there anyone else out there, that doesn't give two shits about the drop in the market, who's only concern is how they can come up with more fiat to buy into these low priced alts with great business ideas? Is there anyone else out there who understands what is occurring right now in the global financial system? Is there anyone else out there that knows the global financial system is going to reset anytime between now and a couple years max? And that the dollar will no longer be the reserve currency. Is there anyone else who realizes the losses that will occur on the stock market, people's 401K's, pension funds, etc.? Does anyone else realize when that day does arrive, the masses will awaken and realize that cryptos are the solution that could have saved them from financial collapse?
Well, that and holding physical precious metals, like gold/silver. Personally I keep a 50/50 split between metals and cryptos. The above is a forgone conclusion with the only question being the timing.
Good luck to all!

Altcoins are the future. If you study economics and you know about fiat currency backed by nothing, then you know the global financial system is near a reset. When that happens, people will DEMAND truth and honesty which the block-chain excels at. It's just a matter of time....HODL!!!!!

Please don't shoot me I too reacted the same way when I read the topic title.Infact, being an optimistic blockchain supporter,I didn't even bother to open the article until the geek inside me pushed me to.Anyway,I was surprised.I mean we should embrace the changes right ? Here ya go,welcome HashGraph. https://cryptoanswers.net/goodbye-blockchain-hello-hashgraph/For the lazy heads The new consensus algorithm
Introducing Hashgraph – a fair and fast, byzantine fault tolerant consensus algorithm. According to the founding Hashgraph team consisting of computer science and cybersecurity pioneers Dr. Leemon Baird and Mance Harmon, the hashgraph consensus method achieves the following notable feats:
It’s fast: 250,000+ transactions per second and limited only by a users bandwidth (Pre-Sharding) It’s fair: mathematically proven fairness (via Consensus Time Stamping) It’s secure: bank-grade security (Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerant) Why is Hashgraph superior to Blockchain? [read the actual article to know more]
EOS is set to introduce millions of transactions per second with no fees. Larimer is the developer, I'm a believer, bye bye Hashgraph.

It's easy to HODL when you don't want fiat. Fiat is the ultimate risk, I'll take my chances HODL'ing crypto

Facebook is a dead platform, they are terrified of the blockchain social network where the PEOPLE get to control and get PAID for access to their info. FUCK Facebook.

Everyone knows that Facebook, Google, Amazon have been propped up by the government for YEARS! The reason being, is they have helped in spying on the American people.
Cyrpto is a very real threat to their business. They will resist.

I am also into investing with some new ICO projects now which I think have more chances to make it especially in the long run. With ICOs, it is as if we are granted the privilege of being there when the project just started (though this is not the same as buying IPO with corporations). Of course, we all know that there are always risks here and that is what we should minimize with doing our own research and maybe also listening to what others might say.
Right now, one of the most popular and influential ICO or project endorsers is John McAfee...do you always value his own endorsement or just like anything you take his words still with some grain of salt?
To me, he generally seems like a straight shooter. Obviously very smart guy, and a bit eccentric. However, when a man discovers their words can move markets, it must be a very tempting thing to abuse, so I am cautious with him.

Question: We all know 90% of cryptos are based on Etherium however when EOS becomes mainstream is it possible for the Etherium based cryptos to migrate over to say EOS or will they still stay Etherium based?
Absolutely.... companies will choose the chain that works best for them. Just like I believe it was AdEx who switched from Ethereum to NEO. However, Ethereum is coming out with some updates, so if those match or surpass what EOS offers, it is doubtful they would change. It's like a Battle of Blockchains, USA vs RUSSIA, Larimer vs Butarin, Rocky, Part XXXIIII...hahaha
